Place is very clean and has lot of verity. Prices are ridiculous and it's not because the quality is out of this world good. Some things are tasteless and some are good. Hot foods are 50/50. If you want to see bougiest people this is the spot. So many obnoxious people. I've been here several times and every time people get worse and worse . I've visited a few other locations and this Erewhon seemed to be the most "homey" of all. The front door was taped shut and my Hailey Bieber smoothie could've been better (don't think all the ingredients were incorporated, felt rushed due to the long café queue) but otherwise parking was easy, inside was as you expect for the standard of Erewhon, and the exterior made me want to have a seat and stick around a while. read more

Pretty cool place, although overpriced, which is to be expected. However, I will point out that I did see a lot of things that you can get elsewhere for very close to market price. Bought some extremely delicious cold pressed OJ for $14.50 at 16oz, slice of cheesecake for $8.50, and some alfalfa sprouts which I can't find anywhere else for $2.99. This place was originally the first natural food store created by Japanese immigrant Aveline Kushi in the early 1960s in Massachusetts. I can still see the vibes today with a plethora of healthy snacks and foods which appear to all be natural and organic. For those of you who are interested in checking out Erewhon but couldn't make it today, here's a little sum up of my personal experience I had today. First, I would like to say it is definitely worth checking it out. When we arrived at the parking structure next to the building (original Macy's/TJMaxx Parking), the valet workers even offered us a COMPLIMENTARY VALET service but we opted to self park as we had 3 little ones in the car. Luckily, I was able to avoid waiting in line to get in as I just somehow showed up at the right time. In the shelves, there were many varieties of products that I have not yet heard or tried. I like trying new products especially when they come with good health benefits so it was such a treat to see all the health focused brands and their yummy products. I loved how tidy and organized things were and secretly hope to see the store keeping them that way. I LOVED the well arranged flower bouquets. I told my husband this is the store where he can buy me a fresh bouquet of flowers for $40+ and I won't get mad LOL There were many beautiful bouquets for different occasions. As a person with sweet tooth, I loved seeing their rows of different "HEALTHY/GUILTY PLEASURE" treats. I bought couple of Erewhon branded chocolate bars and I can somehow justifice the price after trying them. The store's organic wine section really drew my attention as I have not seen that many unique & pretty bottles that intrigued my occasional thirst for adult drinks. Produce selection was great too. Some were averagely priced I felt and a lot definitely were more than what I would want to see my $$ go. For example, a single avocado for $3.29 is little more than what I would want to pay as we eat a lot of avocados in my house. Fruits and vegetables were in fact pricier than that of other local grocery stores. However, they did look very fresh and nice. The PIZZAS that everyone seem to talk about looked amazing and delicious. I personally will go back for that one day. I didn't get them today as I wanted to try our local pizza spot I have yet to try. I MUST talk about the selection of vitamins they have because our family believes in good vitamins that help us get through this crazy insane post pandemic era where a lot of us seem to get sick more often than we did pre-pandemic. Our family tries to rely on many homeopathic products and vitamins; not so much of pharmaceutical and over the counter drugs unless it's completely necessary. Spotting all the vitamins we have been taking that were not easily found in local grocery, health and vitamin stores, I felt at home and happy that many will get to try & experience what we have been taking instead of some over the counter drugs that obviously come with possible side effects. I am just thrilled I can just run over there now to grab any vitamin we run out and don't have to wait for our next shipment to arrive. Overall, do I think it is worth spending my for all the items they carry?! I definitely don't think so but I can say yes for some items, no for others. I found many items to be more than what I would want to pay for at the moment with so much inflation we are experiencing in everything... Personally, it was a great experience as I get to see more people trying and liking the organic produce/products. Perhaps we will see more stores going towards that direction in near future and make the organic produce/products more affordable and accessible... I've been here a couple of times and tried the pizza at the hot bar. They have at least 3-4 kinds to try at a time. I've had the mushroom, Mediterranean, and margarita. All of them were great and they are pretty big slices for ~$8. It's really busy so you may have to wait 5-7 min but at least you know the pizza is fresh. Market is also really nice and fancy but expensive, of course. Parking was easy as well (structure next to it). read more

What can I say about Erewhon. Probably the best grocery store out there. Hot bar food is beyond delicious; I recommend going in the morning and getting a breakfast burrito and a coffee. The smoothies are also very very good! Service is great here; every employee greets you and makes sure you are doing well. The ambiance here is awesome! There is a lot of history at this building and I love that Erewhon is preserving what it used to be! Parking: Lots of parking in this structure which is nice. I was super excited to go shopping at the newly opened Erewhon. The arrangement of the produce is pretty spectacular once you walk through the doors. I like the fact that they also had certain products that you can't find in a lot of places like the golden rule premixed cocktails, although they were above the usual price. They also had some very beautiful flower selections, although they were $35.00 each for the bouquet I looked at. They had a huge selection of kombucha and a selection of hard liquor. The lack of service was probably due to this being the 1st day it was open. Will I return... only time will tell. It is worth checking out if you are in the area! read more

