Checked out Enraku after seeing all the great reviews. Overall great service, food came out super fast, and ambiance was great. Tons of seats so did not have to wait. They currently have tons of special (some only for the weekday) and buy one roll and get the second 50% off. Their menu is massive! Tons of things to get if you aren't into sushi or want something cooked. Parking is definitely a challenge though. Tough finding street parking and recommend looking for public parking lot nearby.

Bogo $1 on large bottle Asahi / house hot sake is a great deal. Rolls are also bogo 50% off and the fish is really fresh. The Baja California and ex girlfriend rolls were our favorite. Family had a great time overall.

This is the owner as Chomp. They simply just changed name in one side. Food is still great American style sushi roles and fairly good Ramen. The ramen was the highlight for us with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. Restaurant is a little dated and needs some renovation. Still have a nice warm vibe with great service. Would recommend and would come back again.

Great sushi. The fish are all fresh. They have real wasabi available for purchase. The crispy rice salmon is incredible

Always so good to have a lunch here! The baked green mussels, honeymoon roll, salmon lover, captain America roll, and omg roll are so good! Highly recommend trying them out, the decor inside is really fun, and the servers are always very nice. :)

Now my 2nd time trying this new sushi joint for dinner. Got similar things both times. The first time we had it, we got the Gurume premium and we were won over. It was so good for the price! We were there around 8pm so I especially appreciated how fresh the fish and good the sushi rice was. This most recent time, we were there around 8:30pm and the sushi rice was definitely disappointing. It was stale and the texture was super off which took away from the sushi. We also tried the seasonal truffle eel and were super disappointed by how small and measly the portion size was for the price. The smallest pieces of eel.. Combining both experiences, I'd give this place 4 stars! Will most likely go back to our usual sushi spot after this last visit.

Nice spot in downtown Fullerton with each seating area feeling a bit more private. Good noise level and ambience for dates and small group gatherings. Ordered a sashimi set and everything was really solid. Yellowtail hits hard, as does the salmon and albacore. Not even a fan of albacore or tuna but it was delicious to me! They have the good wasabi (even the free one is bomb) you can order too. Service was pretty quick given that it was close to closing time. Coming here again since it's nearby for me :)

Great service. The host went out of his way to celebrate a birthday and I recommend the bento boxes and uni pasta. The menu is extensive and has cold and hot plates and fresh sushi. Located in downtown Fullerton and would come back.

Loved the quality of food. The Service was fast and consistent. The space they have is huge, it makes it not feel crammed. The ambiance is mellow and beautiful. The presentation of the food was beautiful. Including how they bring the rice in a covered lid, to keep it warm and fluffy. They offer authentic sushi and yet still have bento combinations that are so much more than the basic types of options. As well as kids meal which is amazing. When finished they came and offered free ice cream bars. Super yummy. Honestly one of the best spots I have been to.

    FRIED CORN, SUPER CRUNCH ROLL

Enraku was such a cute place to hang out in downtown Fullerton. We came and didn't even know that they were having BOGO 50% off promotion for both Chef's Special Rolls and Hot Sake, so that was a bonus on top of the delicious food and drinks. Besides the rolls, their Fried Corn was definitely our highlight of the night. It's individually coated with tempura flour so super crunchy and fun to eat. The Takoyaki was also very delish! Service was very fast and polite. The only thing we would ask for improvement is the AC; it got pretty hot since we were also enjoying some sake during the meal. Apart from the heat, we had a pleasant time. Will definitely come back!

My favorite motsu nabe. Little kick of spiciness makes a perfect balance. I think I can eat this everyday. Fresh sushi and amazing quality. Service was amazing and servers were so sweet and kind. Coming back next week!

Came here for dinner and honestly didn't know what to expect, but it ended up being a pretty solid experience overall. The place has a nice vibe inside. Dim lighting, clean setup, and it feels a little more elevated than your typical sushi spot in the area. Not too loud, not too quiet. Good balance if you're just trying to sit down and enjoy your meal. We also tried a couple of their other dishes and they all came out well prepared. Nothing really missed, but at the same time nothing that completely blew me away either. Just consistently good across the board. Service was alright. I had to flag someome down a few times for water refills. Food came out at a steady pace and we didn't feel rushed at all. Not necessarily a spot I'd go out of my way for, but definitely one I'd keep in rotation.

Fifteen courses that are surprises because even tho there's a "template" of types of dishes, each one is ultimately the chef's choice. As each course was brought out, our waiter did an excellent job of describing what each item was and it's place of origin. Fifteen courses is alot to try to remember each specific dish so I decided to stay in the moment (after I snapped a pic) and enjoyed each one as we had them and talked about the flavor profiles and what we liked best about it. When my son had made the reservation he must have told them we were celebrating my birthday because in addition to the regular dessert course, our server brought me a birthday dessert which included green tea ice cream and a slice of matcha cheesecake. The full omakase experience was delicious and so fun! I told my son that it was like an advent calendar ~ each course we "opened" had us saying "ooo, how yummy" and left us with almost giddy anticipation of what we'd discover next. If you're looking for something fun and unique for a special occasion, I highly recommend the full omakase experience at Akashiro!

