The Friday Special steak and lobster is the must try. Unbeatable value and the food is delicious

Food portion was big. We ordered hamburger medium rare and the patty was so charred, dry, hard, and overcooked. The shrimp popcorn was so crunchy because it was overcooked too. We ordered a steam medium rare and just like the hamburger patty it was so charred, dry, hard, and overcooked. The chicken parmesan we ordered, the chicken was not dry but the spaghetti was very salty. We think they the added the salted pasta water on there then added more parmesan cheese. Our server was a young guy who only came to get our orders and when we told him we were not ready, he didn't come back to get our orders until 20 to 30 minutes later. He also served us our food and didnt check how was the food or if we need anything else. We asked for some ketchup from the person who gets the orders for drinks and he was nice. We didnt get him though until 15 minutes later after we got our food and my daughter was almost finished with her fries then. The 1 star is for the drink server and for the good fries. I do not think this place is very attentive, I waited way to long for creamer and refill on drinks. On the appetizer combo disappointed there were only 2 wings and 2 cheese sticks. This trip to Las Vegas was to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. He likes the little casinos; he says it gives him the old Vegas feel. So we're staying in Vegas on the strip, why the hell are we driving out to Henderson to come to place like this? Well now I get to say "I get it". This is definitely a locals place. Everyone knows everyone. I started to talking to the couple next to me at the bar and they were super friendly and through them I get to meet a lot of people. I had gone to another casino 10 to 15 minutes away that had the same type of local feel but they were not as friendly as the workers here at Emerald Island. After signing up for their card, Giuseppe walks up to me at the bar at the machine I was playing on and gives me [and the family] a voucher for a meal. We had not planned on eating here but came back on our trip home. Again, same friendly attitude from the waitress to the cocktail bar. BTW, make sure you get one of their Bloody Mary's are off the chart! Our free meal included a burger or skillet breakfast. Everyone else got the burger which turns out is a double burger but I chose the skillet and it was a damn good choice. I must say we promised to come back on our next trip because as we looked around, so many of the other meals look delicious. The guy next to me eating the nachos ate, took a container home and still left some on his plate. It was a nacho's platter. The first day I was there was also pizza day which is free. The gal next to me mentioned that Thursday's is Chili Dog night and said it was really good. She also won a chance at a raffle while we were talking and won $50. Me and my husband visited the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. They said the wait would be about 45 minutes. That's fine, we'll play some penny slots while we wait. The whole Place was busy! I don't know how long it was before our name was called but it seemed like leas than 45 minutes. We ordered the appetizer combo - delicious and hot! Lots and lots of popcorn shrimp with cocktail sauce and lemon wedges. The chicken wings were good - the hot sauce for them was okay and mild. The potato skins were fine (we opted to put a lil ranch on them instead of the sour cream). The moz cheese stick was good. Two giant onion rings - very good coating on them. Also came with a side of salsa. A great deal for $12! Ordered a cobb salad and he ordered a taco salad. The cobb was huge! Had everything I expect on a cobb and on a bed of field greens. Hubby liked the taco salad. The service was good, drinks refilled, extra hot sauce brought to our table. We enjoyed our late lunch there and will be returning! read more

If they had negative stars this would be a first for me. We do not expect much but waiting for over 15 mins for our server to acknowledge us is unacceptable. Please do not give the excuse it was busy or short staff. Maybe you could actually serve tables rather than talk with your friends. Food was ok. I have eaten in dives and cafes before. Emerald Island Grill is no exception. Located in a dive casino in the heart of Henderson, Emerald Island Grill is the "coffeeshop" as they used to say inside the casino. It's certainly not much to look at, but the service was personable and fairly quick. The special this particular night was the full rack of ribs. I always get my ribs dry as to not hide the fact of whether they are any good. You might as well throw away the the knife at the table as the meat will literally rake right off the bone! The meat is so incredibly tender, with a light smoky flavor, which together combines for what I'd consider some of the best ribs I've ever had for sure! The fries I requested to be fried a little crispy, and they came out exactly that way which was really impressive due to many times that doesn't seem to happen. I noticed a lot of "Emerald Island Grill" reviews were just lumped into the Emerald Island Casino business, so I decided to separate it out since the restaurant is different from the actual gaming area. This restaurant is pretty good. Their regular menu is the standard fare but they have a lot of rotating specials, so be sure to check the board before you sit down. They have rotating theme nights each night and have a lot of special food events too (Mother's Day, Easter brunch, etc.) Sometimes there is a wait, so be prepared, although they are pretty good at letting you know how long it is. They're open 24 hours too, which is nice, although not all the food is served at that time, so check the menu so you know what you can order. Breakfast starts at 11PM and goes until 3 PM which is a nice touch for you super night owls or really late risers. If you come to the casino at all, they frequently send out "meal vouchers" for free specific meals. Some of the meals are more exciting than others, but you can't argue with free. So it's worth playing a little bit here to get some comps. However, the meal prices aren't outrageous on their own. Plus, on Thursdays if you earned 100 points the week before, you get half of any entree. If you want value, you should check out their full rack of ribs. My husband and I split that one time AND we still have leftovers for the two of us for another day. read more

