After an emergency with my vehicle, I booked a vehicle online and even spoke with the Enterprise agent online to schedule a pick up. 45 minutes later and 15 minutes before I am scheduled to be picked up, I get a call that they have no vehicles available and nothing to offer me on a Saturday afternoon. We call back the people who helped with scheduling and told them what happened and then they say you have to schedule pick up 2 hours ahead of time and then tried to schedule another rental with this same location that said they had no vehicles for me. Horrible communication and experience. read more

The people are pretty nice here but their timing and planning could use some serious work. We always have to pick up a rental at 730 when they open so my husband can get to work. I used to work at enterprise so I understand you have to run your fleet tight and you have to wing it most of the time, hoping you get in what you need. But for these opening reservations, you see that they are there the day before... you HAVE to have those cars ready to go. They usually either don't have the size we reserved, don't have it ready, etc. not having it ready is no excuse at all. You get in early that morning and clean it up before we get here or you clean it and have it ready the night before. It's not that hard to look at the rentals you have the next day to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction. read more

I had fantastic service with everyone that I have worked with here. I had a vehicle that touch screen didn't work and I let them know about it and we just couldn't make it work to have it switched out before my rental was up so they gave me a day off my rental. Zero customer service! This Location is nothing like the Jax beach location where the staff are friendly, upbeat and helpful. I'm a traveling healthcare worker. I rent cars throughout my assignments to minimize the wear and tear on my car. I used the Jax beach location my 2 pervious rentals with a promo code from the college I graduated from. Upon waking in to Southside location the guy was so happy to tell me I couldn't use the code, it was literally the 1st thing he said to me. So no biggie I asked what kind of rate he could offer me because I'm not military and don't have AAA, all he said was "today's rate" which was over double my original price, and no car upgrade nothing! We go out to look at the car, it's scratched down the rear quarter panel on both sides close to 6inches long so I pointed them out, along with the chip in the windshield and the dent on the drivers side door. He was still very rude & dry and said yeah ma'am that's wear and tear. Hands me the keys says "get in turn it on!"! I turn it on to which he looks in and says "it's on full so make sure you return it that way!" Seriously unbelievable to talk to customers that way especially 1 you just doubled the price on! if I wasn't having my car serviced and didn't have to get on the road back to work 3hrs away from Jax that night I wouldn't have rented. But I will never rent from this location again. Do yourself a favor and go to the Jax beach location, or better yet just use Budget in Baymeadows. read more

I've been using enterprise for many years. Now you can't even take a 3 day trip without having to rent a car for a whole week. I know it's not this locations fault it's Enterprise in total. I've rented luxury cars every time I've rented but I refuse to have to pay nearly $1000 for 3 days of use. Bad move Enterprise and no, I do NOT want to rent a compact. read more

GREAT customer service from Michael,Leanna & Victoria especially. If you're looking for a fancy office this place is real simple,but best customer service ever. Everyone had a smile,friendly attitude & worked well together. I called & spoke to Michael, he arranged for Leanne to pick me up & she was on time & gave me some good restaurant & shopping places to go to. When I arrived they had run out of cars but put me in a van & switched me to a vehicle the next day. The vehicles were clean & had gas in them.....thank you! I've been renting vehicles from this Enterprise location when I'm in Jacksonville visiting my parents. From this past April through December, I was in and out multiple times helping them move house and then renovating and preparing their house for sale. It sounds like a paid review to say that my experience with this Enterprise location has been perfect, that there have been no snags whatsoever, that everyone whom I encounter here whether on the phone or in person has been polite and professional and friendly and efficient - but it's true and no compensation in the least given for writing it. I've had to extend rentals numerous times because of delays with vendors and having to change flights to later dates - they are always very kind about it. There is never a feeling of being ambushed with hidden damage that one might not see on a quick walkaround but then is magically revealed when the vehicle is returned, like happens at some companies. They call the day before to confirm the rental and pickup time and were even able to get me a vehicle earlier than expected on my last trip because I caught an earlier flight into Jax from Atlanta. And, I had to return a vehicle before a flight on Thanksgiving morning and they let me return it to the airport location with no drop charge because their location was closed that day. Maybe this is standard procedure for all companies or maybe it's just an Enterprise policy or maybe just this branch - but it was exceptional customer care. It made a huge difference for me because I was able to keep the vehicle past their 6pm closing time on Wednesday night to finish some things to prepare my parents' house for sale - I could stay at the house late into the night and then drive to the airport the next morning - instead of having to pay for an extra day or drop the vehicle in the lot after closing on Wednesday night or Thursday morning and take my chances that no damage would happen between then and when they arrived on Friday to check it in for me. This is my rental company and branch - I trust them - thanks to all of you for making renting a vehicle so smooth for me and for making it a pleasure and not a risk. Edited to add - I agree 100% with the reviewer below that if it's an early rental, it needs to be ready to go on time for sure - whether getting the vehicle ready the night before or coming in early to get it ready - so far I've been lucky that I've never been in a time crunch where I had to have a certain type of vehicle at a certain time. read more

Enterprise teams at every location are always friendly, fast and customer service oriented. I rent cars all the time for work and I can always count on a clean car that is ready at my scheduled time. The team at this Southside location is amazing. I only rent cars from Enterprise wherever I am in the country and the team at this Jacksonville location is the reason I use this particular one. And I have about 3 locations that are close to my home. Kudos to Enterprise for always making my travel easy and convenient. read more

Do not, I repeat do not go to this location. I inquired about a vehicle, I went through the whole process online and reserved a vehicle. I received a call from one of the employee there in which she did have no clue how to proceed any further. I asked for a specific vehicle in mind, I tested her by asking some random questions and all she did was kept saying yes even though the answers were not true at all. She then put me on hold for about 15 minutes waiting for a "manager". The manager was the worst she told me she would give me the vehicle I wanted, she said she did have the vehicle in stock and I could come get it. I get a call five minutes later saying the vehicle is not at the location and she has to search for it. She then proceeds to say she will call me again in a few hours. A few hours passed and never received a call, as I wait this throws my whole day off because I needed a truck in order to get a move going. I call the location again and they say they have no recollection of me reserving a vehicle there, even though I have all the e-mails and the calls on my phone. I literally waited 9+ hours in hopes of getting the vehicle I wanted in particular a truck because I needed a heavy duty vehicle for my move. Avoid this location and their non educated employees. read more

After being involved in an auto accident, I had to get a long term rental while my car was being repaired. The only vehicle available was a truck. Brandon called another branch and arranged for me to be able to get another vehicle. He then called me and gave me all the information I needed to get a vehicle better suited for me. Great job! I had the worst experience there this weekend. I have rented multiple times for multiple weeks within the past two months but this time I was denied a rental based on a mistake made by the previous employee that rented because I have an out of state license. However, this was not an issue before when I paid them for several weeks of car use. The assistant manager, Victoria threatened to have me arrested not because I was physically threatening, irate, or aggressive but because I had questions about why I was now being inconvenienced as I had already made out of town plans. Arrest threat for being inquisitive for a MAJOR inconvenience and possibly because of my skin. ( Hate to say it but non-minorities were helped above and beyond.) Saw this with my own eyes. She pretty much shrugged her shoulders and said " Well, we are now closed so oh well." Horrible management. I sent a formal email to their lead manager. She has yet to respond. Don't rent here if you are looking for good service and accountability. read more
