Service Technicians do not check to make sure lug nuts are tightened before they call you to pick…read moreup your vehicle. I have 4 tires put on. Was called and told my vehicle was finished and ready for pickup. After driving started to hear a whapping noise around one tire. Had it looked at. Found out that 2 of the 5 lug nuts about fell right off and a 3rd was one twist before falling off. I spoke with the manager and stated my concerns. He apologized and said he would talk to his staff about this. I told him this is unacceptable as people are trusting you with their vehicles. When you say its ready for pickup, they assume it ready to be driven. I'm just glad I didn't drive far and didn't have my children with me. The person I had look at it afterwards stated if 1 more fell off, it would have been a lot worse for me. Luckily nothing else was damaged.

I had an engine and a transmission error code. A mechanic at the shop also checked fluids and found burned metal in them, not a great sign. They told me in the gentlest way possible it was time to get a new car. I asked what I owed them and they refused to charge me. Coming from NYC, I was taken aback to be treated with such kindness and good faith by strangers running a business. We talked more about cars and about some new cars to avoid that they are seeing a lot of problems with. Since this visit, I bought new car. In general, I don't use mechanics. But my wife's brakes started squealing, and she wanted us to find a good mechanic we could trust for the big jobs (Translation: she doesn't want to die if I mess up her brakes.) I called a couple of friends, and they both recommended Jeff at Greg's. I can't say enough good things about Jeff and his crew. I called and asked about replacing all 4 rotors and pads. Got quoted a very good price, and scheduled in for a Tuesday. Jeff called a few hours into Tuesday, and let me know that the front brakes were fine and didn't need replacing. I'd forgotten that we just replaced them not that long ago, and they didn't have many miles on them, just rust. The rears needed replacing, but the front just needed the rust ground off to stop the squealing. Now, a lesser mechanic would have seen the brakes were fine, and replaced them anyway; we'd have gotten what we asked for. Jeff doesn't roll that way. He fixed the actual problem, and it cost half of what we were quoted. Another note, the rotors he sold us are quality rotors. Ceramic coated so they won't rust after 5 minutes in the rain (unlike the old rotors our last mechanic installed!) All in all, Jeff and his crew are top notch. Honest, reliable, with a great reputation. 5 Solid Stars!!!

We've had them fix 2 flat tires and attempted to have them inspect our car…read more They are booked out pretty far, so you need to make an appointment. One of the flat fixes, a plug, only kind of took. The tire still has a slow(er) leak, but we are selling the car anyways AND getting a car in to them to work on is a hassle, so we're just topping the air off weekly, bi-weekly. Also the repair cost 2x what I paid last time I had plug done in Boston. Meh. We brought our other car in to have faulty valve stem replaced. Fine job done. Ni While the car was having that valve stem replaced, we asked them to inspect our flawless, unmodified 20k mileage sedan. They refused, saying that they'd need to fail it for tinted windows. The car was delivered to us FROM THE FACTORY with the tint and sold to us brand new from a dealer in Massachusetts. This makes the tint legal (and it is Mass legal tint). It has passed inspection in Mass 4 times. It was an necessary hassle to bring it elsewhere.
