I have been an Enterprise customer for over 25 years and hold Platinum status, which I originally earned while living in my hometown of Manhattan before relocating to North Carolina in 2022. I rent vehicles weekly and rely on Enterprise regularly. I rented for about six months at the Monroe location and have now been renting from the Indian Trail location for the past three years. While renting in Monroe, I experienced extremely rude behavior from the branch manager, which became serious enough that I escalated the issue by emailing Enterprise executive leadership. The resolution at the time was to transfer my account to the Indian Trail branch. The current branch manager at the Indian Trail location actually came from the Monroe branch and has been professional and has tried to work with me. We have built a good rapport and he has made efforts to help when situations arise, especially since I rent weekly at a high rate. However, there have still been several frustrating issues. Recently, I was hospitalized with extremely high blood pressure (254/128) and the branch manager was aware of my BP situation. During that time the branch manager emailed me on Monday 3/2 and Tuesday 3/3, but I was in the hospital and unable to respond. I later learned that the area manager, Cody, instructed the branch to attempt to pick up the vehicle, however i was in the hopsital and wasnt aware. I only learned about the pickup attempt when I went into the branch on Friday 3/6 to rewrite my contract. I have paid faithfully for the past four years and have rented consistently without breaks in my contracts. I am a reliable weekly renter and a long-term customer, which you would think is exactly the kind of customer a company would want to retain. Unfortunately, I have received more dirty vehicles than clean ones over time from both branches. I usually arrive after work and it is often dark outside, it can be difficult to see interior stains when I first receive the vehicle. I pay on average about $325 per week for these rentals. While I understand that my current situation requires me to rent weekly for now, paying that amount and receiving vehicles that are dirty, unreliable, or poorly maintained is not acceptable. Enterprise expects customers to pay for their rentals, which I have done faithfully for years. However, they are receiving my money while I am sometimes placed in vehicles that are dirty, not well maintained, or simply not reliable. On one occasion I was even in a situation where a vehicle issue almost led to an accident. When I arrived at the Indian Trail branch around 5:40 PM on Friday after work, there were already several customers ahead of me while I waited to rewrite my contract. I was placed in a vehicle that appeared acceptable in the dark, but the next morning I realized the car was extremely dirty with visible stains throughout the interior. I had to clean the vehicle myself on Saturday. Paying for this in full is unacceptable. I also went to another Enterprise branch on Saturday(today) to get assistance connecting Apple CarPlay. The staff at that branch immediately noticed how dirty the vehicle was and commented on it. They were very helpful and assisted me with the CarPlay setup, and one of the employees even suggested that I consider doing business with their branch and provided me with his card. Enterprise has always been a company I trusted, which is why I have remained a customer for so many years. Given my long history with Enterprise and my Platinum status, I would welcome someone from Enterprise corporate or regional leadership reviewing this situation and contacting me so it can be addressed appropriately. As a Platinum member and a customer of more than 25 years who rents weekly and spends thousands of dollars annually with Enterprise, I hope the company will review this situation carefully because I would prefer to remain a loyal customer if these concerns can be addressed. read more

What started off as a bad experience at the Kannapolis Enterprise was resolved at Indian Trail Enterprise. I believe the young man's name was Eric who helped us. He had great customer service skills. He was very patient with me because I was upset. There had been a miscommunication between someone I talked with at corporate (Mike) and the local locations. We only needed the car for a few hours and the young man at Indian Trail made sure we got it. My husband and I were able to rent the car we needed and returned it the same day. I am so thankful for the young man who helped us. He made our day and saved the reputation of Enterprise. read more

Hi Enterprise Manager. Thanks for the reply but I won't spend any more time helping to fix the company's issues. This review only contained recent problems but there have been many more over the past two years. If you would like, please leave your contact phone information and I will be happy to speak to you briefly. I just won't go back. The people were nice and the car was ok but the service was exceedingly slow, they have lost cars I returned and tried to bill me for them and when I call to to try to resolve issue, I am on hold for 30 minutes plus. The big disconnect is the hold recording that repeats ever 10 seconds with boating about how great enterprise is. If this were the first issue, I'd give them another chance but this is the 4th. There are much better options and I'd recommend exploring those over taking a chance here. read more

