Great spot for a scenic lunch & stroll around Silver Lake with our newborn. We stopped in on Wednesday at 2pm, seated right away. The hostess was super kind, offered a sling for our car seat and made extra space for us. HH menu felt smaller than I remember, but food was still good: calamari (huge + perfectly fried), green bean fries (highly recommend), and Manila clams (would skip next time). We shared a Caesar with salmon, split into 2 plates: tasty but the salmon portion was pretty small for +$15 IMO.

We stopped in on a quiet Thursday night, thinking they wouldn't be very busy... Boy were we wrong! We asked for a table outside, the wait wasn't long at all surprisingly. Shortly after being seated, Rio showed up with water and asked if we had any questions about the menu. If you haven't had dinner on "The Deck" on a beautiful Pacific Northwest evening, then you are missing out! Rio thoughtfully offered to bring us bread while we wait for the Calamari. Calamari that was done very well! Lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned. The dipping sauces were tasty too! I want to apologize in advance for not taking pictures of our entrees, but they looked sooo f'n good we just started murdering them! My Queens steak was a perfect medium rare, and my seafood fettuccine was loaded with deliciousness. We both made sure to leave some room for dessert, which was also done very well. We enjoyed the berry sorbet and the old fashioned berry shortcake. Both were absolutely amazing! Between the stunning view, the great service from Rio and the passionately prepared dishes the talented kitchen was preparing, tonight was an experience worth returning for, Thank you Emory's

Made an online reservation and waited about 7 minutes to be seated. We ordered two appetizers, soup, and a salad. The spicy buffalo cauliflower was overcooked and overly sauced, and the calamari was mostly small pieces rather than the larger rings I expected. The salad was good, though I didn't expect raw mushrooms. I had planned to order a cocktail with Empress gin from the online menu, but it was no longer available in the restaurant. The cocktail I ordered instead was a bit too sweet. I really liked the atmosphere, but the food was the part I was least satisfied with.

My first visit to Emory's left something to be desired. My boyfriend and I decided to stop in for their happy hour, which has a decently sized food and drink menu with reasonable prices. I started with a peach hard lemonade, which was sweet and tangy with an $8.50 price tag. The food, on the other hand, was just alright. Our Woodstone pizzas were tasty, but the crust was underwhelming. This is a seafood restaurant, so the pizza isn't their priority. We dined on the patio, which was pretty toasty on a 70° day. The shades were closed, so we missed out on the lake views. Overall, we had a decent visit, and enjoyed the atmosphere, but won't be rushing back.

Emory's was the choice for tonight's birthday dinner! July 14th sun shining, water still, a few people out on paddle boards, and life as we know it happening! We had an amazing dinner with not one disappointed face. We started with Calamari Fritti and Steamed Clams. The calamari was crispy, with small rings and a really good dipping sauce. The boyfriend and daughter pretty much devoured the clams--they were sitting in the most flavorful lemon-butter sauce, which they both practically wanted to drink. Drinks: Ginger ale and Jameson Berry Berry Drop (beyond delicious) Shirley Temple My daughter had the Garlic Cheese French Dip. It was her first time trying a French dip and she said it was tasty and she enjoyed it. My boyfriend ordered the Creamy Seafood Risotto. Nothing but positive things came out of his mouth with every single bite! He even had enough to take home for lunch tomorrow. I did the 3 for $33 option: Caesar Salad - easily the most delicious and flavorful Caesar I've had in a long time. Plenty of cheese and dressing. Double R Ranch Top Sirloin with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies - ordered medium well and it came out perfect. Flavorful, well-seasoned, and you could cut it like butter. The mashed potatoes were fluffy and seasoned just right. The veggie was peas not my cup of tea, but they looked fresh and my daughter liked them! Dessert: Orange Crème Brûlée. My boyfriend and daughter shared it and loved it! We'll definitely be back for more tasty food!

Food was spectacular. I had a Shrimp Louie salad. I ate everything in this fresh salad, it had eggs, avocados, tomatoes, radishes, olives, orange peppers, tons of delicious shrimp in a very tasty thousand island dressing. Great warm bread with whipped butter. Hubby had steak n shrimp with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Cooked to order and perfect. Laura our beautiful wait staff was terrific. We had for dessert the strawberry cheesecake with strawberries and crème brûlée topping. What a taste sensation!! Go! I wish we had a place like this near where we live. Then we took a walk around the lake behind the restaurant. Full of ducks and fishermen hanging around. Silver Lake is just breathtaking!

The food is acceptable, though it could benefit from additional seasoning. The view of Silver Lake is beautiful.

