I booked my appointment three weeks in advance for 10:00 AM and received written confirmation stating, "See you at 10:00 AM." On the morning of my appointment, while I was dropping my daughter off at daycare 30 minutes away, the salon called and told me my appointment was actually at 9:00 AM. Despite me having confirmation that my appointment was scheduled for 10:00 AM, the response was essentially, "We called the other appointments and they can't move, so we can't do your nails. You can come sit here and we'll see if we can work you in." So because of an error on their end, I was the one who lost my appointment. As a new customer, I was apparently the easiest person to bump. What was most disappointing was not the scheduling mistake itself, mistakes happen, but the complete lack of effort to make things right. No accommodation, no attempt to prioritize me, no solution. I took time off work, arranged my entire day around this appointment, and left feeling completely dismissed. Customer service matters, especially when the business is at fault. They paint each nail with precision, I NEVER have clumps of gel polish in my cuticles, they always fix little things immediately, and are just as particular as I would be with my own nails. The polish they use is supplied by the big nail salon surplus store around the corner so I know it's all local businesses were supporting. Which to me means paying for ballet lessons and soccer practice rather than the alternative big corporate. The place isn't new or bougie or super frufru fancy! But it's down home, good people. Which means great prices! And I love it!!
