This place is so trendy that I have been avoiding it like the plague. Big crowds, small venue and valet parking really turned me off. Turns out I was wrong. The place really has great food and large portions. It is definitely modern Mexican cuisine. I used to patron the two previous taquerias that were here and I am impressed with what they have done to maximize seating. I used that valet parking which is tips only and it was fine. It is so busy they may not park you without a restaurant reservation which I had. Our waiter was fun and attentive. All in all a good experience.

    Chipotle chilaquiles

The breakfast here is absolutely delicious. Our favorite is the chilaquiles. Chipotle chilaquiles to be exact. They also have avocado chilaquiles and I also love those, but hubby prefers the chipotle. The coffee is also great. Their cafe de olla is on point, cinnamony like I like it. Their decor is very fun and vibrant, a great place for celebratory occasions. Their service was a tad bit slow, not super attentive. I mean good, friendly, but some items took long to arrive and our drinks did take a long time, but as we were not rushed, it was ok, but overall great!

Stopped in here with the wife and had a quick Sunday breakfast. She's been wanting to come here since we moved into the area. Mentioned her nephew said it was his favorite breakfast spot so we had to try! Ordered in a fresh squeeze lemon juice, a must! If available. We started off with the empanada.. very different than what you would think an empanada would taste like. First bite, it's soft and flaky, different texture. Cheese melted along with the potatoes inside so delicious! We added the pickled onion along with avocado and to be honest, we would have been good with a second order! Wife and I shared a French toast with berries on top. French toast was thick, a bit tough around the edges to cut through but very very soft in the middle. Went really well and could have been a dessert dish. We also shared chilaquiles plate and added steak.. it was cheaper than buying the steak and egg plate! Lol, it was good, very spicy and meat was very soft and tender. Needed a bit more pepper and salt in my opinion. Great spot, everything else on the menu looked good, Will def come back since we are so close! FYI parking is valet.

3/5 FYI that they only offer valet parking, there's no self-parking option. The valet is free, which is nice, but it's still something to keep in mind if that's not your preference. I ordered the dulce de leche iced latte, and it was extremely sweet. It felt more like a dessert drink than an actual coffee, and the coffee flavor was pretty weak. If you're going specifically craving a strong iced latte or coffee drink, this probably won't satisfy that. It was fun to try and I can see why it's popular, especially since our waitress recommended it and mentioned it was one of the less sweet options--but it was still way too sugary for my taste. On the bright side, the chilaquiles with steak were super delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. The portion was huge and easily shareable if you want to order family-style with one or two other people. The sauce was tasty with a slight kick, but not overwhelmingly spicy. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, just how I requested it, and tasted like good quality meat.

New York strip cheese and grilled vegetables, grilled chicken and grilled shrimp

The food was so good! We started off with the Chicharron and guacamole, and the queso with flour tortillas both were so good. And then we got the shared state plate. Where we ordered steak chicken and shrimp. With grilled vegetables, everything was very flavorful. The service was wonderful from the valet to our server and the rest of the staff. Everyone was very attentive clearing off space refilling drinks. This restaurant is super cute. It's decorated with flowers like you're outside with the clouds in the sky. It's got a really cute vibe to it. Definitely want to come back and try the brunch!

This Mexican restaurant is great. The decor is vibrant and beautifully done, creating an inviting atmosphere that instantly sets the mood. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The food is just as impressive fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. From the first bite to the last, everything was packed with authentic taste. Definitely a place worth coming back to again and again! This place only has valet parking.

This little restaurant was so charming. I loved the whole feel and vibe of it. The food was really good! We tired a couple of things. We started with an appetizer CHORIZO CON PAPA EMPANADAS $15 These empanadas were so flavorful. TRES LECHES TOAST $20 My daughter loved it. And the little jug that comes with it was so cute! I got the PAN FRANCES CON FRUTOS. It was amazing with a strawberry reduction! My husband got the LOS CHILAQUILES JALAPENO, TOMATILLO, CHIPOTLE, FUEGO OR AVOCADO. Everything about that dish was so good! The staff were super friendly! Overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends! And can't wait to come back!

