I'd previously taken my dog here and was very well taken care of by Dr. Fang. The follow-up calls were on point and very helpful the first time around. Unfortunately, I had to take my dog back just a couple of weeks ago and the after care that I received was awful. I took my nearly 16 year old dog in here at around 10 PM on a Sunday night because he was having weird convulsion/spasms. I paid about $900 for tests that did nothing to help figure out why my dog was having odd convulsions to the point of exhaustion and wasn't able to bring him home until about 2 AM because he wasn't a high priority. They did catheters, ultrasounds, xrays, urinalysis' and a culture. The tests all came back negative, except the culture (which I've yet to get a result for). I brought him home, horrified, thinking I'd need to euthanize my dog because he wouldn't stop the convulsions/spasms and I didn't want him to suffer. Two days later, he's fine and giving my checking account the middle finger. I couldn't be happier. It's now two weeks after the incident and after half a dozen emails, I'm still waiting on a call from the doctor to discuss the remaining test results. I call in and get put on hold, I email and get standard "We will call you soon" responses, it's becoming more and more difficult to get a response. They're just flat out ignored my last email. I don't know how much more money I need to spend in order to get a result call from them but this isn't right. I can't be expected to chase them down like this to get a response. Update 9/26: Been almost a month, they won't return my phone calls and they flat out ignore my emails. There's no way to get through to this clinic regarding my dog's culture results except physically going in. Considering they won't even allow people into the clinic (covid), I'm not sure how I'm going to do this but I'll be damned if they take my money to run tests that they won't even disclose the results of and think it's completely fine to snub me. I still don't know what happened to my dog. I've run every single test except taking him to get an MRI and I just want to know if something came back in his culture that would help provide some information. You should only come here if it's your absolute last resort. I took my kitty in on June 20th for bladder crystals. They provided care and I was only charged $1200. Some staff here have real attitude problems and are the furthest thing from professional. Well, the bladder issues never got better. I took my cat back again yesterday and after explaining I was here about 2 weeks ago and my cat never got better I was told I'd have to pay another $150 for the exam because I wasn't within the "re-check parameters" (something that was never even explained to me my first visit) After waiting an hour the 7pm night shift doctor to get in we were sat in a room with the most unprofessional veterinarian imaginable. He spent the entire time tip toeing and leaning in the corner of the room while telling us 4 treatment options that wouldn't work while trying to pressure us into an extremely expensive $7000 surgery. (Which he said may not resolve the issue in the first place????) He recommended sedation and sending my cat home with pain meds and an anti-inflammatory despite just mentioning that my cat's bladder was blocked. Then he recommended a catheter that, "might have you guys back in two weeks". He then began to said that he's "put down plenty of cats the same age as mine" and continued to hammer home that there is no guarantee any treatment works and again that he's "put down plenty of cats in similar situations." I thought the vet pressuring me into killing my cat was the worst of it, then they brought out the bill for the catheter. The low end would be $2950 - $3900. I immediately asked for my cat back and took him to Grand Terrace Animal Emergency Clinic. Not only did they take my cat right away for treatment, the quoted me at $750 - $2000 for the exact same treatment recommended by your awkward, put-down-pushing vet. read more

This update is long overdue. I had to take my boy in (again) in April 2022. He was having abdominal pain and after taking him to a different emergency clinic without a diagnosis, I brought him in here. I'm happy I did. The Dr did an examination and found he had a Mesenteric Torsion-his intestines had twisted together, cutting off circulation and no longer functioning. They moved to surgery quickly, removing nearly 30% of his intestines and reattaching what was remaining to his stomach. The outlook was bleak. Survival from this surgery rare. Survival post surgery even more bleak. The Dr was direct, realistic, but detailed in his post operative instructions. My boy beat all odds against him and is a happy, lively, and silly boy again. I changed the 1 star to 2 because the owner did make an attempt to make things right (unfortunately it's really impossible to do that given the nature of the