I would leave 0 stars if possible. I got in a car accident and had to take my car to the repair shop. My insurance company will pay for a rental car. I scheduled enterprise to pick me up at 12:30 at the repair shop. I am sitting here for over 25 minutes with no sign of any car anywhere in sight and no word from them about where they are. I called the local branch and have been on hold and trying to get through to a person for over 20 minutes. Someone answered and asked if she can "put me on a brief hold while she helps people in the lobby." That was ten minutes ago. I'm listening to their incredibly obnoxious hold music and tinny voices yelling at me about how great they are and how they are a "family owned business" who "treats customers they way they should be treated, "in this "very corporate world." They have a specific line in there about how they will pick you up at the repair shop. This company is pure trash. Don't waste your time or money. Find another way. read more

I would give 0/5 stars if I could. I was sent there by my insurance company due to hit and run. I requested a sedan and got an SUV. The steering wheel was jerking and so I returned it, the next day. I spoke with someone about a sedan and was lied to again that they would have one ready for me. I was almost rented out a SUV that smelled like pee!! How is there a cleaning crew for the car and didn't smell or see a big stain on the seat??? They changed me to another SUV and this one has tire issues. I went to dispute an issue with them about additional coverage and instead of seeing their wrong! they terminated my contact! told me to get an uber to the next enterprise dealership! the assistant manager was completely rude when I stated that they were wrong in this situation. They tried to rush me in getting my belongings out of the car and blocked me in, like I was going to steal the car! absolutely disgusting behavior by them! It is impossible to get in touch with anyone at this location. In my experiences, hold times routinely exceed one hour. The last time I called, I held for an hour and a half and someone picked up and then hung up immediately. I've secured a reservation in the past only to find that no cars were available. I tried using the chat option and was directed to keep trying the branch. I would suggest exploring other options. read more

I had to pick up a car in Florida and drop it at this location...then six days later do the reverse. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and met all my needs. Both transactions were quick and uneventful (which is just how I like it when renting cars)! I'll be back! I was in a car accident and enterprise was who I was setup with to get my rental. When I get there all the cars they had on the lot were an extra amount that I had to pay out of pocket that the party who was responsible for my accident couldn't cover. There was a lady that got me into a pickup truck and as we walked around for a damage check I pointed to the rear of the truck and said is this normal, she said yes. Proceeded to keep looking at the truck and there were no other damages. When I returned the truck a few days later a different guy looked at the truck and asked me did I get into an accident? I said no, he then stated there was no damage on that truck recorded. I said that damage been there when I got it and pointed it out to the lady. He said there's nun he could do, that the damage wasn't reported from before. I received a bill of over $2000 saying im responsible for paying something I DIDNT DO! They also gave me a truck WITH NO GAS IN IT AND IT SMELLED OF CIGARETTES! I will not be paying $2000 for a truck I didn't damage and for horrible service. There's no way you missed that damage prior to me picking up the car and me bringing it back days later. I felt set up and will not be paying that fee or returning to this enterprise. read more

Place has a wierd smell. In less than 2 minutes, they offered me 3 different cars because someone kept giving my car to other customers, but I was the only one with an appt! It took almost an hour to get my rental. I thought coming in the middle of the day would be better than their peak times. read more

The staff was very professional and courteous, but the cars could use some TLC. The first car I received (a Toyota Camry) had the tire light on when I got it. I informed the staff and they were quick to resolve the matter. I then took the car home only to discover the next morning that the card had an oil leak, staining my garage floor. I took it back in, got a replacement (Chevy Malibu), drove off only to see the tire light on this car as well. Additionally, the car did not even have a key fob, just a regular key. I guess it pays to step up to the higher end rental agencies to ensure a better quality of product. read more