If I could give a negative 10 stars.... So 2 minutes after midnight , after we spend a little at the bar slots machines and had some fun in the place on our expense, of course, we decide to have something to eat at the " famous " grill... We've been here inthe past , and it was all good, so why go somewhere else while the food was right in the casino and the place was literally empty, except another couple on the opposite side of the room. Well, I ordered my Corona beer, that came in 2 minutes, and myspouse had a cofee in another few minutes. We placed the orderes, egg, suny side up and a Cuban sandwich, where they informed us that they run out of pulled pork so they will substitute with some hamm. No problem for us, we wanted to leave the casino with some food in our belly... 45 minutes later we are still waiting for the the food... ( empty restaurant). I'm attempting to get some attention, but we are totally ignored. I'm sending and reach out to ask for manager. Of course , few minutes pass by and no one is there. I'm told by our server that I am not allowed to stand at the hosting table waiting for a manager and she instructed me, very mean and upset about my request to go back to our booth. My beer was paid to the floor hostes, for the coffee we left 3$on the table, and we left. This experience prompted us to avoid this casino all together since then in August 2022. read more

Service was great! However I went here with 3 friends and we each ordered the $5 eggs bacon hash browns and toast combo. We all 4 got food poisoning. This was the only meal the 4 of us shared together, so there's no doubt it happened here. Also whoever approved the restaurant having a 2ft wide opening to go in and out of is going to get someone killed. The service was excellent. The 3 ladies that were with me really enjoyed their meals especially their wedge salads. How ever I found my liver & onions much to be desired. The liver was over cooked and tasteless. The onions were under cooked and tasteless. The gravy was very salty(and I love salt) & not even room temperature. Also we hurried through our meal, because the ladies were freezing. They had the A/C blasting (which I loved) the ladies not too much. I have always had good experiences here. Good food, good service, and decent portions/prices. If you gamble even a little bit they will give $15 credit to your meal if you join the player's card. Any points earned can be spent on your food bill too. Some of the best: Full rack of ribs (it's enough for 3 people!), and any steak on steakhouse Saturday (the standard menu steak is just average). There are specials every day if you get tired of the regular menu. My only complaint is that the menu prices have been going up with inflation, but the $15 credit they give you has never changed. So it buys a lot less. 10 years ago $15 was a great value and covered all but the most expensive meal. Now it will not cover your entrée and a drink. read more

Only had fork to eat Cioppino soup with as all spoons "were in dishwasher." They offered a soup ladle instead and eventually brought a spoon after asking 3 servers. Seated in adjacent dining room next to two booths of 10 filled with many loud children. Immediately asked to be reseated in the main dining area that didn't have large party accommodations and they refused. Entire dinner $60 ruined by screaming children jumping up and down in their booths with accompanying adults nor restaurants management doing anything to settle them. "Thanked" the hosts when paying because they could have easily changed our seating when I asked where additional seating was clearly available. Have been a patron of this casino & cafe for many years, and at one time the cafe was great. For the past year or more it has really gone downhill. Wait times for a table or booth are very long. The mass congestion at the cash register is terrible. (People trying to get in, people waiting to pay, people ordering food to go, people picking up to go food). It was nice going to the grill late at night and having a full dinner of steak, pork chops, salad, and potato, a full dinner. Or a breakfast of steak and eggs at midnight. Well, tonight they did not have the full menu only about eight items on a late-night menu. Nothing appealed to me, but I figured I'd get a double burger with fries, with no Thousand Island dressing and no cheese. The order came with no cheese but Thousand Island dressing on the burger. I sent it back and got another hamburger with Thousand Island dressing and no grilled onions. I told the waitress to charge me for the iced tea and I would go someplace better, where they at least get orders right. She did not charge me for the tea and I left.
