This pizza was great, from the crust to the cheese. Loved it! Steak and cheese was amazing bread was so fresh and soft. The service was great, friendly and quick. Place has great firefighter appreciation vibes.

I was in Boston for my niece's volleyball tournament and had the chance to check out Salem. We decided to have dinner here and it certainly did not disappoint. The pizza here is really good and came out hot and fresh. The crust was crispy (not overly crispy) and held the toppings well; the sauce was tasty. The price for two small pizzas, four drinks and mozzarella sticks was not super expensive and worth every penny. The mozzarella sticks were crispy and the cheese pull was great! Scott and the guy making the pizza were super nice and this place had a nice quaint ambiance. You had Miami Vice playing on the TV and all the good 80's songs playing...very 80's east coast pizzeria. IMO it's well worth a visit to this little gem.

A another pizza stop in my day in Salem. The only one that was reasonable prices. A slice of cheese and a coke for $5. Located right next the fire station this has a welcoming enviorment with a couple arcarde games in the back corner. Pizza was ok. Nothing special, but when factoring in the price it was the best of the ones I tried.

The steak and cheese also received very positive feedback from my son for its flavor, it did have a lot of grease but it didn't seem to take away from his enjoyment of it. We decided to order a Sicilian style pizza as well since it is out go to pizza style. I really liked the dough, the assortment of cheeses was fine (not my favorite but not bad), and the sauce was probably my least favorite part of it, I'm not sure if it was basil or oregano but that was the main flavor profile from it. We unfortunately did not get to come when the owner was in since she isn't feeling well, but her niece was working really hard to hold down the fort by herself.

Being from a very different place, we were interested to learn some of the history of the area from a life long local. She was funny, she was pleasant, and she is a lovely person. On top of the great company, came great food and the best dark and stormy I've ever had. We got a few slices of the pizzas for the day, and all three were fantastic, with good crust and fresh ingredients- the two most important things about pizza! I was so wrapped up in the experience that I did t take a single picture other than the cookies we snagged on the way out.

This is one slice. Although it's good size, it was extremely thin and burned.

April 17, 2026 I…read morewent with my parents tonight to the Adriatic Restaurant (Washington Street), Salem, MA. We've started having dinner out twice a month and this was the most recent experience. I had gone online to the NORTH SHORE DINNING PAGE on Facebook and asked people about their experiences with the restaurant in the last two days and here's what people said: "great, tender meatballs", "great eggplant parmigiana", "very good experience". .... And what we found out is that they were right. Those things were all true! Now.... As to what we ordered: I got the grilled octopus. It was the only partial miss on the menu. Arugula just doesn't make a very good sauce and it was a pretty bad base for what would otherwise might have been a great appetizer. My mother got the Caesar salad. It was good. It's a hard thing to screw up. My father ordered the meatballs. They were amazing and delicious - just like Facebook promised. The tzatziki sauce was good. Maybe not as good as mine, but good nonetheless. So dinner.... Mine was the Chicken Saltimboca. It was so good that I'd bathe in the sauce they make with it. I loved eating forkfuls of the chicken with bites of the mashed potatoes. That was really luxuriant. My mother had the Eggplant parmigiana and she wiped out the entire plate. She loved it. My father.... Beef tenderloin tips. Maybe cooked slightly too much, but delicious. He wiped out the plate. To drink.... I was out of the hospital and recovering from brain tumor surgery, so I had the hard cider (3.5% BV), my father had the Peroni (Italian) beer, and my mother had the Bud light. I tasted the Peroni and liked it very much. The hard cider had almost no sweetness to it. It was dry as a higher end brut champagne.... Which actually set off the meal really nicely. My tastes weren't clashing and that was good. Our waiter, Sean, was great. Ask for him! We left a $32 tip, so the bill came to $197.85

I had a delicious espresso martini and for apps I tried the arancini and picked off my sister's caesar salad. They were both alright, but the caesar could've used more dressing and I didn't love the flavor of the arancini - just a bit bland. For my entree I had the shrimp scampi. This also really lacked flavor, and I was yearning for more tomatoes. The service was great and our waitress Leanna was attentive and super sweet. They had clean bathrooms and ample parking out front and around the block. However, the food wasn't memorable, and I don't think I'll go out of my way to return.

The menu here is different than Antique Table and Piccolo Piatti Winthrop, which offers full service dining with mostly Italian food. I stopped by Piccolo Piatti mid-afternoon and the place was fairly busy with people hanging out waiting for their orders. I ordered a Salmon Bowl ($16 plus tax) which was ready in about 25 minutes after ordering since there were already large orders before mine. I watched the two cooks prepare food in the kitchen as I waited. The Salmon Bowl was really good with nice flavors, which had white rice, mixed greens, red onions, pico de gallo, hot tender honey glazed salmon smoothed with a pesto mayo. I will definitely have to drop in again for a hot sandwich with a smoothie!