The car was dirty, no big deal we cleaned the car. When we were running late we called and told (Sam) we were going to be there shortly after they closed, the phone call got disconnected or he hung up, but we gave him the benefit of the doubt. We dropped they care of on Saturday afternoon and used the drop box. WE WERE CHARGED FOR SATURDAY and SUNDAY. Just because their office was closed on Sunday. Today the manager Dorothy was very rude. Most of the time my experience with this branch is okay but my last experience was just downright not right. To start off, this branch has some really great and dedicated people working there. There are some members of the staff that are not aware of their behaviors​ and tone and the way they rub off on their clients. To list off my complaints, this location does not have a drop off box. So renters have to actually come to the location at business hours to drop off the car. Well, most people work and most people can't come to that location at business hours outside of the weekend. My other complaint is that they are sloppy with the rentals. Many times I've rented vehicles with past renters properties in the car. Sometimes the vehicles are not as clean as they should. They don't like picking people up, which I thought was part of the Enterprise tag line. If it's part of the marketing tagline why is this branch so resistant to it? That I don't know. I want to know why I was able to make a reservation online on Tuesday 11/15 and then receive a phone call on Thursday 11/17 telling me that I cannot rent a vehicle with my debit card all the sudden - even after I had spoken with my local office on Wednesday. I made the reservation online on Tuesday 11/15, called my local office on Wednesday 11/16 to verify what documents I would need in order to rent a standard SUV because I am paying with a Debit card (gave them all my information and everything was fine, no one said there was any problems) and then I get a call on Thursday 11/17 saying I cannot rent an SUV with a debit card. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! WHY WASN'T I TOLD THIS WHEN I CALLED ON WEDNESDAY?? In fact, my wife was told that we could get a minvan but it was going to be almost double the price - gimme a break! You won't rent me an SUV because of the value of the vehicle but you will rent me a minivan for double the cost?? Please...I wasn't born yesterday. Your employees clearly do not communicate, do not seem to care & do not have a thorough working knowledge of company policies. Poor experience at pick up. Had to wait on someone to bring a car to the appointment. Did a walk around in the dark and rain and missed some scratches to the very bottom of the front bumper that were there then charged to me at drop off. ** These scratches are on the underside of the bumper and are not at all visible when looking at the car straight on or bending a reasonable amount. Your head/eyes must be below the hood level to even see them. When discussing this alleged damage with Michael, he claims he was trained to check this at pick up and could not have possibly missed something. He was standoffish and not at all interested in anything other than filing his damage report and collecting $500 from us (regardless of the fact that these scratches are likely going to be well under this amount). I've personally not had poor experiences with ERAC in the past (in fact have rented in Chicago, Columbus and Virginia Beach recently with absolutely no issues and a great experience), but have heard numerous poor customer service stories and am disappointed to now be among the unhappy customers. I have rented from a different Charlotte branch that was not a whole lot better than this experience. This particular rental was all done through the Hendrick Luxury Collision Center across the street from the actual branch, and we would recommend avoiding them as well since you will end up dealing this Enterprise branch and staff. Returned rental today to Enterprise Rent-A-Car on 5/23/18 at 8:30, the vehicle was a Nissan Rogue, Gray in color. The representative that did a return inspection and came back inside to inform me that there was a large dent on the top of the vehicle. I advised him if there's one there now it was there when I left with the vehicle. He stated that there wasn't any damage report of the dent, and that I would be responsible for it. He said that he could see the dent immediately walking up to it. When we went outside to look at the dent, he had to show me where it was because I could see it until I stood on my tip toes stretching up. I advised him that the only way / reason he saw the damage was because of his height... I'm 5'7" and the girl that checked me out was several inches shorter than me. He still proceeds to declare that the damage is on us. During our back and forth about the dent another female pulls up and I asked her if she worked there and she replied yes. I said OK, she's my height (with the heels she had on), and she can provide an unbiased view because she doesn't know what the claim damage is... let her do the return inspection on this truck and see what damage she finds. I asked her to look at the truck and tell us what damage if any she sees, while she begins her walk around the truck the original representative walks off mumbling. I asked him why are you walking away, lets see what your co-worker's report is. When the girl completes her walk around she walks past me and gets into another vehicle and I asked her what damage did she find? She replied if he says there's damage, there's damage and got into the vehicle to pull forward in the wash line. I asked her again... "But can YOU tell me what damage you saw" and she rolled up her window and pulled forward. From that point I didn't have anything else to say... I just felt unjustly defeated! I sat inside while the guy completed whatever paperwork he needed to do. He hands me paperwork and I stormed out the door waiting for the driver to take me home. The rep comes out and says that I have his paperwork, I told him to give me mine - he proceeds to try and show me something on the paper, I advised him to just give me my copy... I can read. I recently was hit by an uninsured motorist, and my insurance company is covering my car rental while my car is being fixed. I was picked up by enterprise from the body shop; had a brief conversation with the enterprise employee about why I need a car (like how my uninsured motorist is only $100 and Allstate is covering my rental). Everything is all good and smooth. He also tells me insurance coverage has changed and now that company's only cover the car that is on your policy. That company's love that because your car sits in the shop and they don't have to really cover you. Also some story about how a women just the other week was in the same situation as me, got into a wreck in the rental, and now has to pay $3000 out of her pocket. So of course I believe him and get the $20 a day insurance that enterprise offers. I talk to some people about this and everyone says that doesn't sounds right so I call Allstate and ask. What the enterprise employee sold me was pointless. I'm fully covered so what I drive is fully covered. So I drive to a different location (closer to my house) to cancel my pointless insurance. I tell them the story and all they have to say about it is that "well he doesn't know what kind of insurance you have." I'm honestly embarrassed I fell for this, and disappointed that they really had no care to make this right. I've rented a car though them before through an insurance company for a hit and run and it was a great experience. Enterprise at 5100 E Independence Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28212 are thieves!!! If I could rate them a zero, I would. I was hit by a car and the guys insurance company offered me a rental until my car was repaired. Enterprise stated that they would need my credit card for a $50 deposit. At the end of the day, they STOLE $336 from me. Instead of charging the guys insurance company, they charged me and refuse to return my money although they used my credit card for an unauthorized purpose. Now they're trying to tell me that I authorized them to use my card for additional insurance. I have an AmEx card...no additional insurance is never needed cause I'm covered under AmEx. When I called the corporate office, not only did they tell me that they had 2 contracts with my name on it, one was blank and the other was for $34 when they stole $336. I called the manager, Ryan, several times. Not once did he return my call. Shady dealers...I WANT MY MONEY!!! read more

My rental experience at Ind. East was great! I made a reservation online a few hours before I arrived at the location and only had to wait a few minutes while they finished helping other customers. The process was quick and simple and the rep was extremely pleasant. When it was my turn, I handed the rep my reservation, he asked for my credentials, keyed my information in, then asked which vehicle did I want. Even with a last minute reservation the day before a holiday (July 4th), I still had options to choose. I chose a 2015 Chrysler 200. Excellent choice by the way and the car was returned without incident or any hassle! I had also filled the car with more gas than required and when I mentioned it, the rep kindly stated that the extra amount would be returned with my deposit. Days later, I checked my account and it was there. Awesome! Other rental places usually say there is no gas refund but don't have a problem charging you double when you don't bring the vehicle back with the correct amount of gas in it.
