Open for late night dining, a rarity in Sonora. The green sauce they serve with the breakfast burritos is outstanding, I could drink the stuff. The interior is diner-style and service is quick.

Amazing Magarita Flight at Escondite De La Torre in Sonora, CA. Watermelon Cucumber and Tanarind

You haven't had Ramen until you've had Birria ramen, my wife and I were grateful to have this great experience with during our stay in Sonora, California this past weekend. We were immediately greeted by Ronnie and we were excited to try our Margarita flights. My wife loved the cucumber lime, and also Tamarindo Margarita, yet all of the flavors were equally as delicious in my book. Ronnie gifted us with one extra margarita. Topped with the syrup and salt, these fights are perfect staple for a fun time with friends or loved ones. Ronnie mentioned that the beer would take a little more time in order to perfect the flavor, and he wasn't wrong. The bowl was big enough for two people to enjoy across from each other, and the broth was to die for, we enjoyed every bite of the steaming bowl of goodness,. The ambience and the cleanliness were on point, I was jamming out to some great 80s music the whole time. You will definitely see How much love and passion. This diner puts into it experience. I really appreciate their hard work. We loved it so much, that we returned the next day and tried their delicious Chilaquiles, lightly toasted tortillas with a subtle coat of sauce and fresh eggs. This place rocks!

    Birria tacos

While in Sonora, we had lunch at Escondite De La Torre. The birria tacos, drizzled with jalapeno sauce, are just as colorful as Claudette Zepeda's on the cover of the April 2020 issue of Food and Wine magazine. Mom's flour chicken taquitos were wrapped in flaky pastry, with a mild chipotle sauce and a spicier molcajete one that worked in conjunction.

    French Toast

My husband and I decided to stop by for breakfast on our weekend getaway to Sonora. I'm soo glad we stopped. We order the breakfast burrito and the French toast. It was absolutely delicious. We ordered coffee of course with our food and that too was great. The coffee had a hint of cinnamon which elevated it to a whole different level. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Not to mention the restaurant was very clean! 10/10 Highly recommend

I absolutely love this place. Great food at prices so low you think they've made a mistake. Friendly staff. What more can I say??

Came back AGAIN because of the fabulous food and pleasant staff. Pics are of the pastor burrito and the marvelously friendly and attentive waitress Alexandra. This is Sonora's hidden treasure for casual and well priced dining. Eat here!

Mimosa flight- Raspberry Orange and Cranberry

wonderful quick, casual, late night bite in downtown Sonora. The only place open in town past 9 to serve a full menu. The drinks and food are extremely affordable and well made. Nothing fancy- but they do simple food right! I go at least once a week for burritos, taquitos, or street tacos along with their mimosa flight.

This diner came in at $25, and we did order extra eggs and meat. Cute interior, I really liked touches like the 60's paint-by-numbers. My husband noticed a really cool vintage 50's electric guitar on the wall. We had the WHOLE DAMN place to ourselves. Another reviewer noted the owners are Asian and therefore can't cook American traditional foods. Um, Korean owned diners are definitely a thing in California, much like the Greek owned diners in NYC. And we're foodies, and we thought this breakfast was good.

Price wise it is reasonable until you see what you get. My husband wanted the ribeye but they were sold out so he got the New York. Wow it was the thinnest and stingiest piece of meat. Since we both ordered no potatoes and he doesn't eat toast. The eggs and thin steak looked even more sad. For $15 before tip and tax he was still hungry. This wasn't even more than 2 oz since it was paper thin. It was like shabu meat grilled. Yeah. I ordered the omelette but even that was tiny. I normally never finish my food but this one left me hungry. The interior looked like an old Japanese sushi restaurant but it was supposed to be a diner. You can see they didn't spend much on remodeling which is fine but the food quality and portion were both not good. If you are hungry don't come here. The steak was the worst thing we had in Sonora.

We love this place ... best hamburgers, great salads, wonderful specials…read more The portions are generous making the meals a good value. The wine list can satisfy the pickiest of palates. The option to sit outside makes this a great choice for summer evening dinners , but indoors is comfortable . It can be a tad loud if it is a busy time of day so for the hearing impaired that could be a challenge but ask if you could sit on the wine side , it is a little quieter. 90% of the time we have GREAT service but on occasion we have had to flag down server for help or to pay . But don't let that small chance deter you , the food will not disappoint.

However, I Visited on Mother's Day with my daughter and sister and had a completely different experience. I have a gluten allergy, one daughter has gluten sensitivity, and my other daughter has celiac disease. We informed our waitress that we needed gluten-free options and were told they were out of gluten-free buns but had gluten-free sourdough. After double-checking, the chef confirmed it was gluten-free. Something didn't seem right, so we asked to see the packaging. Wheat was listed as an ingredient. Thankfully, we caught the mistake before eating it. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, two of the gluten-free meals were still served with gluten-containing items, including a flour tortilla and the same bread we'd already identified as not gluten-free. The food itself was actually delicious, and I wish I could leave a more positive review based on that alone. However, for anyone with celiac disease, a gluten allergy, or a serious gluten sensitivity, accurate ingredient information is not optional--it's a health and safety issue. The repeated errors from both the kitchen and serving staff were extremely disappointing and left me with little confidence in their ability to safely accommodate gluten-free guests.

I ordered the chile verde omelet, and it was very good. It was flavorful and clearly something they do well. My server was very sweet and welcoming, which always matters to me. After I was seated, I was left alone for some time. It wasn't a big deal as I wasn't in a rush. As I mentioned, everyone was very friendly. If you are traveling through Jamestown, this place is worth a stop. It has a genuine local vibe and it feels like a spot the community truly supports.

My friend got the Chicken Pesto Sandwich with their garlic fries and their ranch (which was home made I tried it. YUM) the food was juicy and the milkshake was creamy with real ice cream. Absolutely delish!!!! The service was great per usual! Our server I've had before who is hilarious, SUPER good at serving I swear can triple task. Plus he was good at bringing me Dr Pepper and gave me one to go. Extra points for that!!!! If there's one thing I loooove it's my drinks and the faster I get them fresh the happier I personally am!!! The ambiance is very casual and usually packed to the bone!! The residents of the area are all friendly, the girls working behind the bar are sweethearts it's decorated with country style everything!