We sat in the lounge as it was on the tail-end of happy hour. Their $10 cocktails were a great way to start our evening. We started with their homemade Parker House rolls, which were insane. These were probably the best rolls I've ever had. The truffle butter was the icing on this bready cake. I'd come back just for these. We also had the truffle fries which were good as well. After some recommendations from our server, we decided on the associates board and the glazed carrot (we definitely felt like we needed a veggie dish). The associates board came with three cuts of steak, which included the filet, a wagyu tri-tip and a wagyu denver. The filet was the standout here, as well as the beef tallow butter it was served with. The other cuts were good, but didn't wow us. We ordered the steak medium rare, but it was more on the rare side. The steak was so tender that it really didn't matter at the end of the day. Overall, we had a great experience here. I think for the price, I was maybe expecting a little more, but I would definitely recommend checking out Rare Society for your next celebratory dinner.

This is where you get the super-nice meat and fish that supermarkets and big-box stores don't have. And their house-made fish dips are amazing. You walk in to a shelf full of solid-value wines, mostly local, aimed to pair with whatever you might take home with you to cook. The ceilings are high, and the walls and floors are all spotless white. No decorations, very little merchandising, if any. There's a long butcher case on the left full of all kinds of crazy treats. Prawns the size of bratwursts. Steaks, roasts, different fish. They skip most of the stuff that supermarkets carry and focus only on more-specialty stuff. Their stock is either a nicer version or it's something that's unavailable elsewhere. You do pay for quality like this on some of the stuff, but if you're cooking a meal you're really looking forward to, the value makes it reasonable. Not everything is expensive, either. They had fresh lemons on the case for 40% less than the supermarket up the street. They had reds, whites, bubblies, and pinks in the wine section with every bottle under $20. And those fish dips, man. I'm surprised they don't sell out by afternoon every day. We had wild salmon and black cod dips before dinner last night, and both were fantastic. They're very well balanced, so maybe you could add hot sauce or fresh herbs to taste, but we've had them several times and never felt compelled to tune them up. The dudes behind the butcher case have decades of industry experience, and they couldn't be nicer, more patient, or more helpful. I love shopping here.

My husband and I have been eating here since at least 2021 and have raved to all of our friends and family about how fantastic the cocktails and the food are here. We always bring family here for a nice dinner night when they visit from out of town, and it has been consistent since 2021 until Thursday, August 27th. We always order the same drinks, as they are our favorite. I enjoy the Limoncello Drop, and my husband always gets the Bloody Mary. I order mine with raspberry-infused vodka, and my husband gets the jalapeño-infused. His is always spicy, but flavorful. Mine is always tart and sweet. This time was different. Mine was just sweet and had a dried citrus slice floating in it, which is not how it has ever been served. My husband's Bloody Mary had a wooden stick in it and no garnish. There has never been a floating garnish in my drink, and the Bloody Mary has always come with a garnish. Sometimes it is roasted garlic, green olives, and lime. Sometimes an herb sprig and jalapeño slice; another time was garlic, jalapeño, lime, and rosemary sprig. It has never come without the care of a garnish. Additionally, his cocktail tasted terrible. It was just hot. No flavor, just hot and off-tasting. He sent it back, and later the bartender came by to apologize and said the lime juice was off and they had replaced it. He offered a new drink, which my husband declined. For dinner, we shared the Puget Sound Steamers, and for the first time the broth was bland. We usually sop up as much as we can with the bread, but it was just flavorless. I was not able to order my usual dinner selection of the Alaskan Chowder because they were out, which has never happened before, but it was not a huge deal, so I chose the Caprese Salad instead, and it was okay. My husband ordered the Rustic Mac + Cheese; we have both ordered this many times, and it has always been delicious except for this night. It tasted off too, very pasty. Almost as if the flour had not been cooked enough in the béchamel, or perhaps too much flour? It was so bland and pasty that it was sent back, too. When we spoke to the server about the mac + cheese and that it tasted like uncooked or pasty flour, she said there was no flour in it, only cheese. The menu describes the dish as a creamy béchamel, which is a flour-based sauce, so her answer surprised me. I did not press it. Sending food back is not something we enjoy doing, and we left disappointed. We were not charged for the returned items, and we appreciated that. My husband declined a replacement, so he ended up with no dinner, and we stopped somewhere else on the way home. Something was different across both the bar and the kitchen that night. I hope it was a one-off, because five years of consistency earned this place a lot of goodwill with us. At these prices, we expect more, and my husband is reluctant to go back.
