The menu and food are a good concept and there are some good items. I wish this was better run and reflected a quality establishment for the neighborhood. There are some major issues with the staff and the running of the place which has been continuous for years. The staff is not knowledgeable about the menu or ingredients which at a place like this you would expect. The pricing is a mess and shady. Almost nothing on the menu boards in the store has prices displayed. There's one price for items if you order in store and there's a slightly cheaper price for the same things if you order from their website. The staff even told us to order online next time to save money. The smoothies on the menu board have ingredients listed that don't match what the cooks have when they make the smoothie. We had to have our smoothie fixed twice to match what we thought we ordered for $12! We went to sit in the backyard with our food on a beautiful day and were told by the staff they didn't know if it was for customers as they just smoke back there. I have to say I never knew this place existed in this strip mall. We were picking up Moes but I did want anything from Moes. I was so excited to see this place since I'm a vegetarian and they had a comprehensive menu from smoothies to burgers which is really nice. We walked in, there was one person waiting for his order. We stood at the counter and waited for the counter person. She appeared to be bagging things. She looked at us and just looked away which I found strange. There was another person in the back I would assume cooking. He saw us standing by the counter and said something to the counter person and she turned to us and said she would be with us in a minute. I had already been standing at the counter awkwardly for several minutes. She finishes gathering the order for the other gentleman and gives him the bags. She turned to us and asked if we knew what we wanted. I said yes I ordered the Mediterranean salad and really hoped it would be delicious. We sat and waited for my order to be ready. Then I noticed the person in back had placed a bowl container on the counter. The counter person was checking something on her phone or something. I assumed the bowl was not my order because she didn't bag it and give it to me. A few more minutes pass by and she looks up and bags the salad bowl and gives it to me. Needless to say I was annoyed by this delay for no apparent reason. I should mention there was still no one else in the restaurant. On the way out there was a pile of plates with old food waiting to be cleaned. I liked the salad the falafel was pretty good but I was not happy with the service. Over priced. Bland and tasteless. Ordered a Bison burger (medium rare)- it didn't taste like anything and it was completely over cooked to well done. Salmon burger was slightly better but also nothing special. They advertise Coca Cola products but they serve Pepsi and ginger ale... which is just annoying, adjust the listing! Fries are stone cold and mushy. The burgers were also cold. Portions are small. I would rather spend twice as much money somewhere else. Super disappointing. I don't recommend this place, at least not for delivery. The restaurant is only 10 minutes away so there's really no reason for the food to have been stone cold. This is one of my new favorite places. Taking care of my health is important to me . My eating regiment Bounce's back-and-forth between Weight Watchers type eating and keto type eating. The food that I get from here is delicious and nutritious. So far I've had the teriyaki chicken wrap which was delicious and I've had the Protein brownies and muffins. All really good. A small side of honey mustard is .75 and a bottle of water is $2.50! I am not cheap at all but this blew my mind. I didn't say anything because I assumed the product would match the price. The wrap was a soggy wet mess that I had to eat with a fork. Where there's smoke, there's fire. A place with this many bad reviews has to be doing something wrong. I called the store and told them they forgot my wheatgrass shots and the girl said "i know, i noticed after you left. I put them in the fridge after I made them". One star because of decent service. Minus four stars because: - none of this food is actually *that* healthy. Barely any plant based/other healthy options besides smoothies/juices. - I asked for a few different things such as falafel and veggie burger and they were out of them. Sadly it's hit or miss it depends on the chef. When I go and it's the female it seems to be larger portions and cooked perfect when I go and it's the guy it's smaller portions and the food is not as organized like the eggs are falling out of the wrap. They have fantastic açai bowls. I find the girl on the phone really sweet but she doesn't really know anything about the food they should have her study the menu so she can answer questions without putting me on hold. But again she could be new I would say visit the location and see what you think because they just might have had a few bad days when I didn't get what I usually get in the past. This place used to be much better. I'm not sure what happened but the quality and service have declined. They frequently get the order wrong or forget boast of the order. It's very frustrating to go home abs find out that you're missing items or have the wrong item. The portions have also shrunk. I feel like it's hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good but other times it's not. Tonight I got mushy