Do not rent for this location. Northern NJ Enterprise locations have a F rating on the BBB. Your reservation has little meaning here. I learned why the hard way. I rented a car for a week during the holidays. When I arrived at the lot, I was in for a rude awakening. Turns out my reservation was cancelled and the car was instead given to another customer. Enterprise didn't feel the need to notify me so I could make alternate arrangements. I wasn't the only person at this location who ran into issues. Another gentleman had been waiting for quite a long time while Enterprise shuffled cars between locations. Ironically, I received more help from this fellow customer than I did from anyone at Enterprise. The front desk agent told me that I should have received a confirmation call. When I showed him on my phone that I had not received any phone calls from Enterprise during the previous night, he back backpedaled to blaming corporate for the lack of communication about the cancellation of my reservation. No attempt to help or accept any responsibility for what occurred. EDIT: I've already reached out to Enterprise corporate before posting this review. They would not do anything. I rent quite often from this location. Mike, Aaron & Madison are great to work with. They're all kind, polite and love what they do. Never encountered an issue when renting vehicles from here. A lot of the time they'll comp upgrade me to a nicer vehicle at no cost to me at all which is always nice. I have family that actually prefers renting from here rather than a closer branch to their home. If I can give 6 stars to this team I would right away! They deserve it. Unfortunately after several positive experiences with enterprise was disappointed that when I brought my car back to a different dealer I was told I was Being charged for paint damage on the kick plate that was present on car when I rented it but was not documented by Jake who works there. His prep guy did not show up that morning and he rushed through the check out ... When I pointed to some of the chipped paint he remarked "Oh don't worry about that" I informed enterprise that I would not be paying for the pre-existing damage and their response was to send me to collections while it is not cost effective I have retained an attorney ..I rather pay them the 700 dollars than pay for damage I am not responsible for... Take heed always photo the car with your smart phone in front of the dealer! And again on return. This is unfortunate ... I used to be a fan. #######%%%%% UPDATE... My company rented me a car through enterprise . What a mistake !!!!! I was thrown from the Lyndhurst location and this WALLINGTON location. They both did not have car that was booked nor cared to inform me or the company . I Waite for over an hour to be picked up only to tell me that they do not have a full size vehicle. I was told the would bring me a car by 7 and switch it out . No call or nothing and I called Saturday morning to be put on hold and they would call me back. I ALWAYS DID NOT LIKE THESE 2 LOCATIONS. IF YOU HAVE TO USE ENTERPRISE GO TO THE LODI LOCATION ON ROUTE 46. They are professional and know what customer service means. read more

First of all, they are cheaper than the other rentals in the area. Another rental car quoted me $100 more and couldnt pick me up. But the most important part is their service. I was treated very well and everyone was polite from beginning to end. Krista was extremely nice. She picked me up and drove me back after. I had to extend my rental period and Andrew helped with my rental issues. I am completely comfortable recommending wallington enterprise to my friends and relatives. They are not the same enterprise you experience in airport locations. When I visited I saw a repeat customer who already knew Andrew like they were buddies. Repeat customers are a good sign and I will sure be one of them. They are what a car rental company should be! read more

As an update to my prior review. It was rectified by the manager of this location and I got a letter from the corporate office after MUCH time spent dealing with my insurance company and enterprise corp. Interestingly enough I rented from the passaic location this week and they said they do not even look under the vehicle because customers are not responsible for that. That was the whole issue at this location. Bring a dolly and get under the car for this location. Or go to passaic to not deal with that. Bring a camera and take videos and pictures. read more

