AMBIANCE Came on a Sunday afternoon and surprisingly there was ample of space to sit inside. It's actually smaller than I thought given the spacious look from other yelper's photos. My new go-to place to study. Tucked away in Burlingame, this little gem has everything you need. Great drinks, a variety of food and pastries, wi-fi and a beautiful view of the water. I ordered the avocado toast and lemon zest added a nice kick! I paired this with a matcha latte which (to my surprise) was not heavily doused in sugar and extremely delicious. On bright sunny days I'm sure Equator Coffees is the place but to be but on a cloudy Saturday afternoon it was okay. I'm at that point in my life where coffee in the afternoon is a must even if a morning cup has already been had because I need the caffeine to stay pleasant. My husband has been to Equator before and enjoyed his experience so he took us here. Parking is pretty easy - there's a parking lot with spots specific for retail coffee guests and no fees. The shop itself isn't the biggest - there's window seating and then a communal table in the middle and that's it. The menu is a good size and we were able to narrow our wants right away even taking notice of the seasonal menu. Service is where it fell for me - granted it was an hour till closing, but the staff didn't seem very inviting and even when answering a question they sounded bored. I get it - it's a Saturday and you're at work, but don't make it seem like me ordering is a blocker on your day. Great views of the bay with access to the bay trail are what make it worth the trek. The area is bustling as it is right on campus. Quick spin around reveals a relaxing yet inspiring atmosphere. OK to bring a dog. Great views of planes approaching SFO over the bay; perfect for a sunny day. PRO-TIP: there is a nine car parking lot just prior to equator as you enter off the 101 freeway. If you pass it there are a few retail and public beach parking spots available. There is a K9 security guard who will approach you. You're totally fine if you are going to EQUATOR or the Meta store. Coffee is pretty good. I had my standard oat milk latte which was rich and I opted for the 16 oz dose. There was a "brainwash" coffee available (mushroom powder syrup to boost your brain), befitting for a clientele of intellectuals. I opted not to get it because of the sugar load and plus my IQ isn't that high anyway. read more

Good Wi-Fi, great coffee, and easy parking. What more could you ask for? Spent a few hours here studying today. Staff was super helpful and the habibi iced latte was DELICIOUS. Samples a few pasteries too and while they aren't anything to write home about, they're still really good. The habibi latte was smooth, a medley of lovely flavors, and one of my favorite iced coffee flavors I've ever had. The staff was also super helpful and gave good recommendations. Bathroom was clean and easy to access and people were definitely in here to do work. It was never crowded and lots of people were there working so good energy when you need to get things done. Main cons: I snagged a chair, but there was a lot of stools that I would've not been able to do a 4 hour study session. Also, I'm not from the Bay Area, so I was definitely freezing. It was a windy day and the door would constantly fling open with each patron and stay open thanks to the wind. Probably was the biggest distraction while I was there hahaha. The songs talked about walking with the devil, blood, resting with a knife, being afraid to die etc. I was genuinely sooooooo confused. I was just a little caught off guard because it just wasn't fitting to the beautiful space. I would suggest management to cater to this as constructive criticism and to play instrumental jazz or something less sad. We're already in such a difficult time in politics--in the world in general and it would be nice to have safe places that don't feel scary or deathly. I always get an Equator coffee whenever I can, but their food quality is just as good. I got the avocado toast which is probably one of the best I've had. There's something special about the bread they used. A perfect mix among orange zest, black pepper, and a hint of spiciness from the chili flakes. The habibi coffee is also smooth and well balanced. EQUATOR COFFEE is on the ground level of a corporate building which seems part of a larger campus. It has its own entrance at the front. Parking lot is large and free. There was no line to order when I went in. The barista was friendly. And even more importantly, she is ber good. My CORTADO was fantastic. I'm sure the beans and roast had something to do with that. Why do I crave you soooo much?! I am in looooooove with this place! Everything I've had is single brewed or prepared to perfection. I'm a matcha lover so I typically get a matcha latte here and they do not disappoint. Doesn't matter if it's hot or cold, it hits the spot. In the summer they also had a strawberry matcha which was delightful. I do not work within walking distance and have to drive and while there is some parking for "retail" there just isn't enough. I've come a few times and haven't been able to park (it's a the Mets office buildings so if you don't work there you can't just park anywhere) I love that the location is on the bay, it's a nice and serene place to enjoy it and take a break. While the space is small, it's always bright and clean and the employees are always very nice and attentive. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because they don't open early enough! As a coffeehouse, I would think they'd open earlier. They don't open until 7a and for people who have to be at work by then, leaves people like me having to go to work without a cup and having to try to jump back in the car to take a break and grab a cup! It's located on the Facebook campus, and is pretty visible from the road, as it's next to the traffic light around the bend. You'll want to park to the parking lot to the southwest of the building, as I believe that's the closest one. I got the blackberry cream cold brew, as it was a seasonal item. It came only in the larger 16oz size and was $5.75. The service always polite and gracious. I probably got my order within 5 minutes, after a small line in front of me. You'll want to stir the cold brew when you get it. That way you'll get the sweet blackberry flavor. I had tried the cold brew first without mixing and after mixing, and could easily distinguish sweetness before and after mixing. It's a bit of a ways out of one's way, but if you traveling on 101 and need a quick up-scale coffee chain, this is a great place to stop by. read more

While sprinting along the trails of Burlingame point I came across this corporate looking coffee shop and what a find it was! Before I even walked inside they already had my attention with their habibi latte that they were advertising in the front. Before ordering I asked if they offered mug service and their answer was sweet music to my ears as well as their playlist in the background. We have been coming here usually on the weekends. It's a nice area to walk a just sit. Lots of outdoor seating areas. Food and coffee are always good, but it usually take roughly 15 - 20 minutes for anything you order. We've had different foods, but i guess it takes that long for waffles or avocado toasts? I've been wanting to stop by an Equator Coffee shop for awhile now. When I was passing by the area on the way to Daly City from the East Bay, I added it to my stops! This shop is located in the Meta buildings at Burlingame Point, right by the water and Bay Trail. It's still open to the public and there's plenty of parking in the area (though none directly out front so expect a short walk). The shop itself has some tables inside and outside and I would expect that it'd get busy during meal times on the weekdays. In fact, I saw that they even have a sign prepared that would note how long the wait time is for drinks/food (in true Disneyland fashion). On an early Saturday morning, though, you could easily be in and out in 10-15 min tops. I ordered a Habibi Latte (orange blossom, cardamom, clove, vanilla syrup). Loved the subtle orange flavor and just the right about of sweetness. It was a cold day so I ordered it hot but I bet it's just as good cold.
