Terrible customer service and false advertisement. I booked a car for the same day, got a confirmation email and out of nowhere they cancelled my reservation less than 30 minutes before pickup! The "manager" Jocelyn couldn't care less and had so much attitude over the phone. She offered no solution and kept arguing that "at least they're letting me know". Wow. We are regular at this location and rent cars at least once a month. Will not get back and I will follow up with a proper complaint at their head office. If you know you don't accept same day bookings then don't allow same day bookings on your website otherwise this is false advertising. 100% deceiving from what I thought was a decent company. My reservation paperwork stated my reservation STARTED at 1pm. On my way to the rental location, I discovered the branch closed at 1pm as well, and my eta was 1:05pm. When I asked if the branch would stay open an extra 5mins (as my paperwork said my reservation started at 1), the team was incredibly unhelpful and just kept repeating "we close the doors at 1pm". In these terrible times, I wish we could all have a little more understanding and decency toward other humans, and worked to help one another. Kevin helped me get it for an affordable price and gave me a quick tour of the car before picking it up so that I was aware of the damages on the car and whatever it was that I needed to know. At the Burbank office when I went to pick up a rental arrange with Entrprise by Geico after my car was T-boned, your attendant misled me about coverage of the rental, although I told him I was still insured by Geico, but he made me think that may not cover it and that I should get your insurance to be certain. I accepted but when I saw the charges were in excess of the fee for the rental itself, I contacted Geico, where I learned you staff knew if the rental was arranged by Geico, they should have known Geico covered the insurance, so I felt tricked and complained. Your service person who I complaiined to told me I had to have the vehicle examined before I could cancel the extra, excess insurance so I had to bring the car in,, but I was still renting it for 3 more weeks. I brought the car in, and the clerk that I had examine it said he would credit my account for a refund of the unnecessary extra insurance to be paid back to me at the end of the rental. Instead, when I got home, my bank notified me that Enterprise in the hour it took me to get home had placed new charges doubling the amount it had already tricked me into agreeing to for redundant insurance coverage, above what I already had. RESERVATIONS MEAN NOTHING! I had an 8am reservation for an SUV, needed for a special work project. I was on a tight schedule for the entire day. Having been through this "reservations mean nothing" before with another Enterprise Office. I called at 7:30am when they opened, told them I'd arrive in a half hour, and I asked that it be gassed, cleaned, and ready to go. The employee replied that they had no SUVs. I asked if they would have one by 8am. She said, maybe, maybe not, they can't guarantee that the vehicle I reserved will actually be there when it supposed to be. "MAYBE someone will return an SUV in the next 30 minutes".....is the best she could do for me. When I told her this was completely unacceptable, she said, "what are we supposed to do?" How about DO YOUR JOB! I hung up and found another agency that had an SUV on site. Enterprise is a business which operates on reservations, and they still haven't figured out how to do that after 61 years! As I arrived I was assisted by a middle eastern gentleman who told me they were no cars available and he couldn't help me w my car reservation. He proceeded to tell me that if I needed a car there plenty of other companies that could accommodate at the airport or tomorrow when most places would be open. For respect to the line of customers waiting I didn't make a scene. This person was simply racist to my brown skin and my braided hair. Worst place to ever rent a vehicle. First, the day I went in to pick up my rental through my car insurance it was so un organized they were under staffed. Second, they called me 4 times to ask me what make and model car was given to me two weeks after I was driving it. Third, they ran my credit card 2 times one was authorized by me but not the second one. When I first picked up rental they mentioned they would give me a ride home once I dropped off vehicle. 