issue at hand) . ORIGINAL REVIEW: " I had so many great things I was going to say about this place including the thoughtful hand written and signed sympathy card for my dog , Blackjack who wasbrought to them in the middle of the night after he'd passed away in our home.. The woman I spoke to on the phone was so kind and compassionate and they really seemed to care which seems in contrast to some other reviews here. I did not experience that . They were very attentive and showed my boy dignity as they dealt with him. Id thought they were wonderful at first .. But that was until I realized I had been deceived at a time of unbearable grief from having just lost a pet .. BEWARE of what your are sold in the event you utilize their contracted services for pet cremation. They TELL you that your pet is getting a "PRIVATE" cremation. (If that's what you've chosen of course ). It's also on your paperwork as "private" . This is FALSE and an outright lie. What they've sold you is an "INDIVIDUAL" cremation but are calling it private instead. Neither these 2 terms nor the services attached to them are interchangeable. If you aren't familiar, PLEASE educate yourself with what exactly these 2 types of cremation mean. I SPECIFICALLY asked in advance if my dog would be getting a private cremation and they assured me he would be and the paperwork I assigned matches this . I don't know how much the timely reply was influenced by this review or not but nonetheless, the timeliness did not go unnoticed. Let's get some facts and clarity straight first . What you said about terminology is false . "Circle of life" which is now west coast pet cremation as you mentioned , most definitely referred to private and individual cremations by their rightful definition. The reason I know this is because I used them for once for one of my other pets in the past . In fact, it's how I became knowledgeable of the different cremation options in the first place. So that is false . And to further expand on these 2 cremation options so as not to be vague or misleading , let's call a spade a spade. A PRIVATE cremation means there's only ONE animal in the incinerator. There is no such thing as "one compartment". There's no compartments because there's only one animal in there . INDIVIDUAL cremation is a compartmentalized incinerator where several animals (not necessarily of the same species) go into the incinerator at once and are separated by partitions that DO NOT go to the top nor are the sealed . So this statement that all of the ashes are your pets in both cremations is wrong. Very wrong. Ashes travel and billow. All you have to do is watch a fire in progress to know this . Ashes travel great distances . So the ashes you get back are your pets plus 5 others. That is the cold hard reality ! Private cremation is the ONLY assurance that what you get back is your pet and your pet only . Going back to your call to me, as I'd suspected, you informed me that it was too late and my sweet boy had already been cremated . I'm beyond devastated but What's done is done and there is nothing that can be done that's going To change that now and I I have to live with that . To be fair, I will note that you did in fact make some gestures to attempt to make things right. But as I'm sure you can understand , there really is nothing that you can do to make it right simply because of the finality and nature of things and my pet is already gone and cremated . That being said , you DID say you were going to Refund me (appreciated), you upgraded my urn (appreciated) , and most importantly , you said that you were revising the wording on your paperwork to its proper terminology. My male cat has uti. Tried to make an appointment with vets around my house but none could see him until the following week. They said to call around bc I shouldn't wait to have him seem since it could get fatal with make cats. Thank goodness this clinic could see him same day. They did warn me that it could be 6-12 hrs before they could exam him after I drop him off if he's in stable condition. I went there n waited an hour before they could check him in. U have to pay $150 for just the exam up front. Within a few hours the Dr. Owens called to recommend 2 blood tests, a urine test, IV for fluids, pain med, n antibiotic. He sounds sweet n was not rushing off the phone. The receptionist called to go over pricing another $900 which I could not afford. I opt to just take the meds $100 n keep an eye on him. They didn't give me any guilt trip or made me feel crappy which I really appreciate. Some places make u feel like a horrible person. Went to pick up my cat. Took an hour. Bc I didn't opt for other treatments they printed out a page of what they recommended I look out for n some info to guide me in caring for my pet. Very compassionate. All in all it took 6 hours total and everyone treated us well from my first call, the ladies in the front desk, the technician