The made-to-order breakfast was definitely the highlight of our stay. There were plenty of options, and everything we had was really good. Our room was also nice, clean, and spacious, which made the stay comfortable. Unfortunately, there were a few things that really took away from the experience. Charging $32 for parking is pretty crazy, especially on top of the room rate. The pool area was also a major disappointment. It felt stuffy and uncomfortable, making it hard to actually relax. I had a deal that was expiring so I made a staycation out of it at Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North. I've stayed at other Embassy Suites so I have a comparison point. This location in Midtown is a notch below other Embassy Suites in the country. Let's start off with the good. I like the open, atrium feel of Embassy Suites. It's different than the norm and it's welcoming and beautiful. To be honest, I don't know why more restaurants don't do it. Another great thing is their complimentary social hour. From 5:30-7, each guest gets two free mixed drinks, beer, or wine from the hotel bar. The liquor isn't top-tier by any stretch of the imagination, but two drinks is nice. And they also have complimentary snacks. When I was there, it was chips and salsa, home made chips, and veggies with ranch. A third nice thing about Embassy Suites is their breakfast which extends beyond your typical breakfast fare at hotel chains. More options and a made-to-order omelette station. The downside is that the selection wasn't as good here as their location in Glendale, California that I recently stayed at. Overall, the breadth of options and the quality of the food was good there. Still though, solid for a hotel breakfast. On the flip side, you have to pay $32 for parking. I'm morally opposed to paying for parking at a hotel. It's a cheap money scheme. The happy hour and breakfast help make up for it, but still. The room was comfortable and clean. A little small but still pleasant. The only real issue I had with my room was the shower. I'm 6'2" and the shower head was too low. I had to get uncomfortable to wash my hair. If you're tall, you'll have the same issue. If you're short, you're fine. They have a pool, an indoor one, but it's pretty meh. I checked it out but decided to pass. Overall, a pleasant stay. They just have a little work to do to get up to other Embassy Suites locations. Last but not least, they granted me a late check out of 1 p.m. which was appreciated. read more

We stayed at this hotel for a conference, and our room itself was nice and comfortable - there was a separate sitting area, and the bathroom was spacious. The front desk, overall, was friendly and helpful; there was one member, however, was a bit unprofessional in their tone and the use of inappropriate sarcasm; not sure how he was stationed there? The interior of the hotel is great - loved how you could see the different floors. They have a 'Manager's HH' every evening, where hotel guests can get up to 2 drinks from the bar; note that the bartenders sign-off on a card that you'll receive when you check-in. Breakfast is complimentary and continental; they open their side kitchen where you can get a made-to-order omelette, if you desire. Loved the free breakfast and happy hour here. The hotel has a very nice lobby and all staff are friendly. Our suite was great. The kids enjoyed the pool. The hotel is secure at night as you need to use your room key to enter the lobby after a certain time. I picked this hotel due to its location. We needed it close to the college and other stores, too. The check-in and check-out were easy; I did it all in the app. The only thing I needed to do was get a tag for the car and provide the front desk with my plate number. The hotel was nice, the room was spacious, and it was quiet for us. We liked that the room had Jack and Jill doors (doors from the living room and from the bedroom). We were out of the hotel more than there to be honest. The breakfast area was a bit crowded in the area where it's set up. I wanted to try the breakfast, but too many people and everyone was going every which way! So I opted not to get breakfast. It was a nice hotel and we will stay there again if in the area. read more

Our room had bed bugs. My daughter and I stayed in a double queen suite for 5 nights in June 2026. The morning after our 2nd night, I noticed a few itchy spots on my arm but didn't think much of them. I inspected both mattresses for common signs of bed bugs, such as brown fecal spots, eggs, or shed exoskeletons, but didn't see anything obvious. After the 3rd and 4th nights, I developed several more bites, but they were small and easy to dismiss. I'm from the south and am used to mosquito and no-see-um bites, so I didn't suspect bed bugs at the time. It wasn't until we were flying home the morning after our 5th night that the number of bites had dramatically increased. By then, it became much more apparent that they were consistent with bed bug bites, which often appear in clusters or linear/zigzag patterns. I counted nearly 80 bites across my body. After returning home, I went to urgent care, where they confirmed the likely diagnosis. I was prescribed triamcinolone acetonide cream to reduce the inflammation and itching, mupirocin ointment to help prevent secondary skin infections from scratching, and hydroxyzine tablets because the itching had become severe. Typically bedbug bites may not even show up for up to 14 days after getting bitten because they inject a natural anesthetic (numbing agent) and an anticoagulant (blood thinner) while feeding. It had gotten dramatically worse over the next several days upon arriving home. Having read many stories about people accidentally bringing bed bugs home, I took every precaution I could. I left all luggages in the garage (and eventually trashed them), dried all clothing and washable items on high heat to kill any potential hitchhiking bedbugs or eggs, and even left my vehicle outside in the Texas heat for the day as an additional precaution. The stress of potentially introducing an infestation into my home is/was significant. I called the hotel and spoke with the manager, Monica, the day after we arrived from our trip. She was courteous and arranged for a third-party pest control company to inspect the room, promising to follow up the next day. I was later informed that the inspection found no evidence of bed bugs, although I was not provided with the details of how the inspection was conducted (just a screenshot saying no evidence was found). Bed bugs are stealthy and can hide in cracks/crevices that credit cards can't even get into. I believe it was an early infestation and why the obvious signs were not yet present. I appreciate that Monica handled the situation professionally within the limits of what she could do. However, based on my experience, I felt it was important to share what happened so that future guests can make informed decisions. I also noticed that there are two previous reviews mentioning bed bugs at this property, so I encourage travelers to read past reviews and inspect their rooms carefully upon arrival. Stay with caution and don't put your luggages on the carpeted floor or bed. The bites were almost entirely on my bed, while my daughter only had several bites, suggesting the exposure was much greater in my bed. Two weeks later we're still monitoring our home for signs of bed bugs, and the uncertainty has been very stressful. read more