9 years ago I experienced some of the worst customer service from Burbank Enterprise, nothing has changed. Jocelyn and the branch manager, Robert Ortega, need to go to customer service training and refrain from helping customers who were involved in car accidents. I was told by Robert Ortega "he didn't care" what our complaint was, he spoke over me, raised his voice and the epitome of bad management and unprofessionalism. Since he "doesn't care" whether I complain to corporate I did just that and I'm going to continue to complain to save other customers from this experience. All this location had to do was give me a time and guarantee for a vehicle. They could neither guarantee a car nor give us a specific time for a car pickup. They were aware this was an accident involved issue but they didn't care. I want to end by saying not all Enterprise locations run this way, we visited the San Fernando location and were given top notch service, they didn't have any back story their location is just run by better management. I suggest whomever is managing that location they offer assistance to this one. They know what to do, they know how to speak to customers and they don't have a superiority complex. If you've read this far into my review, and you're in the Burbank area save yourself the trouble and go through the Burbank airport rental location or use San Fernando, they are much better equipped with the tools to assist. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR DEPOSIT! I was recently in a car accident and needed to rent a vehicle. I rented a car from the Burbank, CA branch on Victory for 15 days starting January 17, 2021 and signed an agreement to pay $430.72, including taxes and fees. I told the associate who checked me in that it was an insurance rental. He informed me that I needed to deposit $630, most of which would be refunded once my insurance company approved my claim. He said that $100 would be held until I returned the car in case there were any unexpected charges for fuel, etc. And, as long as there were no additional charges, that last $100 would be refunded after I returned the car. The deposit was not returned to me as described. I had to call Enterprise on 3 separate occasions, to follow up about the refund. And, each time I was assured the refund would be processed in a couple of days. Each time, only a partial refund was credited to my bank account. This is already an issue but not the reason for my complaint. It took longer than the 15 days to fix my car. So, I subsequently extended my rental twice, and ended up keeping the car a total of 30 days. When I dropped off the car, the girl who checked me in told me that the total cost of my rental was $880. She actually showed me the total on her handheld tablet. She told me that would be covered by my insurance since my rental car benefit is $900, and that the balance of my deposit would be refunded in a couple of days. That was Monday, February 15th. On Friday, February 18th, I still had not received the balance of my deposit. I called in again and was told that my insurance company had agreed to pay for the full 30 days. I inquired about the balance of my deposit, which was $153.06, and was told it should be in my account in a couple of days. I waited until Wednesday, February 24th and still no money. I once again called in to find out what happened to my refund. This time I was told that the total cost of my rental was $1,053.06 and that the $153.06 went to pay the difference from the $900 my insurance company paid. I asked why and was told that it the daily rate with taxes was higher than what the $30 my insurance had paid. This doesn't make any sense. The agreement I signed for the first 15 days was $430.72, all in. So, the 30 day rental should have cost $861.44. Why is Enterprise charging and withholding an additional $153.06 out of my deposit? I called in again this morning and spoke with Anthony Martin, who said he was the manager. His explanation was that because this was an insurance rental, I was charged the negotiated daily rate which is higher than the rate I would have paid if I had paid for it myself. Not only is that ridiculous, it's unfair and deceptive of Enterprise to do business this way. If I made a reservation and agreed to pay the rate you offered at the time of the reservation, that rate should be honored regardless of who is paying the bill. I'm sure there are plenty of people this has happened to who are either oblivious, or simply don't care that they're getting hosed. Maybe they just don't have the time or the inclination to make a fuss. I'm not one of them. I am not the guy who will just go away and let you steal my money. When I made the reservation, I specifically selected a vehicle that would not exceed what my insurance company would pay, including taxes, etc., because I did not want to pay anything out of pocket. I am the sole provider of a family of 5, with a diabetic wife, an autistic child and no health insurance. I simply cannot afford to lose a single dollar of hard-earned money that could go to provide for my family. So, please, do the right thing. I had a 24hr reservation made to pick up my rental car that my insurance covers at $45/day and when I showed up they gave my rental car away and gave me only two other choices, a more expensive utility cargo van or a Mercedes suv at $59/day. Given that I need a car I had to take the more expensive car and told them I don't want to pay more than 3 days and to eventually switch me out for something I'm covered for. They never contacted me back and when I contacted them they said they still don't have a car for me and that I would have to continue paying the high amount. Not great! Because Anthony is so rude! The man who was there when I picked up the car was lovely. It was like Hussein, or...shoot, I can't recall. A lovely African American man. I wish I could recall his name! Anthony...needs to go. I just called to double check how long I can keep the car, as its being paid for by my insurance. Allstate has told me its paid for, for 30 days. Anthony says, "Yes, 30 days. Its approved until Nov 1st"...which was 5 days ago and day 21. So naturally, I said, but Nov 1st isn't 30 days though? He then said in a slow measured, annoyed voice, "THEY COVER IT FOR 30 DAYS" I looked at my calendar and then said, but the 1st isn't 30 days, so I'm confused. Nov 10th is 30 days. He then got silent, sighed and said again, even more annoyed "THEY COVER IT FOR 30 DAYS". I responded with, well day 30 would be Nov 10th, but you are saying it was only approved until Nov 1st. He then said, "RIGHT, NOVEMBER 1ST, THEY COVER IT FOR 30 DAYS". I then had to AGAIN point out that "you said it was only covered until the 1st, which is not 30 days, it's 21 days..... so can you see why I'm confused here, and just need to make sure I'm not getting a bill when I bring it back." He took a deep breath, and in a VERY rude tone said..."THEY COVER IT FOR 30 DAYS! " I said, ok, "what's your name?" and I came to YELP. So anyone who is Anthony's boss....CAN HIM. He kisses your ass, but is awful when you are not around. Or his boss is also rude. Only two choices. I had to call my insurance AGAIN and they AGAIN told me, it's 30 days, until the 10th, they don't know why Anthony is telling me its only approved until the 1st, and Anthony is wrong. Sure hope he is not there when I bring it back as I am going to have a bill, apparently, and have to get Enterprise and insurance to talk to each other...UGH. Then they say to me I can call another location to secure the right car in surrounding area (Glendale or Burbank) and they will provide transportation. So I do this go back to them and tell them I will need transportation to Glendale. I have spent approximately $2000.00 in total. Each time the service was worse than before. 1.) the employees are clueless. With their inventory . Even if you call the day before to confirm your reservation. The vehicle is filthy and then when you complain they get upset that they have to clean it . Sand and dirt was everywhere, windows were dirty inside and out . Greasy Hand prints all over the windows. Not sanitize properly. Hoping I do not get Covid-19 because they are far too lazy to do their job. I waited an extra hour waiting for 3 people to clean the interior and it was still dirty . All 3 were angry and pissed off . Their attitudes were terrible. No manners and then they make you wait so that you can speak to an employee for some help when you 1st arrive and there is nobody else in line. The vehicle was buried 5 vehicles deep. It should have been ready to walk in sign the paperwork and drive off. No body even explained how to operated that specific vehicle . How about the gas door, to put gas in the tank . I had to look it up in the manual at the gas satiation . No front passenger mat either . I pointed this out and the employee said " oh we know it's ok " I replied are you not going to put one in its place ? " no" was my answer ... 2.) I called the the branch manage 5 times , left messages regarding the issues . He never responded. His name is Trevor Yslas. He should not have this position if he does not know how to operate and monitor Enterprise business , the employees beneath him or take care of paying clients. I am not happy with this location on Victory blv. First of all, the cars not in a good condition even they are new. We took a 2020 Hyundai Tucson, horrible, hard to drive, because this car weak for any gasoline, i don't know. However the price is 35$ per day., it's not cheap. Per month almost 1K. Second of all, when i did returned a car , it was half of the trunk, and this company charge me $26 for 1/4, because i have to return with 3/4 tank of gasoline. this is ridiculous.! read more