that came out to meet us n take Mani, call with Dr Owens, call going over prices, and picking up. we took our lab there after having a surgery and were referred from our Vet when my daughter arrived they came in with a $3100 bill with numerous tests stating that they would just need to run these to see what was wrong with her my problem with this is, she's never had a seizure before and I felt like they were just adding on fees and she's 11 years old and not giving me any solutions just the fees. My daughter brought initially and I had to come there to talk to the Vet initially he was in the surgery and couldn't talk to me so I talk to one of the ladies on the staff who recommended we put a catheter in the dog and she said that's just normal procedure. Well, my daughter works for a horse vet and that's not a normal procedure you just don't do that. I understand that if you were in the hospital, you would get a catheter if you needed medication, but we did not know what was wrong with the dog at this point so that came to explain and he compared the dog to his animals, which was relatable and he decided that he would do necessary ultrasound and a ketones test and we would not do all the rest on there so my bill ended up being $238 there after going to the Canyon Lake vet where it was $900 the next day we took our dog to Vineyard vets and that Vet did a simple glucose test figured out that the dog was diabetic and then gave us the medicine and sent us on our way all for much cheaper cost, and she was able to handle the situation very quickly. A couple days later my daughter dropped the vial of insulin for the dog and was in tears so I had to call Epic because the other Vet was not open. They wouldn't not give the dog medicine they prescribed it. They recharge me for a new vet recheck fee after we've already been there for two days two days ago and did the ketones test this was a different vet and I ended up talking to him on the phone to explain that we had already previously been there. I'm not sure that this is a standard care routine for animals these days, but I feel like they take advantage of the fact that people know that this is their beloved animal and do not have pet insurance or they will just dish out whatever these people say without really knowing what the results will be all in all I'm gonna say both vets ended up talking to me instead of my daughter and handling the situation with me because I just got directly to the point without all the unnecessary charges, but I'm going to say in the future that it's very necessary. Came here after VCA Murrieta gave me a 6-8 hour wait time to see my emergent cat, even though he was open mouth breathing. The man I spoke with on the phone was so efficient and helpful and the technician who came out to get my cat was incredibly kind to me. I was frantically trying to explain why I was here, after how the previous vet treated me, and she very calmly told me she believed me about my cat's symptoms, which was exactly what I needed to hear. The veterinarian (whose name escapes me) called me twice in the evening to update me about his status. She was kind and patient and walked me through everything they were doing for my sweet boy. I have no doubt he's in great hands. Seriously - don't go to VCA Murrieta. Come here instead. They take you seriously and they make you feel listened to. UPDATE: My sweet boy is improving and gets to come home tomorrow. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff was so compassionate and kept me updated not only about the costs (which, yeah, are insanely expensive, but all emergency vets I've been to are), but also about his progress. Very disappointed in the staff at the front desk. I denied them charging me $1,200 to $1,400 prior to any services . They already had my dog in the back room and they opened the door and they literally yelled to the techs in the back loudly ! He "Denied it" . I Simply asked them to take a look at him at him for the $150 fee and let me know what they recommend he would need . After sitting there for 30 mins I finally asked how my dog was and they said he's on oxygen .. The doctor than came out and they did not recommend any more services . ( I never denied services I denied be charged first) They were not interested in helping , apparently only interested in charging my card , Their comment was my dog was in poor health . Was excited at first because my regular vet couldn't fit us in and the 1st suggested VCA emergency clinic said it would be a 6-8 hour wait. I came here and they took my dog in in about 20 min. Then ... my bubble burst as it took over an hour for the vet to contact me to go over what she wanted to do. Then said her "girls" would call me with details ie: quote". That took another hour and paperwork on line as well as pre payment (3 tries to complete the transaction. Two hours after that I called in to check status and got "they're