I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix. From the moment my family and I arrived, we felt unwelcome and poorly treated. The staff was dismissive and made little effort to assist us, even when we clearly needed help. It felt like we were being ignored on purpose. What made the situation even worse was the way we were treated compared to other guests. It honestly felt discriminatory and unfair, as if we were not being given the same level of service because of who we are. No one should have to feel that way while staying at a hotel. We are very disappointed in our room. There is a very small walkway between the bed and the bathroom door. I had to roll out of bed and squeeze into the bathroom . The room is dirty: black hair on lamp..we are blondes. The balcony is so dirty that we unable to sit outside and enjoy the evening. The walls are so thin. This hotel mirrors the pictures on the website. The check in was quick and easy. The hotel restaurant dinner was delicious. The server was nice and polite. The hotel room is spacious and inviting. It looks like a bedroom in a house. I loved how you can go to the bathroom from the bedroom and other room. It was very quiet at night. I could not hear a sound through the walls. The room was cleaned with care and items were changed. They have so amenities in the bathroom. They have black towels for make up, large lotion bottle. Terrible experience! The hotel has undergone a remodel. However, all the structural parts are old and do not function at all. Stayed here on two separate days and the last month and had problems both times. Their rates are close to $300 a night and for that much the stay was totally not worth it. The walls are super thin so you can hear your neighbors talking or if they have the TV on you can hear everything. Good luck with trying to get some sleep. The second time I stayed at this hotel, the first room I stayed in did not have any hot water maintenance came to check it out only to tell me that the pump is broken. So I had to switch to a different room. I switch to the different room. I was able to have hot water to shower, but the toilet does not flush. These are the basics and this hotel can't even get the basic necessities, correct. Horrible experiences absolutely do not recommend. read more

Ugh, was trying really hard to not have to write a less then positive review but alas I cannot. Of our dealings with the check in desk there were two folks that seemed less then excited about their jobs. The room was ok, a bit worn around the edges with small stains on the couch, scuff marks on the walls, and the bed's bottom sheet sheet wasn't' made for a king. It seemed like they used a top sheet. The Wifi keep knocking me off and when I tired the app it won't let me use my name and room number. There's a log in code that they only show you when you first log in. Had to call down to the front desk to get it. Seems like they need to update their system. The free breakfast was nice. Location is close to the a tram so we gave. Do expect homeless around and in the tram. read more

The staff were nice and the view on the balcony was very pleasant and food was pretty good but there were kids in the pool that were screaming and being super loud. Louis at Embassy Suites - The Bartender Who Deserves a Medal Listen, if you're ever at Embassy Suites and you don't get Louis as your bartender, you're missing out on a life-altering experience. This guy handled our group of 30 like a boss for three solid days. Drinks? Delivered faster than you can say "cheers." Food? Magically appeared as if conjured by a wizard. But the best part? Louis' comedic timing is sharper than his cocktail-making skills--and that's saying something. I don't know if he moonlights as a stand-up comedian, but if not, he totally should. Through a misunderstanding, he was not reimbursed for the last night and we had to pay. Over $600 for one night stay??? In my mind, no hotel room is worth that unless in Las Vegas with a spa and sutie. You could tell that the hotel was renovated by little things...paint chips, bathroom. And, the overpriced "restaurant" is basically in the back of the lobby by the bar. Overall, not a pleasant experience. read more

This was by far the nicest embassy that we have stayed at. Room was great. Staff were even better. Kids loved being up on the top floor. We digitally checked in and we have a diamond members bag waiting in our room with waters, candy and chips. Plus, they had our managers reception tickets and a note on how to handle parking. It made our process so easy. Especially after long day and not wanting to go through the process of waiting in line. Settled in and then went down to the reception which the bar tenders took care of the kiddos with special drinks to make them feel included. It was amazing. Had a great experience here on a recent trip to Phoenix! My flight arrived at 9am. I went to the hotel to ask if I could leave my bags until check-in and they were instead able to get me into my room at this early hour which was such a nice surprise. They offer this early check-in for just $25. The front desk was so friendly making this last minute arrangement for me. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was included as were happy hour drinks. The location was about 20 minutes from the airport with moderate traffic. It's also right next to the light rail. read more