The best airport location I have rented a car from. I rented a Ford Focus in San Rafael and I traveled to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, I got a flat tire and I was stuck off the 405 over by LAX at 9 pm at night. I called Enterprise to come fix the tire and almost two hours later no one had arrived. I called Customer Support a few times and they said the tow truck guy was on his way but, of course, they never came. It was 11 pm, and I was exhausted waiting for the tow truck so I decided to call my insurance company. Progressive saved the day and they had someone to help me in 15 mins. The next morning I took the car to Burbank to swap cars and the staff was extremely helpful and apologetic of my nightmare experience the day before. It was extra stressful because of the fires on 405 and I was trying to figure out an alternative route to get to my destination. Thanks to Enterprise in Burbank, I had my new wheels within 20 minutes and I was out the door. I'm a loyal customer of Enterprise but customer service can be sketchy depending on the location. I fought it 3x, complaining that they never provided photos of the car prior to check out, statements they listed on the check-in form were not true and never said, mileage listed was lower than when we checked it out. SO many errors and inconsistencies. The photos they provided had no date stamps and only showed damage close up (which could have been any vehicle) or damage they weren't trying to pin on us. I WILL NEVER USE THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY AGAIN. I would get denial letters with no explanation. When I called they said I would get a letter with a detailed explanation. I never did. I had a pretty luke-warm experience with Enterprise and a bad experience with this Enterprise branch in particular. First, the car was filthy. There were stains all over the windows and the paint. The rep who rented the car to me said "we wash the cars, we just don't dry them." Well, apparently they don't rinse them either because it looked awful, especially for the price we paid. It was clearly a liquid wax that had been sprayed on but not rinsed off. Also, when I returned the car the same rep charged me for two extra hours even though I was less than an hour after my drop-off time. It's worth noting that I tried calling this branch about 5 times during the day to let them know I was going to be a little late, but they never answer their phone. I did get to talk to some guy in Bangladesh or India but he was improperly trained and he didn't have any access to my reservation. When I asked to simply talk about my reservation with someone at the rental location, he transferred me to another calling center, they couldn't help me either. I've noticed here on Yelp that several customers have complained that their car wasn't ready when they got there. This happens, I'm sure, when customers drop off cars a little late like I did. But, if they ever bothered to answer their phones they would know when customers were running late and could coordinate with other branches. I'm sure this problem keeps occurring because there is no way for the current renter to notify them that they would be late. I also hate the way Enterprise tries their best to screw you on the gas. You have the option of letting them fill up your tank for a reasonable price, but ONLY if you pay the cost of filling the tank from completely empty to full when you pick up the car. Otherwise they charge a ridiculous refueling charge if you bring it back less than full. Since you rarely return a car with a completely empty tank, this "reasonable price" is really just another scam they thought up to screw their customers out of their money. If Enterprise really wanted to provide good service, they would offer you that pre-rental rate for whatever it took to fill the tank, not charge you for a complete fill-up BEFORE you leave the lot. Don't take this bogus "deal." The only good thing I can say is about the main company's roadside service. We got a flat tire and after changing it ourselves (to the spare donut) she told us where we could go to get a new tire. This was paid for by Enterprise, NOT because it's their car, but because we spent an extra $20 a day for the insurance. I know most car rental places have terrible policies and customer service, but I think Enterprise really goes that extra mile to be the worst. Oh, I forgot to mention, their reps smile a lot. The assistant manager Jocelyn is extremely rude, unprofessional and seems extremely disorganized. She made me wait for a substantial period of time before she checked me in my car, never apologized and seemed to scoff when I questioned the level of customer service. I was helped at the location by my house and Iden got me in my car and out the driveway fast and efficiently, devoid of any issues. Plus his customer service was outstanding. Horrible customer service. I've been renting from this location for years, getting a shop rate that is always the same from where I have my car worked on. Don't call to get any details about rental discount affiliated with reputable business's. Even though I KNOW the answer, they have no clue, and somehow CANT ask a manager to find out. My problem is the parking, only two-hour parking in the surrounding area, I saw several cars parked along side of Enterprise with tickets ! I asked an associate if I could park on the