fries. They've given me a side of chili in the same container as a salad which made the salad soggy and ruined it. I felt you should have called me personally and told me my options. But then when I spoke to doordash, they said it was because the restaurant told them they were closed. If you are closed they why did you turn the system to have customers order? It takes 4 seconds to make a payment, and then when a hiccup happens, it take s 5 business days to give the money back. So, I really want to LOVE this place but my experience was kind of mediocre. For the duration of my drive from Jones Beach to Bellmore, post run, I was getting incredibly hyped as I scrolled up and down the endless menu of things I could actually eat (for once) while choosing to dine outside my home. As a super healthy/clean eater, my options are generally super limited so the prospect of a menu beaming with options for someone like myself seemed a lot like Christmas. When my two friends and myself walked in, despite having studied the menu, we took a few minutes to gather our thoughts and make our final decisions before ordering. The little teenie boppers, fresh out of high school for the summer, were not so jazzed to see three people ordering within the last hour and fifteen of being open, but I remained sweet as pie seeing as I was SO HAPPY to be eating healthy food outside of my own kitchen. I chose to build my own plate with chicken, mixed veggies, and the power salad. ($12.45) I ordered a cup of water which annoyed the young girl, but I could have cared less seeing as paying for water when I drink as much as I do is absolutely pointless. I did have to ask for it a second time after ordering, seeing as she didn't give it to me but whatever. As I was at the counter while my friends ordered, I began speaking with the young boy behind the counter and inquired about any sauces or rubs for my chicken. He told me they had "anything I could imagine" proceeded by a list of three options and I asked if there were dry/rubs or powders and he disappeared into the back without clarifying but I requested something hot and got whatever variation it was on my chicken. The portion was a heaping, and I was ecstatic. Generally when you pay such a good price for healthy food, the portions suck and freshness isn't always the greatest. But alas, Energy Fuel was plentiful and at peak freshness and for that I am grateful. However, my power salad didn't come dressed with the oil and vinegar as described on the menu and I was so starving/i wasn't in the mood for any more teen girl attitude/they employees were hanging out talking to people who dropped by to visit them so I ate my salad dry (which wasn't the best, but I do it at home sometimes so whatever). The veggies, steamed, were cooked well and also fresh plus the portion of chicken was tremendous (definitely get your money's worth!) However, my friend ordered the elk burger and it was served on a pita instead of the bun which was depicted in the photo on the menu which confused him a bit and the sweet potato fries were a nearly non-existent portion. Overall, we all agreed we wouldn't make the journey from Huntington to Bellmore again unless we were in the area by chance. The staff should have definitely been friendlier and more eager to give us a better customer service experience seeing as we were the only three people in the restaurant but I guess the kiddo's are still learning. Haha. If you want a healthy bite, definitely give them a try but don't expect anything life changing/extraordinary. Although this place is perfect if you're into fitness/running/body building/lifting/etc. and need to refuel but don't have the time to cook at home. Came here on 1/31 at 3:13 pm ... spent over $34 on 2 meals and mistakenly ordered cauliflower instead of Brussels sprouts. Which i can't stand cauliflower as it was a mistake. The minute they brought it over i explained it was a mistake and asked to please replace it with Brussel sprouts the manager said I'd have to pay for a new side .. although i didn't touch the veggies on my plate. The young girl at the register was on her cell phone when myself and 3 other teachers came to have lunch. She reacted in a way as if we were bothering her while she was on a personal phone call. She proceeded to give us our food (still on her cell phone) with an attitude. She was extremely unprofessional. We were very disappointed in her service as we have enjoyed coming to energy fuel for lunch in the past. When more customers arrived behind us, she told the person "she would call them back, it was getting busy" when we left she was on a phone call again. Very rude and clearly not valuing her job or the customers that visit this establishment. We will be taking our business elsewhere because of this. Great healthy food and perfect for my diet because there are so many options, but.... the cashier is so rude. It's so unfortunate because I keep going back there and expecting a different cashier, and every time it's the same one. I walked in and ordered 2 bowls to go. After paying, I was told it would be an hour (!!!). If I had known it would take an hour before I paid, I wouldn't have bothered. I came back an hour later though figuring my order would be ready. I was told to wait a few minutes and after another 20 minutes (!!!) was told there was an 'issue' with my order, as it was clear my food was never made. I was given the option to wait or get a refund. I took the refund and they offered me a free smoothie. Never got my food.