still doing x-rays and blood". Really?? I'm in healthcare and know it takes 15-20 min max for these. Needless to say, there's poor communication and no one mentioned I could wait at home so I've been sitting in the parking lot in 103 degree weather for 6 hours now. I highly recommend everything and everyone here, and have been taking my furkids to this hospital for20 years or more!. Two nights in a row, two separate furkids, two separate Doctors and Three separate sets of staff. You " ALL" are amazing, kind, considerate, you do what you can to make us as parents feel better about our kids that are in your care. I for one have been going to this hospital for at least 20 years. Sometimes they can't see us because they are literally at capacity due to a covid restrictions. BUT THEY TRY THEIR HARDEST IF IT IS A LIFE AND DEATH EMERGECY! THEY SAVED MY GIRL "REXXIE" last night! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR BEING SO GOOD TO MY BABY GIRL. If it weren't for people like all of you putting in these hours, I would not have my girl this morning. We love you guys and Thank You are all amazing! I, like many others read emergency vets' reviews with great trepidation as symptoms popped up wondering if I take my pet to the wrong ER right now will that make the difference on if they die today or not? My advice is try and read past the reviews that didn't even get their dog seen here - we experienced an emergency just a week prior where every single local ER vet - Murrieta, Temecula (including here), Corona, Riverside, etc were ALL referring to each other desperately because their vets were in surgery or at capacity, but still telling me before his windpipe closed I need to find an emergency vet. We got told a 6-8 hour wait time and yes, that is maddening/frustrating/perplexing but reality sank in when we got the same answer from all of them. We ended up having to drive to OC because that's how impacted the local vets were. Fast forward to this week, and we were unfortunately facing crisis with another of our dogs - my heart and soul dog collapsed suddenly after acting completely normal. No precursor signs. Suddenly pale, cold gums, heavy breathing, collapsing - I was scared we'd get the same response availability wise but this clinic was able to take our sweet girl at this time. We rushed over, filled intake online on the way, called on arrival and they came out immediately with a gurney to wheel our girl in. We got a call within 10 minutes that they had placed her on oxygen and needed to begin a blood transfusion. It ended up being a splenic mass, to which they have to go in and remove it (there's no time to wait for a biopsy or whatever at this point). We asked the vet to continue and to do what was needed to save our girl's life. They were kind enough to let us say goodbye before, just in case as the prognosis was poor. Dr. Kim De La Peza is the most kind, compassionate, incredible vet we have ever had. She kept us informed at every turning point, even calling twice after she was supposed to be off/the overnight Dr was on, to let us know how she was doing before she left. There was never a moment that we felt our dog wasn't in good hands and being loved. When we were able to come visit, our sweet girl just had major surgery but was being taken on all the walks she wanted, and was giving Dr. De La Peza kisses when she came in to talk to us. If you need a vet who will give their all to save your dog's life, bring them here. Thank you for saving Daisy's life...no matter how much time we have left with her, we will be forever grateful. Our girl (who is still there as I write this) has been critical the entire time so we have had a lot of communication with this office - every staff we encountered over the last few days has been kind to us. The vet techs are loving on our girl. We even got a 1am text photo update just so we could try to get some sleep the first night knowing she was in their care. Yes, emergency vets are expensive. It'll hit you extra hard if you've never taken your pet to one before. The financial manager Gillian (sp?) was up front and honest with us. The vet made it a conversation with us on what she was doing and what the plan was going forward, she was even mindful enough to know we were deep in $$ and would try to save where she could realistically (I.e. Maybe we can save a few hundred bucks on sending for xray results if she's already at this point). Cancer sucks, hemangiosarcoma sucks and I hope you guys never have to experience this but if it ever happened again, we'd be back here. read more

