I just wanted to add an update to my previous review... I am naturally blonde and was dying my hair a little darker for a while. Recently I went lighter and was worried about the results but Viv worked her MAGIC! I just love my new blonder "do" and am so happy with how my color turned out. And another thing, the clothes they are carrying now are super cute for a great price. I always leave with a few "extras". They are also very knowledgeable about all of their beauty products. This review is also for SHARON. She is AMAZING! Honest, easy going and a beautiful person on top of being a skilled artist. I have never felt so comfortable getting my eyebrows waxed. I know that sounds like a impossible feat in itself but she's really that good. And when I say honest she is really honest. She is not the person that will offer you other unneeded services for her benefit. She will really take the time to look at the "landscape" and tell you whats needed. My review, like many other, is going to be solely about Sharon the esthetician. I have been faithful to my previous esthetician for nearly 5 years, but after recommendation from a close girlfriend (and my girl reducing her availability drastically) I ran on over to try Sharon. I was not disappointed, to say the least! Sharon is friendly, professional & cleanly, and puts you at ease with her great humor. She'll keep your mind far from the fact that she's ripping out the hairs of your nether regions, and get you out of there quickly. She did an excellent and very precise job on my brazilian, w/o any breakage and even went back with a tweezer afterward for a little extra clean up. My wallet absolutely hates my best friend for telling me about this place. She had a really cute purse and let me know she got it at Earthly Body. Since then I have bought five (5) purses. She told me about this store this past December. I live in San Diego and come back to Simi at least once a month to visit my family and I always make a trip here because they get new purses about every two weeks. They carry the wonderful Marrakesh hair product line. I only learned about the line because Earthly Body is awesome and gives samples. I also love the Earthly Body products, especially the scented massage candles. Last but not least, the customer service here is ALWAYS OUTSTANDING. The girls are always very nice and super helpful. I received Sharons number from a friend who recommended her. I schedule an appointment for a bikini wax (my first to be exact.) I was very nervous and somewhat uncomfortable. What can I say I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their products! Even though they carry a bunch of other manufacturers products here the actual Earthly Body line is amazing with everything they make! My sister first introduced me to their body lotion and massage oil several months ago because her store carries it. Everything is 100% natural essential oil blends. Their "Guava Lava" sent is my absolute favorite. When she told me they opened up a store I was all over it! My friend Julie had tried the product when she saw it sitting in my bathroom and she had to have it. So we went to the store as soon as they were open. The customer service was impeccable. The clerk was extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. I have since tried the body butter, the glow oil and then after receiving samples of their hair product Marakesh, I bought the shampoo, conditioner, elixir and split end mender. All amazing products! I traded in my "it's a 10" hair products for the Marakesh. I have turned my co-workers and some of my clients onto this line of products and everyone has fallen in love with them. I like that the hair care products are sulfate free, paraban free and NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS! If you have not tried any of the products by Earthly Body you are really missing out! Note: This is just a review for Sharon, the waxing specialist...unfortunately the other stylists who work at Earthly Body have always been too busy for my last-minute scheduling tendencies. :) Sharon is, without doubt, the most skilled eyebrow artist I have ever had the pleasure of being waxed by...and, yes, I do mean "artist" with complete seriousness. Now, I'm not one to take my eyebrows lightly. Aside from being valued members of my facial cast, they are also sensitive little things that resent being unnecessarily poked and prodded. Other waxists have actually left my poor skin BLEEDING, and while I recognize that beauty requires pain at times, I have my limits. I'll put up with a lot, particularly when it comes to waxing (an activity that really resembles ancient torture methods in far too many ways), but I find myself consistently disappointed. For some odd reason, I seem to naturally gravitate towards waxists who either a) cause me great pain, b) fail to make me look my archy best, or c) both. Sharon, however, is a miracle worker. I just can't quit her. Really, I tried; I went away to school twice and tried to find competent waxists who lived within a twenty mile radius, but after a slew of bad experiences I will gladly admit that Sharon is worth waiting for (even when she's a six hour drive from campus). Seriously. She REALLY knows what she's doing and my brows have never looked better. She's quick, but at the same time she puts of lot of thought and effort into what she's doing. Her workspace is comfortable (you get to lay down), secluded (no awkward chairs in the middle of a salon, but rather a small, private room), and relaxing, with beautiful decorations, dim lighting, fountains, and soft music. Her prices are, without doubt, unbeatable: Because I'm a student, she never charges me more than $15, which is the lowest I've ever paid anywhere (including back alleyway wax jobs that involve actual candles and bandaids). Finally, and perhaps most importantly, she's just a really cool person. She's down-to-Earth, covered in tattoos (although she's quite a few years older than I am), and hilarious; no awkward conversation or pauses, which is hard to find among stylists. I hesitate to write this review because I'm a bit protective of Sharon; I don't want her to get busier than she already is. :( However, I feel it's only fair that I share her talent with the rest of the world. Please, do yourself a favor, and go have bits of fur ripped out of your skin, via small strips of linen and molten wax, by the best. read more

This is my go-to place for my haircare products......not only do they have a great selection of top quality shampoos, conditioners and other products, this is where I now buy my hair coloring products. For many years, I just used the typical retail brands sold at Target and Walmart, but recently, I wasn't happy with how the color was turning out. I came here, and they recommended not only a good choice for covering the gray, but it has less than 10% ammonia........ it NO LONGER burns when I apply it. The coverage is MUCH better, it lasts longer, and I'm thoroughly satisfied with the color itself. Not sold anywhere else...... I LOVE it. They also have a great selection of nail polishes and nail care products, makeup, jewelry and other accessories, and they have lots of fun, unique little knick-knacks that would make great stocking stuffers. It's easy to get lost in here just looking at everything. In the back, they have a full salon, but I haven't availed myself to that part of the store. read more
