Amazing!!! They have the BEST spicy crab wrap. Who am I kidding..it's the only one I've ever had. I'll definitely be going back for this. The only complaint is that it's half of a whole wrap. And they didn't have another one. Each layer tasted delicious. It comes wrapped in a sundried tomato tortilla (well, half of one) and includes red onions, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cream cheese spread and last but definitely not least, CRAB. Scrumptious. Stopped by this coffee spot after a hike at Reinhardt Redwood regional Park. It wasn't too far off the highway and was still open at 4pm so we went for it. The place was bigger than I expected with a huge parking lot, so no trouble with parking. My husband had the cubano cappuccino (cappuccino sweetened with a bit of brown sugar). I didn't try it but he said it was really good. I had the Latte Love with caramel. It was creamy, the foam was so smooth and it was just sweet enough (I hate when coffee drinks are overly sweet). I'm really glad we tried this place and would recommend it if you are looking for a new coffee place to try! read more

This is one of my favourite cafes in Hayward. I used to come here and study back in the day as it was right across the street from Chabot college. Their panini are amazing, I usually go for the turkey pesto which has a delicious creamy pesto sauce with cheese onion and tomato. Another favourite is the California Avocado. These panini are quite filling and they usually come with chips/apple and a pickle. They do offer a wide variety of cold sandwiches, salads, little snacks and pastries. They even have ramen noodles! There are so many options to choose from here. For their drinks I usually go for the chai latte which isn't too sweet like most places or their matcha latte which is so delicious. They offer some smoothies and different hot and cold drinks but I don't think you can choose wrong. The only thing i don't like is the chips, unfortunately the ones that come with the sandwiches are stale every time, so i ended up getting the sun chips. Consistent place for awesome sandwiches! I wish they were bigger because the turkey pesto is so good it makes wish I got 2 haha. Edit: I have easily been here for years having gotten the same turkey pesto sandwich 25-30 times. Because it is my favorite thing on the menu. I have tried other sandwiches as well as the ramen they have on weekend. Do not mention that they no longer take phone orders. This sandwich I received today was not made with the same attentive they always make my sandwich. They used to be SO concerned on when I was going to be there to pick up and this sandwich which I order in the store and waited for was sweating and falling apart. So just saying don't mention that and I'm sure they'll serve you like they usually do. Spent more than $30 on 3 sandwiches and a salad--we supported this place. Checked this place out as we we're next door at the AAA. We really enjoyed our visit. We each got the turkey avocado sandwich, which was fresh and delicious. We really liked the fresh roll it's served on. I had the energy smoothie in order to check out their matcha. Delicious! My husband had the cappuccino. I tried the Crème De Caramel and the Latte Love drinks here recently. The cashiers were knowledgeable and very accommodating to sweetness adjustment requests. Logistics wise the shop is quite large, practices social distancing measures, and allows for ample parking in its own private lot. The Crème De Caramel resembled a caramel macchiato - espresso shot floating on top of milk with a few pumps of caramel/vanilla. The Latte Love drink came out to a nice twist on a classic latte, except a bit creamier and less sweet than the classic latte. Both drinks were delicious, with a great drink flavor that retained the strength of the coffee flavor. I will definitely be back to try the matcha! read more

Can't believe it was over 6 years ago that I last reviewed Eon! Husband and I come here quite often on the weekends for paninis and coffee and they are consistently delicious every time. The employees are all friendly and they recognize the regulars. I started going in the morning before work for awhile because I realized I'd prefer to spend the extra couple of minutes here rather than going to Starbucks because it is just such a pleasant way to start my morning! I love the iced Cafe Bianco. It's sweet and creamy. I sometimes grab a bagel or a pastry to go with my coffee, but I don't have a go-to. They have awesome sandwiches, salads, and yogurt parfaits in the grab and go case. So happy to have this awesome spot in our neighborhood! Keep up the great work! read more