property, a little space next to the building, she stated "no the owner doesn't allow it, we even get tickets parking on the street". We advised them we did not want to come out of pocket and to pls find us another car to rent. The young lady helping us stuck her head in to her boss and he approved the rate to be reduced so I would not come out of pocket on the initial car offered. I returned the car mid-sept only to find a charge on my bill mid-oct. I've called three times; twice I was assured the $80.50 charge would be credited and another time I was told they were too busy and asked to leave a return phone # by an associate named Jay. It had been awhile since I had used this location due to the fact that I refuse to spend $ at Community Chevrolet (but that's another review). I needed a car for a short road trip in conjunction with my car being in the shop. I reserved a luxury for a week in the hopes of getting a Cadillac. They are a small location, so I was understanding when there was not one available when I picked up. Cindy handled my check-in and was super awesome. I was flexible and drove something else until they called to let me know something nicer was available. I ended up in a BMW X3 and to say I was satisfied would be a gross understatement. Allie and Cindy took care of my vehicle swap and got me back on the road, then I had a phenomenal road trip (especially when I found the "Sport Mode" button). If you can't tell, it was hard to go back to by regular whip. I can't say enough nice things about this location, or the employees. Cindy even volunteered to take me to the shop to pick up my car when I returned. I'm disappointed that I only have 5-Stars to give! read more

(my novella, for Enterprise) I'll tell you whuu-ut, wouldn't recommend them. Now I'll tell you wh-huy. So, some absent minded driver backed into Miss P's vehicle while she was parked. So it begins. The dealing with the insurance, damage assessment yada, yada, blah, blah, etcetera, etcetera. As part of the deal, Miss P gets an allowance to rent a vehicle. Enter Enterprise rentals. First car she gets is not to her liking. Miss Paradise is a picky woman, and is accustomed to the finer things in life (case in point, she's with me. *insert sideways smiley face: here) So after a day she returns it to get something a little classier. So it's Friday night and we are heading out for dinner (Alfredo's Granada. Always a solid choice.) we open the trunk and behold, a golf bag and a pair of sneakers. Don't really care for the sport, but to each their own. It's already past their closing time, so in the course of our Saturday morning we'll run by and drop the shit off. Cut to 8:55 am Saturday morning. Miss Paradise's cell rings and wakes her up. She doesn't recognize the number and she don't answer. Dude from Enterprise on the line leaves a message about a missing golf bag. Also on the message, they leave the number of the golfer who apparently is freaking out about missing tee time, just in case we want to give him a call and have him drop by the house to collect his clubs. F-that. I don't know anything about the golfer and he's not getting our home address. Besides, this situation is the fault of two parties, Enterprise for releasing a car without checking it, and the golfer for neglecting his prized golf clubs. No blame on our side of the table. 9:02 am, phone rings again with a unknown 310 number. She doesn't answer. It's the fucking golfer! (I know! I said the same thing!) It appears that if this Saturday round of golf gets delayed one of his relatives (could be anyone of them) is going to die. 9:05 am he calls again. 9:09 am another missed call from him. Miss P called Enterprise to find out just what kind of operation they are running there. She was told the employee that left the initial message was unavailable. She voices her extreme displeasure with the fact that a complete stranger (who called a total of four times in 12 minutes) now has her cell number. They apologized. We get ready and head out for our day, with Enterprise as our first stop. As we're going in I see an Enterprise dude, duck out the back of the joint. Best guess is that's who woke us up with the first call. At the front desk we asked for this employee by name. We were told he was away from the office. The girl at the front desk covered for her coworker, and told us that the golfer must have snuck a look at their sheet and got our number that way. Ok, first of all, no. That's not how it happened. The golfer probably was pressuring the employee to give him our cell, and the Enterprise dude caved. But, here let me give you the benefit of the doubt and I'll pretend we were being told the truth. Our private information should NEVER be in plain enough sight that a-hole golfers can easily jot it down and start harassing strangers first thing on a Saturday-fucking-morning. I recently treated myself to a VIP-level