I rent very often and this location (13711 E Independence Blvd) has always gone above and beyond for me. I actually receive a discount through my employer for AVIS and went to them first. The AVIS I went to felt like an empty sketchy basement. I had to knock on the glass to get someone to come unlock the door during business hours, and they ran some sort of credit check on me and denied me service. I then tried Enterprise and they have been wonderful and accommodating. They go above and beyond every single time. I am able to use credit or debit, they pick me up anytime I need, and when they don't have the specific class of car I reserved I get something upgraded. Also, since I rent so often, I earn points on the Enterprise app that always get me a free day or 2 for the next time. It has turned out to be a better savings than my Avis discount anyway. 5 stars, I appreciate you guys! read more

Trust me when I say you won't get your rental car here. They'll take a reservation and promise up and down they'll have a car for you, then there's no car. Tomorrow, they swear tomorrow, you just booked too late in the day. Tomorrow comes, nope, sorry, we're trying to get cars in but none have been returned yet and we don't know if any will come in, we'll call you if we get any cars. What is this alternate universe? They need to close down, this costs people time and money when they take reservations and have no intention of renting out a car. read more

Tried to rent a pickup truck from this location thru an insurance carrier for an accident their insured caused to my truck. Can't rent a truck from them without a credit card, so they can bill $50 on it,even when it's being rented on your behalf by a major insurance company. Terrible customer service here and terrible company policy. I will never rent from this un-customer friendly company. read more

I still can't believe that sending the confirmation of the reserved vehicle, picking up the vehicle dropping it off, and sending the receipt was such an easy process. I won't go anywhere else. I had the best experience that I have ever had with Enterprise, here at this location. It was even a very busy Monday, both Andrew and Dante were absolutely exceptional. If I'm not mistaking, they were the only two working as well. They both were extremely friendly and very hard-working. In the 20 minutes it took me from walking in the door to getting my rental car, I saw four or five others being taken care of as well.. Thats 6 customers in only 30 minutes who's needs were beyond met!!! Once I got my rental car, I needed help being picked up from the body shop. I was hesitant to ask because I saw how busy they were and it was 5 o'clock (so the traffic was of course crazy as always).. I checked and to order an Uber it would have costed me $29 (for a 12 minute trip back to Enterprise) Andrew who had finalized my rental, then went back inside to find a way to help me come back to my rental car.. it only took a couple minutes for him to come back out and say that he would just help me himself!! I have been renting cars from this location for several years and I have never had a bad customer experience there. In fact, most of the time it's been really good. I'm not sure why the one star reviews but I keep coming back each time and have never considered going elsewhere. On my recent rental last week (early November 2021), Trey the manager did a particularly great job. He communicated promptly and effectively and had a really nice, empathic personality. read more

On to GR: First, would like to know why agencies in different states do not require you to have a utility bill, yet NC does. Second - Will NEVER deal with this location again although we have rented multiple times from this location in the past. Dealt with Chrissy who states she is one of the managers at this location. She argues about the reservation process not reflecting actual inventory. Tells us to take a truck, all she has, but locates a compact vehicle after I decline the truck; never offered until I ask for size specifically. She then becomes argumentative over the issue that we needed utility bill after being informed by representatives last two transactions we do NOT need these items to rent a vehicle. Rental at this location was $110 avg for standard but at Matthews location only $65. After stating she would probably not have a vehicle - remember it's all she has as far as cars - when we come back due to steady business this morning, Chrissy would not offer to reserve the vehicle or hold it for us to run back home, returning with documents. This manager acted more like an agent with excuses, never assuming ownership and also never utilizing customer service skills with trying to make the situation better. In fact, we had asked for reps name who assisted us last transaction at the location multiple times but upon leaving she states the person no longer works there; never offering name. She doesn't state who she is until I state we will call back and speak to the manager because we didn't agree with how it was handled. She then states I am one of the managers. SHE DIDN'T ACT LIKE IT? I am a former RSM, multiple locations. I have seen her attitude and I can honestly say it's because we didn't agree with her to make it easy on her. Well, we didn't make it hard but wanted what we had agreed upon. We wanted the product and service we have received previously. I can honestly say we left feeling disgusted and targeted because we expect more, not less! She didn't try to fix anything, improve our interaction AT ALL and that's why I state she didn't act like a manager! We will NEVER go back to that location and suggest you call the Matthews location if you need service. You'll receive a rep who at least tries to make you happy, help you and wants your business; not like you are on someone else's time - Chrissy's! Leave them alone! read more

