We've been going to Morro Bay since 1987, but this was the first time we got out on the water. It was a great experience!!! The boat was super clean and sanitized. We know - we could see the boats from our balcony, and we saw the care the staff put into cleaning. They even provide warm blankets, which are washed for each outing. The staff were really welcoming, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They push you out away from the dock, and they guide you back in. Driving the boat was easy. The boats are roomy and comfortable, and you can stand up and walk inside the boat. Also, they're covered, so no worries about getting sunburned. They give discounts to guests at their hotels, and also to locals in the 805 area code. We went as a couple and had a great time, but you could bring a group for the same price. You could have a meal out there on the water. Bottom line: well maintained equipment; professional staff; worth the money. read more

I went back to Estero Adventures and was met by the wonderful Bailey again! This time I took my brother and his boyfriend on the rental electric boat. Check-in and set up was quick and easy. Bailey's instructions were clear and concise about operating the boat. Please pay attention to Bailey's instructions about where to drive the boat! You do not want to get stuck in the shallow parts of the bay. You must be 25+ years old to operate the boat. There is a bluetooth speaker you can connect to play music if you're feeling festive. The electric boats have zipper covers to help shield from the wind, but are also so clean and clear so you won't miss any views! read more

We took a boat out into the marina. All the staff was super friendly and was gave us instructions in great detail that was very helpful. It was a great experience the boat was super clean. One of the windows was cracked but they apologized for that and to me it didn't even matter. We paid $99 for two people for one hour and any additional person would've been $10 more. The boat fits eight people so it can actually be a pretty inexpensive experience for a party of six or more. We got super close to the sea lions and that was the highlight of my day! Beautiful view through our beautiful views and super fun to actually operatable operate a boat it was super easy. It and you're allowed to bring food onto the boat so we actually had our lunch while boating. Don't forget to leave a tip! read more

As others have said, the boats are pretty new and are immaculate. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice, and explained how everything worked very well. An hour is just enough time to get from one end of the "route" to the other and back to the dock, while having some time to stop and watch the sea lions (from a safe distance). If you time your rental to coincide with high tide, you run less risk of scraping the bottom. Either way, stay within the designated zone and you'll be fine. $95 for two people seemed an eensy bit high but the only other electric boat rental in town is even more, so.... All in all, highly recommended for a nice meditative hour on the water. read more

Super Cool! This was our first trip out since the pandemic and we all had so much fun. Check in was a breeze after completing the online portion. All the employees wore mask, pens and clip boards went into a dirty pile after using to be sanitized, the office is super open and we all felt really safe. The boat was super clean and nice. There were seven in our group and we were all comfortable with plenty of room to move around or stand. I recommend a two hour rental if you are planning on having a picnic. If not, the hour will get you a tour around both ends of the harbor. Lastly, you can rent a kayak if you want to exert some energy and get a work out. What ever you choose, you can have the confidence that Estero's focus on keeping its customers safe is #1. Amazing service! Walked up mid day on Sunday and sadly they were booked yntil later for the electric boats and all the single rider kayaks had been booked. Offered the tandem kayak. Thought about it and tried 4 other places all who were sold out as well. Booked and wow! What an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and nice and helpful. Eased our fears of doing a tandem kayak (first for both of us but I've been single kayaking many times before) their equipment was in very good condition and was given a few tips and tricks. It was high tide and was told it would be best to go across the bay and come back with the tide. Had an amazing time and I'd highly recommend them. The boat was nice but the customer service is horrific. The woman at the front desk desk, supposedly in charge, sat on her personal cell phone and completely ignored my husband saying "just write down your number and I'll call you." She never called. I vaped twice out the window twice during the ride. When we arrived back she said "oh did you vape in here smells soooo bad. The owner is going to charge you." I just got charged 45 dollars. What a disappointment. The young gentleman was so sweet but that woman should find a job that makes her happy because clearly she's not!! read more

