The BEST! We haven't been to this establishment in over 8 years due to service and food issues. We decided to give it another shot last week and it was AMAZING. Needless to say, we dined in again this evening and it was again, amazing (beside one of two pizzas being mistaken for a round instead of a square). The classic pizza was good, but the BLT pizza is my new FAV! They were short staffed and STILL managed to get our food out quicker than our usual fully staffed restaurants. My soups have been hot (without having to ask) both times and the food quality is above the moon. Gina took care of us, and I cannot say enough about how great she is! She ran her butt off all night, and was also super personable and attentive. We will definitely be here often (which is crazy for us to say because we are a bit picky! ) Keep up the quick service, don't leave people hanging and keep the food HOT! read more

Engine house is amazing! We like to start our meal with 2 baskets of tally sticks which is only $4! We got two small pizzas and mine was made incorrectly with an ingredient that I don't mind and without an ingredient that I love. The services was great as usual. Tuesday night. We placed our order which the appetizer plater was part of our order. When it came out the potatoe skins came out as fries with cheese and bacon on it very disappointed, the Jalapeño poppers came out as hashbrowns deep fried with cheese in the middle with two diced up pieces of jalapeños that you could barely see ( very small), the cheese sticks (not sure what kind of cheese or if they had real cheese in them) were terrible. Love this place, Tally sticks are sooo good with butter. I got the broasted chicken and it was very Tender. Other people at our table got the pizza, cheeseburger and Perch and they all said they liked it. My husband got the cod on another visit, but did not care for it, but said the perch on a different visit was good. (As you can see we've been a number of times). The food is consistently great and the waitstaff as well. My only complaint is that they don't offer online ordering. I order a lot of carry out due to my family getting home late on school nights after sports (and my husband and I work full time). Most times when I call it doesn't get answered and when it does, they can never hear me because the bartenders are straining to hear above the din. Online ordering would fix that or even if they had a special carry out phone number that gets answered in the kitchen instead of under all the tvs and in front of a crowd. I've had pizza here twice and it is excellent. So we went a few days ago and I ventured into the rest of the menu. Mistake. WARNING: If you watch your salt intake, don't eat here I had lake perch, my favorite fish. It was horrid what they did to that fish. The breading was heavy, the fish cooked until the breading was burned and the fish, dry. The green beans were cooked nicely, still on the crispy side, but seasoned so heavily with salt they were inedible. All of our group were unsatisfied with something. My spouse said his chicken pastina soup was salty. Our son and his girlfriend tried the French onion soup. I know that tends to be salty, but the girlfriend quit eating hers because the broth was just too saline, and she also said it was too strong. Service was very good, but it was much less busy on a Sunday evening than the busy weekday lunch hour. I will return here for the pizza and salad. Period. read more

The Engine House is a local pub in Mount Clemens Michigan they serve a lot of different items on their menu from Pizza and burgers and most of your ordinary pub fare. They have quite a few different salads we had the chopped salad and it was good to very good but not great we have had chopped salads all around the country and this one rates a strong 6 or 7 also had a cheeseburger ordered it medium it came well done but I guess that's to be expected in a pub the burger was very good beef but still just another Burger I was not overly impressed with the engine house this is our second visit here and I think it's just another choice in Mount Clemens definitely not a go-to place but would go there again in a pinch. Unfortunately, the open sky part was the deal breaker, as it was open, and raining April showers My server tonight was trainee Kelley (or perhaps Kelli, or Kellie - I'm not sure). I DO NOT understand why this place does not have more stars. The food is AMAZING. My husband got the clam chowder and the Reuben and I got a round pizza. Everything was prepared perfectly and was super tasty. We will definitely be back. The waitstaff is attentive. I finally had a chance to try the Engine House. I live maybe a half mile away and drive by this place a few times a week. The building is what initially caught my eye. It has a very appealing look and in a very unique spot in the Mount Clemens area (especially if you have seen the other building on Cass Ave :P ) The inside is super welcoming and has a local pub feel. The crowd is also great and it appears to be an older group of people who are probably regulars. This is not a party place. You can tell people are here to spend time with friends, watch sports, and eat awesome pizza. Now on to the food. The pizza was a square deep dish with just cheese, pepperoni and bacon. It was great. No cheap ingredients or disgusting dripping grease puddles. It was simple but well made. They are not trying to reinvent the wheel will this one. Honestly, they stick with what works and they do a great job. I will say it was a little heavy on the cheese, which might no appeal to everyone, but I was not complaining. The cheese bread was also amazing! I think I actually preferred that to the pizza lol. Over all it is a great local spot in Mount Clemens and their business is thriving. I may be bias because I live walking distance from this place and the Engine House is my go to bar in Mount Clemens CHOO CHOO... train goes by and you're instantly handed a jello shot from the waitress (sorry children.. you will be skipped) I LOVE LOVE their BLT Pizza. I am a DIE HARD Jets Pizza fan.. and I have to say that Engine House square pizza is a close second. Their steak bites, quesadillas and hamburgers are great and try the engine House Pita Pizza! This is my go to if I'm not getting pizza and beer with a group of friends. BEST WAITSTAFF AND BARTENDERS IN THE CLEM AREA!