Meh... Let me first start by saying do your research. This hotel is not downtown, but north of the downtown Phoenix area. Yes, a short drive, but definitely not in the hub of all of the downtown fun. Upon arrival, we had the most pleasant check in experience. Our room was not ready when we arrived, but they were able to find us one. We did have to pay the $25 early check in, but that was fine since we arrived around 10am and regular check in time is 3pm. When we got to our room, it was ok. It was mostly clean, bathroom, linens, etc., however this hotel needs an update. The furniture in our room was chipped, carpet was clean, but worn in some areas, and housekeeping definitely does not dust the baseboards. Also only one itty bitty trash can in the room. Also, no fault to the hotel, but the shape of the room is weird. Almost like an off center rectangular shape. The lobby of the hotel is nice though. Parking is $28/day. Not sure if I will stay at this hotel again, as it was too far away from our needs. I failed to do my research though. As I mentioned above, it's not downtown. The room had a weird smell but sprayed some lysol, the only thing that I was impressed is that the shower water at night had plenty pressure, bit one time I had to shower in the morning and there was not enough pressure. read more

This is a decent embassy, but does need a little extra care in the rooms as there is some damage to the walls and stuff that makes it look rundown. BUT- the rooms are spacious, the beds are insanely comfortable and breakfast is pretty good. I wish they'd waive parking costs, but overall, it's a pretty good value for what it is. 8 It is pet friendly which is huge for us, and if you kennel your dog, it's fine to leave them in the room while you do things that grown ups need to do (like race track stuff). Drinks were surprisingly well priced at the bar, even if you miss the free reception. It's a place I will come back to, because having those beds when you leave a long day at a race track is fantastic. Seriously. Fantastic. read more

I stayed at this hotel while I attended a conference in downtown Phoenix. When I checked in, all of the staff were super nice and accommodating. But the room fell a little short for me. Upon walking in, I did my cleaning routine with Clorox wipes and Lysol. That's when I noticed the long black hair on top of the bed. I decided to move to the bathroom and wipe down. I noticed the floor of the shower appeared dirty. There was also long black hair on the bottom of the door in the bathroom. Weird. I decided to lay on the couch with the blanket while I waited for someone to come and freshen up the room and change the sheets. To my surprise, the blanket had long black hair on it. Wow. Whoever stayed in 402 before I got there did a number on it with their hair. I called 3 times to get the sheets changed. I can't fault them for how long it took to rectify the issue, I understand everyone is short staffed. Other than that, the morning breakfast was nice (eggs, potatoes, omelet station, french toast, cereal, toast). The evening reception was nice and the tv's in the bar area were large and ample for viewing different sports events. I didn't use the swimming pool or gym but the pool area looked clean. This wouldn't be a go to hotel if I come back to Phoenix, but I would consider it as an option. read more

It is prob one of the best hotels ive stayed at. We got a suite and it was spacious. The design of the hotel is beautiful architecturally. We were also allowed to bring our pets. It was during covid times so the breakfast buffet was sad but I attribute that out of their hands but at least they still provided items and a chef made omelettes to order. I booked a king bed studio. The pictures on their website are not accurate. And the pictures on the website, it does not show a door that swings in and you have no way to reach the sink unless you shut the door. The bathroom is unsafe. There is maybe a quarter of an inch clearance between the door and the toilet to open and shut. My foot got caught between the toilet and the door and I fell backwards and was injured. You cannot use the sink unless you walk in reach over close the door and then walk to the sink. I've never seen a bathroom like this and I wonder if it's really up to code. I filled out an incident report and I did not hear anything nor have I received a copy of it. I was injured within 30 minutes of staying in the room. I spoke with the manager this morning and shared with him the pictures of my bruises, and he did not realize the extent my injuries until I shared the pictures. Currently, he is speaking with upper management to see if they can make any price accommodations. This is the worst Embassy Suites out of the locations I've been to, but it's still ok. First of all, the afternoon snacks are not good compared to other locations. There was no candy or anything sweet. The pool was terrible. The front desk claims that it is a heated pool, but it was freezing cold. There were also no towels left. The breakfast was great! Stayed here while at an event downtown and was definitely an enjoyable stay. Starting upon arrival to the hotel we were greeted by the front desk who did everything to make sure we were in a room we requested and very helpful as well. Since we arrived about 5:30 we were just in time for the evening reception which included lots of different alcoholic drinks for free as well as non alcoholic. They also provided snacks like chips & salsa , guacamole, veggies and dips , pretzels and snack mix. After enjoying that headed up to the room which all the elevators are glass so a nice view of the hotel . As for the rooms they were very spacious with a separate living space from bedroom and extra TVs , this room also had a nice view as well . And as of course with all embassy suites complimentary buffet breakfast in the morning which was really good and had all the choices to expect from a good Buffett. read more

I highly recommend the Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North. We stayed one night in Phoenix for a ballgame and it was about an 11 minute drive away to Chase Field. The room was impeccable, it came with a strong shower and comfortable bed. They placed us in a corner room, which was very private and quiet. Humberto at the front desk was incredibly hospitable and got us situated with parking right away. After this stay, I am convinced I need to start using my Hilton Honors membership more! read more
