I love their fish tacos. Best ones I've ever had. They also used to serve a gnocchi dish which also was tasty.

I visited sweetgreen - Healthy Salads, Wraps, and Bowls in Sacramento, CA [1629 S St] on Sunday, 05/09/26, around 12:15 PM. For May 2026, the deal was still going on for the $12 Chicken Tostada Bowl. I had this bowl at the other location; it was so delicious that I had to order it again here while taking advantage of the offer. It was a literal win-win situation. I customized the Chicken Tostada Bowl with baby spinach, white rice, raw carrots, tomatoes, cilantro, tortilla chips, feta crumble, and antibiotic-free blackened chicken. I included an extra addition of the lime cilantro jalapeño sauce and sweetgreen hot sauce. I was pleased with the execution of the bowl. The ingredients were beyond fresh and locally sourced. The flavor completely satisfied my taste buds. The bowl was portioned greatly, and thus was fulfilling. I enjoyed consuming the bowl in front of the establishment outdoors. This location presented a nice, peaceful environment in the heart of Midtown Sacramento. The parking situation was a bit of a challenge, since the Ice Blocks development is known to be busy in general. I'd prefer visiting the location on Fair Oaks + Howe, for the reason that parking is much easier. However, the Midtown location is just as great and meets expectations. It's nice to know that I can visit, in case I happen to be in the area.

I was super excited when sweet greens opened a location in the downtown/Midtown area of Of…read moreSacramento. Parking is pretty impossible, and most people will order food to go either from the app or the kiosk at the counter. Diners tip: use the app if this is a place that you will frequent because they do offer specials and there is a point system. They offer a variety of salads that are already created on their menu, or you can pretty much create your own. Most if not all of their offerings are pretty healthy, and if you're looking to increase your protein, your veggies, or just have a good meal, this place is for you! My last visit was a little rough. I actually lucked out and found a place to park, so of course, I thought that it was kismet for me to be able to dine in. The one thing that I don't like about ordering at the kiosk is that there isn't anyone that can answer questions or assist you with your order. It makes the process feel more complicated than it needs to be. I had wanted to ask about one of the dressings, and possibly add a different one to my order, and ended up having to wing it. Keep in mind there are people working behind the counter, but they're not there at least for my experience to help the customer. You pretty much place your order and they may or may not call you when it's ready. I had planned to dine in, and after waiting more than 10 minutes for my order, I asked at the Pick Up counter about it and found out that somebody had forgotten to make my salad. Then when it was ready, it was given to me in a to go bag. I took that as a sign that I wasn't meant to dine in... Sadly, I should have checked my order anyway, before I left the restaurant. As it turns out, my salad was missing a number of items that I had wanted and paid for such as extra protein, and different salad add-ins. What I did receive was OK but definitely not good and nowhere near great. This definitely was an expensive lesson and one that I don't need to learn again.

This is the second time we have been to Jacks. The first time was in Midtown. This location is…read morebigger and has more seating. It is a counter order style restaurant. When we walked up to the counter we were greeted by the cashier and we were asked if we had any questions. We did not and so we placed our order and paid and was given a number for our table. The fries came out first and we were looking forward to them but sadly they were lukewarm and soft. I wished they were hotter and more crunchy. I had the Blackened Salmon Cobb salad and it was so refreshing and delicious. You cant tell from the photo but the salad did have avocado, blue cheese, tomato, egg, grilled corn, pickled radish, green onion, and lemon-herb vinaigrette. It was at the bottom of the bowl which kind of made it hard to mix. I wish it was on top of the romaine. My husband said the tri tip was good. The bread was fresh and the meat was perfectly flavored!

I've eaten at Jack's Urban Eats before, but this experience completely ruined it for me…read more I found a piece of plastic in my mac & cheese. Not hair. Not something questionable. Actual plastic. That alone is bad enough, but the customer service somehow made it worse. Before I even went back to the store to ask for a refund, I called several times and was put on hold for a very long time, with no one actually helping me. That should've been my first red flag. When I did go back in person, all they could offer was a refund--no genuine apology, no concern, no effort to make it right. Finding plastic in your food is a serious issue, and they treated it like I was just unhappy with the taste. Between the plastic in my food, the long hold times, and the complete lack of customer service, I won't be coming back. Mistakes happen, but how you handle them matters--and Jack's completely dropped the ball.

As we were ordering, I noticed a special item of the season, the Heirloom BLTA. Within 10mins of ordering, I heard my name being called and my sandwich was being placed on the counter. Each employee seemed pleasant and helpful. On the very first bite, the garlicky aioli and spicy arugula stood out, while the toasted sourdough had a great chew along with thick slices of maple glazed bacon, heirloom tomatoes, and avocado. This sandwich was made fresh to order for $12.95 This location is very spacious with plenty of indoor seating and a large patio. It was a windy evening so we decided to sit inside. Parking may be an issue since the area is so busy, but you can find parking usually within a block a two.
