Here is my original review: "I have used Cichy's twice before for routine work like changing trailer tires, and my MIL used them for a muffler replacement. Both times, during the COVID pandemic. The service and cost was HORRENDOUS. In fact, it took them a month and constant prodding to get the tires done. So when my MIL needed a new gas filter I was hesitant to use Cichy's but figured I'd give him one more shot. I called ahead for an estimate, gave the car make model and year and part needed and got an approximate cost of $45-$50. My MIL was there for two hours because they didn't have the part after saying they'd order it ahead. And they charged her $108 for a 15 minute filter change. " Not sure who quoted that original price but in the end the owner gave my MIL a free repair, which was not requested, but was much appreciated.

This is one of the few places that will honestly tell you that you don't need to fix something you think you needed instead of always trying to scare you into fixing things you don't actually need. At one time I brought my car in for ABS light and started by saying I might need to replace the ABS module. John didn't take advantage of this at all and completely fixed the issue by replacing two electrical cables. I only wish that they were located closer to me so that it's easier when I needed to come back a few times to debug problems. Nonetheless, I'd still spend the extra one hour round trip to drive here instead of going to the mechanics who are closer, including one that has a suspicious 5-star rating with 100+ reviews.

They over-promise and under-deliver. I am new to the area, so it was my first time dealing with this company. Since my riding mower is in need of maintenance, and they are in the same town as myself, I called them two days ago and scheduled for them to pick it up today at 2:00 pm. By 2:30 I called and was reassured that the driver may be running late. So I waited. Patiently.... By 5:30 I called and was told that the driver had gone for the day and that he had told them that the mower was not out by 11 am so it (the mower) was therefore not collected. OK. First of all the voice message from the driver the previous day confirmed to me that the pick up would occur at 2 pm today. Second, no one told me that the mower had to be out waiting for it to be picked up. Moreover, I would not leave it out to be picked up: it is a riding mower and they will need the key, therefore I am not as naive to assume there is no risk of it being stolen with the ignition key in the switch. Let us assume that is the case, that I would leave the mower outside. Is it that difficult to ring the door bell? But that is besides the point since 11 am was not the agreed time. At any rate, the lady at the other end of the line, admittedly courteous, proposed during my second call at 5:30 pm proposed that my mower be picked up next week. Talk about taking responsibility for their own mistakes! It will take me less time to find someone else with a more reliable time management skill set, and who are more considerate towards their customers' own time. In fact it will take me less time to do the maintenance work myself. Oh but wait, this company ought to have the time management skill set and infrastructure since they claim to have been in this line of business for as long as they have. Hmmm. Time to consider personnel change, one that communicates between themselves. Or perhaps a change in their line of business. As far as I'm concerned I do not want to do business with a firm that underestimates the value of their future clients' time, and overestimates their management skills. Over-promising and under-delivering some people call it.

No. I'm going to give Lia Toyota of Northampton a five star review because they were there for us to help us part with our old RAV4 Hybrid SUV after local wildlife died inside. There you have it: grief, and death. All this can happen in what's typically thought of as, 'an asset': your car investment. You're not driving money bags around, you're insulating your family or self within a metal chamber going at speeds that threaten life. Whole industries and lives depend upon fleets of these vehicles traveling to regular destinations, keeping a fast pace, or making long treks. To know that there's death inside your car and somebody needs to get to the bottom of it surprises me in that it only a dealership or auto expert are capable when it's a dead animal. And Lia did so for us. I gave their repair shop grief, imagining that there was some awful coincidence between our car becoming a gravesite after we finished regular maintenance. Instead, with the weather as it is everywhere, cars are where animals will end up as an escape. I probably was not their first distraught customer, a customer not sure of what the world does with an inhospitable vehicle for transport. Lia, who had been doing maintenance on our car for some time and continues to on our new vehicle, held our hand through the process of discovering our loss. They took apart this car piece by piece once they knew there was mechanical failure. What was left was a sad story of loss that Lia traveled with us as we had to lose a vehicle to another natural disaster besides a flood. The amount of humanity and kindness that Nathan and the other staff at Lia showed me they are more than mechanists, they were car doctors for us and the whole industry of automobiles. I can only blame this on hiring locally, and years of expertise within the auto industry. I don't think we're done grieving our loss. I owe it to Lia that I can tell the story to Yelp, since you all are going to bring or buy your vehicle here, with Lia, and I can pray they keep this heart throughout the new developments in used and new auto sales.

They say they can't fix the issue and are "waiting on corporate." They refused to provide a loaner car, or refund any of my high payments to help alleviate the issue, and just told me to contact corporate myself as if it's my job and not theirs. It also has a number of other irritating issues such as, the back handles hurt your hands when you try to open the door if it's not unlocked, there is no proper button to unlock all 4 doors at the same time, it give notifications that are not accurate for no reason, and the key fob flies off your keychain unexpectedly so very easy to lose it. When I bring in the car, the staff looks at each other knowingly and says "ID4 issues." So yeah I feel like they knowingly sold me a problem vehicle just to get it off the lot. Definitely not going to lease or buy from these guys again.
