Excellent wings! The prices are decent - about on par with anywhere else I eat. The atmosphere is casual. It's a great place for college-aged students, small groups, and families alike. They have TVs usually tuned-in to sports channels, and they have a decent selection of craft beers at their bar. The only downside is the wait. It's about 15 minutes minimum to get your meal, even during down times. I've been there when it was packed, and I've been there when it was empty. It's always about 15 minutes minimum. The longest I've waited was 30 minutes for a single meal. Turns out it was cold after all that. I let the manager know and he replaced it within a minute or two. They were apologetic, and it's likely this was an isolated incident. They also do call-in orders. The time estimates they give for call-in orders are usually pretty spot on. The wings don't retain heat for long, though, and I'd recommend reheating them when you get home. The plastic containers they come in are microwaveable. They changed their name to Epic Wings. The sign out front reflects this, but the internet is slow to change, so they'll probably still go by Wings-N-Things on internet platforms for a long time to come. read more

I was SUPER disappointed in the speed of service at this location. I had an idea of what kind of wait to expect since I've been to 3 other locations. When I visited the other locations, they were busy and I still didn't have to wait this long. Also, the cashier that took my order did not greet me in any way, and had kind of a snooty attitude. The restaurant was clean, with plenty of space. However, I'd rather be in a cramped restaurant and not have to wait forever for my food. There were very few customers yet I waited almost 30 minutes for 10 wings and 4 bread sticks. The person who brought me my order apologized for the wait but that only does so much when you're hungry. Wes, Chris, Leah, and Stephanie are awesome! Don't waste your time with those peeps from upstate NY. The food is good and the beer prices are THE BEST ( 3.50 for a Sculpin? Hellz yeah!), but there is one major issue. Rene is the assistant manager and is ruining WNT Santee. This individual treats the restaurant like it is his personal fiefdom. He is lazy, he prefers to stand around and chat with his friends, and is consistently ignoring customers. At least he is consistent on something. If Rene is not ignoring customers, he is actively rude to them. I have heard him swear and disparage female customers in Spanish. The food and beer are still worth the effort to come here but the management needs a TON of work. Someone serious about growing the business needs to be in charge and make sure the team is on the same page. read more

Today at about 4:45pm I was driving on mission gorge and I see this sign called wingsnthing. I walk in and I am immediately greeted by a young lady on the cash register with extremely long hair and blue eyes. I explained to her that It was my first time at wingsnthings and she told me about what she likes to order for her break there. She recommended the strip combo with garlic mild but I like a little heat so I got garlic medium. I had many questions and they were probably very annoying to listen to and answer but she did so with a big smile on her face. Loved that. I was handed a number and was told it should take 15-20 mins. Not bad at all. Im dumbfounded as to why this crew didnt have name tags but when I relooked over my reciept it read "Desirae" at the top left hand corner. Cool gal. I recieved my food and it was of course just as great as she had told me. Before I left I of course had to tip the tip jar on the way out. Heres a couple bucks wings. I loved the service. I love this place regardless of how many wings place open up in San Diego. But today while I ordered the guy started being polite than suddenly got rude and mumbled stuffed while I ordered. When it comes to Wings N Things, I think that every location should be like the Santee location. I mean, come on! Outdoor seating... Bar with some semi-decent craft beer selections... It really doesn't get any better. I love WNT. They have incredible wings. I've tried about three of the varieties and I'd have to say that Medium Buffalo and the Sweet Chile are my favorites. All the food is perfect. I had to review WnT after having gone here for years. By far the best chicken. Recently went and tried out Cane's. Lol. I think they forgot to add seasoning to their breading. And the sauce... Ketchup/mayo blended with pepper is not much of a sauce. Wings n things is super juicy, amazing selection of sauce. Awesome chicken tenders and the "medium" is a perfectly spicy/buttery/vinegary medium. The breadsticks are amazing, but nothing beats their homemade ranch dressing. It's drinkable. So good! I like to buy an extra side of ranch/veggies to snack on the next day. It's not on their menu board, but they do have kid's meals if you ask. I love that they have apple cider available here! The service is always friendly, but I did think it was gross that when I came last weekend, two people working there were sick. One guys was coughing and constantly sniffing and another girl was ill too. Not something you want to be around when you're eating. I love wing-n-things! Why 2 stars? Well... You place a phone order with specific instructions and you're told it will be ready in 10-15 minutes. I come in 25 minutes later and food still isn't ready. I make phone orders so it will be ready by the time I'm dressed and make the 10 minute drive over there and find parking. Yet, I'm still stuck waiting for my food and the cashier can't even ring up my order properly and they're still missing some items. Ask for blue cheese - I'm given ranch. Ask for extra blue cheese and/or ranch and I only see 2 tiny containers in my bag. You get like 5 onion rings and/or jalapeno poppers for such a ridiculous price and they're drenched in oil. Breadsticks were terrible the last two times I came here. They were just sticks of dough. I am pretty damn sure they're supposed to have melted butter and garlic spread on them...