Cute little spot with great vibes and even better service! First off, valet was a breeze. The guys were super friendly, attentive, and had everything moving quickly -- such a smooth start to brunch. Velet is off tips. I made reservations for my primas, and honestly... I must've been that person because I called FOUR times to change the reservation . Then when we arrived, I still had to adjust the party size. Not once did they make it an issue. Every single time, they were accommodating, patient, and kind. That alone says a lot about their customer service. Once my full party arrived, we were seated within 2 minutes, even though the place was busy. Super impressive. The space is definitely Instagram-worthy with its beautiful setup and vaulted ceilings, but we were so deep in conversation we didn't even leave the table once. That says everything about how comfortable and enjoyable the experience was. Now the food... SO good. * I had the poblano burger with fries -- the burger was flavorful and juicy, and the shoestring fries were perfectly crispy. * My prima ordered the camarón diablo with rice and beans -- I tried one shrimp and WOW. Jumbo, juicy, and coated in a rich, smoky chipotle red sauce. Delicious. * Another prima got the green chilaquiles with eggs over easy, and those were just as good -- full of flavor and perfectly done. For drinks, my primas had the pepino rita with watermelon. The color threw me off a bit, but they said it tasted good. I stuck with water so I could fully enjoy the food. Service throughout was on point -- constant water refills, quick food delivery, and very attentive staff without being overbearing. Bathrooms were clean, and the overall ambiance was just really nice and welcoming. Also, there's a young photographer who walked around and snapped a few pic's of us at the table, came back a few minutes later with developed prints. Definitely coming back. Perfect spot for brunch with family or friends.

    Chipotle chilaquiles with arachera.
    Lexsie R.

Finally tried jardin and it was good, my friends and I ordered the Chipotle chilaquilles. They were creamy and very tasty. It had a bit of a cheese taste to them that made me feel like I was eating nachos (not mad about it) the arachera was super soft and cooked to perfection!. I wish it came with an extra salsa or Pico to add to it. I was missing a hint of spice. I'll order a differnt flavor of them and see if thats more up my alley. The empanadas were okay. Those did come with a salsa and it was good. I had a sip of the mazapan latte, that actually tasted like marzipan. I will be back to try new flavors. Parking is valet only. Street pakring available in neighborhoods. The lightening in the restaurant was perfect and the moody vibe was great. The staff was very friendly .

The first time visiting this restaurant, the reservation was easy to make for my Daughter's birthday, the environment is romantic, intimate, familiar, Luis the waiter is so friendly and fast, paying attention on what we need. The food we order was so good, different plates comparing to other restaurant's. They have the flan option and sing for the birthday person. The cafe de olla is tasty, also we tried the mazapán and horchata coffee. The mimosas are 3 on the menu, and also the bottle is available and you can have like 6 drinks from there. The valet parking is for donation cash, Zell, venmo. There's no way to park your car without the valet parking. In that case look for parking on the street. The hours of operation are accurate on yelp and Google. We will be back to try more dishes soon. I highly recommend it.

This was a great brunch and it was a fun spot to check out. Parking is valet only and on the weekends it gets packed so reservations are definitely a good idea. The atmosphere is cozy but full of Instagram moments and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the visit. I ordered the Chilaquiles Verdes with green tomatillo salsa and steak from their brunch menu. The housemade tortilla chips were perfectly crisp, the tomatillo salsa was tangy and flavorful, and the queso fresco and crema added a nice balance that kept every bite interesting. It was a hearty portion and felt like a proper brunch plate. To drink I had their Horchata Agua Fresca, which was refreshing but a bit too much sweetness to pair with the chilaquiles. The mix of cinnamon flavor with horchata made it too much for the meal. The combination of good food, great service, and an enjoyable atmosphere makes this place worth the trip. It's a solid option if you're looking for brunch or a relaxed lunch in this part of Orange.

Jardin Autentica Cocona is soooo good! This was my third visit and recently tried booking a reservation for my daughter's bday but they were closed for dinner that day. All this to say, the food and experience is superb! This last visit, my girlfriends and I reserved brunch on a Sunday. As always, never had an issue with their reservations. Valet parking is so convenient too. I'm so glad they do this. It's free and of course tips are welcomed. The restaurant is not that big but the layout works, I'm so glad we got to sit in the larger room close to the pretty faux well with floral arrangements. This whole restaurant is a vibe and Instagram worthy. This visit I ordered the Mexican latte and the cazuela and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Portions are perfect. The drinks are always good. Everyone at our table tried something different from each other and they enjoyed them. Also, 10/10 on the steak. I had it also in another dish on a previous visit and they just know what they're doing. The cut and the way they cook it, is so good! I need to come back for the Pasta à la Diabla with Shrimp. This is on my list of return visits for sure!

