Do I even need to mention that things are expensive-every other review already has-and they are, BUT I got this combo plate of pesto kelp noodles, some tabbouleh salad, and Brussels sprouts for $15, and for a filling and fresh meal, it's not horrible. Should probably also mention that I got the smallest thing of apple cobbler for almost $10..now THAT was probably not worth it. Erewhon is the most luxurious grocery store I've ever been to. Everything is expensive--just as a warning. One time I bought the "Ketoberry Probiotic Mousse" for $15, by accident, because I didn't check the price (It was delicious though). The moment you walk down to the smoothie/juice aisle, you feel as if you're Alice in Wonderland. ( I hear "Drink Me" as I walk by!) All the glass bottles offer something different and wonderful to try. They have lemonade with CBD or Nut Milks to fuel your body. They have a Sushi Station that offers Black Wild Rice ( or white/brown) and the prepackaged goods are restaurant quality. I've had their vegan pizza, and different items from the "hot bar". I adore the Green Beans, Garlic Knots, Salmon Kabobs, Red Meat, and Mac & Cheese. Everything is flavorful and well seasoned. My "picky-eater" boyfriend loves this spot and he's super hard to please. We love to take our groceries to the beach or park nearby and have a picnic in the fresh air. read more

OK well everyone complains about price so it's a given that this place is expensive. If that's a major issue just don't go there because it's a fact that this place is the Range Rover of grocery stores! I come here occasionally probably about once a week on average for convenience mostly and to get certain products like the bread and veggies First it's a small store and the isles are narrow, but since I shop with a hand basket it's fine! but for me the biggest problem there is the selection of fresh fruits, lettuce, vegetables; very small area and they have a lot of pre-cut vegetables in plastic..waste and not hip or eco friendly at all. But what veggies they do have are love the carrots for example. The bakery has some excellent selections and the bread quality is great! Meat is good and prices are about right but there are not many choices just the basics which is ok but mostly typical stuff and lacking anything original. Sushi is good and has improved actually so that's a big plus! Pizzas are ok nothing extraordinary. The preparation of the food in the service counter is first rate but the $$ equals a sit down restaurant...not cool or hip really, but again we are in a Range Rover here. I have always found the service to be very friendly and supportive without exception. The bottom line for me personally as I just go there to pick up some vegetables and bread and occasionally cheese and other items there for convenience. read more

This market or for such an eclectic an amazing selection of natural homeopathic kids but it's literally impossible for me to categorize them all LOL. It's in a very popular location and the one thing it offers is two hours of parking and wonderful outdoor seating I find myself addicted to the selection of soups I routinely eat the chicken noodle soup as much as I possibly can but then I get myself caught up and going to the sweets are so many wonderful healthy sweet snacks in the checkout process is really unique you stand in a line and wait for the checkers to call you over. I found the staff to be extremely friendly, and very helpful. If you have to use the bathroom they actually have one that you can youCan use without tokens LOL. In all seriousness though, it is the ultimate grocery store and specifically for their DELI! You'll find me here most Tuesdays for lunch (usually the raw organic Mediterranean wrap) and at least 1-2x a week for their 3 combo vegan plate from the deli. Tonight was Brussels, squash, and carrots. It's deli line intense when it's busy just a heads up. Love their vendors too like Natures Next with their organic superfood cocktail mixers! On the surface this place is absolutely gorgeous. You are welcomed by glorious displays of bone broths and produce and ready-made food... But the rest of our experience was just awful!!!! Narrow aisles, customers without masks and STICKER SHOCK on everything! We ordered two burritos and a slice of spinach quiche and it came to almost $49.00. After about 20 minutes waiting for the freshly made burritos, we inquired, then looked around and observed as the man making the burritos, back behind the pizza area, wiping his UNgloved hands on a dirty towel while making our food. When I brought this to the attention of the "manager" of the area, she assured us he would wash his hands and remake the burrito he put his hands on. When we received our order, one burrito was freshly made and HOT and the other was cold - obviously not remade - and the order was wrong. We ordered coffee and they gave us someone else's order. Yesterday, we bought a couple of combo plates - my husband got a plate w pork keto and bit into a rock. We called the erewhon back to get a refund on the combo plate and they directed us to email customer service. No response to date. My friend joked that hopefully it was organic. We have the membership and go there frequently sad that they couldn't have refunded one combo plate considering my husband almost chipped his tooth. This entire chain is like a gentrification speed run and the only reason celebrities shop here is because they're willing to spend extra to not run into poor people 3. This place is a complete JOKE & rip off for people who happen to have too much money or got lazy from cooking. Unfortunately it took me several trips here to finally decide I've had had enough if I wanted to be treated with dignity- as we all should be. I spent over $85 for a two items lunch(very little amount of one protein one veg.), a bottle of juice, and a tiny bag of 4 mini cookies. The customer service is not only ignorant but mean. Had the worst sushi I've tried to eat in the last ten years from Erewhon. Keep in mind I lived in a small town in Texas for 5 of those years. I bought the $17 quinoa sushi with salmon, tuna and avocado. The avocado was fresh, the quinoa was absolutely disgusting. The fish was passable. I ended up picking the sushi apart to eat the edible portions because I didn't have time to go and return it and find an alternative for dinner. It was an incredibly overpriced and revolting meal. This is not my first time at Erewhon. I have had some decent to go meals from them, but that was pre-inflation at maybe $13. My eyeballs popped at every pre packaged little meal being $17 now. If you're going to charge that much, it better feel worth it when you take a bite. I'd only go back to Erewhon for their fresh coconut milk, which is delicious, or their house made chocolate chip cookies. So I guess I'm saying this is the place to shop for bourgeois Santa. Otherwise steer clear, there's a TJs, Ralph's, Bristol Farms and Whole Foods down the street and all of them have better to go options for less money. read more