Amazing study spot: my roommate and I (post bacc students at CSUEB) came here at 9:00 am on a Saturday to crank out some lectures. Ample plugs, quiet and quaint with very good local coffee shop vibes. I got a double shot espresso (which comes with a biscuit): definitely high quality. I believe their cold brew is a speciality, which I'll probably get next time. The bonus: at 11:30-1:30 on Saturday's and Sunday's they do a special offering: RAMEN. Mind you, these are made with a special type of noodles that's organic. Needless to say, the flavor of the soup broth and the Chashu pork is one of the best I've ever eaten. It was a great reward to solid study session. $8.88 ($9.75 with tax) for a flavorful lunch dish (Limited edition Special Miso Ramen). They have Shio, Shoyu and regular Miso flavors. Decided to try this place out with Amy, Gabe, and Michael for breakfast and I'm glad I did because it hit the spot! It's a nice small place on the corner near Chabot College, but they have a lot to offer inside. Right when you walk in, you'd be surprised to see that they sell ramen here. Yes ramen soup haha! Definitely a bit odd for a coffee shop, but hey why not right? I ordered the White Chocolate Macadamia Latte with a Chipotle chicken sandwich for lunch. The guy was super nice and helpful since this was my first time here which I definitely appreciated. The latte was very yummy! A bit sweet from all of the flavoring, but they definitely got it right and it was super smooth too. And the large was only $4.35 so it was a good deal for me. The sandwich was awesome too! Perfectly panini pressed on the outside and melty and loaded with chicken on the inside. If I went to Chabot, I'd be coming here at least once a week to try more of their coffee and food since their pricing is fair. Maybe next time, Ill give their ramen a try too. read more

1/10/16- It's funny that I come here so often that as soon as I walk in the door they already know my drink of choice! Customer service has always been amazing. Everyone will always greet you with a smile on their face and let me tell you that you are spending way less $ when you shop for your coffee here then at the bigger coffee shops. Try their paninis, they are delicious! They have a customer loyalty program, so make sure you ask them for a card! This is just for the ramen. Eon has ramen available from 11:30-1:30 on weekends. Ooh, so exclusive, how could any Yelper resist checking it out? The ramenista at the counter took his time and explained the difference between the two broths available, miso and shio. I opted for the shio since he said the miso was spicier. I asked them to omit the pork and egg since I don't eat either. I asked for bamboo shoots and they didn't have them. I waited for more than 30 minutes (!) for the ramen to come out. That's unacceptable to me and the reason I won't come back, although the ramen was decent. I set a time limit to leave because it was getting ridiculous, and the ramen finally came out 1 minute before the time was up. So I got 2 giant pieces of lettuce and a piece of bok choy covering my ramen to compensate for the lack of pork & egg I guess, which was nice. Underneath, I was surprised to see these green "healthy" noodles that they seem to use in other dishes here. I don't mind at all, but it was weird that the staff went over the broth choice so thoroughly and then failed to mention that the noodles are totally different from normal ramen... I think this would stop ramen purists dead in their tracks haha. So, it tastes what it sounds like. "Healthy" ramen. It was kind of nice for me, like combining a salad with ramen. However, the wait was so bad that I can't justify coming back for ramen. Maybe another time to try the drinks (mulberry tea was aight). read more

After five years, this review deserves an update. First, this has become my number one favorite place to bring home coffee to brew at home. I've tried several of their varieties and loved all of them. They grind it up for me, and it makes my mornings happy... which is important because I often have 6am conference calls with the east coast and Europe. I don't buy my coffee anywhere else, so I'm glad Eon is conveniently located for me. The atmosphere is super cozy, quiet and comfortable. Great for relaxing with the wifi. The outdoor seating is enjoyable on a nice California day as well. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food is good, but here is where they lose a star. The daily sandwiches, while usually delicious, are pre-made. That means no substitutions, no omissions, and when they run out, they run out. I get it as a business model, but I don't love it. I'm still bitter over the chicken chipotle disappointment last week. I guess it would be good for them to cross it off the menu board when you run out, so we don't get our hopes dashed. Kids love the smoothies and fruit cups. My vegetarian daughter loves the Greenoodles they sell here to take home. My global colleagues, whether they know it or not, benefit greatly from the Eon's Mexico, Guatemala and house blend beans. read more

