First off, I completely understand that I am a very uncommon client for this store. But I do want to say, after a google search graced me with Enid's I was on my way to get a brand new wig for my 80's glam metal cover band I have been in for 20 years. When you walk, if you are lucky, you are greeted by a very nice puppy lounging in the sun. The ladies that work there are all sweet, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. My mother-in-law bought two wigs here a good while back. They are nicely made and good looking. She is elderly and I have on a few occasions dropped off or picked up one of her wigs for cleaning and whatever other magic is performed on her wigs. At first I felt a little awkward entering a business with many dozens of wigs perched on heads watching me as I head for the counter in the back. This discomfort vanished after meeting the ladies who work here. They are lovely. I was told they take care of the needs of men who are challenged in the hair department as well. I have had 2 brain surgeries (with all hair shaved off) and 3 abdominal surgeries since August of 2022. I had to have all of my teeth removed as well. I cannot tell you how awful I felt and how terrible I looked. I had everything delivered for fear of being seen. Last week, I finally got my dentures, and then thought it might be nice to get a wig. I looked online for wigs for people with brain surgeries. Enid's Wigs kept popping up, so I decided to go take a look--I knew absolutely nothing about wigs. Well, I chose the right place because everyone in that boutique is so kind and helpful. Enid and her assistants knew exactly what I needed in a wig. I now have one being shaped for me. I also learned about monofilaments and hair being sown in by hand. And I am now also the proud owner of some very soft bamboo head coverings. I had been using a cotton head cover that became very uncomfortable. But I needed something that could keep my head warmer at night, so I suffered. With the bamboo ones, I don't even know that I have one on! If you are ever in the area, stop by and take a look at this marvelous shop. I cannot speak highly enough of Enid and her staff. A few years ago I bought a wig at Enid's, mostly just for fun, but they were so helpful and I saw how helpful they were to other customers. Sadly, my mom was recently diagnosed with cancer so I took her to Enid's to her a wig in preparation for chemotherapy and it was the most supportive experience my mom had had since her diagnosis. Enid is so compassionate and knowledgeable and, being a cancer survivor herself, she was so helpful to my mom. She even offered to shave her head when the time came. I walked out crying. I drove down from Seal Beach because of the reviews and I perceived they would be sensitive to my situation. I'm getting chemo in a week and have a real hair wig that my niece had made with her hair. When I received the wig it was a blob of hair that needed styled and I'd never put on a wig before so I could use a little advice. I went in and explained my situation. The woman who greeted me asked me to wait one second, went back and discussed my situation with another woman. I heard her say, "you can show her how to put it in but don't spend a lot of time with her. You can show her how our wigs are better if she doesn't like hers." I almost started crying and wanted to walk out but I was desperate for help. She showed me how to put it on but didn't explain the clips or anything, said hey wouldn't style it, and explained why their wigs might be a better option. I was under the impression they would be sympathetic as someone there had undergone chemo. I feel so defeated. And so disappointed. This is not how I need to spend my time. read more

I've been using a wig shop in Mission Viejo and thought it was time to see what else was out there. Enid's is twice as far for me to drive but it was worth it. The owner, Enid, really knows what she is doing. There were some damage to one of my existing wigs and she fixed it! She also cuts the wigs while you are there so she can better fit/style it to your head. My wigs looks so much more natural. Enid and her staff are very knowledgeable and caring. I am 48 years old and was diagnosed with brain cancer 6 months ago. Due to my treatments, I have to shave my head every 4 days. I went to several wig stores and had tears in every store I went to as I could not believe that wigs were going to be my new normal. When I went to Enid's the tears were flowing as usual and all of the sudden, her sweet dog Dakota came walking over and layed down next to me and put her paw on my foot, as if she was comforting me - which she was!
