My husband found Dark Aroma coffee after seeing they make Vietnamese coffee. He even came across a few reviews of customers mentioning a Coke and espresso drink (which he really wanted to try). My husband was greeted by the friendly staff who were more than happy to make the Coke and espresso drink for him. I got an iced Vietnamese coffee and it was perfect! It was strong with just the right amount of sweetness to it. It really did help give me that energy boost after being in the sun all morning. My husband really liked his Coke and espresso drink. I even took a few sips of his drink and it was so good. You can definitely taste the flavors of the rich and strong espresso with the soda. 10/10 for the friendly staff, great service, and delicious coffee. Normally I'd notice those things more, but then the bacon smell hit again and suddenly none of it seemed quite as important. I ordered two perfectly cooked over-medium eggs, sliced tomatoes (instead of potatoes), and a biscuit. I chose the biscuit over toast or an English muffin with absolutely no intention of eating it. My plan was to take it home for one of the kids. Then I took one bite. Friends, this was THE best biscuit I have ever eaten in my entire life. I don't throw around statements like that lightly. The building had previously housed another restaurant, but Morning Glory 2 has done an excellent job renovating the space. The space is a bright, clean, and welcoming dining room that feels fresh from the moment you walk in. Parking is available right in front of the restaurant on 2 different sides. As you face the building, the entrance is on the right side, where a friendly hostess greeted us and quickly seated us. The restaurant was spotless, and the updated interior gave it a much more open and comfortable feel. The menu offers the traditional breakfast and lunch favorites that most diners would expect, with a good variety of egg dishes, omelets, pancakes, sandwiches, and other classics. After looking over the menu, I decided on the Florida Man sandwich with the grits on the side (they normally are served ON the sandwich), while my wife ordered the scrambled eggs. Our waitress was wonderful throughout the meal, keeping our drinks filled, checking on us regularly, and making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The Florida Boy sandwich was excellent and easily the highlight of my meal. It was cooked well, full of flavor, and something I would definitely order again. I gave my side of grits to my wife to complete her simple order of scrambled eggs. Unfortunately the grits were a little thick and the eggs were a little overcooked. Aside from that, everything else about the meal was very enjoyable. Our total came to about $38, which seemed very reasonable for the quality of the food, the excellent service, and today's restaurant prices. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. Between the beautifully renovated spaces, attentive staff, good food, and reasonable prices, I would certainly recommend Morning Glory 2 to fellow travelers and anyone looking for a nice breakfast or lunch on South Patrick Drive.