Update 3 yrs later: (reposting because the recent racial discrimination at the Starbucks in Philadelphia was too parallel a situation to what I experienced at this Enterprise location 3yrs ago October 2015) I was a long time Enterprise plus member for over ten consistent years who had the misfortune of choosing to do businesses at this particular location. I've been racially profiled before living in NYC many times over my life but never have I been racially profiled and harassed by the employees inside an Enterprise location. I was embarrassed and had the police secretly called on me while the employees were supposedly getting my car ready. Why you ask? I guess being Black with a travel bag is a good enough reason to call four police vehicles to approach their Customer for looking SUSPICIOUS WITH A BULKY BAG. Take note that I just 20 minutes before that, returned a vehicle to the Enterprise ten minutes away with a fully paid for closed contract totaling over $1800 of HARD SELF-EMPLOYED money off my DEBIT card. I have never ever been disrespected in this way in my entire hardworking life. Not only did I not get any help for my reservation, not only was I questioned and arrogantly spoken to in a manner that I've never experienced from the hundreds of previous transactions in countless other locations across America, but the cowardice actions displayed and the public embarrassment suffered thereafter have left irreparable damages and emotional racial scarring that has now severed all financial ties with all my Enterprise rental car services. I will be asking all my business partners and couriers to not spend not another dollar at any Enterprise, Alamo, etc. The days of racist, prejudice, "Ill take your money, smile in your face, then stab you in the back" business practices are over. I won't tell anybody who to conduct their business with ( to each their own) but just don't risk ruining your rental experience on behalf of blatant RACISM! I believe the employee's name was Andrew (Lieberman?) Its been almost 3 years and I still haven't forgot how I was treated by these white employees. Ill never forget how they went from Fake, extra "super duper" phony helping me to not even looking me once in my eyes after police arrived for being BLACK in Enterprise in Wallington. (One officer said when the call came in the employee said I looked and was acting suspicious). 4 police cars ...8 cops ...smh. You would think the place was getting robbed! I would last like to say to the employees who did that to me on that day, WHO REFUSED TO PICK ME UP FROM MY LOCATION AND had me pay my own cab fare to get there after I just dropped off another car at another location($1800 tab) and WHO REFUSED TO HONOR MY RESERVATION AND SECRETLY CALLED POLICE ON ME WHILST KNOWINGLY HAVING ME WAIT IN THE OFFICE AS IF MY VEHICLE WAS BEING PREPARED ONLY TO KEEP ME AT LOCATION TO BE APPROACHED BY 8 COPS INSTEAD.....YOU ARE AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE COWARDS THAT KEEP RACISM ALIVE, Scumbags! Especially that Andrew or Alex individual(you know exactly who you are).The worst "business gone bad" situation ever in my life but I am happy it took that to stop giving them a red penny more and invest in a brand new vehicle! Why can't I give the Wallington Enterprise location more than 5 stars?!? Where do I start? As you may know from the last review I wrote, my husband and I were distraught over our car rental experience and had essentially lost hope in the experience altogether. After taking an oath to never give our business to the Rutherford Avis location (despite it being down the street from our home), we gave the Wallington Enterprise a try. All I can say is we have been in heart with them ever since. TOP NOTCH SERVICE EVERY SINGLE VISIT. We have never felt more well tended to and cared for as we do with these associates. Liz! Brian! Frantz! Jose! They have all been so incredibly helpful and pleasant and have gone above and beyond to always deliver incredible service and always with a smile! Even with last minute emergencies that we have had, they have taken care of us quickly and efficiently and always with a pleasant demeanor. I have been using this branch for over a year now for business and I always get exceptional service. Every single staff member is polite and friendly. Their pick-up/drop-off service is very convenient. The rates are generally fair, which helps also. Customer service is very important to me and it's not easy to meet my expectations (so I've been told), but I couldn't really ask for more from this branch. I'm moving out of state and hope I can be lucky enough to find a branch half as good as this one. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at this Enterprise location. Even though I wanted a sedan and they didn't have it, I was still pleased with the SUV that they had. It was perfect going down to North Carolina and back. And for an SUV it was GREAT on gas. So glad that they provide fuel efficient vehicles. Everyone was friendly and even asked how the trip was. I will NEVER use this location ever again. First the salesman spoke extremely fast both in person and on the phone. I had to slow him down to understand what he was explaining to me about the pricing. Second they claim to have contacted us and left voice mail messages concerning how much longer we would need the rental. They have notes in their system that voicemail messages were left. Neither my husband nor myself received these messages. We are responsible people and would have returned the call had they actually left a message. Third they placed charges against my debit card without informing us, including a road toll charge for Florida, when in fact the car never left a 15 mile radius of my house. While I did receive a credit back for the toll, it leaves me to wonder about having giving them my debit card information. I will NEVER rent from them again and I will inform anyone that is in need of a rental car to avoid Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Wallington, NJ. read more