My first experience here was definitely a five star experience from the staff and clinic itself (aside from why I was there) hard to think of a great experience at an emergency pet clinic but they sent a card as a sorry for our loss of our puppy, and didn't charge us anything since the puppy had died. This place made the loss of our two week old puppy a lot easier as they guided us through what our options were and everything! My fiancé and I really appreciate the dedication to their customers! The second visit definitely took a while but I totally understood cause it did not seem critical and actually took X-rays to find out anything was wrong but I'd still count it as a five star experience because of how quickly they came out to check my girl and let me know it was not something that was going to kill her (bloat I believe was something concerning). My third experience is why we are down to 4 stars... if it could be 4.5 I would because one lady did come help me but it was about 3 hours before I could ask someone to just check to see if it could wait until Monday (two days) to be checked by my vet cause it had turned dark purple over night and I thought it could have been something bad... but the 3 hours was a little frustrating because they determined it was non critical just based off of what I said but when she checked it said it could be serious and I shouldn't wait but wouldn't be able to be seen here until the next day... if I had known that for the last three hours I would have looked elsewhere. These guys are amazing. I'm not going to lie, I was definitely a momma bear. Very scared, frustrated and not as nice as I could've been. I've had a horrible year of health scares (both my dogs nearly dying from Leptospirosis and one dog dying from acute cancer suddenly late last year) so to say I'm a bit trigger happy is an understatement. They handled myself and my dogs with the utmost professionalism and care. They were patient and Dr. Simon was thorough, calm and level headed. I can appreciate that I was irritating and no one made me feel like I was and were able to handle the situation with care and ease. I feel some information could have been delivered a bit better and clearer but otherwise, they were effective, not over priced, fair and in a rare sighting NOT TRYING TO SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF ME SO I'D SO SPEND MORE MONEY! This clinic OVERCHARGES and has the WORST service I have ever seen in my entire life!!! We waited over 2 hours to checkout our pet, even after we called a head and confirmed when the Vet on duty would be out of surgery so we could get discharge papers. We paid $2500 upfront on checkin to have them watch and monitor our pet who had already had surgery at another clinic that was not 24 hours but insisted a Vet monitor him due to a catheter and IV for 2 days so they had us transfer him to them. A little over an hour waiting to checkout our pet when they initially stated it would only be a few minutes I called the front desk, they put me on hold and then roughly 10 mins later picked up the phone and with NO apologies said "I forgot about you, let me put you on one more brief hold to inquire about you pet." And as you can imagine there was nothing brief about the next call either. At the end they told me I was due a refund and they wanted my credit card again to process the refund. To this day I have not received the refund. I called them and they said they see the transaction and I asked for a credit card receipt or proof they processed it and they said they could not due that. I called my credit card company and they said no transaction went through so I sent copies of my paper work to the credit card company and am still trying to pursue my refund through the credit card company. Very bad service, overcharged, and lie about refunding any overpayment you may be charged upfront. Avoid them if you can... read more

We took our dog here after a fight left her pretty banged up.   For the low low price of $1700 ($122 of that for boarding... I'll get into that) they sent my dog home with a stitched up ear and neck and an e-collar that was unusable ($21) because of the placement of her wounds. I was given instructions to check for any abnormal bleeding or discharge. Not sure how I was supposed to check for this. She was covered in blood and discharge when I took her in. I was also told to bring her back if there were any issues (for example, a loose stitch or staple.) They called me at 11pm to tell me she was done.  I said I'd come right away to pick her up.   They said, "You can,  but it's late.  We are happy to keep her until morning." AND they charged me $122. They didn't even clean her up.  She came home bloody and gross.  Three days later I returned to have a drain removed.  The tech told me that the vet said not to bother with the collar and he didn't know why they even gave me one.  "But hey,  you have one for the next incident!" Two days before her suture removal,  we noticed a few of her stitches in her ear had come loose.  (She was wearing the collar.  ) They wanted to charge us ANOTHER $2000 to repair it.  Needless to say,  after matter-of-factly telling them we were not paying the $95 they wanted to charge for the 5 minutes they spent assessing her, we took our dog home and took her to see a private vet.  $322.00 later,  she's all fixed up and all cleaned up! Never again! When they tell you to bring your dog back if there are any complications,  know its going to cost you! Note: Don't insult this review by claiming our dog was never in your clinic. Took my baby in yesterday because she's been really weak and hasn't been eating. I was really concerned and had her checked out. They took a parvo test and it came back negative. I told them about all her symptoms and they said that there was a lot of blood in her stool. They recommended to take her home and monitor her and if she didn't eat for a total of 3 days then to be concerned. There was no concern about the condition she was in nor where they alarmed and concerned about the blood in her stool. She passed away this morning. I do not recommended this clinic at all. I wish they showed more concern in which we could've helped her or knew what caused her to pass. read more

DO NOT bring your pet here! We bought out ill dog into emergency. Dog was extremely ill, appeared to be seizing/nausea/frothing at mouth. Front office staff (only thing good about this place) immediately took back without doing intake etc. (they sensed the urgency in getting our dog seen) Within 10 minutes the Vet technician came to the front stating that the Veterinarian has ordered xrays, complete lab work, and antinausea medication (cerenia injection). Several hours later we received a phone call from Dr. Saaiman letting us know that our dog was ready to be picked up. He stated everything was normal and there were no findings. Concerned and questioned his assessment we asked if our dog clinically looked the same way as when we dropped them off. He stated, 'upon assessment your dog did not look ill". Again, questioning his clinical assessment some more. We come to find out that our dog was given Cerenia injection (medications) without him ordering/or authorizing the medication. Additionally Dr. Saaiman admitted to never assessing our dog prior to ordering Labs/Xrays or ordering medications for our dog. He was unaware the medications were given which explains why symptoms were absent during time of assessment. Ofcourse it is to no surprise our dog looked better during time of assessment. He received unauthorized medications that were prescribed by the vet tech. Vet was extremely rude on the phone and told me my dog was ready to be picked up and then hung up. With in 5 minutes later, i received a call from the finainical coordinator asking if we would like to give our dog some SQ fluids. Completely baffled, we thought this was some joke....they called to tell us our dog was fine, nothing wrong, clinically looked fine, but then did a 1000.00 + workup, then called to discharge him home, to then back track and order another couple hundred dollars of fluids. When questioning the Vet and his clinical assessment he admitted to never assessing our dog prior ordering a +1000.00 dollar workup and rushed imaging as STAT for a dog in his mind that looked perfectly normal on presentation. His only excuse was that he was very busy and he apologized for not assessing our dog prior. He continued to back pedal and try to create some service recovery as he realized that my husband and myself were not completely dumb to scope of practice and malpractice as we are both in healthcare ourselves. My concern is malpractice by tech in prescribing medications but also concerned that the Provider/Vet ordering procedures prior to assessing patients. When escalating things to Alice (assistant GM) she reviewed phone records and did mention she would talk to her provider on his phone etiquette. After talking at length with her...it is obvious they don't care about customer service and it is all about how they can drive up the biggest bill for their patients. Please be careful of the way they practice medicine. The management supports this behavior and sees nothing wrong with it. read more

My dog has been suffering severe seizures and I needed somewhere to go ASAP, I was happy they were able to get him in immediately. What disappoints me is the lack of compassion. Nobody was very sweet to us when it was such a traumatic and sad time for my family. The doctor never called and updated us, we had to call back 3 hours later to check in and again 4 hours later. When we did talk to the vet she didn't help much, I felt just as confused and hopeless when I got off the phone as I did before. I ended up having to take him to a different hospital the next day. I do recommend this vet if you need something like wound care, but not something a little more serious. read more