    Mixed grilled platter for 2

We found this place randomly as we were in the area, and we are so glad that we did!! First of all , the ambiance and lighting is really nice and the service was attentive and friendly! But the seller was the Grilled platter para Dos!!! It was protein heaven!! Shrimp, chicken breast, ribeye and this grilled panela cheese! It all came with rice, beans and all the fixings including guacamole! All for $55-- it was massive! We thought this was the best deal on the menu! Portions appear on the larger size ( leftovers a given) with entrees ranging between $30-$50. We learned they are only open for dinner Fridays and Saturdays , everyday open for breakfast and lunch until 2 so plan accordingly. Before we left , we saw a flight of margaritas float by and believe me, this was hardly a flight as I saw 3 full size margaritas!! Next time!!

Do they have TVs at this restaurant for live sports?

    No, they don't.

Is this a good place for large groups (10-12people)? Is there amble space around tables for guests with wheel chairs?

It's a great spot, but can get crowded and might not be wheelchair-friendly. I'd suggest messaging them before going. I enjoyed it, even though it's on the smaller side.

When making reservations a $25 deposit is required per person but will be applied to your bill day of visit. The hostess was very kind upon check in and took us to the back where the 46 door is. She provided us a code and explained the time limit along with house rules. We were then told to knock on the door and proceed with the experience. Kudos to the owner as this is the only speakeasy in the OC that has a true speakeasy feel entrance. They had a gentleman open the peephole and ask for the entry code. Once we said the code we entered a really cool mine shaft area. The attention to detail was on point and I was impressed! We were then taken upstairs to a private bar where there are four tables of four so a max of 16. This makes sense as to why reservations are hard to come by. The only ding about seating is you are sat with strangers it is not a private table. Luckily we had a fun older couple at our table so it made the conversation more lively. Otherwise don't go here with an expectation of an intimate/ private date night. They also offer a limited food menu but looked very promising. However, we were here for a night cap so just dabbled in drinks. The bartender had a seasonal menu of 4 cocktails he created. He explained the drinks and then had us try each one with a straw. We then placed our order based on what we liked. He did say if we were not a fan he could create us our own personal cocktail as well. The old fashion he created was phenomenal! Overall, a cool little spot in the OC. Do wish they were open later as they do close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

After a farewell dinner to/at Gulliver's Prime Ribs Of Beef, our party of six continued the evening several miles away at Stowaway for some light bites and libations. Personally, I was all about the Hawaiiana tiki culture and tried to live it every day. Founded by co-owners Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, its current home of barely three years in a former dive bar came about when they unceremoniously had to leave the original location. With its proximity to Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room and the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture, they found their footing with a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, and tropical trimmings. Would I stow myself away somewhere inside and never leave!? PURCHASE(S) Don Q Punch Bowl ($38.00): Made with Don Q's Cristal Silver, Anejo, and 151 Gold Rums, respectively, peach brandy, passion fruit, pineapple juice, and citrus juices, this flaming concoction was rumtastic in every way possible as the tropical juices just made it that much sweeter. There were more ice chips than I liked, but it was a fun trough to drink out of for the four of us who wanted to imbibe. Coconut Shrimp 6pc ($12.00): Breaded and flash-fried plump shrimp served with a sweet chili dipping sauce, these were tasty and perfectly paired with the Don Q cocktail I was drinking. Stowaway Fries ($17.00): Constructed with a pile of crisp golden spud sticks, rum braised pork, and topped with a hearty gravy and sunny-side up egg, this loco moco fries dish was slamming while the slightly charred juicy pork had me squealing with enjoyment. SERVICE We had reservations, so once our entire party arrived, they quickly seated us in a cool cave-live separate alcove for more privacy. Our server arrived with menus, suggestions, and glasses of water. Minutes later, we all ordered at once, and everything (drinks and food) arrived within ten minutes. Because we had another reservation inside the same bar, we informed our male server and to let us know when we were allowed to go there. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located within a strip mall, you opened the front door and walked into an island oasis as if you were a cast member on "Gilligan's Island" with thatched roof material above you, tiki statues displaced on all of the volcanic-looking walls, collections of tiki mugs past and present for purchase, a central square bar with plenty of stools, and seemingly small dark nooks and private spaces where naughty things could happen. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights barely guided you along. There were no TVs while I recalled various styles of music played in the background along with chatter and clamor of conversations in all directions. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL I had a cowabunga time at Stowaway, and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I loved tiki bars, and although this was generally out of my range, I'd make a special trip or two here. My one drink was lip-smacking good, the pupus were yummy, the prices were reasonable enough, the atmosphere was stupendous, and the service was friendly and professional. While the drinks menu was loaded with tropical cocktails, an impressive rum selection, and a decent assortment of local craft beers, the food menu was somewhat limited. And, the bar had happy hour TU-FR 4pm-6pm. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $75.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

