I brought two adults and 8 children here for breakfast. They were kind and lovely dealing with the 8 kids ordering and all of their needs. The food was awesome. I had an omelet that I loved, we had lots of different French toast and pancakes orders and they were huge and the kids enjoyed them. They have so many different options in that category. The fruit on top of certain dishes was really fresh and delicious. It's a nice little spot with comfy booth seating along one whole wall of the restaurant. It was a very long time ago that I came to Emle's for breakfast. This time it was dinner. What I like here is that you can order from the breakfast, lunch or dinner menu all day. The menu is vast and there are a lot of selections. Point to note is the pricing. Still very reasonable. And the portions are big. On this Saturday evening, there was an in house piano organ player. It enhanced the simple ambiance of this restaurant that serves local and international dishes. I knew what I was going to order before I even got here (homework, homework). First a small house green salad (oh I luv those beets). Then the French Morning Tart (Smoked Apple-wood Bacon,Mushrooms, Bell Pepper, Tomato, Basil Aioli served on Baked Puff Pastry, Creme Fresh, Gruyere Cheese, topped with 3 sunny side up eggs). This was a unique dish, nice crispness of the pastry and lots of bacon. I really liked this one. Two other dishes for our party were the Fettuccini Alfredo (came with chicken) and the Mediterranean Kabob special (two kabobs, both beef one ground beef the other filet). The comments on these latter two items was not favorable. Both these selections came with soups, which too were not well received. It begs the question: is it possible for the kitchen to prepare every offering to the mark, every time, when there is such a wide and extensive menu? Service at Emle's was attentive and prompt. Went here for a late breakfast/early lunch with the family. Amazing customer service. Staff constantly checked in with us. Our drinks were never empty staff were on top of refills. Wow!! This spot is amazing. Came here for the first time yesterday and was pretty blown away. Every item I saw on everyone's table, when I walked in, looked incredible. We ordered the stuffed french toast, a chicken salad, and the corn-beef hash omelette. It all tasted fresh and delicious. Comfortable and clean diner. Every staff was very friendly and they had a nice menu with a huge variety. Unfortunately, gluten free options are an additional $3.99 and they weren't very good. Love this place, it's our 3rd time here. The super friendly staff came by a few times to check on us, variety of delicious food for everyone. I enjoy that they serve breakfast in the middle of the afternoon...a little something for everyone. My son really enjoyed the Louisiana Chicken Sandwich thought it was pretty tasty and the skinny French fries nice and crispy! Italian Omelette had Italian sausage, bacon, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and sharp cheddar topped with fresh salsa and had a side of potatoes (perfect seasoning) and banana bread (very moist and delicious) it was a great combination. Caprese Benedict was suppose to come with Crispy English muffin but I felt it was a little soggy or not toasted at all. But, everything else was good with fresh Buffalo mozzarella, sliced tomato, and fresh basil with their house made hollandaise sauce. This is a great breakfast spot close to CSUN. They also do lunch and dinner but I've been a fan of their breakfast since 2013. Go for the lightly fried banana bread as your side. It's so yummy! The potatoes are cooked perfectly and seasoned well and I've enjoyed the burritos and omelettes and French toast over the years. For a really interesting choice... go for the funnel cake French toast. It's an older place... it's not flashy. But it's good quality food. And you'll be satisfied. I've been here twice so far and I can't say enough good things about the food and the service. It seems like a family-owned restaurant so there aren't specific servers assigned to specific tables. You might get a different person coming to your table checking until you are ready to order, then someone else brings the food, and EVERYONE checks on you to make sure everything is good. The portions are huge and the food is delicious. If you're having breakfast, get the seasoned potatoes. Inside is pretty big and a lot of the customers speak to the family that owns it like they're family as well so that tells me they have a lot of regulars and people come back for great food. (The butter didn't melt when placed on top.) Breakfast crepe was really good. I liked the side of pico de gallo & guacamole. Buttermilk pancakes - the pancakes tasted "doughy". Probably could have been cooked a bit longer. Avocado Toast- extremely disappointing. It looked pretty appealing but but, once the egg, lettuce, and tomato were removed, there were two very tiny slices of avocado on the corner of the bread. (Two similar small slices were also on the 2nd slice of toast.) Had to add some of the guacamole from another family member's plate so that I could at least have a taste of avocado on the bread. Very deceiving. My first time here. I hope this was just a fluke. I'm willing to give them another try in the future. read more

