Was seeking comfort food near my work. Stopped here and ordered the meat loaf. Starter chicken rice soup was rich. It saved me. The main course meatloaf had a very odd taste and appearance was poor. Could not eat it. Mashed potatoes were salty. Veggies were acceptable but a little mushy/overcooked. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. Odd internal decor with dramatic art against an over-lit square cafe Service was kind and friendly. This was a one-and-done for me. Can't recommend. Came in for brunch on a Sunday. It was busy but we found a table right away. SERVICE: 4 STARS the staff was nice. All men. Nothing wrong with that. The guy that room our drink order for sure forgot the almond milk request on my iced latte :( Once we got our food no one came back to check on us. I had to flag down our waiter (I hate doing that) for garlic sauce. FOOD: 3 STARS Beef Shawarma: 3 STARS I wasn't too thrilled about it. It lacked flavor and the grilled onion pieces were huge! I added garlic paste because I thought the flavor was too bland Chicken Alfredo pasta: 4 STARS Surprisingly this was better. It had chicken and mushroom. The sauce was creamy BUT the consistency was a little too watery. Iced Latte: 3 STARS the serving was big which I liked. It was like a venti size from Starbucks. However I couldn't drink it because I think they put whole milk instead of almond which I had asked for and since it was hard to flag down our waiter I didn't bother. Love this place! I have had many breakfasts here and noticed they have an impressive lunch menu. Today I tried the Louisiana Chicken Sandwich. It by itself probably 4 stars but my experience here with their breakfast in mind certainly requires a 5 star review! The service was excellent. Recently tried their famous funnel cake french toast. It was gross. All I can taste was fried oil. This is coming from someone who loves funnel cake so I was really looking forward to trying it out. My wife tried it and agreed with me. She told me it was saturated with oil. She said it happens when you deep fry something before letting the oil reach a certain temperature. When that happens, it just soaks up all the oil. Nice! I am assuming I might have been the first customer for the morning, unfortunately. It was so bad, I couldn't finish it and it was thrown away. First of all let me just say I don't know why it took me so long to try this place out. I've lived down the street for two years and I just became a fan of this place. The owner I think or manager was such a sweet heart and provided my fiancé and I with great service. I got the chilaquiles and he got the chorizo breakfast burrito so delicious!!! I used to come here long ago, not often but we did visit from time to time. This last time, I could not believe the prices. I get it, inflation, the cost of everything is insane. However, I ordered a Thai chicken salad. It barely had any flavor. Romaine lettuce, cucumber, chicken and tortilla strips and peanuts. A super light peanut vinaigrette that I couldn't even tell if there was dressing. $16 and no flavor was a bummer. A Thai salad should have some kick, maybe cabbage, cilantro, a little acid like lime juice, vinegar...some flavor. And the crispy wonton topping, not tortilla strips:/ My mom got the Benedict which looked pretty sad. read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem in Northridge. I've come here a good amount of times and each time has been pretty good. They have a very extensive menu and try to order something different every time I go. The food is usually pretty good but there are some dishes that I probably wouldn't get again. Not that those dishes were bad or anything but they have stronger dishes in my opinion. I definitely have to say that their burgers are really really good. They have great breakfast items, sandwiches and everything too, but those burgers are top. The staff is a great group of people. They're always very friendly and attentive even when they're busy. That is always a plus and definitely know how hard it is to run a business that deals with food. Never easy but they do it well. My only complaint is that whenever I get anything that comes with fries, you don't get very many fries. I do wish you got a little more fries with the plates that come with them. Otherwise I do enjoy coming to this place with my fam and would recommend it! read more

If there was a place worth a review, this place is it. Food - Big portions. Everything costs more these days, and restaurants either raise their price, slim down the portion, or do both. Well, I'm not sure which way this place went, but it's definitely worth the price. The food is tasty. Service - They have the friendly, family-owned feel. They come by to check on you time to time. The man who took our order and served us was so kind and friendly! Our plates with huge portions and we left very full. I ordered the French morning tart which was a little pricey but totally worth the money. The puff pastry was filled with veggies like bell peppers and mushrooms, with sunny side eggs topped with Gruyère cheese. It looked super bougie and tasted delicious. What I really loved about this place was how unique and healthy the food was. A nice Mediterranean place with some Californian dishes. My wife had the Quinoa Benedict. I had the Earth Burrito, which was resells good! Only change, I would have added a vinegar based hot sauce. The servers were really nice and attentive. Great suggestions too on their menu. Definitely worth a try!! The food is good, and the service is great!! It has been hard for me to find a good breakfast place in the valley that also serves alcohol. They serve mimosas and beer which is great, and so far everything I've tried I've been very happy with!! Today when came in (it's only my third time here) I sat down and they waiter met me at the table with a menu, I said "I think I know what I want" and he replied with my exact order!! This is pretty impressive because the last time I was here was easily two months ago. It's the little things like being remembered that go a long way, they were quick to get my order out and everyone is so pleasant! I was excited to try this place but I was completely disappointed with the food. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the salsa tasted really bad. It was a spread of beans on the bottom and it tasted very sour. Guacamole was not fresh and pico de gallo was awful. I pushed my plate to the side and no one check on me to see if I liked the food. I've now eaten at Emiles 3 times once for dinner and twice for breakfast. All three times the food was outstanding. The service was fantastic and we felt welcomed with the waitress or waiter happy to be serving us. The pricing is also a very good value for the quality of food with a huge variety of food options. Quick service on a Sunday! We were trying to have brunch around 11a and our goto had an hour and a half wait..NOPE. My brother quickly called Emle's and they said they can accommodate our party of 6 in 15mins (he's a regular LOL) Everyone seems to love the breakfast here! I'm not a breakfast person, so I always get other things haha.. I saw they had many choices of pizza but I couldn't decide which one to pick, so I chose the spicy buffalo chicken wrap instead. I always love getting these at restaurants to see how spicy it is and this one was a good medium spice! Usually it's not spicy enough but I liked the slight kick. Also loved when they gave it to me and called it a burrito HAHAH yes..it's that big.. and yes.. i finished the WHOLE thing! I loved that it was basically a chicken salad in a wrap so yea I slowly finished it and enjoyed every bite! Forgot this was a Mediterranean spot so really enjoyed the cucumbers and such and it not being a basic wrap like some restaurants. Good spot! read more

Stopped by for breakfast with friends and we made the right decision! The service is so good, they literally checked up on us so frequently and were very nice! The food was very good as well! We ordered the eggs Benedict, apricot pancakes, strawberry Nutella pancakes, and the soujukh omelette. The egg dishes are phenomenal! So so tasty. The pancakes are very large so they are definitely shareable. The strawberry and Nutella one is a must but we would skip on the apricot one. The vanilla iced coffee was good too. The restaurant is very bright as well, with big windows all over the place. It was not that busy when we went in but I can imagine it getting busier later throughout the day. Will be back soon!
