I went here on Friday afternoon a little before 5pm and tried the beer flight - a selection of 4 beers of your choice from the menu. Apparently there must be happy hour, since when I got the bill, I was positively surprised that the flight was 50%? off, $7.50 before tax and tip. I normally do not like the typical beers, so I opted to get the sours and a barley wine, so I got the Space Dust just for the originality and Pink Shoes (huckleberry sour), Sunbreak (black lime pale sour), and Cyclops '22 (barrel aged barleywine) for the rotating selections. I love the sours as they are indeed sour and I liked the Pink Shoes one the most out of the 4 I selected. Cyclops '22 has a nice strong alcohol and quite smooth - it kind of reminds me of a texture of cold brew for some reason. Of course, because I don't like the taste of beer, the Space Dust is my least favorite, but it was good to check it off the list. Service is okay and at a bare minimum, which is a bit below average for an American establishment. Everything was done as needed, but the outsized value of the beer flight versus the quality makes this place high up there. I am not sure why this place is poorly rated in my experience. read more

This brewery is awesome. The beer is great, I especially liked the lemon daydream. The food is next level!! We had the fried mushrooms, caesar salad, and bratwurst. The mustard was a little too horseradishy for me, but my husband loved it. Blake took great care of us also! read more

Interesting spot for sure. Popped in for lunch recently and the place was pretty dead. I'm guessing it's busier at night? Definitely not a fan of their beers. We tried a few and they were all SO bitter! Even the lagers! The food was just ok, like upscale bar food, but not executed particularly well. The nachos were pretty paltry for the price. Like, where's the queso?! $14 for a pile of half bare chips is the worst. My cheesesteak was bland and the soft hoagie couldn't hold up to the meat and cheese. The thing basically disintegrated when I attempted to pick it up to take a bite. The fried chicken sammie was ok and the fish & chips was the best of the bunch. Oh, the fries were awful too! They were hand cut, but super burnt and flavorless. Overall, probably not a place I'd frequent again unless they step up their food game. read more

Love this spot! As someone who can appreciate but can't tell you much about beer, I enjoyed the variety of portions, as well as the laidback vibes of this place! We came here for a drink so can only speak to service and drinks. The menu is extensive! Lots of beers on tap (no surprise) and then a full bar with cocktails too. There was a food menu too (lots of options) but we were just here for the drinks. We had a group of 5. It was during the cold, snowy January 2024 weekend so it wasn't packed. We were seated right away. Service was friendly. Drinks were tasty. I'd definitely come back for a longer visit and try the food. read more

I love this place and I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it yet because we've been several times. We've never had a bad experience here, both our food and the drink selection are great. We've actually brought our kids here with us many times and they have a good selection for kids, including chicken tenders, excellent fries, delicious, mac & cheese, etc. I also have really enjoyed the fish and chips a couple of times and their burger is one of the best in Seattle. Again those fries are really delicious. I also really enjoyed their garden salad which is a simple green salad but their dressing is very umami-filled and I would bottle that up to take home. We've been a couple times too for snacks or lunch and have tried their nachos which have an excellent queso on them and some great pickled peppers. Definitely one of the better nachos I've tried in the city. Of course they have beer and they have nice tasting trays, but they also have some pretty great cocktails too. I like the vibe; I like that it's open air during the summer and they have a few tables outside. Staff are always welcoming and service is usually pretty quick. I feel like the portion and quality of the food is great considering the price, especially in seattle. read more

So impressed with Elysian - for a variety of reasons. We came here after visiting another local brewery where we did NOT have a good experience. Our hopes were that Elysian would take the bad taste out of our mouths (literally and figuratively) with some good brews. We were blown away! Diana was our server, and wow was she spot on. We weren't quite sure what we wanted a full pint of to drink, so we asked for a sample of one. She not only brought that sample, but samples of 2 of their other similar beers. How intuitive! Although they all were good, we finally settled on the Push Mower Pils, which was perfect. This is a very comfortable, welcoming brewery. It has a full bar that obviously makes a variety of mixed drinks. A full kitchen is also at this location, so if you're looking for some food to go along with your beer (or whatever you're drinking), Elysian does have that option. Such a great experience. We weren't rushed or encouraged to purchase anything more than we wanted. Diana was a great host, engaging in conversation with us regarding the area and info about the brewery itself. I checked out the menu online before coming here last night, and didn't see a lot of vegan options, so I actually ate food before arriving for my friend's birthday gathering. Turns out, the menu has a number of vegan options! Because I have been trying their beers from grocery stores in Seattle and I loved all of it, I went in here. They have a huge sitting area and offer indoor and out door sitting. If you are planning to go in large groups, this place is absolutely a good choice. We went there during happy hour. The beer, cocktails and food was amazing. They have endless options in the beer. You will find from an IPA to lager. Next time I am going back to try their beer flights! The staff can be more friendly. I am assuming they were in hurry because of the busy hours. The Cap Hill outpost of the classic brewery behind 'Space Dust' -- I've been a fan of their beers for a while and stopped by on a weekday evening. They have a spacious seating area inside and it was really easy to find a table. I was meeting a friend but it would totally work for larger groups as well!