The representative was at the collision garage on time, both cars were clean and reliable, and someone followed up with me both times to ask if I was pleased. Much like most of the reviews here, I'll agree, you'll make a reservation but you won't get your car. I reserved my car online through my account. Went to pick it up and was told it would be at least 2 days before they could have an SUV for me and that if I wanted a specific type of car that I should book 7-14 days in advance. I explained that was not possible as cars break down without notice, hence why I needed a vehicle. In addition it was after 5pm at that point so I asked why wasn't I informed first thing in the morning (they had my contact info). The "manager," and I use that term loosely, decided to talk down to me, and with all the audacity in the world, tell me I was never getting a car from him. He really thought he did something too. Dude, I just moved on down the street to a different location that had gentlemen working there who got me into a vehicle, at a better price, and without the attitude. read more

This company is horrible. I will NEVER use Enterprise again and I have been a customer since the 90's. This is how they treat long-time customers: For the third time in a year, they stood me up for a car that I reserved. Specifically, it is the Enterprise location at 13711 East Independence Blvd. in Indian Trail, NC. I could have lost a huge account this time because I had no large vehicle to use to drive out of town for a business meeting (my car wouldn't hold everything I needed to take with me). This time, I reserved a vehicle on April 8th for an April 27th rental. That's almost 3 weeks ahead of time!!!!! I wanted to be sure I gave them plenty of time to hold a car for me. I got a confirmation email on April 8th and then only 2 days before I was set to leave, on April 25th, I got another email stating "We'll see you soon" (a reminder email). On the day I was to get the rental, I was called on my cell phone a mere 25 minutes before I was ready to leave to get the car and was told they had no vehicle for me. I had to travel to WVA from south Charlotte to meet with a client and now, in the eleventh hour, I'm told by their employees that they actually DIDN'T have a car for me?! That's insane!!!! What the hell was the reservation for? Why did they confirm it? Why did they send me a reminder email 2 days before? Their explanation? "We have priority for our insurance customers before you". I have been a life-long customer, but no more. I am now using AVIS. Reminds me of the old Seinfeld episode about a car rental company which didn't know how to keep a reservation. We live in the Indian Trail area. Indian Trail, NC Enterprise location is our go to place for rentals! This location is has always been very accommodating with Very Clean cars. We have needed their services on and off over the past few years. The employees there have ALWAYS gone above and beyond!! We had a situation this year where we were out of commission with a car for two weeks (we thought it would only be a few days) and they extended the reservation and kept giving us a better rate. I am getting to rent again and I saw the bad reviews. I realized I needed to share our awesome experience with this location. We have had unclean cars from other rental places, but never Enterprise. read more

