Amazing customer service, very sweet and welcoming. I stopped here randomly after a long day at the beach and when I walked in I realized this was a very fancy coffee shop that I was not prepared for because I felt embarrassed that I didn't look that good after being at the beach but I wasn't treated any different. They were very welcoming, friendly, polite and attentive. The place itself is very clean and upscale. Very beautiful and peaceful inside. I picked up one of Em's signature beverages: Matcha Einspanner on iced for $8.50 plus tax. The beverage came with ceremonial grade matcha, milk, and a house made salted vanilla cream that went on top. The match was pretty good. and the salted vanilla cream was milder than I expected. I wanted a little more impact from the salt and vanilla, but overall it was a tasty beverage. The matcha was definitely of good quality. The ladies that were working this new location offered very good hospitality. They were warm and welcoming and efficient with their service. The location offers limited seating inside, but given that it is at Mission Valley Center Mall, there are plenty of outside seating opportunities. read more

Love love LOVE!! I have been waiting to try this coffee shop for quite a while now, so I'm extremely happy we finally got to visit this weekend. The ambiance was wonderful--I loved the vibe and aesthetic of the place. It was bright, lively and felt welcoming inside. Service was great--the lady who helped us was nice and patient. Our drinks came out pretty quickly as well. They also have a kiosk near the door, if you prefer to order that way. What we tried: Royal Pink Lychee Tea Citrus Lemongrass Refresher White Truffle Tiramisu Cream Coffee Matcha Einspanner All the drinks we got were super delicious!! The White Truffle Tiramisu Cream Coffee and the Matcha Einspanner were both creamy, decadent and bold in flavor. I love that they both weren't too sweet either. One thing of note--their Vietnamese coffee packs A PUNCH. It's strong as heck, but once it mixes in with everything else, it's the perfect intensity and flavor. The Royal Pink Lychee Tea and the Citrus Lemongrass Refresher were both crisp and incredibly refreshing. They're both great twists on iced tea drinks without being overly sweet or watered down. The flavors and tea were still very much prominent in the drinks, which I really appreciated. I personally enjoyed the Citrus Lemongrass Refresher a little more because not a lot of cafés offer lemongrass drinks, and you can really get that flavor and essence in this one. Overall, we're already looking forward to the next time we can stop by. I'm so excited to try their other drinks! read more

Your bubble girl reviewer (peanut, tree nut, and seafood allergy) did not have an allergic reaction here. But always tell the staff about any allergies! Soft opening for this new coffee and tea shop, and I will definitely be back to try more. We had the Coco-Ube. It is Viet Phin Milk Coffee With Ube Cream with toasted coconut flakes ($7.50). Even though we got the regular coffee, not the strong coffee, i still feel like it was pretty strong and loved it! It was topped with a biscoff cookie. I'll have to try the matcha next, since i believe that's what they're known for. Located in Mission Valley Mall, this small shop is very nicely decorated and I really love the color scheme. The only caveat is there are no tables, just a long curved bench. So this not a coffee shop where you can bring your laptop and get work done. I'm not sure if they'll update that since it's the soft opening currently? I'll update this review when I can go back to try the matcha, desserts, and small bites! read more

So happy there's a wonderful matcha spot inside the mall! Omg they have so many options I got the banana bread one it was delicious! Maybe a lil sweet but you can adjust that (I didn't). They have so many coffee options and pastries too! Very cute interior. They just opened last weekend and I'm very excited to be able to get good matcha while shopping around the mall. Staff are sweet and made the drinks beautifully and quickly when I ordered (no line for me). I will say it seemed a bit steep I paid over $10 with tip for this. Stopped by this place which seemed new in mission valley mall. Didn't get their coffee so I can't speak on that (yet) but I got one of their lychee refreshers and it was delicious! Very refreshing, light, and not too sweet. Great for a hot day. My friend got the pandan matcha which was also very good but that one did seem on the sweeter side. So 1 the lady was so nice when she told me what would be in my drink I personally have a hard time deciphering when i don't hear what will be in it altogether. I got a Banana Toffee Latte the cup said "Be in the moment" but i was in multiple moments in every sip of my drink. I really was in a bad mood earlier this drink turned my day around. Ladies if your man is irritated get him this drink they will shut up trust me. The inside was nice it had nice little coushin on the booth like 1 per person sort of vibe on the other side of the table was another chair. The place was nice the tables dirty its why i did not sit there for my drink i had it to go, but I understand this place just opened they need business to hire. Mission Valley mall needed a new coffee and tea spot and the decor and ambiance of this one drew us in right away. But unfortunately, this one missed the mark for me. We tried the Coconut Matcha Blast and the Sky Peach tea and neither were sweet or flavorful enough. The matcha was bitter and there was really no peach taste in the tea. The employees were friendly and you can tell they definitely focus on making the drinks pretty and instagram worthy, which I do appreciate. Everything on the menu sounded really good so maybe it was just an off day? I could see myself coming back to try something totally different and give it another try. read more

New coffee shop in the mall so I had to try it out! I've been to the other locations like Mira Mesa and I was pretty impress. The banana matcha latte I got here was pretty good. Stopped by during their Soft Opening. First time trying their drinks (from franchise itself). I was excited because they have Pandan (Pandan Coconut Latte) but to my surprise, it's just a Pandan cream top. It was too thick compared to others I've tried. The color itself looked too artificial. The coffee itself wasn't as sweet which the pandan complemented. It's a small coffee shop which I like because it's not of an in and out instead of sit and sip. I've been meaning to try Em coffee in Mira Mesa but saw this location open in the Mission Valley mall as I was walking around so I decided to try it here. It's located near the middle of the mall across from the movie theater and Yardhouse. It's a small shop with a few seats inside to wait for your drink. The decor is cute and fits with the theme. The cashier was so nice and answered any questions about the menu. I heard him recommend certain drinks to other customers based off their desires as well. I just wanted a simple coffee so I ordered the marble latte. I honestly thought I might be disappointed in it as I didn't get one of the really pretty drinks with cream tops or other fancy add ons but my drink was absolutely delicious and hit the spot. I was very happy with my choice. The coffee was strong and so flavorful like Vietnamese coffee is known for. I got it with almond milk which made it creamy and smooth but not too sweet. The drink was perfect after being mixed up with the ice melting slightly. I'm so happy I tried this coffee shop out and I will definitely be back to try one of the fancier drinks. read more

this spot is so good for a studying! huge tables and lots of seats. the aesthetic is super clean with lots of greenery. the drinks are bombbbb the matcha has the thickest cream top that blends so nicely. and their new summer drink was also super refreshing and smooth. need to come back to try more of their matchas read more

This sweet little coffee shop just opened in The Valley mall next to Hot Topic. There's one bench for seating inside while you wait. You can order from a tablet at the door. I ordered the Ube Matcha with oatmilk. They also offer whole milk and almond milk. The barista was friendly and smiled, the transaction was simple and quick, and the beverage was cold and tasted quite nice! read more
