Here is my update. I fought this so called car damage even though I never purchased the insurance. I refused to be falsely accused of such. I spoke to a regional manager after spending almost a week of calling around and people refusing to help me. I did a lot of research of falsely accusations from rental companies and in fact there is many people on the web talking about this. If I ever rent a car I will never leave the lot without taking a video. Buyer be ware if they give you a car that was hoses down do not accept it. Had regional manager not given me a full refund I would have taken this to the better business bureau or small claims. These companies try to rip you off if you let them. read more

Donaldy and Olivia were great! We were involved in a car accident and needed a rental while the car was being repaired. The insurance company told us we could go to any Enterprise, yet no one could find the reservation by name or #. We called several different Enterprises and went back and forth with the insurance company until we spoke with Olivia. She explained that the reservation was made at a different service area which prevented anyone outside that area from seeing it. She told us if we called the other location, they could transfer it to Watertown, and just like that the mystery was solved! On the day we were to pick it up, we arrived later than expected, and the car was given to someone else. Donaldy gave us the phone number to two other stores that were close by. We were not able to get through, so we decided to drive over because they closed early on Saturdays. While we were waiting our turn at the second location, Donaldy called us and said someone just returned an SUV! He totally made our day!! They both made a stressful situation 1000 times better! FYI: If you want a damage waiver (to cover any and all damage) for a few days, then want to end it--you have to go to the office, let them inspect the car, then end the coverage. Makes sense, but I found this out after the fact and about $200. Also, I took the car back with a full tank but was billed $40 because the tank was allegedly 3/8 full. I said I have a bill from Speedway gas across the street from you for filling the tank. The manager said, Oh, yeah. I just rented your car and it had a full tank. Their invoice is confusing and, as I found, can be in error. read more

What I do not like is that he requested I give him a review on my experience before I received my receipt. had i submitted my review then I would have said everything was excellent but I did not, I am submitting it now after my card was charged 11.00 for a "service fee" my problem is: do not text me saying everything looked awesome and youre closing out the contract then go ahead and charge my card because that means, everything was in fact not awesome. Deceptive and not appreciated. the 3 stars are for my initial experience with the kind front desk... but the missing 2 are from my final experience at the end of the transaction. read more

This Enterprise rent a car is Fantastic. Their customer service is excellent and they are caring friendly and bring back customers for their special $9.99 for the Fri to Monday weekend deals offered usually from September till May ( just After and before the holiday which falls in Sept and MY). Even otherwise their prices are great. They fill up the gas and the gas prices they offer are cheaper than anywhere outside one could buy gas. I have to mention that Tom the manger of the location is really a great guy. Christy Marcus and Reagan Have given me exceptional customer service and I find them very reliable friendly and always helpful. if there is any discrepancy in the bill they adjust it for me very quickly and thoroughly. The auto body shop servicing my car scheduled an appointment for enterprise to drop off my rental today at 8:30 am so that I could get to work. Enterprise no showed and was not reachable for the hour that I waited. I ended up using hertz and was over an hour late to work. They left me a voicemail in the afternoon asking if I was still interested in picking up a rental a car. I was given feedback by others that this has been a common occurrence and I do not plan to use enterprise or recommend to others going forward. read more

Geico and enterprise both are sucks... enterprise Said that geico stop paying for my rental 5 days ago and both didn't call me or notify about that, they waited 5 days to call me and to tell the I have to pay $167 dollars for the extra day, if they at least was honest and call me to notify that after the 15th I would be charge for the extra day it would be fair, but no they wait 5 days to call me and tell my that I have to pay...... horrible company I don't recommend anyone to don't business with People like them.. read more

The one time I got a car from this Enterprise was because the one closer to me (in Cambridge) did not have the car I needed. About halfway between Pittsfield and Northampton, the car started smoking. Because someone left the oil cap off (note this Enterprise location is attached to a Jiffy Lube- coincidence? I think not). It took Enterprise 2 hours to get someone to me to pick me up, drive me all the way to Hartford Airport to get another car so I could drive back to Boston. And miss out on my plans with friends in Northampton. I was not given any sort of credit, discount, or reimbursement for their mistake. read more

