This is the place to be!! All the food they have here is so healthy, it's amazing! It is pricey because of the healthy ingredients that they use, but it's so worth it. They have such a variety, name it, and they'll 95% have it in a healthier version. So awesome! I just came here for the cold pressed juice because I saw on Instagram who had it and was saying how good it was. I got the Aloe Shine (Has Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Aloe, Lemon and Mint) and some orange one with Apple, Oranges, and Carrots (forgot the name). They are both DELICIOUS. At first, I didn't know how I felt about the Aloe Shine because of the hint of mint in it, but I ended up loving it. They're both so refreshing and healthy! The fact that these juices are pressed every morning makes it as fresh as it could be. They "expire" 2 days after you buy it. Since I was on my way back from the beach, I got 2 drinks since I don't live too close to it. They do have a location in LA somewhere, but that's still far :( I'm hoping this place will be brought to the Valley or something! I'd say it's 1 level higher than Whole Foods. I do not get the hype that this place gets. I tried their hot bar food for the first time and it was very very mid. My food was cold and wasn't fresh. I got a chicken combo place with mac and cheese and their buffalo cauliflower and I was a bit underwhelmed. For $30 and a small tray of food, I would've expected better? I think this place gets way too overhyped and I'm not sure why. Food isn't necessarily bad, but by all means it's nothing amazing. Lower your expectations if you expect amazing food here. I decided to visit the market tonight after hearing about it from a health-conscious friend over the weekend. The irony is that the one item I was looking forward to purchasing tonight (a Jem Nut Butter) was not carried by the Calabasas store. After walking up and down every aisle and scanning all the prices I must say that I wasn't that impressed. Although the store is clean and in order and the staff is friendly and eager to help answer any questions that the customer may have I feel that the majority of the products are overpriced. A good portion of the items I'm referring to can also be purchased at Sprouts or organic sections of other supermarkets at a fraction of the cost. Don't get me wrong the store also carries quite a lot of items that I haven't seen in other markets. So with that being said it's definitely worth visiting. If you don't mind spending $$$ and are in the mood for organic healthy tasty ready made food I would recommend swinging by and visiting their prepared food section. read more

I have been a loyal Erewhon fan for years, I love the hot bar, produce, smoothies, etc. I love it so much that I'll actually drive from Irvine to get it at least once a week whether it be in LA or Calabasas. I went today to the Calabasas location and have never gotten worse service. The hot bar staff was very nice and friendly but the cashier was rude. A middle aged lady named Dianna checked me out and was not helpful whatsoever. I got the wildwonder drink, and it was a BOGO free, so naturally I picked out two. When Dianna rang it up, the deal didn't show up and was being rude about it saying it's not working and to pay for the two. I kindly asked if she can call someone to help but she was reluctant and said to pay for the two. So I said okay with attitude, AND then she decided to call for help. A nice friendly man came over and quickly fixed the issue. I understand that Dianna could be frustrated that the code didn't work, but she should not have taken it out on me. I'm very disappointed because I love Erewhon and loved this location. I'll give it 3 stars because other than this time, the place is superb and the food is excellent. I adore EVERYTHING about Erewhon. I enjoy all the food; the produce is always fresh, and you can find chocolate from just about any quality manufacture here (not for me, but my manager is a choco fanatic and foodie and only eats a specific kind). Also, they carry donuts that are not laden with sugar, and sweetened with a cleaner sweetener (I'm not diabetic, but it is important to not consume too much sugar). Yum!! I also look forward to my shopping trips at Erewhon (Venice or Santa Monica - Beverly sometimes). The catering during the holidays are also on par, always friendly and on-time. I like everything so much at the hot bar, the juice bar, the desserts, food items and even cleaning products; I want all of it! Next to Costco and Amazon, this is my go-to-place. Thank you!! Kameela at the barista station goes above and beyond! Everytime I come in she not only remembers my name, but my order down to all of the substitutions. She makes coming in easy, when I have other people take my order they scramble. Not only does she get my order right everytime, but she makes sure that my sandwich and drink get to me! I love this place!! The food is fresh with the right amount of spices and flavors! The hot bar and cafe is so efficient, the friendly staff is there to answer all your questions about ingredients,etc. I especially liked the stir fried oyster mushrooms, roasted carrots, rice balls and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies/golden latte from cafe. From the market items, I had the jackfruit coconut curry, taco salad and Mediterranean chicken salad, so good and so fresh! Some of the fruits and veggie items you could get at your regular for cheaper, but as far as the hot bar/cafe, I don't mind coming here! It's pricey and I might go bankrupt, so I only come here when I feel like I want to fake my rockstar status and treat myself! It's worth it to me . Enjoy and make sure there's money in your account! I love erewhon honestly the food is great and I usually receive good service however, I have had an unfortunate experience with a specific cashier named Diana on Sunday. I was checking out in her lane and I was trying to make small talk but all I came to notice is her making dirty looks at me and then proceeds to not really responded to me to which you know I understand, it's a hard day maybe sometimes we don't want to talk thats fine. Yet, she then proceeds to ask if I can hurry up and move forward when she hasn't even loaded the screen for me to check out?? And there was only one person behind me may I add. Just want to mention the extra charge for my curbside contactless pickup earlier today was $5. I found it better to have the curbside pickup after feeling very stuffed with my face mask inside of the store last time. There were many people - all wearing masks and behaving orderly though without enough distancing while waiting in line for the hot deli or cafe/tonic bar. I'm glad prices of the items I tend to buy at this market have remained unchanged as grocery stores hiked their prices due to the disruptions at the packing houses or processing plants. We originally came for the Haley Bieber shake which we couldn't get because the shake bar closes at 5 o clock if I'm not mistaken. I also promise they have nearly exactly the same products as Whole Foods with less of a selection. Actually none of their fruit was good. Everything in store looks good and quality is certainly there. I especially love their curry chicken salad sandwich with tahini sauce and olives, among other colorful options. This isn't a good or bad review per se, just something I would like to see more focus on in customer service/public facing businesses. In this particular instance, regarding cashiers... When a customer is standing in front of you and you check their items, it would be a good business practice to engage with that customer rather than completely ignoring them while you carry on private conversations with coworkers or friends. Erewhon is not a Dollar Store, it is a very high end and specialized market... I would just hope to see a little more care taken in training employees. read more

I've shied away from coming here and ordering from the coffee section because the vibe is very clique-ish and the feeling of walking away and spending 2x for everything while getting the Erewhon Cold Shoulder sucks. Just saying! I ordered a tartine from the coffee line yesterday and the staff member never looked me or engaged with me because she was chatting away with other employees, no Thank You, no Hello, no Good Bye...this is business as usual at Erewhon in Calabasas.
