    Honestly great experience! I just walked in without a reservation on a busy day, but an employee was able to put me in a rental within minutes and work with me on a price! The car was brand new, clean and shiny, top trim and really delightful! When during the time of my rental I looked my keys inside the vehicle I called enterprise and roadside assistance showed up 15 minutes later, unbelievable efficiency! And when I returned the vehicle early the price was adjusted accordingly - no fees or charges on top, return process took 2 minutes!

    This Enterprise office is not a full service car rental facility, but can get you a car quickly if you live in the area and don't want to go to O'Hare. It is located at the awkward intersection of Busse and Oakton in Park Ridge. You can only really enter through the south side of the shop, so you may need to loop around. There is a small parking lot and it is tricky to find parking in the winter since snow banks populate multiple spots. The actual office is pretty small and they have a little garage to vacuum out cars. Don't expect a fully gassed up vehicle - the three times we have rented there it was always less than a full tank. They can get your in and out pretty quickly. One drawback is there is a very limited selection since this isn't a major pickup facility. My wife lucked out on her last rental and got a Suburban (she had a similar vehicle in the shop for insurance repairs). The staff has been a little unprofessional in our dealings here. They have a sort of indifferent attitude, but I assume that is because there is little oversight at this location. I will use this place again if needed, but most of my rentals are through Hertz.

They have a sales arm maybe? I'm not sure; there are two driveways for Hertz. I was coming from the south along Mannheim so I pulled into the one that I saw, since there was big Hertz signage and whatnot there. But when I went in the guy told me to go to the next driveway, as that was the car rental section. (To be clear, this first stop was also part of Hertz, just not where one goes to pick up a rental.) Anyway, this whole thing was not very clear at all (especially since, at the first place I stopped, there was a big sign that said car rental right outside the door). I had to return it a day early and there was no discount. Possibly because I had rented it as a week-long rental and extended it for the same period. Would be nice if they'd given me something back but oh well. They charge something like $15 per day if you get their toll road coverage, so either make sure you avoid toll roads or sign up for the Pay by Plate option using the Illinois Tollway app.

If you want to rent a Tesla from Hertz now after a flight, you have to find your own way 15 minutes (aka take an Uber [blk] as there is no shuttle, and go through the process in person. When it was at O'Hare it was so nice...Find your name on the screen, get in your car and go if you prepay---as I always do. Welps, when I went to retrieve my prepaid reservation, they asked for the card I used to make the reservation. I left most cards back in LA so didn't have it on me and they refused to help me further. It was bizzare on a prepaid reservation. I asked if they could just cancel it then and rebook as I can pay with some card I have on me instead. Nope. And it was weird because the guy working gave zero solutions. So...I sat on the chair in front of him and called Hertz support. They changed the credit card on the reservation to one I had with me in my possession so...I was then able to get my car. The initial guy working just looked at me blankly most of the time and was so out of it. Thankfully a second person came and was able to assist me after I hung up with Hertz support. Very strange process. Everything with my rental was fine. The car needed some serious repairs --- I've never been in a squeeky Tesla before! But it ran great for my few weeks so it got the job done. I don't know what a good rental price is but I was fine with the price I paid. I think I had the car 16 days and paid just under $500 so seemed fine to me. When I returned the car, same blank stare guy was working. He blankly stared at me as I walked in. He's terrible. Again, thankfully, another person was working and was so fast, friendly and helpful. So...Hertz has good deals but the Tesla situation makes no sense for travellers. I won't be renting from Hertz again if Teslas aren't at O'Hare. This Hertz location is really bad because of the bad support, a differentiating factor from other locations in the worst way possible.