I've rented from Enterprise in many locations. They usually have better service than other rental companies. I've gotten 6 ot 7 cars here at the Watertown location and have always been pleased. I've gotten excellent friendly service even when they are busy. Only once did I get a car that wasn't extremely clean and when I mentioned it, the guy gave me a card for a tank of gas. Then, Enterprise called later and offered me some free upgrades in the future, even though I told them I was extremely happy and had only mentioned it offhand because it was so unusual. Friendly customer service is the only reason I am giving them stars. I genuinely liked the two employees I have spoken with and appreciated the prompt pickup. I rent from enterprise quite regularly in locations around the us. I know what to expect. Unfortunately, the cars at this location were dirty and in states of disrepair. The worst part for me is that whomever is maintaining the vehicles is tightening the steering wheel to an extreme extent. I picked up my first car, a Hyundai accent I think, and the seats were uncomfortable, shift gear sticky, and in general felt as terrible as the non power steering car I thought about buying when I was broke. After driving it around for five minutes my back was already hurting from the force needed to turn the wheel. I went back and traded it for a better car and the second one was dirtier but a nicer car... And still had a tight wheel. Who is maintaining this fleet? Such a small detail makes all the difference to me. Next time I'll probably go back to the Malden enterprise. They're right on the t and always give me very clean cars with power locks! ETA: I found out a few days into my rental that a previous user of the car had spilled oil in the trunk. The things I put in the trunk were damaged by this oil mess. The spill was impossible to see visually, so I'm not surprised it went by undetected, but it did add to my problem with the perceived dirtiness of this fleet. Their manager Andrew did follow up with me to make amends for that issue, and he is great... but I'm still leaving this review at 2 stars because of the several problems I experienced with the maintenance of the cars. read more

I used to have bad car luck a few years ago and had to get rentals often while my car was in the shop. Never had a problem here. I never got anything extravagant but their cars are always new and clean. Service has always been quick and super friendly. My experience with Enterprise Rent-a-Car has generally been pretty positive, but given how egregiously bad my experience at Enterprise of Watertown was, I felt compelled to write this review. This review is about their initial mistakes. Note: The kindest and most helpful member of the team, Nicholas, was promoted to the Danvers location. I now have little to say that's good about this location, with the exception of A.'s warmth. TL;DR: Several errors made on Enterprise of Watertown's part, due to carelessness and lack of transparency, cost my fiancé and I multiple hundreds of dollars, as well as over ten hours of our time and attention (including portions of our work weeks), and still resulted in abdicating all responsibility until an area/regional manager stepped in to fix things. Recently, my fiancé picked up a rental due to our car being in the shop. The rental was through Allstate, the driver's insurance, and was intended to be covered 100%. We called their office and spoke to a kind woman named A. (whose name I'm eliding because she's a bit new, despite errors). We explained the situation, and she suggested he/we head on down to get the car. When my fiancé went to pick up, he mentioned that he was not the title owner of the damaged car, and that while he's on my insurance, the insurance that covered this was the other driver's. As people who had never rented a car under these conditions, we had /no/ idea that this would lead Allstate to refuse coverage. Enterprise, being in the business of renting cars in these circumstances, /did/ know. But we were not advised of this. Had we been, I would have joined my fiancé at the rental agency immediately. (Our dropoff was the day before Winter Storm Grayson, which meant the rental went on far longer than expected.) On day 5 of our rental, we are woken to frantic calls from both Enterprise and Allstate - the former because Allstate is refusing to cover the rental because it's signed to someone not on the title, and the latter deeply concerned about auto rental fraud. I call Allstate to assure them there's no fraud (which was my first mistake - had I told them Enterprise's plan to "fix" this, I would have been told it wouldn't work), and to let them know I'm going to contact Enterprise. I call Enterprise, boggled as to why we're being charged, and talk to A. She is very apologetic for the stress of it all (though no real admission of a mistake), and says it's easily fixed . . . by going to Enterprise and filling out something that, as I understood, would put the rental in my name. Pro Tip: There is literally no way to do this, something I /also/ didn't know at the time and wasn't told, clearly. Due to time constraints, they put in thorough notes and we fly out the door to a different local Enterprise and, in the slight afterhours of their business, hurriedly sign the paperwork and thank them. We think everything is resolved. On day nine of our rental, the day before we're supposed to return it, I'm again woken to calls, and texts from my fiancé, noting Enterprise says Allstate will only pay 1% of the rental because HE IS STILL LISTED AS THE RENTER. We check the paperwork I signed . . . and realize all it did was add me as a rental. I call up the local Enterprise office, thinking they may have made a mistake. Apparently not; this is the paperwork that Enterprise of Watertown asked us to sign. They also advised us there's nothing that Enterprise can do for us. Once a rental ticket is opened in someone's name, the only way to change it is to close the ticket and open a new one. And, unfortunately, it's now essentially the end of the rental. They suggest I reach out to Allstate. I call Enterprise of Watertown to ask what the heck is going on, and receive A. She's incredibly confused why we're still having trouble, stating she thought this would fix it. I tell her what our local Enterprise told us, and she puts me on hold. When she returns, she hesitantly tells that the local office is right and, like them, suggests I reach out to Allstate to make a plea that they cover it anyway. At this point, I'm pretty upset, and ask her why I should have to make further phone calls to beg Allstate to cover us despite the ticket not being written as they asked, when it was /Enterprise of Watertown's error/ that caused. She puts me on hold again. The next time someone picks up, it's Nicholas, the now-promoted manager at Enterprise who, while saying the same thing A., offers to go to bat for us and explain the situation if Allstate won't cover it, mentions two different departments at Enterprise he can check to see if they can convince Allstate, is deeply apologetic for our stress/loss of time, and helps with remediating on the spot another issue we were having. The rental process was easy and the car was clean and worked well but unfortunately they failed to tell me that they overcharge on tolls. I just got a charge of $10.45 for a $2.55 toll. Had I known they overcharge "Processing fee of $3.95 per toll" I would have used my own toll reader that I left on my car at the mechanic. read more