I am a student at CSUN and today I had time since I arrived to Northridge early. I ventured out and found this gem. Oh M...G!!!! This place was so so good. Uhhhh....YUM!!!! The food had so much flavor it was well cooked and the service was superb!!!! The potatoes were seasoned just right. I accompanied the potatoes with their red salsa and it gave them a kick. The French toast was a little dry. It did not have egg but the meal came with three eggs so I wasn't missing the egg. It tasted more like a buttery, sugar toast. The sugar on it was large grain so once your tongue met those granules you were hooked. I'm not going to lie, egg or no egg it was freaking tasty. The fresh strawberries on top gave it some moist. I'm definitely coming back. Best breakfast I've had in a while. The men at the restaurant were courteous and attentive. Overall great experience!!!!! read more

They make a lot of different things here, not everything is out of the park, but most everything has been good. I particularly like the French Morning Tart, the Goat Cheese and cranberry fritter salad (adding chicken or salmon), and their homemade pizzas (the crust is great)! Discovered this place for breakfast a few years ago and now it's a family staple. It's in a strip mall so if you have anyone who has difficulty walking you can park right out front. My best friend was in town so I wanted to treat him to breakfast with my wife so I pick this place. Finding parking was easy since it's in a decent size parking. When we walked in, there wasn't alot of people inside so we able to pick where we want. We picked the booth and our waiter came to give us the menu. They have a lot of options so I had to look through it. I ended up deciding with the Breakfast Californian Burrito, my wife got their crepes and Mocha Latte and my best friend got the Chorizo Burrito. Our food came out quick within like 7 minutes and all of our dish were amazing. I like the salsa that came with my Burrito and it was very fulfilling. I ended up ordering a Huevos Rancheros. The perfect pancake does exist! So fluffy. Just sweet enough. The apples are tender yet crisp. The cinnamon isn't over powering. It's so freaking good. Even better, when you take the left overs home and eat it tomorrow..... the pancakes are STILL FLUFFY!!! read more

From the outside it looks small but once you go inside it's pretty roomy. Staff is courteous and welcoming. It's open seating unless you have a big party (more than 4 ppl). Food was delicious! Husband had the Oreo stuffed waffles, I had the huevos rancheros (has good flavor not spicy at all) and my kids spilt the Emels special which came with 1 large pancake, 3 eggs, 2 sausage patties, bacon, ham and a little cup of fruit. I discovered Emle's in 2010 & make it habit to return, at least twice a year since then. The staff is always helpful with suggestions and advice for those with dietary needs (I can't have tomato's). As a breakfast fan, I'm in love with their variety of Eggs Benedict dishes & the French toast is light as a pillow. Other places may have you wait over an hour for a table, yet Emle's rarely have you waiting longer than half an hour. Whenever family and friends are looking for a place to dine, breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, I go here. EmLe's however, has been a mainstay near CSUN that has been in business for years. Family owned, a vast menu and friendly staff. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. I've been around these parts for a long time and for some odd reason never heard of Emle's. I'm sure glad I finally did! My blushing bride and I had a really GN ice breakfast here. It was a weekday and the university is on break so it was calm and relaxing. The service is fantastic. Both gentlemen working the front were exceedingly polite and checked in on us just enough. The food, two different omelettes were well prepared and very tasty. I had a short rib omelette, which was quite unique. The potatoes were really, really good... among the best I've ever had. And the wheat toast was immediately impressive because it was perfectly toasted and perfectly buttered and perfectly crispy. Unfortunately my bide did not really like the banana bread, though. She likes banana bread but this was light on banana flavor and a bit bitter. It comes toasted, which is a bit novel. We had a very nice time and will certainly return! read more

My go to place for GF breakfast! I found this place by accident on fb they were having a revamping of their menu and I asked if they had GF options and they said they did. My husband and I came in to check it out and I'm so glad We did. They are always so fast even on a weekend morning we can always find a table at Emle's! Their prices are great. I highly recommend the Gluten free pancakes. If you are celiac remind the staff it's an allergy! They always make sure it's prepared in a espérate space. I have never had an issue with gluten here. They carry Lavazza coffee which is sooo good. My husband is a bit of a coffee snob and he loved this specific brand and not a lot of places carry it.