So we found this place and it was in the same vicinity and yay, they took reservations. Made reservations same day for a 18:30 seating. Service is impeccable. We were welcomed with hot towels, and this impressed me: when our server asked if we wanted cold or hot water. Love it! We opted for hot, better for digestion :) Our libation: Kubota sake - semi dry, rich, clean Our dishes: Assorted sashimi (16 pcs) - omakase. No soy sauce needed. Chef prepared with delicious flavors in mind. Tiger scallops - served in a what appears to resemble petrified wood, carved into a long boatlike dish. Hokkaido shrimp, cilantro oil, chilaquita (Peruvian onion relish), sweet potato crisp, smoke aji Amarillo (Peruvian yellow chili) Leche de tigre (rich emulsion of limes, Peruvian spices and chilis) - A complexity of flavors that comes together so completely. Eat with spoon. The delicate potato crisp finishes the bite with a little crunch. Udon picante - bell peppers, quinoa and 2 jumbo shrimp. Love the heat level. Comfort food at its best. Salmon parmesan - Nikkei sushi - seared salmon, parmesan bitter, eel sauce , arare, lime. Amazing. O toro sushi - the fattiest cut of tuna. Eat as is. Again chef prepared. No added seasoning required. Parri maki - fried shrimp, cream cheese, seared tuna topped with chimichurri, aji amarillo, chalaquita, ponzu. Food experience was enhanced by their impeccable taste in music. Super chill, soft beats stream the restaurant. With its perfect lighting too sets all the good moods for us. Don't wait for this fine dining experience of Japanese and Peruvian fusion. Note: when they ask if you want soy sauce, say No, thank you. It would be a shame to kill the taste of a beautiful dish with any added sauce. Kampai! Salud!

First, the BOGO deal is awesome. There are happy hour deals, but we rarely get there in time to take advantage. It's just a bit of a drive for us to get there early enough. Second, the Chefs!!! Go to any sushi joint you want... you've got ONE chef slinging fish, totally backed up, trying his best to keep pace, and all the while losing attention to detail and presentation. CRnS always has 3 sometimes 4 Chef's behind the line. The result is faster service.... Of course.... But presentations that are almost too pretty to eat... but, it's sushi, so we eat them anyway. And third, the servers.... They are pretty consistent....There are not new servers every other week like some lesser joints. You get familiar with them and they get familiar you. Which leads me to James! James is awesome, polite, helpful, attentive, and just does a great job. I could never do it.... I'd be like "Bruh, I was just here 2 minutes ago, why didn't you ask more Wasabi and Ginger then?" Not James, always glad to bring us more Wasabi and Ginger.... My girlfriend has been to Kaori Sushi several times with her girlfriends, so when everyone decided…read moreto turn it into a triple date, we ended up with a party of six and collectively decided to go for the omakase. Now, I should probably explain that I am VERY new to seafood. My girlfriend has slowly been introducing me to sushi and different types of fish, and I've discovered some things I absolutely love and others that I still can't get past. So when everyone said omakase, I'll admit, I was a little intimidated. But as someone currently on a mission to explore seafood, challenge accepted. We started with the cucumber sunomono, and this was an excellent way to begin. I added some fresh ginger and absolutely loved it. Light, refreshing and immediately had me excited for what was coming next. Then came the asari clam miso soup. This one wasn't really for me, but I gave it a solid try! That's basically the entire point of this seafood adventure anyway. Next was the chef's choice sashimi, which I believe included salmon belly and yellowtail, and this was REALLY good. Beautiful cuts, great texture and flavor. Raw fish continues to be where I'm finding my happy place. Then came the main event: the nigiri. This was probably the most adventurous I've gotten with seafood yet. We had everything from uni and bluefin toro to kampachi, madai, scallop, black cod and unagi. I especially loved some of the lighter-colored fish with the bright, citrusy yuzu flavors. Those were easily some of my favorites. The food also started coming FAST. I remember scarfing down what I thought was my last piece of nigiri only for another plate to immediately appear with the unagi and black cod. I've learned from my previous seafood adventures that I really like unagi, and that held true here. The unagi was delicious. Black cod, however, has now gotten multiple chances from me and I think I'm finally ready to admit we're just not meant for each other. There's a particular fishy flavor that I haven't been able to get past. We finished the omakase with the negi toro hand roll, cut in two, and by the end I felt like I'd just completed an entire crash course in sushi. We also added a few things outside the omakase, including jalapeño bombs and chicken karaage. And after ALLLLLL that sushi... The chicken karaage was my favorite thing of the night. I know. I know. I survived an entire omakase, tried uni, toro, kampachi, madai, scallop, black cod and eel...and walked away talking about the fried chicken. But that karaage HIT. Overall, this was an awesome experience and I'm genuinely glad my girlfriend convinced me to jump into the deep end. The omakase helped me try several types of fish I probably never would have ordered individually and, more importantly, helped me figure out what I actually enjoy. Would I do the omakase again? Probably not, but that's not a knock against it at all. I feel like it accomplished exactly what I wanted it to. Next time I'd love to come back knowing what I like and explore the rest of the menu, maybe a bento or another entrée. For a former "I'm not a seafood guy" slowly figuring out that maybe I actually am a seafood guy...Kaori Sushi was one hell of a training session.
