We paid out $200 for an igniter for our oven that they have replaced twice and it still doesn't work. They are incompetent and don't return phone calls. They never come with the part you need - even when you tell them ahead of time - and have to schedule multiple visits, days and weeks apart. This has been going on for 2 months and I've been without an oven starting on Thanksgiving Day - it went out in the middle of cooking dinner and it has continued past Christmas. We have finally given up, decided to cut our losses and hire someone who can fix our oven. Do not call them. You will be sorry. read more

Referred to them by Cagles. Called them to fix LG ice maker dispenser and GE oven not heating. Tech came and fixed the ice maker (charged $150 labor plus part) and without opening the oven said he needs to go get a part, a fuse and will come back. He never came back. I waited and waited and I called the office 4x times over the last 4 weeks to inquire what's up, they said they need to talk to tech and will call me back each time, NOT ONE CALL BACK and finally, yesterday, I demanded a status, and finally talked to the tech and he said, I would have to call GE to find the part and now he said it is the board. I had an issue with leaking water inside fridge and also there was noise when closing the fridge. After looking in YouTube, I found out the cause was ice buildup in the evaporator. I don't know what was causing the ice to buildup though. I called an appliance repair company from yelp but they referred me to Emmanuel Appliances because the former does not repair Samsung refrigerators. Since the appointment took a week after I called to schedule, I had to open up my fridge and melted the ice in the evaporator so the noise would go away. I'm not going to deduct a star because they were busy. When he came, he immediately knew what the cause of the issue and replaced the part inside the fridge. He even went behind the frIdge and open up a panel to vacuum something inside it. He was done in 30 minutes. The cost was not bad at all. I'll definitely use them in the future. read more

I've had to call Emmanuel Appliances twice now. The first for a washer and second time for a dryer. Both times I have had excellent experiences! Starting with the very nice lady that answered my call and scheduled the appointments. She got me in asap. Then with the technician that came out, Carlos. The first time he came out he was completely honest and recommended purchasing a new washer instead of servicing it. The money invested wouldn't be worth it since it would only be a temporary fix. He also gave me some great recommendations on what brands to purchase within my budget. This last time I called for my dryer and I was lucky enough to get Carlos again. This time he actually recommended getting it serviced because new dryers aren't made to last as long as the new ones and mine still had good life in it. It still was less than having to buy a new one. He had to order the parts and got back to service it within two days because he knew not having a dryer was an inconvenience to us. Our 10+ yr old Samsung dry was making SO much noise - REALLY LOUD - almost like a rock was inside the dryer. (We used them prior to this for another repair) They were able to come out the NEXT day - between 9am and 1pm... About 11:15am, the office called and said the tech would arrive in about 20-25 minutes.. 15 minutes later Carlos showed up (masked), and got to work. We turned on the dryer and he immediately said the right rear roller was not working. He gave me a quote with parts and labor. Price was reasonable - vs purchasing a new one for $999! In about an hour or less, he replaced the roller and its shaft. Both were in really BAD shape. He put it all back together and turned it on - ahhhh...sweet silence! Don't waste your time or money. So the tech shows up spends a few minutes testing a few things and then tells me it needs a new compressor and it's not under warranty. I'm suspicious because he wasn't diagnosing it for very long and the price is ridiculous. He says it'll cost approximately $450 for the new compressor and then another $400 for the labor, about $950 total. I tell him let me think about it . I do some searching and find the factory compressor brand new on several sites for anywhere between $175-215. Now I'm confused and I'm thinking I might have misheard him. So I call the office and explain this and they just say, ok they'll install a compressor that I provide for $450. So now the labor price goes up and no mention as to why they're charging so much for the compressor. I get the labor charges, I really do because it's a long and involved process, but roughly double on the compressor?!?! Now that's not even the best part... So something isn't adding up and I'm already $75 in the hole for the "diagnosis". I'm reading forums and finding leaks are common on this Samsung or evaporator dryer issues. A lot of leaks near the evaporator dryer line. That's important because the evaporator dryer is replaced when the compressor is so replacing the compressor and oils lead you to believe that was the problem, especially if it didn't return. I'm also finding that a lot of techs are making people buy compressors with some saying that didn't fix it in the end and they were out all that money with the repair guy still holding his hand out again. Now I'm starting to feel like I'm getting ripped off. So I call Sears Home Repair and the tech comes out and diagnoses it. Noticed there weren't any quotes that time?! He says there is a leak in one of the coils and checks the serial to inform us that those are still under warranty. He replaced all 3 as a precaution and recharges the system and it didn't cost us a dime. It's cooling great so far and we didn't waste almost a $1000 on something that would not have fixed it anyhow. I will admit that he did melt part of the fan when he was soldering on the new lines but they paid for a new one. We also waited a long time for the parts to come in from Samsung but that's how a lot of things are with Covid-19 right now. read more