I adore this place. And really really wish that they open a store in San Diego - heck, La Jolla or Carmel Valley! My sister had introduced me here, raving about it when I visited Santa Monica. And after I tried their food - I was hooked. They have a parking lot - in which you could find a spot or get your car valet. Otherwise you have the option of street parking.The market gives a sense of being in a Trader Joe's/ Whole Foods Market, bright and well lit. The food area is always the busiest. One moment you could be the only one there, the next, a mob of people appear. It would be nice to have some more space, but standing space is limited when ordering. Sushi area is right nearby too - and sometimes they serve samples! My favorites are the rice balls, brussel sprouts, orange chicken, cauliflower and pizza. Also their banana bread nearby the paying line is quite fresh and tasty as well. There is a seating area outside the store where you could sit down and eat. This is a hot spot for influencers that visit regularly as well. Food and purchases are pricier than most places, so keep that in mind! read more

Erewhon .. where to start : I'm here on the daily (sometimes even twice a day). I'm here so much rumors circulate I live here, up in the rafters and appear suddenly out of nowhere- rumors which I can neither confirm nor deny at this point. Erewhon is a grocery store/market in the same vein as Whole Foods offering every trendy health food and echoing every health buzz word imaginable- from activated charcoal smoothies and turmeric shots to organic/grass-fed/sustainably raised/cage-free/no added sugars/gluten free prepared foods. One lady joked that shopping at Whole Foods meant spending your Whole paycheck, while shopping at Erewhon meant spending your whole bank account ... but I digress. The grass-fed salmon is excellent, as is the wild caught lamb. Even the kale is grown cage-free, I was assured. They even sell the Golden Eye shot, some of whose purported benefits include "enhancing psychic energy" and " Third-Eye/Sixth Chakra stimulating" The hot food/prepared food section is the hub of the store where you will see hordes (mostly clad in Alo and Lulemon) hovering over the prepared food section holding numbered tickets in hand like winning lotto tickets, trying hard not to be crushed to death and fighting to get a glimpse of what's on display. Sort of reminds me of watering holes in the Serengeti- you know where different species like wildebeest, zebras, and hippos congregate to drink muddy water? Well, combine that with a Sotheby's art auction simultaneously and you have an idea of Erewhon food bar at rush hour. Parking is tight, avoid their lot except at night (they close at 11pm)when it's fairly empty. Best to park around the corner, lots of parking and avoid inadvertent scratches/door dings. On a serious note- come here for the hot food bar, great pizza , and large dark chocolate section, among other things. Highly recommended. read more

What an impressive new market with such a broad variety of ready to eat meals and foods. Clean, upscale, fresh. We were really impressed with the variety of produce and foods available. We went to the food bar and ordered a meal and some sides to go. The broccoli and cauliflower were SO DELICIOUS! A little crispy on the outside and just soft enough on the inside. So was the jackfruit masala - just scrumptious. What a blessing I do not live close to this store - I'd visit everyday. It's a big store but somehow the isles are super super tiny. Really only one person can go through at a time if you have a cart and it's a squeeze if two people with baskets. Other then that they have a good selection. Always crowded but mainly the deli and prepared food section is the most crowded. The employees are very nice and helpful and always around. Parking isn't great though. They do have valet but I prefer to park myself. Advice if your grocery shopping would be to avoid lunch hours. Because that's when you get a lot of people headed to the deli and cafe section to get takeout. read more

I got a smoothie for $18 but had to wait 20+ minutes for it because they wanted to make 8-10 cups of that same smoothie at once and the blender did not function the way they anticipated it to. I did not pay $18 to wait for other customers for to order the same drink as well and have it come out below mediocre. Additionally, they did not even bother to apologize for the inconvenience.
