Did the Zoe game with 2 people. We had the option of doing 1 of 3 "scare levels". Easy, normal, and ultra scary. Where ultra scary just means you get tazed. We chose the normal version. Our GM was Zoe and the actor was Andrew both were fantastic. The atmosphere felt like you were really inside of a horror film. The lighting, effects, and decorations were spot on. The puzzles were not too difficult, but the added difficulty of being in the dark made them more challenging and fun. Would highly recommend for both veterans and first time escape rooms. read more

The Zoe escape room was the best escape room I've done to date. Christen and Will were the gamemasters this time and they did a phenomenal job. The plot of the escape room is one of those "break the curse and escape" sort of story. All the while, you're being stalked by the uncle (if you look on their website he's the axe wielding hulking figure). You also have an "ally" that helps you out. Their aid is subtle and very well placed so there's never an immersion breaking "hey gamemaster we're stuck on a puzzle give us a hint." One thing to note is that this escape room DOES use live actors and the waiver mentions they CAN touch you. No spoilers but the gamemasters use these tools brilliantly, albeit there's a very "video game-ish" formula about it. I say this because unlike other escape rooms where solving a puzzle just involves having a lock or door opened, there are unique "events" that occur that feel like a scripted cutscene in a video game. Difficult: Medium. The puzzles aren't terribly difficult. There were only 2 puzzles that really stumped us. We managed to solve one of them independently but in the other puzzle, our "ally" stepped in and gave us a hint. I was slightly disappointed that after the last difficult puzzle, the rest were so easy it didn't take more than a minute to finish the last few puzzles. Scariness: This game is quoted as a 7/10 in scariness and I both agree and disagree. What I think is the most brilliant part about this escape room is that they don't use cheap jumpscares to make you jump. While there are a handful of jumpscares, it's the utilization of live actors as well as the design of the "house" that bring the fear levels up. The gamemasters and actors do a great job adding paranoia from the get go. The ambient music is very creepy and there are many instances where you and your party must drop everything and hide, or feel the need to, in order to escape detection. I found myself searching for hiding spots (and being frustrated by finding bad spots) every time I entered a new room. The gamemasters also make you feel like you're never really safe. Unlike other escape rooms, where conquering a room means you have free access back and forth, there is little freedom in this game as you are consistently forced into smaller and smaller rooms. There was an instance where my team tried to barricade a door to prevent an enemy from reaching us, yet we felt that a clue or the way forward involved going back into "enemy territory" The only downside I really had was how easy the ending puzzles were. But I really can't complain because you could sense the end was near and the pacing was really good. Oh there's also a second mode you can do. I didn't do it on my visit but it sounds like it'd be 10x as fun and scary. They'll tell you about it at the end since it's for replay value Oh btw. Zoe is 8 so apparently you're not allowed to ask if she's single :| read more

Here's how it goes: you go into the room, you get excited that you're solving puzzles, they scare the shizzles out of you, you question the reason for your existence, you physically and mentally feel your maximum lifespan slowly decrease, you forget what you were doing, and then hopefully somebody in your group gets it together in time to actually solve the puzzles. 10/10 will definitely be back just to have more of my friends not talk to me for bringing me to this place. read more

My team and I played this room back when it was in beta test mode...so waaaaaay back. (My 59th room) Zoe- What to say about this room. This is definitely fitting for horror and it has a "I got sucked into an actual horror movie" vibe. The area it is in looks non chalant and like any normal building..but walking into it was a "I just pooped my pants..I want to see more..but don't leave me" atmosphere. Upon walking in...the room begins and it's very dark. It was more of a haunted attraction with some puzzles but it was still very worth it! The creep factor was definitely up there. It was enough to get us to actually run (yes there's enough room to run) away from whomever was chasing us. Yes there is an actor. No you won't die. This room follows the storyline to the T and has a great flow to it. It is a linear room but they scare you enough to make it not boring. The suspense factor was something I still go looking for. We managed to escape and the end was unforgettable for us. The owners are also very friendly and interactive. I would love to go back and play another suspense filled room. Zoe has left a great impression on me and will be on my top list of rooms because of the haunt factor. The puzzles by itself were simple which made the haunt part of the room more appealing. read more

