I returned the vehicle exactly as instructed. My expected rental charge was approximately $568. Instead, my credit card was charged $1,143.62--more than double the amount I agreed to pay. After discovering the overcharge, I called the branch multiple times and could not get anyone to answer the phone. I then visited the location in person and was told that other customers had experienced similar issues and that management was handling the matter. Despite being promised a follow-up, weeks have passed and I have received no call, email, explanation, or resolution. The most disappointing part has been the complete lack of communication and customer service. Mistakes happen, but ignoring customers who are trying to resolve billing issues is unacceptable. I hope Enterprise will correct these unauthorized charges and improve how customer concerns are handled moving forward.

In the end, the manager did the right thing, but next time, I will either rent from the Peachtree Industrial location (who seem much more competent or willing to work with customers), or go to the Hertz on Holcomb Bridge Road.

After much coordination with insurance and finally getting resolved, Piper jumped in and then said we had to personally pay the deductible, not insurance. Asked why her assistant never mentioned it "I'll have a talk with him, but I told your family this after the accident... (when they were badly injured)." Piper suggested she signs her own checks, so I guess it's her policy since she has no boss? But magically, even with so much power to sign her own checks, she couldn't do anything to right the wrong of her own staff misinforming us of what it would take to get a replacement vehicle.

I was upset, but the manager told me that he could upgrade me, but I would have to pay $186.00 more, no other option. Avis's policy in that situation is to provide the upgrade at no additional cost. Left with no option, I paid the $186.00 more with family waiting. On drop off a week later, I overheard a customer faced with the same situation with no other option other than to pay upgrade. The manager walked away as she cited Avis's policy. Not a coincidence her report confirmed problems at the location. As a lawyer, I did not think this was a coincidence. It's a great location because you are in and out fairly quickly. For my visit rental, I reserved a compact car and ended up with a full size because they didn't have any compacts in the inventory. I had the car for a week. I reserved a compact car for the second rental thinking maybe I'd get a full size again. Well, they appear to have acquired a compact car to add to their fleet. I ended up with a Mazda 2. I started off renting the vehicle for one week because I wasn't sure how long my car would be in the shop. Two extensions later, my car was finally fully repaired. I simply called the main number to extend the rental both times. I was quoted a final rate over the phone, but the location ended up charging me a lower rate since I had the vehicle for two full weeks. Yay for voluntarily saving me money!

I shouted to see if anyone was in the back, called Avis national, Avis customer service, the location's phone number, the manager's phone number (which was just the generic line again), and emailed the manager. The guy then pops out from the back closet all of a sudden without any apology and says "it happens". Still never admitted fault. Don't rent from this location and absolute screw from Avis today on New Year's Eve.
