My experience at Fred's burgers was great. As soon as I walked in with my amazing friends The Establishment was very clean and organized! We were greeted by a beautiful young lady by the name of Kim very professional very patient with great public relations. I ordered a classic cheeseburger the side of onion rings. I started with my onion rings and let me tell you they were excellent great crunch with your dipping sauce and then I dove into my classic cheeseburger I could only eat half it got me so full great flavors. So for this holiday anybody want to step out with friends family go to Fred's burgers great atmosphere, employees, excellent food and the prices are reasonable. Happy holidays to you all 2025.

The food was actually pretty good. The burger had great flavor, a nice portion size, and the Thousand Island sauce added a subtle spicy kick that made it stand out. I also upgraded my fries to the Thousand Island cheese and onion fries, and that same sauce tied everything together. The combination of flavors really worked well, and the meal overall tasted fresh and satisfying. What brought my rating down to a 3 out of 5 was the experience itself. The wait time was longer than expected for a simple burger and fries order, and when I finally got my food, the fries were soft and chewy instead of crispy. I ordered takeout, so I didn't see the inside, but the outside looked average. The total came to about $20, which felt a bit expensive for what I received. Overall, I enjoyed the flavor and would consider going back if the prices were a little lower or the fries were cooked fresh. The food has potential, and with a few small improvements, this could easily become a favorite spot for a great burger.

This place deserves more stars and reviews than what they already have. I came on a rainy night and they had a drive thru you can order from fred's or the chicken place that they also have in the same drive thru. I order the jalapeño burger with american cheese combo and it was 10/10 their sauce is my favorite. I also had the wild fries and they use actual nacho cheese not like inn and out so to me this was way better than inn and out itself. The service was quick. I didn't get to go inside but next time I'm bringing a friend to dine in since they always say dine in is a better experience.

No 6. GUACAMOLE SWISS BURGER MEAL .....

To start off I order a guacamole burger and paid extra for bacon.... Again this was a #6. GUACAMOLE SWISS BURGER MEAL please let me know when you see the guacamole... how do you mess up a guacamole burger ??? This place is mid to be honest better off going to bed hungry .... If anything this a mess up on yall end .. and they couldnt even refund me because it's through door dash (ok).... and they sending me to a specialized team bc I canceled the mf order maaaan..... When I tell you I'm livid .. image ordering food late af drive 20 min there 20 minutes back get home comfy af in ya bed to open a guacamoleless burger .... You call explain and you have you wait 5 minutes to see if a helpless manager can help (offers you 99 cents for the guacamole Missing) They ain't gone last (the workers specifically) good luck tho It's very aesthetically pleasing inside though 10 out of 10 and the drive-through is a plus..... as a foodie fr this was disappointing. Better off going to the other location in south sac. That's was a good experience my first time. People really do make a difference. The last thing I'm gonna say the burger tasted like it was in the microwave definitely being dramatic, but IT WAS nasty. AND TO PIT THE ICING ON THE CAKE MY TOTAL WAS almost $30 ... in this economy that's expensive.

This is the mushroom Swiss burger.

I was also able to grab some ketchup to enjoy those fries. My burger and fries was delivered and there were more fries than expected. I focused on those first because who like cold fries, right??? The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. A standard burger build but done perfectly! Beer was cold, food was great and the ambiance is a perfect local bar. Great spot to go if you don't mind hunting for a parking space.

There were couples playing pool and a group of people playing a gambling card game. Me and my husband both got their cheeseburger meal and his was a beer combo. The meal was really pricey and consisted of mostly fries and a mini burger. In order to get enough satisfaction I would need probably three of these burgers as they were the size of sliders. I would be better off going to McDonald's for the price. But if you like fries more than burgers then go for it . The fries were also really salty. The burger had great flavor but it needed to be bigger. I see this as a place where drunk people go.