I have honestly never felt so taken advantage of. I rented a vehicle from your Watertown, MA location on 4/26/2019 because I was involved in a head on collision I was not at fault for. My insurance suggested I rent a car in the meantime while the damages were being taken care of. Due to time constraints I paid my deductible so my car would be repaired quicker while my insurance worked with the other drivers insurance to get my deductible back .My insurance put me in touch with your Watertown branch and I was given a 2019 Ford Escape. It was my first time renting a vehicle so I entrusted that the employees at this branch would guide me in the right direction. The assistant manager brought me out to the parking lot, pulled the car out of the spot and handed me the keys. I left and returned the vehicle on May 6th. Upon returning the vehicle I was told damage was found to the driver side door. There was no photos taken of the car prior to prove the damage wasn't there before nor did I know that I had to spot check the car myself and take photos to cover my end. I trusted the employee that helped me because she seemed knowledgeable and trustworthy but now looking back I was a fool. I had to open another claim with my insurance and I'm being told that if the cost of the repairs don't exceed my deductible then I'll have to pay out of pocket. I have student loans, rent, bills, and a dog to pay for. I find the methods of this company to be completely unethical. I have no say in this matter because I signed the rental agreement because I trusted this company and the employees helping me. Your auto repair assessment team are telling my insurance company it will be 30 days before they are able to say how much the damage actually costs yet Enterprise has already charged my card for $1,000. I've emailed the Care@Enterprise.com email 3 times and keep being told someone will reach out to me yet I am never contacted. I've included a link below that shows my email chain. I am ashamed I ever put my trust in your company and I will never rent a vehicle from this company again. The stress of my head on collision is enough to bear and now I have to deal with this nonsense for the next month. Recently I rented a car with this location when I was getting my car repaired at Hynes Autobody in Belmont. I was beyond impressed by their employee Chris, who picked me up in a timely fashion. He was extremely nice and was genuinely sympathetic with my car situation. They offered me a free upgrade to a Ford Edge which I loved. Never expected a rental car company to care so much about their customers. I recommend this location highly as they go above and beyond in everyway possible. read more

I live in Boston, but this branch is down the street from my job AND they always have the $9.99 weekend special (during the months that it's available). Also, you pay less fees than you do at the Boston branches... Anyway, I've never had any major problems here. Maybe some misinformation a few times but nothing life altering. They don't have many cars so you usually end up getting a free upgrade if you pick up later in the day. The cars have always been clean and in good condition. The guys in the office are always very friendly. I recommend them. read more

