I had ordered a mid-size vehicle for two weeks.the first vehicle smelled of alcohol and I don't dront drink. ** They to clean it up and claim the had another vehicle, but it was the same vehicle with different tags on it. I got yelled at , by my older sister being accused of drinking and driving. Just being this vehicle for a short time smelled like a beer factory. ** If I was to be pull over by the Police , I could of gotten a ticket for DUI or put in jail. **** DO NOT TRUST this location, they lie thru there teeth just to make a deal. If you suspect you are getting a vehicle that smells of Alcohol that is not of your doing , the Call the Police ASAP ! This should be fraud. Also you can be falsely accused of wrong doing ! . If I could give them no stars I would. Avoid at all cost. They rent vehicles that have issues such as 3 different tires, no coolant fluid which could leave you stranded overheated car, and tires that won't hold pressure. Customers were constantly calling and yelling because they provided horrible customer service. All they said was " I'm sorry" instead of fixing the issues. read more

Was told a price and that a PENDING amount would be held on said card but in reality it was a FULL charge so now i have to WAIT for a refund-- something that was never explained nor disclosed. The men that work here, including the manager, are rude and misogynistic. They were too busy when I checked out to do their job so they didn't give me a contract, mark damage, or do anything except take my drivers license and credit card and hand me a key. After waiting an hour to get out of there I didn't ask questions. When I returned the manager of the store checked me in and reported damage to the vehicle. I only drive the car 3 miles and parked in. No highways no trees no accidents. They say there's dents... see there video. Now they processed claim to my insurance and claim I did the damage. I STILL don't have a contract or anything showing what the car looked like leaving versus checked in. The dents are only visible in the right light when you walk by the car the right way, and there are many more than the two that they're trying to charge me for. I requested to speak with the regional manager but they refused to give me a phone number. I emailed but no one responded. My car was in the body shop and the other drivers insurance paid for a rental for me. I only used it as a ride home from the shop, and now I'm on the hook for an additional claim to my insurance and whatever damage was on that car bc they didn't do their job right. What a nightmare. DO NOT GO HERE. I'm meeting with a lawyer today to sue, so comment here if you've been screwed by them well make it a class action. read more

I've rented cargo vans from this West Patrick Street location on several occasions, including a few weeks ago as I had to retrieve furniture from a friend who was moving out of state. When I called the day prior to my pick up to confirm my online reservation, I was told the cargo van I had reserved was not available. While my initial response was anger, the manager Tim ensured me he was working to correct the problem. He offered several alternatives based on what he had available, taking measurements to ensure my furniture would fit. When I came in to pick up my vehicle the next morning, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that not only had Tim located a cargo van, but he had driven the whole way to BWI to retrieve it the previous night. First off, this location has great customer service. Unfortunately the expectation of my mother and my rentals 3 weeks ago have been negative and just up to the normal Enterprise high standards we are use to in other locations. The exterior and vehicles of my vehicles was not clean, the vehicle had the gas meter slightly above empty. There was slim pickings of the vehicles so I took the vehicle. It took over 2 weeks to get a formal response from the Regional Manager / Corporate office that this was below their expectations. They have explained that they apologize but they hope I give them a second chance. Just wondering why I would pay a regular full daily rental price for a vehicle that is not clean inside out and with almost no gas when I go down the street to a car rental stop that will give me rental for a lower price and have a more than a 1/2 rank of gas. I have sent suggestions for ways this location can improve as I want this location to succeed and wish they raise to high standards. Not sure if it is a facilities issue, management issue or corporate issue but since moving to this location within the last year, it is not up to the high standards I am use to since renting from Enterprise for the last 10+ years . We rented a car from this location because my daughter was in a really bad at fault accident and her car was not drivable. Because we went thru insurance, the rep at Enterprise was aware it was an accident. My daughter had cuts on her face and hands and I am sure the Enterprise rep noticed it even though he didn't comment. I could tell by the manner in which he interacted with her and his tone that he had great empathy for her situation. We like the car we were given and it had a good amount of gas in the car which was a plus. The car was clean and the rep ensured my daughter was comfortable with the car and didn't have any additional questions. The customer service at this location is excellent--a few years ago, not so much, but now--they do a bang up job. Two MAJOR complaints to warn everyone about--first, this location (not all locations, but this location) has a sign on the front desk to show you the size of damage. Notice that hail damage is considered the driver's responsibility. This is ridiculous--no driver can actually be responsible for what mother nature does. Second, and I've rented MANY cars from many places including other Enterprise locations. This is the only location that gives you both keys on a sealed ring (you can't separate them) and then you sign a waiver saying you'll pay for replacing lost keys at $150 a pop. When I asked why they give me both keys to the car, they said it was in case you needed to share with another driver (I was the only driver) and the key ring is sealed-- you can't separate the keys. So, it sounds like they're hoping you'll lose the keys and will need to pay $300.00 to replace them. Watch out. It's a shame silly requirements like this ruin what is otherwise a very nice group of people. read more

I have been an Enterprise customer for several years now. I initially engaged them thru my employer but have used them quite frequently for any long drives or extended trips. I just moved to the area and had enjoyed a great personal as well professional relationship with the Enterprise in Germantown. I have twice utilized the Route 40 office and both times the experience was exceptional. It is a car rental service and the type of vehicle I want is not always available. What overcomes any disappointment is the service the personal in the office provide in those moments when as a customer my expectations are outside what is available. What keeps me coming back is their ability to work for a solution and try their best to make my experience a positive one.
