I had this bowl at the other location; it was so delicious that I had to order it again here while taking advantage of the offer. It was a literal win-win situation. I customized the Chicken Tostada Bowl with baby spinach, white rice, raw carrots, tomatoes, cilantro, tortilla chips, feta crumble, and antibiotic-free blackened chicken. I included an extra addition of the lime cilantro jalapeño sauce and sweetgreen hot sauce. I was pleased with the execution of the bowl. The ingredients were beyond fresh and locally sourced. The flavor completely satisfied my taste buds. The bowl was portioned greatly, and thus was fulfilling. I enjoyed consuming the bowl in front of the establishment outdoors. This location presented a nice, peaceful environment in the heart of Midtown Sacramento. The parking situation was a bit of a challenge, since the Ice Blocks development is known to be busy in general. I'd prefer visiting the location on Fair Oaks + Howe, for the reason that parking is much easier. However, the Midtown location is just as great and meets expectations. Most if not all of their offerings are pretty healthy, and if you're looking to increase your protein, your veggies, or just have a good meal, this place is for you! My last visit was a little rough. I actually lucked out and found a place to park, so of course, I thought that it was kismet for me to be able to dine in. The one thing that I don't like about ordering at the kiosk is that there isn't anyone that can answer questions or assist you with your order. It makes the process feel more complicated than it needs to be. I had wanted to ask about one of the dressings, and possibly add a different one to my order, and ended up having to wing it. Keep in mind there are people working behind the counter, but they're not there at least for my experience to help the customer. You pretty much place your order and they may or may not call you when it's ready. I had planned to dine in, and after waiting more than 10 minutes for my order, I asked at the Pick Up counter about it and found out that somebody had forgotten to make my salad. Then when it was ready, it was given to me in a to go bag. I took that as a sign that I wasn't meant to dine in... Sadly, I should have checked my order anyway, before I left the restaurant. When I did go back in person, all they could offer was a refund--no genuine apology, no concern, no effort to make it right. Finding plastic in your food is a serious issue, and they treated it like I was just unhappy with the taste. Between the plastic in my food, the long hold times, and the complete lack of customer service, I won't be coming back. Mistakes happen, but how you handle them matters--and Jack's completely dropped the ball.

It wasn't too sweet and the passion fruit was fresh. The Banh Mi Burger ($17.5) was bomb! The vegan beef patty was hearty and could pass for a beef patty. The fresh cilantro, jalapeños, pickled carrots and cucumber added a nice crunch and kick. I hadn't had tempura green beans in a while and these were a nice change from the usual fries. I forget how much they cost, but they gave a generous amount, enough for a few people to share. They were seasoned perfectly, lightly fried and not too greasy. My friend got a curry noodle bowl and she didn't seem super jazzed about it. I think their burgers are the way to go here!
