I waited 30 mins or so for this! Doesn't even look appetizing. I need a refund. This is not okay!

Kids corner. Low to the ground.

This place is not closed. It's located inside the Sofitel hotel. We went there for breakfast and it was great! Service was super friendly, buffet looked high quality and fresh. There's a little kids table that's low to the ground and has chocolate muffins, cookies, and waffles. There's also some sort of donut wall. See pic. Yoghurt, fruit, coffee, eggs, baguettes and other breads, honey, jams, cheese...everything was delicious. Buffet is about $35 plus tip and tax. Tip is automatically included.

My family from out of town were staying at Sofitel so we decided to have Saturday brunch there this past weekend. The decor and ambiance for the brunch was beyond adorable (french themed) and the outdoor patio was the epitome of what a brunch in Los Angeles should resemble. However, I was fairly disappointed with the lack of flavor in most of the dishes. The omelette was bland and nothing special. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to dine here again in the near future compared to the other dining spots in west Los Angeles. However, I would give the restaurant five stars for impeccable staff and service.

Free Creme Brulee for the birthday celebrant. And it was delicious.

Came back three weeks ago to treat one of my nieces for birthday brunch. This place has a nice patio. We enjoyed dining there even though there was a heat wave. So anyway, my nieces each had Eggs Benedict, and I had . . . the Salmon Eggs Benedict. It came with a side dish so I ordered the Garlic Kale. The Garlic Kale was quite a good serving but it did not taste anything special. It was just so-so. (Unlike Forage in Silver Lake which does wonders with its Kale-and-Arugula Salad. https://www.yelp.com/biz/forage-los-angeles) Back to the Benedict Salmon, it was just okay. I prefer Admiral Risty's Salmon Gravlax Benedict. https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-admiral-risty-rancho-palos-verdes?q=benedict My glass of Chardonnay was a good price at $10. And it tasted good. The Coke was $6, which is kinda expensive. It came with free refills though. We also had a glass of Mimosa ($9). They also offer Bottomless Mimosas at $18. Not bad. Service was really nice. And they gave us a complimentary Crème Brûlée for my niece's birthday. My celebrant niece and my other niece loved it. And it was photogenic too! Thank you, Esterel! (Parking: Valet for $8. And few weeks after, I learned it went up to $12. Well lucky us!)

It's a romantic and lovely dining room, there is a patio as well. The service here was exceptional. We were promptly greeted and the host and server both explained the Breakfast table (buffet) was new and $25pp. I like that they tell you right away. We weren't in the mood for too much food, so we opted for an a la carte breakfast. Our kind server also let us know that they will serve off the room service menu too, so we ordered -French Press coffee $12 - lovely brew, second cup was darker which we prefer -Corned Beef Hash (all house made and fresh! not canned!) $16 - this was wonderful. The corned beef was sliced the size of the potato hash, and cooked with the hash, so some pieces were crispy and some were soft - we liked that it had a crusty layer then a soft layer. Two poached eggs served on top. Side of sourdough bread was absolutely scrumptious - housemade as well. and the Yogurt Parfait - with fresh berries and housemade granola - just delicious - a bit tangy, sweet and crunchy. -a basket of their pastry accompanied a la carte orders - we were so full, we were able to take those home in a gorgeous to go container. Our server was attentive, and had some wonderful suggestions for us. I'd come back anytime.

OBSESSED WITH THIS PLACE!! best way to have the first brunch of 2017 here at Esterel. located inside the Sofitel hotel on Beverly Blvd. AMBIANCE French themed. Everything is so chic and so beautifully decorated. Sofitel hotel in itself is beautiful already but Esterel is exxxtttrrraaaa. Inside is Modern decor of blue and mustard yellow with unique lighting fixture on top of every table top. mirrors everywhere. Outside is magical with beautiful greenery, french garden patio setting. in the back is a lounge with more mirrors and couches with different and most intricate lanterns SERVICE service was impeccable! omgggg probably THEE best service i have ever had in all of my Yelp life!!!! from our server Sandra to the restaurant manager Martha, they were so attentive, overwhelming with the hospitality, accomodating and super friendly. service is everything to me and they delivered to the T. FOOD on top of extraordinary service, food was amazing. $17 ESTEREL BREAKFAST WRAP: scrambled eggs, chorizo, bell peppers, avocado, jack cheese -- comes with 2 sides, decided on rosemary potatoes and side of fruit. this wrap was so delicious. healthy eats , light and not greasy at all with the chorizo $23 LOBSTER BENEDICT: sauteed spinach, tomatoes on olive bread with hollaindase sauce and 1 side. i opted for carbs, rosemary potatoes!!! OMG THIS WAS LIFE! my all time favorite brunch dish. here was no exception! generous lobster chunks, cooked perfectly! the olive bread added crunchiness to every bite. i would also like to say that price is not that bad for this type of dish. MUST TRY! $18 BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS this place is my new found brunch spot for sure. definitely will be coming back on top of the most impeccable service is bomb ass food!

