I would love to give this place 5 stars since the doctor is amazing, however the front staff will prevent that. Their customer service is deplorable, as it seemed while being assisted, I was interrupting their talking and Facebook time. Sorry, but I won't be returning. Dr. Duggan saved my husband's life by discovering a small anomaly in the blood vessels of his eye. She forwarded the information to his primary care physician and an MRI was immediately ordered allowing for a full diagnosis and prevention of a major brain injury from stroke. When someone calls a practice to get information, the 2nd question out of their mouth that skips your original question should not be: And who is your insurance company? And when you ask if they have any appointments for the same day the receptionist should not laugh like a hyena and then put you on hold. And the appointment desk lady when she picks up should not laugh when you ask about evening and weekend appointments. Psst, look out your window. See those tall buildings over there? That's the famous Las Vegas Strip! And it's not open 10 to 5 M-F, it's 24x7. I donh't expect an optometrist to be open 24 x 7, but no occasional evening or even Saturday appointments reflects a closed minded way of doing business that I can do without. There's a nice and respectful way to say No, we don't offer those hours or services that won't get you a one star review. Or you could choose to act like this practice did...and as a result now I'm choosing to share my experience in hopes others won't have to put up with the same thing. I have used a couple of ophthalmologists in Vegas, and have really liked them all. However, I moved to Southern Highlands and was referred by a coworker to go to Dr. Duggan. WOW. I highly do no recommend this place. I am sure the doctor is great but the prices were out of control. I was quoted close to $500 for a new set of lenses on one pair of glasses. She made up some bogus remark that the mounting position made it more expensive. I went down the street to Las Vegas Optometry Care and paid $475 for the same lenses and a brand new pair of sunglasses with prescription. Erika definitely had a better selection but the price was ridiculous. read more

So after being taken back by a technician on time- I proceeded to wait for the doctor almost an hour- sitting in the room- no one came back to check- no one came to tell me how much longer. Charges 45 dollars for retinal scan- a bit more expensive than most places. I just can't get past the fact I waited so long just to see the eye doctor- not an OB/GYN, not a surgeon, not an emergency room. I should have been made aware of such a long delay- and feel two hours is too long for an eye appointment. read more

My daughter and I both visited this office. I took the time to go online and fill out and print my patient information sheet to avoid the troubles at the office. This made my process go so fast. Upon arrival my daughter and I were very pleased with the staff and cleanliness of the facility. Everyone was very nice to us. My daughter and I were both assisted together. They were very diligent in checking the health of our eyes. Both my daughter and I needed to have our prescriptions corrected. Upon viewing the changes I was so relieved with the new lenses/glasses I was getting. I really felt like they went over and beyond to meet my needs and maintain my vision healthy, and my daughter agreed that she loved the attention we got. They really know their insurance partners, and they made sure to apply all the available co-pays and discounts for us. My daughter was able to get two pairs for school with the back to school special they had as well. I highly recommend this doctor and office, you will have a wonderful experience. read more

Had Dr.Duggan last year when I had insurance. I spent over $600 cash on a pair of glasses (my eyes are terrible so I needed special lenses), and contacts. After I used her contacts, she said they were a new kind (because I've probably tried every brand in my life) my eyes became sensitive to the light, bright red and shooting pain. I tested a couple pairs out of the box and every time the same thing happened (almost exact to pink eye). I truly believe I was allergic to them and needed to switch to a new brand. I went in for another visit, still with my same insurance and she told me I had an eye infection and she couldn't give me any drops or anything. I was so upset. I know for a fact it's the contacts. That week my insurance ended and I went back and she told me she couldn't help me unless I paid for another visit. Throughout the year I tried the same contacts (a new pair of course) and same problem happened every time I put them in my eyes (couldn't go in the light, shooting pain and almost like pink eye) ...she knew my insurance was ending and didn't offer to trade out contacts to find a pair that worked for me. I still paid for the services and spent plenty of money there so I am very upset how she handled the situation. I would never recommend this doctors office. Definitely a rip off. She should have found a pair that worked for my eyes instead of telling me I had an eye problem when I was probably allergic to the contacts. I always thought you want to make the customer happy? But it seems greed took over. read more

This is a great office. The staff is very professional and helpful and Dr Dugan is fantastic. I had a difficult situation with my right eye that was not able to be resolved at another different doctors office in town but Dr Dugan and her team were able to fit me with a contact lens that fits right and improves my eyesight. Took a chance and went to Dr. Duggan because my previous optometrist left the area, and I found a $25-off coupon on Yelp. I can't offer kudos to the receptionist, but then, it was lunchtime and quite crowded, and she may just have been having a rough day. But Dr. Duggan was very nice and very attentive, as was the technician who handled my preliminary test(s) (the one where you follow the neon dot, the one where they blow a puff of air into your eye, etc.). Another thing I liked was the fact that they didn't keep pushing me to buy my lenses from them. I'm not really comfortable explaining each time I visit an optometrist that the prices are so much more reasonable at Costco, but it seems I always wind up having to give the same explanation. This was a much welcomed exception. I can definitely see returning here for next year's eye exam. read more

And it gets better. Brenda, the Docs' Technician is amazing. She is very courteous and extremely professional. Dr. Neil Dickerson and the rest of the staff did a great job for me. I need some eye treatments for macular edema. They ran a series of tests and then determined I need further opthalmologic care and gave me a referral to an outside opthalmologist that is covered by my insurance. I followed up on that right away and am now receiving medication to reduce the edema in my left eye. The receptionist was also very kind and helpful. I was able to schedule an appointment fairly quickly and didn't have a long wait to see the doctor once I was in the office. I had outdated prescriptions for both glasses and contacts and was able to take care of both in one visit. I felt like my happiness with the product and my vision was the priority, which was wonderful.