There's a PASADENA Erewhon?! How the Hailey Bieber did I miss this?! Well as fast as you can say hasta luego DuoLingo, I mozied my lululemon butt over for a looky loo. My first thoughts are wow and thank you Erewhon for listening to my prayers and opening a location east of downtown LA. It was a labor of love for me to EV all the way over to the west side for my erewhon favorites, smoothies, supplements, yogurts and all sorts of goodies that aren't available from my "local" sprouts. But now I save miles and more importantly time because of this new Erewhon. Like all the other locations they offer complimentary valet parking, excellent customer service, and a beautiful deli with delicious healthy food! Yes its expensive, elitist and overpriced, but there's a certain confidence regarding the quality of the items and variety of brands to choose from (vs ordering/buying from Amazon or sprouts). It's perfect for people who want to have a fun grocery shopping experience in store full of items that have been carefully curated for a specific lifestyle and mindset. It isn't everyone's cup of tea but it's certainly mine. read more

The place is nice with ample selection and food options. Ordered a cafe latte with oat milk and a slice of pizza. The pizza was not bad neither was it great. It was just as good as any other pizzas which was rather disappointing considering I was expecting more due to the hype of this place. Maybe next time will opt for something more unique. read more

Wut. We meandered over to this new Erewhon and I got a small matcha oat milk latte for $12.50. Yes, you saw that right. A freaking $12.50. What is inside this $12.50 latte? The milk of human kindness and flakes of gold and silver and half a syringe of Ozempic? Anyway, behind the counter staff was uncertain of what was going on, the line to order was vague (not really sure where it starts? Who's ordered already, and who's waiting?), and the wait to get our coffee and tea was 20 min after ordering, but it turns out it was sitting on the counter, getting cold. Guys, clean it up and figure that out. Pretty sure my ancestors who immigrated to America with pennies (or whatever) in their pockets are rolling with disgust in their graves as they watch their ultra-snob descendent sip a $12.50 latte. No. Never again. I really can't imagine how this place is going to do long term in Pasadena, a city I like to think of as fairly down-to-earth. Babka slice - $5ish, mega dry, and completely flavorless, lacking the expected ratio of moichewy dough and chocolate-y swirl. An insult to Jewish pastries. Far better off buying the babka loaf from Trader Joe's. 80-90% of the groceries inside are VERRReeeeRy overpriced. I thought Whole Foods was rough - this is something else. I have always gone to the Erewhon in Silver Lake, and it was my first time at this location, Pasadena. Let me just say that this is probably the best Erewhon. They have a lot more products than the one Silver Lake and the employees are amazing. I order from the hot bar as Mackie was my sever. She was so sweet, very professional and has a lot of patience. Organic food Throughout the store. They sell unique food items carrying "erewhom" name. Service is superb. The store offers tons of samples on every aisle. Definitely the hotspots for stars and influencers from Aron the world. So at least give it a try. You won't regret once you visit. read more

Your products are lovely but the lack of energy or positive attitudes is quite disturbing, considering the inflated prices that customers pay, whether it be to flex on the gram or to be influencers, or what have you. I came in to see what the Erewhom experience was like but I have to admit, it isn't anything better than a visit to any other upscale "elite" grocery store. the produce and all the other goods are so pleasantly presented but at the same time, it'd be nice to be able to find employees who were so willing to give you more information about them or to tell you more about the speciality items that the store has to offer. I purchased some snacks here and were terribly disappointed. The freshness was terrible. I don't want to go all the way back to the store to return the item but I don't think I'll be back for a while. The quality of their produce and meats simply cannot be beaten at any other "high end" grocery store. My family and I personally can feel and taste the difference. The prices on things like vegetables, fruits, chicken and beef are honestly normal. If your goal is real, organic food, Erewhon is the go to! If you shop here weekly, the membership makes a lot of sense. $200/yr to save 10% a week. Do the math. Once you go Erewhon, you can't go back lol. What a beautiful store. Its the Bergdorf Goodman version of Bristol Farms except gazillion more times bougie and pricy. We bought hot food from the deli section; fatata, quiche, bacon, and sausage. $18 for a chicken salad, $10 each for variety of fresh fruit. My fav was the fresh peanut butter but booo for the $2 jar deposit. Bone broth and chicken soup also tasty but booo for the $3 jar deposit. Also waited in line to purchase the Beiber smoothie, $18. Our entire experience was a little shy of $300. $0.20 per bag at check out(OUCH!!!!) along with the stuck-up and speachless check out clerk with the long hair. 4 star because of the high price point and lack of manner check out guy. You guysssss it's so pretty in here but if you didn't know already this store is on the pricier end of the scale. The ready made food all looked so good but I opted out for the sushi packages. I purchased 4 items and the total came out to be $65. The sushi here isn't that great it was bland and the fish looked fake to me. I don't know how else to explain it, and it definitely looked better than it tasted. Each sushi pack was about $20 and I was super disappointed. I expected Tokyo Central or HMART quality but it still looked and tasted like Vons sushi. To be honest I probably won't buy sushi from here if your looking for a satisfying sushi lunch...only if you're just looking for something to eat. The keto cheese cheesecakes I got were actually pretty good though! I liked the New York style ones better than the strawberry cheesecake and for some reason I think they put a container of frosting in there too. But each pack was also about $20 and came with 3 pieces. The staff is very attentive and they keep the store well stocked, clean and organized. What was a bit of a hassle was how crowded check out was and it was alot to hard to notice if a cashier was calling you over. It's honestly just a grocery store just pricey lol.