If you want just cute pictures and just a great ambiance then you'll be fine coming here. I was between giving 2 and 3 stars for this place. I can't deny this was a cute place. $45 a setting... I didn't see the value. I think this place would be better for just pure brunch rather than tea.

Both exterior and interior look like a 1930s train station. We sat in a booth and enjoyed great food and quintessential service. I ordered the Irish French Toast. This was in the top tier of French Toasts I've ever had. The thick, battered Texas Toast had a delicate interior with a bit of powdered sugar on top. The two large pieces were surrounded by banana slices. The syrup was a house-made Jameson Irish Whiskey Sauce. Incredible. I was in breakfast nirvana from the first bite. This dish came with a side of eggs and choice of meat (I went with scrambled eggs and bacon), both of which were excellent tho nothing fancy. I also swiped a beignet from my dining companion's plate. This fat pastry was the best beignet I've ever had, so pillowy soft! Come here for a great meal surrounded by a cool, train-themed atmosphere.

He made us feel welcomed as it was our first time coming here. By we I mean my self and three friends as well. He took our orders mentally. That was impressive! And got every order correct. He knew his menu items. I ordered a hot coffee (refills available) and the garden omelette. Instead of their bakery it's chi ie of beignets or a muffin, I opted for sourdough toast. Delicious! I took some leftovers home. For what I paid for it, I think it was reasonably priced. We did come for breakfast. Around this time it's not overly packed and we came on memorial weekend. As we headed out close to noon, lunch hour is where people will begin to pour in. We saw trains pass by periodically but it wasn't bothersome. I can't wait to come back.

My husband has a wheat allergy and she was so sweet to help with accommodating him as well as offering tasting when trying to decide between seltzer or a cider. Coctails and Food were A++ I will dream about their Tomato Addiction until i have it again! Bursting with flavors, sourdough was fresh and had the right amount of crunch. Melty brie and the garlicy tomatoes married together perfectly. Will be returning for that alone! Santa Ana Winds was yummy with the perfect amount of coconutty flavor. Nightbloom had a beautiful presentation with a very unique flavor, so delish!!

The only downside is parking can be a little difficult during lunch time. One of the things I like about this place is when you walk through the door you already have a warm and fuzzy feeling. Almost like you're going into someone else's home for a meal. Lots of wood. Lots of dim lining. The place is very upscale without feeling stuffy. If you are going there for lunch, I highly recommend you get the burger off the menu. I am not kidding. It is one of the best tasting hamburgers I've had in a very long time. They cook it perfectly and their french fries are seasoned to perfection. Wait staff is top-notch, they definitely take care of your table while not hovering over you. One thing of note, they have great iced tea. Bottom line? If you are in town and looking for a good lunch that won't break the bank, I highly recommend public legacy, and make sure you get the burger!

Had reservations for a party of four (made via online) and was seated right away. Ambiance is dark and intimate but seating was enough to feel like you had room. Drinks were delicious and strong and service was great and quick. You are limited to eating and drinking within a certain time frame but it's not bad as the servers are on it. Drinks 10/10 and food 10/10. I'm still craving their burger, one of the best ones I have had, I can't even compare it to anywhere else. Bathrooms are located outside of the speakeasy.

The best part of Strong Water is the immersive experience you feel sitting inside. We sat in the Captain's quarters which was an intimate spot for great conversation. Our waiter was very friendly and gave plenty of options. We opted for the Crispy Tuna Appetizer which unfortunately was not good at all. The tuna and toppings were okay but the crispy rice tasted like fried fair food almost with the texture of a rice cake. Hopefully, their other dishes are better. For drinks, the waiter helped select the Banana Batida for me which was very lovely! I love how customized the recommendations were. My partner ordered a rum drink which he enjoyed as well. We finished off with a brownie dessert. I really enjoyed the passion fruit puree and kiwi topping. The brownie tasted good but was very dense which isn't my preference. Overall, would recommend. Prioritize the drinks over the food in my opinion