I'm saying 5 stars in terms of Fast-ish food. If you are comparing it to a fast food restaurant…read morelike Mc Donald's or Wendy's it's definitely better. If you're comparing it to In-N-Out or Five Guys it can hold its own. But these stars aren't putting it against a sit down with a server taking your order type of restaurant. First off, the service was stellar. I was wearing a veteran shirt and as I was ordering the person asked if I was a vet and proceeded to give me a discount for my service. She said this is normal and you can show your ID etc for it. There was no reason for her to do that so it surprised me. I also had a guy ask me if my table was clean enough as he was walking around cleaning up. Then later after I was on my way out he asked if I was happy with everything I had. The staff definitely made me feel welcome and happy I spent my money there. I got the double Mushroom Swiss, fries, and a soda. The first bite into the burger I was pleasantly surprised. I read some reviews about the burger being bland. Idk what they were thinking. It was a good burger. I'm not telling everyone I know they have to go there for their next meal, but it was a good burger. The fries were good. The serving was ample. I bought the Hot Mess spicy Ketchup. It was unclear that I could just get ketchup so I thought you had to order the dipping sauce. If you like spicy it definitely had some kick. I think I was expecting a lighter spice. Either way, it was good. Next time I'll probably just get regular ketchup. I wish they had malt vinegar. That would have really made me stoked. Inside the decor was nice and clean. Parking was super easy as well. If you live in Sac you know that sometimes that's really the most painful part of going somewhere. They have a huge parking lot. Overall I was happy with the experience. I'd definitely go again. I really wanted to try one of the shakes. They looked good. I had heard from a bunch of people that it was a good burger and overall I wasn't let down. Like I said at the beginning you can't compare it to a regular sit down restaurant but for what it is, it's definitely worth stopping in and grabbing a fast-ish meal!

I have to give this a 5 star with some caveats (those are later)…read more First, if clean is your thing then this is your place. Exceptional in terms of cleanliness. Second if you have kids, then again, this is your place. I was there on a Saturday about 2 pm and there were multiple families and the kids seemed to really enjoy the vibe. As for the food and service. Service was great - people are friendly and attentive. I had the Bacon BBQ burger - good - not great, but worth the $15 or so. If i had one critique it would be that the sauce was too heavy and just detracted from the experience. As noted, the Burger had too much sauce which made the burger very messy. The burger leaked all over my hands and I used the two paper napkins in about 3 seconds flat. I went to the counter to get more napkins but there were no dispensers. So then i went to the restrooms to grab a paper towel but both restrooms were occupied. Then I pointed out to the staff that they should have napkin dispensers for their guests - the staff could see i was getting aggro so she offered the hand sink in the kitchen! Nice! Great service. A+ A few detractions - this is clearly a restaurant that leans on SYSCO - a major food purveyor for the restaurant industry. Many reviewers like the fries and shakes - I'm 90% sure these are frozen fries from SYSCO (you'll find the same fries all over the place), and the meat in the burger is probably sourced from SYSCO as well. Don't get me wrong, still tastes fine - just not distinctive. How do I know? A giant SYSCO truck was in the parking lot making their delivery when I was there. As for the atmosphere - it feels like a "Jonny Rockets" style retro burger joint but lacking the 50s style charm. It's white and red and very sterile feeling. It has some 50s decor but it's all pho/plastic and not authentic. It's not the type of place where you'd want to spend any time. It feels very well suited for a shopping mall where people can pop in, eat a solid burger and shake, then get out. The owners clearly spent a lot of time and money converting the space from the dive bar it was to what it is now, but I don't think it's a good use of the space. It's huge - it's got a large patio and tons of parking. It's the kind of place that should have been designed for guests hang out for an hour or two and spend some money, but instead they designed a small menu, counter service restaurant with a sterile atmosphere, the quick service trifecta. I hope they make it, but a space that large must have a pretty hefty rent. They'll need to fill some seats and get some wallet share to survive.
