Chicken skewers on vegetable rice
Rich H.

Kennedy's pub last night was fabulous. Very busy at 6:00 pm on a Saturday night. Plenty of staff to handle the flow which is nice when you are seated and waited on in a timely manner. Our waitress Kim was so great, very friendly and helpful, a good waitress can always enhance the food and drink offerings and she did. On to the meals, my wife had the haddock, large portion and cooked perfectly with Delmonico potatoes. It's Kennedy's, if you know, you know the Delmonico's are fantastic. My meal is my new Go-to, Chicken skewers with a lemon glaze on a vegetable rice was absolute perfection. The skewers had big chunks of juicy chicken and peppers and red onion that complimented each other perfectly. Great meals.

Their Secret Garden is not to be missed! Food was wonderful -- the popovers are a must. We were all happy with our entrees and desserts.

We went there for Sunday date night. We reserved it so we're seated straight away, we chose patio seats. They have nicely decorated patio with tropical feel. It was a waterfall right behind us and that sound was soothing. They have arrangement for heating for colder days. We had one cocktail and one mocktail to start with. Drinks were awesome. We had one chicken appetizer. It was good. We ordered onion soup and chicken main course. Onion soup was great but chicken main course was not good. Overall good experience. Ambience is great. Staff is good. Enough of parking available outside for free. Can give it a try.

Such a cute and honey little pub! This spot serves up all your most favorite pub food dishes as well as some more unique options. I love that they serve crackers and spread cheese and a surprisingly delicious complimentary starter. Their menu is extensive and is sure to have something for everyone. While the food isn't mindblowing, it was definitely delicious and the portions are huge! The service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is lively making for a lovely, simple weeknight dinner. I'll definitely be back!

Came here for Mother's Day brunch. It was too cold outside to enjoy their beautiful patio, so we made a reservation inside. We were seated promptly and the restaurant was busy as expected. Our waitress was polite, but did not engage beyond the minimum requirement. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time considering how busy they were. It was all quite delicious, no complaints. The decor is a little outdated inside but it was an overall nice experience for a special outing.

Birthday dinner celebration in one of the yurts- the Aspen. Awesome concept and each of the yurts has a different theme and it's very tastefully decorated. Great company, outstanding food, and our server (Nicole?) was awesome. Knowledgeable, attentive and has a great sense of humor. We weren't the group from Nebraska..... If you act fast try and get a reservation in one of the yurts. They have six or eight of them each with a different theme motif. We'll worth it- great for a small group party. (There is a minimum guest requirement to reserve a yurt.) https://www.kennedyspub.com/

Solid old school pub food in a vintage atmosphere. Lots of locals! A real Marlboro scene.

Decided to try Finnegan's Pub food now that the ownership changed. I love our local places but…read morethree items were.. Trash. Really wanted to be happy. Including pictures. * Ordered loaded onion rings - 5 jalapenos on top with a few bacon bits? * Ordered kids fish and chips for son - came out as chicken fingers. * Coleslaw that came with the "fish and chips" was rancid. Wife luckily took a bite and spit it out before my son did. I took a whiff of it. Beyond spoiled. I dont mind food tasting different for everyone, that's the fun of trying. But I draw the line at serving rotten food. Drinks are pretty good though! *Update I'll try again in a year. And no, didn't talk to the manager, this was takeout I ordered for the family. I have two kids, and my routine is down to the minute until bedtime *

This was our first visit. It's a small pub in Hudson. There're seat-yourself benches, high-top…read moretables, a bar, & 2 coin-op pool tables. The atmosphere is nice and clean, comparable to your average pub. It's a little echoey, but that's typical of this type of setting. Our total (pre-tax, pre-tip) bill was $44.50. This was fair for our order of: * Hendrick's & tonic * Margarita (watermelon) * Nachos w/ grilled chicken * Finn's burger Adult Beverages: The Gin & Tonic wasn't too bad. The watermelon margarita was a bit strong and tart. Food: I felt the nachos were your average, pub-style nachos. Not too bad, but nothing great. I'd order them again if I were in the area and needed a quick snack. Jennie thought they were lackluster altogether and would not. We both felt the burger was OK, at best. The bun and toppings (LTPO) were all good. The meat was quite reminiscent of a lower-quality, frozen, store-bought patty. It was juicy, but there wasn't any flavor to it. The side of onion rings that came with the burger were quite delicious... the best part of the meal. They were thick cut in a tasty, thinner batter. Service: Our server was also the bartender. She was friendly and attentive. She also took our order, including the changes, from memory. This always impresses me. Overall, it's a decent little local place to stop in for a quick bite, a drink, and maybe shoot some pool, but we won't drive the hour again to make a special trip there. We're giving it 3/5 stars, as that's the average/median on the available scale.

I've eaten here many times mostly because of the location and history. The food is variable,…read morethough, and the waitstaff is really not very good. We were a party of 10 with reservations at 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. It was quiet, as one would expect. There were maybe 5 or 6 tables occupied. The menu looked great. It had been updated and had a lot of options to choose from. Our waitress, Emma, seemed OK at first. She took our drink order and eventually our food order. I noticed an edge about her as she took the food order from some members of our family, but it wasn't a big deal. It took forever for our food to arrive. It was easily 45 minutes, probably longer. The manager came over to apologize and said they had an "unexpected number of walk-ins," but I could see the entire dining room and, at that point, there was no one else there. I dont know what he was talking about. Our family ordered different meals. The Chicken Pot Pie and the Fish dinner were both, reportedly, very good. The salmon atop a caesar salad was, reportedly, dry. My chicken club sandwich was okay. Two ordered burgers, which were not okay. My sister said hers smelled a bit off, and, sure enough, she had an "upset stomach" later in the day. I dont know what was wrong, specifically, with the second burger but the person who ordered it wasn't happy with it. I didn't hear about the other meals. To be fair, our waitress was not told about any of these issues so they didn't have a chance to make it right. Then came time for dessert and our waitress seemed annoyed that we were ordering. It was my mother's birthday and we weren't about to skip that, though. Emma was actually rude at that point. She clearly had an attitude when taking our dessert order. Several people commented on it. My mother and sister ordered the sherbet which both said was very good. I tried a bite of the raspberry and agree that it was very refreshing. I ordered the bread pudding, which was also very good. Portions were good, not skimpy. I highly recommend both of them. I didn't see what the others ordered. There was no compensation for the extremely long wait and there was no offer of a gratuitous dessert for my mother's birthday, but okay. They don't have to. They just missed an opportunity to provide better hospitality. As we left, there were about 6-7 staff hovering around the reception desk, just outside of the dining room. It functions like a "Command Central" for the Inn. Lots of management types. We had passed them on the way in. Not one of them seemed to be engaging with the customers. They were very business-like, milling around. They were just as closed-off as I remember them being when we came in. If this restaurant were not part of a historic landmark, it would never survive. Management and staff have clearly forgotten about the "hospitality" end of their business. I do, however, recommend going to the Inn, taking the tour (excellent), visiting the tavern, enjoying the grounds and the other facilities, e.g. The Grist Mill (perfect for a picnic or a game of frisbee), Martha Mary Chapel, etc., and do have lunch there--just don't expect the food or service to be anything great. Rating: two stars = "could have been better."