I finally made my pick based solely on price. After all, what difference could it make if they were all horrible? I might as well get the best rate, and Advantage had it. I armed myself with other customer warnings about what to look for and hoped for the best. What I found was not what I was expecting. Firstly, there is only one shuttle bus for all the rental car companies and it takes you directly to the rental car center. It was waiting at the curb when we walked out of the terminal. No wait at all! Unlike a lot of the negative reviews posted, the bus driver was more than happy to help us load our luggage onto the bus. When we got there at 7:00pm on a Sat. we found NO LINE at the Advantage counter. Only one customer who was just finishing up, and we were next. There was no particular hard sell to try to get us to buy extra features like the toll package, extra insurance, and the full tank payment allowing you to return the car on Empty. My research had shown that they were all unnecessary for us, so when they were offered we declined them and that was that. We knew to avoid the Toll Roads and always found alternate routes to avoid the transponder charges. The car we had reserved was no longer available, and Sheree the counter clerk nicely offered us an upgraded car for a little more money. When we declined she gave it to us anyway for no extra charge as she could see we had a lot of luggage and she was worried the smaller cars that were available might not have enough space for it all. When we got to the pickup area at first we were confused as to where the car was located in the garage. When Crystal, who worked in the office there, pointed it out to us we were concerned that it was a long way to walk with all our luggage. She ran and got us a cart and after we loaded it up she even helped us push it over to the car. Since she was by our car she made one more visual inspection before we left, and holding the inspection sheet in her hand, she noted a rip on the passenger seat that hadn't been noted before. We thanked her. Before we said goodbye she also gave us specific directions as to which way to go to get to our hotel once we got out to the street. She was very kind and helpful. The car itself was great... clean & in good running order the entire 11 days we used it. When we returned to the car rental center we found the drop off area for Advantage easily. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who told us we were free to go, but when he saw all our luggage he got us a cart and even helped us wheel it all the way out to the waiting shuttle buses on the second level. He then helped us find the right bus for our airline's terminal. I would use Advantage again without hesitation. I'm not sure what happened to all the others who had horror stories to tell, and I'm not saying their stories are untrue. I'm sorry for their misadventures, but we had a great experience! In my opinion if you arm yourself with knowledge about the places YOU can be taken advantage of, you can and should take advantage of Advantage.

I booked a car at Priceline with $141, My flight was deyed so I was delayed around one hour by the time I was at the counter. I was told the car I booked not available anymore and I need to pay $400 for a similar replacement. People in front of me, during my converstaion with the staff, and people came after me, NO ONE got what they booked, everyone was very upset. The staff attitude were very bad, badically "take it or leave it!" From what i experienced and observed, I believe it was NOT acidental but a well planed setup, So NEVER EVER use Advantage!!!!!!

But for this trip, I had some long drives that would have been cost prohibitive with rideshare, so I bit the bullet. I was most happy with the check-in process. I was able to do most of it online, so the pick-up at airport was fast and easy. Most importantly, they didn't try to scare me into buying unnecessary insurance or TollPass transponders. The rep showed me how to pay my tolls by plate online, and never mentioned any extras. Thank you! I had selected the premium car category, and I had the choice between an Audi S5, Alfa Romeo Giulia, and Hyundai Genesis. I picked the Audi and it was clean, well equipped , and in good condition. Apple CarPlay worked great, which basically covers everything these days - maps, radio, bluetooth calling, etc. Drop off was just as fast, and the rental car area is a short tram ride away from the Terminals. Overall easy peasy and price was competitive. I'd rent from them again, which I can't say about most of my car rental experiences.

Even so, I was later billed over $600, had to dispute it, and the charge was eventually refunded. After that, I was contacted again about the same balance, saw another charge appear, and even received a letter saying I needed to pay or risk being banned from renting with Enterprise. Escalations then told me they could not see the charge and said I should dispute it with my bank. Very stressful and disappointing experience.

Luckily I had just passed a fuel station, turned around, got fuel. Now turning it back in with only a portion of my fuel used. They are getting it back full compared to how I rented it. Lulu from Budget advised if I get it empty bring it back empty. But that can't happen because I didn't use it much. This is the second issue I've had with Budget. They are the same company as AVIS . Same owners. So why ????