vacation in Burbank, CA. I pulled out all the stops, no f'n around. Nothing was too good for me! My first act of business was securing a ride to live out my San Fernando Valley dreams in style. So, like any high-roller with stars in his eyes, I went to Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where I was treated with the respect that a man of my stature deserves. The staff graciously cleared the runway of any troublesome paperwork and red taped drama and fit me with a vehicle fit for a man of my tasted: a red cherried-out Chevy Aveo. Yeah, you heard me. I drove to places like Sun Valley (babes), NoHo (scenery), Hollywood (Ssshh :) ), and Burbank (parties), turning heads wherever I pulled up. That sweet chariot of style took me places I've never dreamed of. When it came time to catch my jet back home, I found it hassle-free, though bittersweet, to turn my ride back to the hard-working folks at the 'Prise. I've dealt with Enterprise Rent-a-car for years now and NEVER in my life did I deal with such CRAP as I had to deal with at this location. Nimi, your ass needs to be fired! Mr. Manager, your ass needs to be fired! Enterprise Corporate office, this is your WAKE UP CALL!! You have one location that has nothing but BAD reviews! Somebody better wake up and get the 300 LB. elephant out of the room before it destroys your reputation! If you're interested in the details, here's how it went: -Made reservations through central reservations. That part was easy! Same great service I'm accustomed to when I usually call them up. -Arrived morning of reservation. Office is full of young, inexperienced children working behind the counter. But hey, we all have to start somewhere, so I must give them the opportunity to WOW me with their great customer service. -I am offered a choice of 2 cars, one is a complete piece of s*&!, the other is a Ford Focus that is not even in the same category as my reservation. I thought, well, it's new and nice. I can deal with a Ford Focus and I should get a better rate because I'll be downgrading instead of upgrading. WRONG!! They actually had the nerve to insist that the rate is the same for both full and intermediate! Then why would you have the category if it's the same? What a bunch of BS! So, I rented it anyway, I need to get back to work. *FYI - I didn't take the additional collision coverage, I have my own Insurance. Well, this young schmuck starts asking me what kind if Insurance do i have. Who is the company, what is my deductable? Do they offer free towing? Do they have road side assistance? I'm like....WTF? Just give me the damn car!! I don't need your additional coverage!! So, he made a point of writing down the details of my Insurance on the actual rental copy. ALL THE DETAILS! -I return the car 3 days early (I had it for week at the weekly rate). Yes, I know exactly what you're thinking. Yes, it is cheaper to rent it for the week, even if you return it 3 days early...but....in all cases when i returned it early, I ALWAYS received some money back off the deal. NO, not this location. They looked at me like HELL NO! -Upon return, the schmuck looked over the rental car in such detail that I was starting to get annoyed! HE WAS TRYING TO FIND DAMAGE!! I mean I know they need to look it over, that is normal. But usually, the look over the vehicle with a quick glance and of course any small scratches or dings they just overlook at normal wear and tear. Not this idiot!! He was looking over every friggin' inch of the car! I couldn't believe it! He was actually stooping down low to see the sun reflect in the paint to verify any scratches! I almost walked over to him and WHACKED HIM!! He then brought the manager over and pointed out some small scratch on the trunk and tried to point it out that it wasn't on the rental contract. After some VERY dirty looks by me, he walked inside. - I forgot my Maui Jim Sunglass case in the trunk of the car (along with a $35 Car charger that was zipped up inside) and a $15 dollar scratch resistant cloth for my Maui Jims'. Do you think I could get them to actually assist me with this? HELL NO! Every time I called I got some different answer as to why they couldn't look! One time, the idiot actually said to me "oh, I'll go out and look in the trunk. Give me 2 hours and I'll call you back". WTF?? 2 hours? to go look in the trunk? When I called back in 2 hours, what do you think i was told? "Oh, that car is rented now" WTF? HOLY CRAP!! One week later and I never did get a call back from them, after SIX attempts to get my belongings back! So, Enterprise, you really f*&Cked up with you let these idiots open up this location! Your name and reputation are in serious jeopardy as long as this location is in business! They are clueless, they don't give a rat's ass about customer service and they are just DYING to up charge their customers for something!! STAY AWAY from this location at ALL COSTS!!!!