I write my review knowing this company responds to discredit the pet owner. My dog was vomiting and couldn't even keep down water. The next day when he refused food, my husband gave him a Pepto Bismol tablet. He seemed really weak, so I called ahead and brought him in at 9:30am. I explained he was given a tablet but was not on any medication. I paid the $140 exam fee. At 11:30 I called, and he had not yet been seen yet. At 1pm I was called and told he needed an x-ray which was fine, but that it would be $260 and an added $275 for a consult. She double checked to see as some doctors can read them without consult but not in my case. At 3:30pm I was called and told a small circular metal object probably a watch battery that could leak was seen on the x-ray, that we had 3 options. He recommended an endoscopy for $3,000 that he could fit in that day, as surgery would cost much more. Broken hearted and feeling like a failure of a parent I explained we couldn't do that in this economy. The third option was inducing vomiting for $311. I sadly had no other option but to force him to puke again. After my husband got the added price voicemail, he called to tell me the Pepto was small circular and flat shaped (who has watch batteries lying around). I called immediately to inform them. The doctor was told but said it would have digested so we should move forward, so I said ok. About 40 minutes later my husband's coworker told me to google Pepto Bismol and x-ray. The first thing you see is that it is often mistaken for a metal or solid object. Most vets know this, therefore ask if a dog was given any. I sat there crying hating myself because I could not afford surgery, and now I had forced ipecac on my pup. Not once did the vet say that there was even a possibility it was the mineral tablet. I called to stop them but was put on hold. Leaving instantly to get him, I was told it was the Pepto tablet. I was then told Management was not there so they would do nothing about it. On 5/26/2023 Epic responded telling us that our Savannah had an exam, if that did happen Dr. Matt Owens never told us about it, because he never came back into the room to inform us of his exam, also we never did get the results of Epic viewing us on their camera of course not because if anyone witnessed what happened in that room, I'm sure Dr. Owens would no longer be employed. The way he treated us that night was a feeling I'll never forget, so cold and dismissive. Someone like Dr. Owens is truly burnt-out and shouldn't be working with our animals who mean everything to us. On May 20th 2023 our sweet little angel Savannah passed away. I can't stop thinking about how different that night could have been if only Dr. Owens had come back into the room and talked to us about how serious Savannahs condition could get. Just a little bedside manner could have been very helpful. Savannah was 12 1/2 yrs. old and she met the world to us. read more

PLEASE PLEASE Please do everything you can to find an alternative before going to this Clinic. We have lived in the valley for 23 years and love our Golden Retrievers. I have written 105 total Yelp reviews for businesses of all kind and 101 of them are 5 stars. I don't believe in negative reviews but I feel the need to let pet owners know what they are getting into. Surgeries that they quote here for $7000 can be done elsewhere for $2500. After paying $4400 for 2 sets of xrays for 2 dogs, I still can't get a doctor to return my call. Their customer service is also terrible. Maybe it is just our family but unless a total life and death situation, I would be very hesitant. read more

What a wonderful bunch of people work here. After almost 13 years and recent cancer diagnosis, my beloved Golden Retriever let me know it was time. We came here and the staff could not have been more helpful, caring and sensitive. She couldn't walk, so they came out with a gurnee and brought her in. They took her to the back to get an IV going, and gave her lots of love and even some treats. They brought my husband and I into a private room, outfitted with a small sofa and chairs, with low lighting, and then they brought my sweet girl in on the gurnee. We were told to take as much time as we needed, and that when we were ready for the Doctor, to flip a light switch. When the Doctor came in, there was still no rush. We talked about our girl's condition and how wonderful she was. She was in pain and distress, so we had the Doctor proceed with the Euthanasia. I held her head, kissing her and telling her what a good girl she is, even though she's been deaf for the past couple of years. She relaxed, and peacefully passed. The Doctor had tears in her eyes, as did I. She was so very kind and sensitive and I will always be so thankful for her help. read more

Arrived, followed directions to call for someone to come triage pet. 40 minutes later no one had ever come. Instead could see through windows 4/5 people organizing furniture, discussing blinds etc. Common courtesy would have been to at least personally acknowledge a pet parent's concern with five minutes to the car waiting area. I will never return. Thankfully we found a responsive "emergency" clinic that greeted us within minutes and took great care of our pet. ****also pretty shady characters at night in parking area. read more