If you want a group activity that is interactive, fun and unique, I highly recommend Escapade Games in Fullerton. My boyfriend and I have been three times with different groups- just because we loved it so much and wanted to share the experience with them. The cool thing is that since they are fairly new, each time we've gone, there have been improvements and little tweaks here and there. The basic gist of the escape room is that you are helping a little girl ghost name Zoe be set free. However, you have to figure out games and puzzles in the house and there are other evil entities that try to stop you. Don't want to spoil anything- but I can definitely say it's an immersive experience. The minute you walk in, it feels like you are in a haunted house. The staff is what really makes it awesome. They really work on making it a scary and special experience. Little touches here and there, the ambiance, and costumes, really make a difference. We had a chance to meet the owner the first time, and you can tell they are really passionate about what they do. Make sure to use the bathroom, wear something you can run in, and wear comfy closed toe shoes. You'll be screaming and running for the majority of time. I am a huge fan of horror escape rooms and the new Zoe Reborn may have taken the cake for the best one I ever been to! It was pretty intense and kept me and my friends both on our edge while also trying to solve the puzzles. The place was huge and its crazy how much they were able to fit in that building. Wow! Read all the reviews and knew I had to go. I'm an escape room enthusiast, as well as anything horror related. I've been wanting to do an escape room like this, frankly because every "horror" escape room that we've done in LA is mainly just a room decorated with splattered blood and uneasy music. This room sticks out from the rest because actors are involved and you may be touched - not in a violent or imposing manner, but enough to make the experience feel that much more real. This also makes you feel a lot less "safe". Be sure to come with at least one or two brave friends, as your group won't get very far without them! Production Value (5/5) - everything seemed very believable and we felt truly immersed. There was some cool technology features as well. Hint system is creative. Actors (5/5) - the actors were great. We even took the last time slot at 10:40 PM and it didn't seem like they were tired at all. The scares kept coming and it was priceless to see my brother scream like a girl/ fall over at one point (he didn't think it'd be that scary, but he was clearly wrong). Overall Value (5/5) - Although it may be semi pricier than others ($40/ person), unless you book the entire room @ 6 people, it's still SO worth it. The experience is second to none and Zoe delivers the complete package on all levels. Don't contemplate on doing this room. Just do it. This has been the best one that we've done so far and you feel like you're in your own horror movie. *Random side note: no need to bring your apple watches/ or phones, you won't be allowed to use anything in the room! WHOA! Such an amazing experience playing the Zoe escape room. Our party of 6 had no idea what to expect, but all I know is that we were literally shaking before, during, and after the experience! There ARE scare actors in this escape room with multiple rooms so you will literally be touched, grabbed, and scared the sh*t out of! We still talk about this experience even after a week, but you will get REALLY close to your friends after this experience. My friends and I have done both Zoe and the Last Experiment rooms. Zoe: 5/5 Fully immersive and scary experience not for the faint of heart. Really well designed and probably one of the scariest escape rooms in SoCal. If you like thrill coupled with some challenge than this is definitely a must! Last Experiment: 3/5 After finishing Zoe we came back for their newer escape room with high expectations. However, this was room was a little underwhelming. I'm an avid escape gamer. This is a top notch haunted house, and a mid-average escape room. The puzzles are simple, if you've run an escape room before you can solve all of them quickly. The production experience is a little lacking. New groups will encounter the last group leaving the room, so you'll likely hear tons of spoilers and they talk about their favorite puzzles. They didn't reset the room properly, so there were clues out of order, and not available in the rooms they were intended for, but it didn't turn out to be an issue, because the puzzles were so easy clues were not needed. (Our host assured us that the solve rate for the room was 100%, so if you're looking to think hard you're in the wrong place) On the other hand, if you're into haunted houses, this could be a fun event. The actors and junp scares will get your heart rate up as you move through the house, and if you have children with you they might even scream. read more