A quaint coffee shop to get your study on located off of ratchet Hesperian Blvd. It's hard to find anything decent here where I can study besides going all the way to Fremont/Union City. I actually prefer this place over Sujus/Kaffa! We arrived Saturday late morning around 11:30AM to study and to try out their ramen. We luckily arrived right when they started taking orders. 2 bowls of ramen and an iced coffee came out to about $19. Honestly that is a great steal in comparison to other ramen spots that charge a bowl a ramen for at least $10! We both had the spicy miso ramen which was one of two options available besides original miso. There were tons of seats and outlets available. Our ramen came out 15 minutes later in great presentation. The broth was decent for miso ramen but the spicy level was pretty mild. What made the ramen stand out was the noodles. They were made out of moroheiya. No clue what that is, some sort of plant that is high in fibers and vitamin, no preservatives, msg, vegetarian, etc. Its a healthier and surprisingly tastier alternative than regular noodles. I felt less guilty killing a bowl of ramen that day! Wished they provided more pork in the bowl. I was given 2 very thin slices. There was corn in the ramen which none of us liked. Overall, very tasty ramen and would not mind purchasing again if I am studying there during a Saturday lunch. I haven't tried their drinks yet besides the iced coffee my bf ordered. They had sugar water as an option which went very well with the iced coffee! I left my charger there on accident. I was disappointed when they wouldn't answer my phone calls the past few days. A great place to study, catch up with friends, sell your old iPhone, etc. The coffee shop is located in the heart of Hayward, right next to Chabot College, which is why it's frequented by so many students. The WiFi is alright, it could be a little faster, but hey, free WiFi is free WiFi. I highly recommend getting the Bianca, it's basically a white mocha, but better. Always ask for your drinks extra hot! I tried the chocolate chip cookie here and it was pretty good. I will be back soon. read more

Cute place for a hang out. I like their seating and decor and it's nice and quiet enough to study or hang out with a group of friends. They have snacks and drinks and lots of room. We placed our orders inside, we're served in a timely manner and ate outdoors. They have a nice selection of bakery goods and a variety of hot and cold drink choices. They even offer milk substitutes. The prices were average for that type of place. It was clean inside and out . There were a few folks hanging out working on their computers. Nice to see a cool cafe in Hayward that has a good matcha drink. I'm picky when it comes to having matcha because I tend to compare it to all the times I had it in Japan and I thought I would have the hardest time finding that taste and quality in the Bay Area. Well, this is one of those cafes where I think it is on that same level with Japan so I would totally come back here! The Matcha has a creamy taste with a perfect hint of sweetness. My sister had the Mulberry Tea and she too liked her drink. Also, the inside of the cafe is cool. It's like one of those cafes where you can just chill and have a nice conversation with someone. Why couldn't I find something like this when I was living in the area. It's nice too because they open pretty late on a weeknight. My sister and I stayed until close which was 10pm. Never really in the East Bay Area but I was really craving something warm to drink so decided to stop by this cafe on a whim. I'm so glad I did because I had the BEST matcha latte I've ever had in a while. They have milk subs which is great considering I can't have dairy, so I got the matcha latte with oat milk and it was so deliciously sweet/salty and the earthiness of the matcha was exceptional. Across from Chabot Junior College I've noticed several folks (who appear to be students). Now, I can't remember what time they open and it's likely 6am and I believe they're open till @ 8pm (better call & confirm). A small operation I've yet to hear that they've got an order wrong, unlike Starbucks who routinely get MY order wrong. Not just the coffee, but cup size, which to me is important. Their prices are generally lower than their competitors. Good Espresso Doppios & that's my principal reason for suggesting EON's Coffee at the corner of Hesperian Blvd. and Turner Court. When I'm around the area, I always make it a point to stop by. I've been coming here for well over seven years and I don't think I'll ever get sick of it. The employees are nice and the food is always delicious! I've pretty much tried everything they have to offer so I'll list some of my favorites: The turkey pesto panini is delicious and creamy. They're not skimpy with the meat! The green noodle salad with the peanut sauce is one of my favorites. There is a good proportion of protein to noodles.. It's pretty reasonable too! As for the drinks, I usually get the vanilla latte or the iced green tea latte. This place can get cramped with students so there might not be places to sit! read more

Disappointing smh. I went in on a busy Saturday morning. First time ever. I was at an AAU tourney trying to get something quick for my kid. I initially felt bad for the staff because they were really behind on orders and the customers were waiting with glares. I ordered a bagel and cheese croissant. I saw bro put the cheese croissant on top of the toaster to heat it. Man bro came back to remove my croissant about 5mins later. Bro wrapped that croissant so fast, placed it in a bag, put it on the counter, and then walked away even faster. I knew something was up. Sure enough!! Another local Bay Area favorite, been coming here even before my years at Chabot I've always been a brewed coffee kind of gal and I love the flavor and strong taste of the coffee once In a while I would get the Mexican mocha which is amazing or I would get one of their specials that they have on the chalk board, they also have with their seasonal specials which is always something to look forward to. I recommend this place to anyone. One day I would like to try their ramen which I heard is popular. read more

Good place to study pre-covid, but at the moment they prepare their chairs and tables outside and allow people to sit outside and hang there. It was nice to be there again sometime after covid and revisit the coffee place I loved so much down my street. I love the one Blueberry lemonade there (cannot remember the exact name of drink), and it is so amazing on a hot day. Very refreshing.
