My experience was very similar to that of Fran C. and Audrey B., both of Ashland. The owner was extremely rude. I had been there a several times before. He routinely scolds the help in front of the customers. On the phone, making reservations, he acts like there is a waiting line from here to timbukto. He'll tell you the soonest available table is in two and a half hours. Then you say, "okay, forget it". Then he says, " I have something in 20 minutes. When you get there, the restaurant is half empty. I've noticed that the help is always turning over. In the two years that they have been there, I don't think any employee has stayed with them. It must be hell to work for that guy. And the food is so so. Of all the meals I've had there, not one is memorable. My wife and I really wanted to see this guy make it. So many restaurants have failed in that location. We are a big fans of helping small business. But this owner makes a habit of shooting himself in the foot. I wish him all the best. When you see help turn over like that. That it is a huge red flag. read more

No matter when you go in the staff is always so friendly, the bartender Greg is so welcoming and knows my drink of choice and what my favorite entrees are, the food is always excellent and consistent and the owner Sam and Erica are wonderful! No matter how busy the restaurant is, Sam always finds time to walk through the dining room to check in on the guests, see how the meal is, check to see if anyone needs anything and to make sure everyone is having a great night out. If the kitchen isn't too busy you will also catch Erica strolling through the dining room speaking with guests and make sure that the food was prepared to how the guest wanted it. It is so clear to see that Sam and Erica are passionate about their restaurant and the food. It shows in everything that they do! If you haven't been yet you have to go. It will truly feel like you're visiting family. It's a great environment, the food is excellent and you're truly going to fall in love with it all! read more

This is my favorite restaurant to go to - typically take my family here once a week. I tend to be a picky eater but there are plenty of great selections on the menu so I never have an issue - specials are great and vary at times mixing in seasonal items. Went again last night with a group of friends and had the veal parm (third or fourth time for that selection) and was outstanding. Others had the Shrimp and Scallop Risotto, Grilled Salmon, and the Penne with Chicken and Broccolini - all great. We tend to sit at the bar which fills up fast so get there early - Steve and Megan mix great drinks and take good care of you. We've probably sampled just about everything on the menu and they've all been very good. Desserts are great too. Have even done the Valentine's Day and Mother's Day special menus - both were fantastic at a reasonable price. The NY special pizza is one of our favorite take outs now. This location has had a long history of short-lived restaurants due to inexperienced management, mediocre food and poor service. I have been to Erica's many times over the past year and have always had great food and great service. They offer a wide range of selections for everyone and it's a well kept secret that they have the best pizza in town. Some of my favorites are the grilled salmon, pork shank and lasagna which easily feeds two and still have leftovers!The owner's, Sam and Erica, bring a long history of restaurant experience and cook meals from scratch. They also make it a point to meet their customers. I am so happy to finally have a quality restaurant with reasonable prices at this location which will clearly be around for many years to come. We absolutely love Erica's, especially eating in the bar area since it's so warm and cozy. We have never had anything but a delicious dinner with terrific service - shout out to Mike! The Chopped Salad has the freshest taste with its wonderful homemade dressing, apple, pear, and goat cheese! The Chicken Piccata is my favorite; it's so yummy with the to-die-for mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. My husband often opts for the Chicken Parmigiana or the Orecchiette with Sausage. They're both out of this world so I steal his leftovers! Every time we leave Erica's we comment on how FRESH the food is, which is something you don't find in restaurant chains. We went to Erica's for dinner on Saturday night. We didnt have a reservation, but the owner Sam was able to shuffle some things around so that we were able to be seated right away. It was very nice that he did that for us. The waitstaff was very attentive. We had bread and water almost immediately, which is a nice change from what normally happens when you go to a restaurant. The waitress (Emily) came to check on us multiple times during the meal which was great too. The restaurant was busy, but she still made sure our table was all set. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was comforting. We sat towards the back. When we left, we actually purchased a gift card for my in-laws because we know they would enjoy it as much as we did! We will definitely be back! read more

Boys night out , Erica's for all occasions , my wife and I enjoy some quiet time and go to Erica's , when we go out with others couples we always bring them to Erica's every one that goes there enjoys the atmosphere but most of all it is spacious so you don't feel people are on top of you , The service is great , if they seem to be a little slow it is only because the place is packed . a night out is a time to relax , if your in a rush then go to McDonalds . I love this place . Every body I bring with us love it and they bring someone else , never got a report . My husband and I go to Erica's almost every Saturday night. The atmosphere and the food are so home like and amazing. I can say this about a lot of restaurants though. What really makes this restaurant above and beyond anywhere else is the owners and staff. Sam and Erica treat everyone with such respect and generosity. Erica makes it a point to always come out and visit with patrons and see how there meals are no matter if this is there first visit or they are regulars. Sam is the do all of the restaurant. He is so welcoming and such a friendly face to see. Anthony Bourdain was correct, Yelp is a scam. Google Yelp scam and read up on their blackmail tactics. If you do not buy advertising from them, which they will call twice a week to solicit, your good to great reviews will disappear and poor reviews for your business will pop up and stay up. Thankfully the public is becoming more aware! When deciding where to dine (or choosing any business service) use other online review sites, check with customers who have actually used the specific business. Nothing beats word of mouth! Yelp's lawyers live in court knocking down case after case brought on by small businesses all done with money and lobbying. read more

We were visiting family in the area and it was suggested we go here. It was a delight. I started with the crostini; very, very good. For my main I had the shrimp and scallop risotto; it was terrific. She had the chicken marsala and raved about it. The service was good; the waitress was attentive, but not overly so. I thought the prices were good; I have paid more for comparable food at other places near Boston. The location is out of the way for us, but if we are in the area again, we would not hesitate to return. I have recommended it to friends in the area and those who went enjoyed it. read more

Returned here this week for the 4th time. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere all prior visits. This time the sauce on the chicken, penne, basil cream was disappointing. So I shared pizza with my friend and the manager removed the pasta dish from the bill. I was impressed with the attentiveness and would gladly return for the pizza! I finally was able to try Erica's the last week of October and have been coming back weekly since. This place is a gem. The food has been consistently great. I particularly like the various Milanese preparations and the seafood dishes. I usually sit at the bar, and bartenders Greg and Steve are great to deal with. Always friendly, and regularly checking to ensure everything is going well. With many regulars, the place has a neighborhood feel to it. Will definitely be going back! read more

"Real Italian meatballs!" I grew up eating food my Italian grandmother made from scratch. No one has ever come close to recreating that same authentic food aside from the North End in Boston. So I went out to dinner at this restaurant by myself following one of the worst days I've ever had at work and was greeted by a nice young lady named Hannah. She greeted me with a smile and asked how my day was. It sounds like such a simple gesture, but I just needed someone to care and she did more than that. I come here all the time at this point. Food is always great! If you have never been, stacked eggplant is highly recommended but I haven't disliked anything that I have tried here. Kitchen does a great job and they are always coming up with unique specials. Erica's has become quite popular in the area. Great local Italian restaurant in Ashland. My family and I went in for dinner around 5:30 and were asked if we had a reservation, and we did not. Even though they were going to be full they still managed to seat us quickly. The food was delicious, especially the baked goat cheese appetizer!
