Jay was really helpful and told me right away the 15 passenger van was the next bigger vehicle and probably the best for my needs. I was ready to book through him but he said he would have to charge me a walk-in rate, which is apparently more expensive than booking online. This office is also closed on Sundays and he said I can return the van at another nearby office in Signal Hill that's open on Sundays. So helpful! Booking online was super easy. The staff were also really nice and helpful when I picked up the van. Daniel walked me to the van, he took some pictures and told me it just needs to be returned with 3/4 tank of gas, which is what it had. The van was clean and in good condition. He said, "You' may be small, but I have faith in you driving this!" LOL! It was awkward and a bit nerve racking driving it at first, but got used to it pretty quickly. Great visibility being higher up and with big windows. It's also really smooth and good on gas! It got us through the desert and was perfect for us for the week we needed it.

There were a couple cars available for me to choose between, he was patient and allowed me to sit in each car to see which I was comfortable in. Bryan was so patient. He even stated that at any time I was struggling with the car size I could exchange in for another within the same class, he wanted me to be comfortable. I had to call the office a few times with questions. I spoke with Umi who was so helpful and polite, very knowledgeable as was Bryan. Umi, took the time to call me and let me.know my rental had been extended to ease my mind while I shopped for another car. This office goes above and beyond to care for their customers. I used to be a Hertz customer but Bryan & Umi converted me into an Enterprise customer. Thank you both for everything. Yall made a stressful situation more bearable.

I recently reserved a car rental on a Sunday which is a day when they are either low on cars or have no cars available at all. When staff member Steven saw my name on the reservation list he immediately set aside a nice car for me to ensure that I would have one available for my Sunday rental. In addition, he always assist me in connecting my cell phone to the bluetooth in the rental car so I can be able to play travel music from my cell phone. Steven always goes above and beyond his duties whenever he serves me which is the main reason I have been renting from that location for the past 10 years.

I only had the car for 8 hours and went 19 mi. I returned the car full of gas. The e-receipt I received from the company headquarters charged me $24 extra for gas. But when I walked back up to the window where I actually rented the car, it was open the next day, they only charged me $26. After waiting on hold for 27 minutes I spoke with the customer service agent. Very typical abysmal rental car company customer service, that agent swore up and down I was only charged $26. He said I must go to the location where I rented the car. The location person said I must call customer service. Incidentally, the customer service person only understood about 1/3 of what I said on the phone.

Located in the heart of downtown Long Beach, this Budget/Avis office is located on the ground floor…read moreof a non-descript office building that has an attached parking garage. My family needed an extra car for 4 days to drive all the out of town family that was coming in for our daughter's wedding. They have normal office hours (8 - 5 weekdays, 9 - 2 on weekends), and have only person manning the counter. All the cars are located on the 4th floor of the parking garage, the same place for pickup and return. I chose this location because I am able to walk back to our condo, thus not requiring another car to pick up/drop off. Also, it appeared as a choice via the Costco travel website, AND didn't require prepayment whereas other sites do. I chose the economy option (Kia Soul or similar)...for this location, there aren't many options for cars so got a Chevy Malibu (Full-size) instead. Sulaimain was who I dealt with, and he explained that there is no guarantee of any car even with a reservation. I showed him my license, and he did an authorization on my credit card for $200 over the quoted price. I picked the car up by myself on the 4th floor. Four days later, I returned the car to the same spot...this time there were NO cars on the 4th floor. I took pictures of the outside of the car to document no damage, and a picture of dash to show mileage and gas full. I then went downstairs to the office, where I interacted with Sulaimain again. He knew why I had needed the car, so asked me how my weekend went. I told him and I enjoyed our back and forth. He gave me the paperwork indicating my return on-time, and about a day later, I got an electronic invoice directly from Budget. The rental charge was exactly what I was quoted ($162.86). Having not to pay the airport surcharges makes a big difference in keeping rental car charges down, especially for longer rentals.