    Fairy garden

I came here hoping to see a real life mystical fairy standing next to a jar of honey and talking Shakespearean to me. Instead, I saw a hummingbird and lots of butterflies. The courtyard looks like a page from a fairytale story book. It would be perfect if prince charming was next to me, pouring tea and cutting the food into tiny pieces before placing into my mouth and seal it with a kiss. Instead, I was with a toad. He annoyed the ghe out of me. That's when Sergio came to my rescue. Sergio quickly brought out my Sparkled wine with Peach puree and a mojito to tame that toad. The Peach puree was so refreshing and almost at an instant forgot who I was with. A very joyful lady welcomed us to her courtyard and brought out the rest of the dishes. We had truffle mushroom flatbread. A must. Good for sharing and very airy crispy. A wagyu beef patty burger with nicely seasoned fries. I couldn't take my eyes off these fries. (It's an excuse so I didn't have to look at him.....) and an omelets.

    Tomato burrata salad
    Christine K.

Beautiful restaurant, great service, ok food. We had the tomato burrata salad, wild mushroom flatbread, new york steak, peanut butter mousse and chocolate cake. Everything was ok but the steak is what really ruined the meal. The edges were so charred it made everything bitter. Won't be returning.

We sat in the lounge area and it was perfect. Got the ham appetizer, the burger, fries, and the raspberry sorbet dessert. Everything was incredible, one of the best burgers I've had in Los Angeles. Service was also great. I even called about an hour after I got home because I started getting a scratchy throat and realized I didn't specifically ask if there were strawberries in the raspberry sorbet (I'm allergic and that was completely my mistake for not double checking before I chowed down) but the host that answered was super nice, I could hear in the background her double checking with a server, who then even double checked with the kitchen to make sure they were giving me the correct answer which I really really appreciate. Side note, no strawberries in the sorbet I'll most definitely be returning here in the future.

We ordered a bunch of cocktails along with a few glasses of red wine and champagne. The cocktails were definitely the highlight. We tried the Blackberry, Cucumber, Snow Pea, Tomato, and Daikon. The Tomato cocktail was my favorite by far -- savory, balanced, and not overly sweet. Blackberry was a close second, really refreshing and easy to drink. My first glass of champagne was unfortunately flat and pretty gross but to their credit they replaced it immediately once I mentioned it. Still, for an upscale restaurant, that was a little annoying to begin with. For food, we got the asparagus, burger, fries, abalone, and the bluefin tuna belly deviled eggs. The abalone was easily the standout dish of the night. Everything else ranged from just okay to forgettable. The burger sucked. Overall, I'd come back for drinks and would give the food another shot since the menu changes pretty frequently but this particular meal didn't totally hit for me.

Started with drinks and, honestly, can't remember what everyone ordered. I got a Desert Quench which has a tequila base and flavors of bergamot, lime, raspberry and mango. Tasted great, no complaints. For food, we started with the bone marrow and meatballs. The bone marrow was like most bone marrow, you now what you're going to get, while the meatballs were underwhelming. They didn't look appealing in terms of color and flavor was lacking. Entrees, we each tried something different. The steak frites was cooked to order but really didn't set itself apart from other frites. The trout was cooked well, and seasoned nicely, but the purple cauliflower puree, for me, didn't come together in terms of presentation for the dish. The pistachio pesto pasta was very flavorful, mixing in the burrata on top and then the little pops of spice from the chili flakes.. Just a nice bite. Finally was the double wagyu burger with caramelized onions, American cheese and a sauce emulsified with bacon. Very tasty, and those caramelized onions just added another level to each bite. Overall, nice spot in WeHo serving up some tasty cocktails and decent food. Definitely get the pistachio pesto and double wagyu burger, but you can skip the bone marrow, meatballs, frites and trout.