Was in town and needed to rent a car to visit Lexington/Concord for the day. This location was super convenient. The check out process was the quickest I had ever experienced. I declined their insurance and they just said okay, and did not try to waste my time and talk me into it. The car was in wonderful condition and exactly the type I had requested. Awesome service. On Saturdays they close at noon, yet you can still set a reservation for that time. I showed up casually at 12:45 pm. Typically car reservations do not require an exact pick up. I was surprised to discover a dark lobby upon my arrival. Fortunately I was able to catch an employee before he left for the day. Not only did he help me, he went above and beyond getting a car ready for me. Did it with a smile too. You never find this service anywhere anymore. read more

I rent from this location all the time, as I travel to the Boston area every month. I can't think of one negative thing to say about this business. The staff are very friendly, the car is always clean, and over half the time they upgrade me for free. I take advantage of the $9.99 weekend special. What even makes it more convenient is that they'll allow you to leave the return time open ended. After the weekend is up, the discounted rate is $24.99/day which is still good. So, if I want to return the car on Tuesday, I don't have to bother calling to extend. I can simply show up with the car when I'm ready. I wish other car rental agencies I've used in the past were this good! read more

The staff are friendly and outgoing, which is helpful. The beginning of my rental period was great - they offered for me to come back to the shop during the week if I wanted to cancel the Enterprise sponsored insurance. Anyways, I was very happy with the car (new Chevy Malibu) and it was clean. However the reason I only gave two stars was because I called to ask if I could leave the car at the VW dealership when I picked my car up after work, and they said that would be fine. Well, I drove it to VW and since the customer service parking was closed, I left the car at the lot across the street and gave VW my keys. (This was a Tuesday night.). Friday at 3pm I get a call that the car is missing - come to find out it was towed in Watertown. I parked it in a lot not owned by VW. So Enterprise basically had to get it out of the pound and bring it back. What's reasonable was that I did park it in the wrong location, but they wanted to charge me for the days that it sat in the pound. This is where I was upset - why didn't someone from Enterprise call sooner? I had called the night before letting them know to expect the keys at VW. This was disappointing...ill admit to my mistake of the initial tow but they dropped the ball without following up with the dealership sooner. Essentially I was stuck with the total bill for the days it sat in the pound. I discussed this with a rep for Enterprise who had little sympathy for the situation. I will not be renting from this location again. Not happy with how the end of my rental period was handled. I've rented from Enterprise a total of nearly 18-20 days this past year or so. They made it as easy as it could possibly be! Tom at the Watertown location was a pleasure to work with. He let me grab my car well before my pick-up time and laid out all of the important terms for me; his customer service was excellent! Since I came early, the car was not quite ready yet so he even suggested I could walk to a nearby Dunkin Donuts and his colleague would pick me up - suggested taken. A few minutes after getting there, his colleague, Regan, picked me up and was great. Conversational, friendly, all the qualities you'd think car rental service would not provide but they both made me feel comfortable. Once back at the office, they handed me the keys, walked through the car (which was very clean) and I was on my way - definitely not as stressful or problematic as my other car renting experience. I would definitely recommend renting through Enterprise and definitely try to find these two, they'll make your experience easier. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Enterprise has been stealing from me since December. I rented a car for a week through their company. When returning the car I was told by their representative to leave it at Nissan when I drove the rental there to go pick up my car. They had assured me I should leave the car there and they would retrieve it. For the past 10 months now enterprise has been repeatedly charging my card on file for having that car an extra week longer than I ever did because someone on their side forgot to pick it up I'm assuming I have spoke to many representatives about this issue. The first couple of times the person on the line would just apologize for the inconvenience, take off the charges and make notes. And claim to inform me I'd be notified if this charge was attempted again. (Three times later) I am still dealing with this issue. My latest attempt for help with a representative was resulted in her saying "let's give you a new card number" so they can't charge my card anymore... I find out this morning 10/11/17 meanwhile I spoke to the girl on the phone towards the end of August.. the girl never did this and my account was again withdrawn about $500. AGAIN. Six times now? I think so. I never did receive my "new card". I'm at my whits end dealing with this. I've been begging for help for almost a year. I can't afford to pay that sum for something I did not do. I need to reach out to the CEO of this company or potentially the police if enterprise wants to continue to not cooperate with me. read more