Filthy vehicle that sounded like it was on its last leg with 40,000 miles on it. When we received the SUV it was full of animal hair and was dirty overall. My husband had to catch an Uber just to pickup the vehicle as they didnt offer the pickup service. Management needs to look into this location and retrain staff members. folks avoid this Enterprise with out hesitation ..they will and have drummed up false truths about cars having damage ...that was not your fault ...they will bring every rental nightmare to reality... their procedure will be to state " WELL THERE IS SOME MINOR DAMAGE but were not concerned about that" ..while doing a walk around with you .. when you pick the car up .. but then when you return it they will write on the contract you were the one that damaged it ,and pursue your insurance company as if that was not enough for me to say avoid them ..realize also the cars are filthy at pick up and ours smelt like alcohol & cigarettes the service light was on ..and the staff were very arrogant and rude we are fighting these lies and had to cll a policeman to get the name of the one that checked the car out they sent him home and would not give. I am reviewing the Enterprise at 13711 E. Independence Blvd. I am sad to see old ratings so I wanted to post one from this week. In a crazy COVID world with no one wanting to work, the Manager at this location is a rockstar--Richard Stoner, "Trey" and his two co-workers couldn't have been more helpful. Normally, they have FIVE people working the front office and there are only two of them in front and one running/cleaning out cars. That being said, they were so nice and calm and helpful. I have rented from Europe to all over the continentAl USA this group of unprofessionals is trying to rip Geico off. Accused us of damaging car from front to back with dents. I Called the police department and made a report. I was contacted by a generated response as seen below - I have responded and will advise an update here and all other platforms. This continues to get worse. They asked me to put a $50 hold on a card and they sent through a charge for $100 although GEICO states we do not owe and they advised we did not owe anything. I have responded to these auto replies but no one responds back by email or phone. Will continue to update and add to other sites shortly. No one from Enterprise has responded to my emails and GEICO just informed that Enterprise placed a claim against our policy. read more

I had to use their rental service, because they're connected with the Chrysler Dealership, when it comes to getting your car serviced. So I used the rental car for the day and decided to go golfing. It was time to return the vehicle that same day, but I left my golf club set in the back of the trunk. A few weeks went by, when I realized that I didn't have my golf clubs. We called them up to see if they had seen them, the guy on the phone said that he seen some floating around. But he didn't know where they could have put them, because he doesn't normally work at that facility. We called the next day and low and behold the manager told us that she had not seen any at all. The crazy part is, they called to ask me how the service was, knowing they had my clubs and could've been honest and said I forgot them in the trunk of the car. This place has know integrity and are dishonest, when it comes to customer service. I would never use their service and will just take my vehicle to another Chrysler facility so I can avoid them at all costs. read more

On April 2nd I arrived to pick up a rental car while my car was in the shop for repairs. The staff was friendly and I asked the lady Christy what type of car I would be getting and she advised me a sedan. That was all I needed. She then went outside to bring a car around and it was bright orange and a Jeep. I went out we walked around the car looking for damage and there was no exterior damage. We then entered the car and I noticed an obnoxious smell but did not say anything because I was in a hurry to get to work. Christy showed me where the lights were and I asked her if I should return it with a full tank and she said "no" just with the same amount it currently had in it. It was at a little less than 1/4 of a tank. Crazy, who rents a car and has to go immediately to the gas station? The interior has stains on the seats which were not noticeable while we were sitting on them. Christy said no dogs and no smoking, however the back seat was full of dog hair and the windows on the passenger side look like someone or something had its nose on it. Filthy car inside. The front windshield is scratched or full of sap that won't clean off with the wipers. Water bottles rolled out from under the seat, half drunk. I am still driving this vehicle because my car is in the shop. I would never use this Enterprise again and they should be ashamed of the condition of this vehicle. Perhaps I was given the bottom of the barrel because it is being paid for by an insurance company, but I intend to let the insurance company know as well. read more

I rented a car twice in the past month, and had a bad experience each time. For the first one, I scheduled to be picked up at 7 AM the day before, and they still forgot me. I had to call them at 7:05, and they claimed there was no scheduling for a picked up, then said, oh, we have it here. They got me at 7:45! I went to rent again, and I had a coupon for "Weekend Rates", and NO LOCATION IN MY ENTIRE METROPOLITAN AREA HAD ANY CARS AVAILABLE!! Please do not advertise for special rates when there is no inventory in the entire area. I do not appreciate the bate and switch advertising! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Really great guys! A small operation with only two guys in the office but when I called looking for a cheap car to rent for the day, they didn't blow me off because they didn't have a car that suited me. They referred me to another location. I also dropped my rental off there because it's closer to my mechanic. The place might be a little "tucked away" but that means less traffic and less hassle getting in and out of there. These are my "go to" guys if I ever have to rent a car again. read more
