Lately , everytime i go, they are complaining the business is down. I am gonna tell you why! They started to charge you for credit card fees as well. I left a big compliant about that to Crossbay diner. Credit card fees belong to the establishments, NOT TO THE CUSTOMER. Think about it, customers pay tax ( thats a must! ), gotta a leave the tip to server. Now i gotta pay for the credit card fee too! Even it is a couple of bucks, that adds up right. People will think not twice, three times to go out and eat. For the short term, business might think that they got away with it, but in the long term, businesses like this won't survive. Let's come to my breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day. I am a complainer, i know that, but don't give me any extra reason to complain more. And you can learn from my perspective! I ordered eggs over easy with corned beef hash, fries and gravy. My eggs were over cooked, server got me new ones. It is not corned beef hash, IT WAS CORNED MUTTON. To me I don't care, i eat goat cheese and not a lot of people eat that. Mutton has a distinct taste, not everyone will appreciate that. Fires were good, but, gravy was too thick, probably from over night, needs to be loose and water down. Now, I don't need to ask my server every time, change this, change that. Before you serve it to me, you gotta make sure if you can eat that, or would you like to be served that kind a dish!!

Always delicious when I come here. I love the cheesecakes the best, burgers or omelettes and I always get the fries

You know a diner is a diner. But this is a place where the owners work alongside the employees and you see them enjoying the food on their breaks at the lunch counter. Everyday that have a choice of 4 homemade soups and classic dishes that are menu photo quality. My standard grilled cheese gets free slaw and a house made, half sour pickle. I forgot how big a cup and bowl of soup were and of course I chose the bowl, which ended up being a cereal bowl The servers are like your tough, Italian aunty who still loves to party and wear makeup, rough but sweet. It's a little dose of the well blended neighborhood this has become, the always make me feel welcome.

Agnieshka was our waitress, very nice and friendly. As we sat we were served complimentary cole slaw and a pickle. Good. The slaw coarse and creamy, the pickle crisp, cool and delightfully sour. We felt like sandwich night. I opted for a Chicken Salad & Bacon Triple Decker, substituted French Fries for a side salad. The Chicken Salad was kind of bland. Some seasoning with salt and pepper did the job. The bacon was crispy. Lettuce and tomato crisp and very fresh. The side salad perfect, Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, and Red Onions came with a side of creamy garlic dressing. The BLT standard. Too much lettuce on the sandwich. Nice firm tomato. The bread a bit too dark(toasted) for my taste. We capped the night sharing Bread Pudding a super generous size of moist pudding. You can taste the cinnamon. As the spoon goes deeper into the whipped cream and pudding, the bottom is vanilla custard like with golden raisings. Delicious. The espresso was bland. Atmosphere pleasant and the fact it's open 24/7 is a plus. Plenty parking available.

I didn't even try the food yet, but just in case I forget to, 5 out of 5 for service already. Very sweet staff members and accommodating when I came in to order take out. I did see other reviews on how the service is questionable but as a first time visitor I'm pleasantly surprised so far.

The exposed brick, greenery and neon "Let's Do Brunch" sign give it a fun vibe and make for some great pictures. It was quite busy when we were there, which wasn't surprising given its popularity. Our server, Syriah, was very good. She was friendly, attentive, made recommendations from the menu and even took our group photo for us -- and got a good one! We really appreciated her service. The food was good, although I wouldn't say it was exceptional. I've had better brunch food at other spots, but everything I had was enjoyable and nicely presented. I tried the mimosa flight, which was definitely fun and Instagram-worthy. The drinks were a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but Tropical Sunset was my favorite of the flight. And I have to mention the funniest part of the whole experience: before brunch, my Sorority sister kept texting me, "Let's do brunch." I kept responding, "Okay, WHERE?" She finally had to explain that LET'S DO BRUNCH was the name of the restaurant! So the place had us laughing before we even arrived. Overall, it's a cute, lively neighborhood spot with good food, fun drinks and very good service. I'd definitely recommend it for a casual girls' brunch or get-together -- just expect a crowd because apparently everybody else has decided to "Let's Do Brunch" too.

My wife and I went on July 8th so I'm a little late with this review, but overall we had a pleasant experience. Service was a little slow, but it was pretty busy so that's understandable. We really enjoyed our meals--she had the chicken and waffles (pictured) and I had the steak, eggs with fries instead of homefries (not pictured because I dug into almost immediately). The chicken was flavorful and the waffles soft and fluffy. I am a Well Done Beef Warrior and the steak was well done without being dry and tough. We didn't love the cheesesteak eggrolls much as they were oily and had a weird aftertaste. Wouldn't order that but would absolutely go again for the mains. Also, PLEASE get the Dulce De Leche iced coffee, it's incredible. I had one with my meal and ordered another to go.

The music and elegance of the atmosphere was rejuvenating and relaxing. I was so glad we walked into this beautiful hidden gem on Jamaica Avenue. I couldn't believe that such a place existed here. I felt like I walked into a restaurant in Manhattan. We started with drinks. Kids drinks came in plastic containers while adult drinks came in glass ones. We ordered Diet Coke, Sprite, Mango juice and Strawberry juice. The juices were thirst quenching and hydrating. We had steak and eggs for the 1st time and it was perfectly pink in the center with a crispy, juicy exterior. The potatoes were just right. The Eggs Benedict was just right with the yolk oozing out after you bite into it. The fettuccine Alfredo was sauced just right, not too much or too little. The California Omelette was delicious and done just right. The kids pancake was just the way our kids liked them, with sliced strawberries on top. The strawberries were so yummy, we ordered a side of them just for our kids to munch on. It was smart to give our kids crayons to draw on the paper tablecloth. It kept them busy and helped our family create a happy memory of tic-tac-toe between parents and kids. POP's Cocina & Bar definitely deserves my Yummylicious Stamp of Approval and two thumbs up! I ordered Chicharon de Pollo with rice and beans, a common, no nonsense dish. It was soon presented exquisitely with three dishes Manhattan style and nicely garnered. Sorry no picture as I soon asked for a regular plate to eat my food all together Dominican Style. Brick walls accented with floor to ceiling windows and nuvo chic music with a heavy downbeat competed for my attention. I honestly thought this was a typical diner. So the restaurant was a total surprise. The Chicharon just chicken breast, cut and fried. But it was acceptable. Ugh. 4% service charge. Not cool. I still tipped well but the meal was already over priced. I was willing to make an exception but I also had to wait at the bar for my final bill.

I heard him making jokes with customers and asking people for feedback. Now to the rest of it: service is weird and slow. When we were seated, we had to wait a little bit until receiving menus. Water wasn't automatically given to us also, so you have to ask. A woman took down our order, but later asked if we got waffles, even though I said pancakes - overall took 25 minutes to get our order of a salad and pancakes. Pancake platter came with two pancakes, two eggs, and a couple berries on the side. There's also an option to add sausage or bacon but no price there, which adds to the confusion. When we pointed it out, they removed the charge from our bill. There were maybe 3 people who stood behind the coffee bar which is kind of around a corner, making it hard to get service if you're not in their field of vision. Kind of strange there isn't a clear welcoming desk or something like that. Also, I think the menu uses AI as photos - there's a picture of a burger with fries and chips, but I don't think they serve chips. There's also a picture of cake with garlic next to it, which could be an artistic choice. We didn't get any drinks, but there was a table next to us who abandoned their full cups of Nutella lattes which was interesting.