Vanessa called me the day before to tell me there would be high winds and rescheduled with me. We arrived with my elderly parents in wheelchairs . My family and I rented an electric-powered pontoon boat on a recent trip to Morro Bay. Our experience was great from start to finish. We did all of the paperwork online when we reserved our boat and this saved a lot of time. Upon arrival at Estero they were very well prepared for us and after a short tutorial, we were on our way. The boat was impressively clean and well-maintained. I recommend the 2-hour booking as we easily took well over an hour and a half to travel the recommended path at a sightseeing pace. All of the employees were attentive and personable while still making sure you know what you need to know (driving a boat is a newer experience for some of us!) The afternoon electric boat cruise we took was one of wonderful memories. Our Grandson had fun seeing the otters with their pups frolic in the bay near the monolithic Morro Rock. He kept looking for the seals that swam by as we floated near the landing that seals were sunning themselves on. We were able to see all this in an hour cruise but I'd schedule a longer cruise if your schedule permits. Thank you to the Staff that made the experience very pleasurable. Front desk - Vanessa was super nice and very helpful for accommodating the entire group - as where to go, how to maneuver the boat. Boat itself was super clean, and super easy to drive. Looked at other rentals nearby before booking 1 hr online, but boat that estero adventures is much bigger, private that allowed us to have a good family time in morro bay. The Estero was booked, which is why we didn't stay here. This has been my parent's only and favorite hotel for years! they've been visiting Morrow Bay for over 20 years..I was super excited to see them offer boating, tandem kayaking, and bikes!! My fiance' and I just did our amazing adventure 6/12. We had soo much fun!! Bailey is an absolute delight!!! Very personable, and informative! She made us feel very comfortable and safe, as it was my first time kayaking. I was then worried I might be cold on the water, and she let me borrow a spare jacket. Let me repeat... She graciously lent me a jacket of hers! We actually wanted to go again on Friday because it was that darn cool!! It was all good, but when we got close to the seals, I made sure to stay HELLLLLA far from them! ( thinks about that youtube video of the seal pulling that kid in the water) All in all, I will only patronize them. We also met the owner's kid, Kate who was such a cute little gem. My wife planned a birthday trip for us to Morro Bay. We stayed at the Estero Inn (very nice) and then we took a ride on one of the Estero electric boats. Not being much of a mariner, I found the whole experience really fun! The staff showed us how to use the boat, the planned route and emergency procedures and explained everything very clearly. It was a fun trip around most of the deeper parts of the bay. The boats are very clean, appears to be well maintained and just fun to drive. Yes, I'd do it again! read more

The staff were awesome and actually gave us a recommendation for a 2 hour beach ride on the north side of the rock which was perfect! This ended up being our favorite part of our 4th of July weekend. Estero Adventures is a wonderful place to rent a variety of water sport experiences. We rented one of their 2 electric boats for cruising around the harbor and enjoying a picnic lunch while on board. I was impressed how nice our boat was and didn't expect that level of luxury. It was quite cool outside the day we went, and I appreciated that the sides of the boat had thick plastic "windows" to help keto us warm but were clean and new, so we could see perfectly. There were still a couple open areas for fresh air, so I'm still glad we had light jackets. The awesome blue tooth sound system was totally unexpected! We steamed our favorite music the whole time and it really added to our cool atmosphere. We were just a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, but we easily could have fit 4 more people and been comfortable. I don't know what the max capacity is, but we sure had lots of space for us 4. Before departure, an employee (Bailey I believe?) went over in detail with a laminated map that we got to keep on the boat, exactly where we could and could not go and gave us other tips on safety and things to see. We really appreciated her clear instructions and felt confident when we left. All in all, I would highly recommend Estero sports for their electric motor boat rental, it is worth every penny and if you have kids, they will be beyond thrilled with it! The boat would also be super cool for a sunset cruise around the harbor with family or friends. Estero sports also tents kayaks and paddle boards and possibly other things too, but we just experienced the electric boat. Can't wait to do it again next time we are in town!!! read more