My cat Cecil had gotten sick, and progressively gotten worse over a day's time. I took him here hoping for the best but knowing well he may not make it with his age and medical history. The doctor gave me honest prognosis and discussed all options. The team did their best but when they started to treat him his condition worsened rapidly. I could tell that it hurt the team to see how much grief we experienced losing our sweet kitty. They let us have as much time as we needed and we're very respectful as we said our goodbyes to him and sat with him. We really appreciated this caring team. read more

I rescued a little 7 lb Maltese/ shitzu mix about a year ago. Appears to have been used for breeding purposes because she has tumors on her teats . I had her seen by a vet and X-rayed when I rescued her , I was told her tumor is external not connected internally. Very relieved. My issue for taking Lily to the animal clinic on a Saturday was she was going on 3 days and not pooping.. My negative experience started with the first contact with the phone call to get information, where are you located and what is the process/ procedure? I have no idea as to what to do. The gal was abrupt talking over me . She had a rehearsed message she most likely says a lot. I followed directions and completed forms on line. Shortly after we arrived the vet technician took Lily back and for the next 4 1/2 hours we sat. I completely understand that some dogs could come in or cats and have been seriously injured. We didn't see any of that and we visited with the other moms and dads of their fur babies and there were no critically injured animals that we came in contact with. We were told 2 hours in she was comfortable and is next up ! We listened to a very nice competent young lady share over and over , " it's a 6 to 12 hour window " over and over and over ... this is their mantra ! After 4 1/2 hours the nice gal said we could go home and they can call us . I'm wondering why we were not given the option 2 hours in..?? Ok , we leave and a mile down the road I look and see I had a phone call from the Doc . He had called 20 minutes before we left. Why didn't somebody just came out in the waiting room and the kicker is the nice lady told us she had not, Lily had not been seen yet as we were leaving. Well, of course she had been seen because the Doc verified it. Bottom line , Doc stated she's not constipated but wanted to do test/ X-ray etc leaving her over night. I'm guessing he wanted to X-ray because of tumors. We declined. My suggestion, real emergency they are ok . Not emergency wait to see your own Doc .. I'm so wordy read more

CONS + This is NOT an emergency clinic. (They will refuse even if your animal is in critical condition because they are at 'full capacity.') + False emergency pet clinic referral. (They will email you a list of emergency pet clinic. However, the other clinicals are NOT open and won't accommodate you.) We didn't even step into the clinic. I called on 5/5/21 to make sure if they were open. And the moment I said my dog's visit concern, they immediately were rude, dismissed and stated they are at full capacity. read more

This place is terrible. I brought my cat here when he got attacked by a coyote because they are able to watch him overnight. I had previously taken my cat to Butterfield animal Hospital during the day and they did x-rays ran test and told us to just take him here so that they could watch him. Got a quote over the phone that it would cost $200 for them to watch him overnight. Brought him over here and they called us back saying it's going to be about $1000 and that the person that called us over the phone is new and she should not have done that. They wanted to run all new x-rays and test even though they had everything we had just gotten from Butterfield but apparently The x-rays that were taken two hours prior were not new enough for them so they wanted to run all new tests. All they Want is to take your money and as much as They can. Will absolutely never ever go to this place again read more

My kitten Lola, swallowed a long piece of plastic and it was stuck in her throat and stomach. I called EPC and Alicia was extremely helpful. I could sense her kindness in her calming voice. She put us on a waiting list but called within the hour to come in. Dr. Kelly was Lola's doctor and she was excellent! She thoroughly explained what she was going to do and what our options were. In the end, Lola had to have surgery to remove the plastic. Dr. Kelly kept me updated in a timely fashion and I felt at ease knowing Lola was in good hands. This was a very frightening experience. I want to thank the staff for being so kind and professional and for saving Lola's life. I am so lucky to have fallen into the right hands. read more
