ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. I can understand when an order may be wrong, but make it right; not only did they refuse to rectify the matter, but when I ordered again after being told it would be given on my next purchase for free, they made an excuse that the person I spoke with isn't there and they can't verify what I'm saying.(why not leave a note?) to make matters worse, when you order online, the restaurant helps themselves to a tip without your authorization. This places lack integrity and customer service. Last time I ever order from here, I recommend the many other great Mexican restaurants around the area. read more

I am definitely one of those CA snobs who did nothing but complain about the Mexican food in NY - until I found this place (and maybe the Calexico cart in Manhattan). The food here is as authentic as it gets - white queso, jalapenos, tamales. Mmm... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! I've tried the enchiladas, tacos, burritos, and some of their other more interesting plates and nothing's let me down. Still, my absolute fave are their steak tacos with everything on them. I checked out the "number 4" location, since there are so many located throughout the bx.. I was craving some authentic Mexican, and wanted to try something other than my usual spot in parkchester (ahem, you know the competitors name). I have to say, the food was quite tasty but the service was not great. I went on a Saturday night, was seated quickly, but didn't get drinks or napkins or utensils until a half hour into my seating. It was not busy, so that is no excuse. The food was on par, and I have no complaints there, but expect to wait a while for service. read more

I would say that this place is pretty "legit" the guacamole is a must. And the salsa that they give with the tortilla chips as you await your order is pretty darn fantastic. Since I prefer things that are more towards the vegetarian side I would recommend that they would put more vegetarian options. The Mexican rice and beans were really good. Nothing mediocre. Went there with a Spanish speaking friend and the order came out right food was very good.went there a second time smoked pork chops was on the menu so I ordered them when it came out it wasn't pork it was ham chops I called the waitress over and told her of the mistake she called the manger over I told her what had happened and can I order something else and she said yes but I would have to pay for what she thought was pork chops. That is the first time I went to a Resturant got the wrong order and was asked to pay for it it's obvious they don't know the difference between pork and ham, even if they thought they were right they should have given the customer the benafit of the daught by the way I did pay for them. Just wanted to let you know my experience there I hope they hire people that know the difference btwn pork and ham. read more

If you want REAL Mexcian Food, come here! This place is LEGIT! I remember when it was this ugly worn out place that barely had any room for its costumers but the place never stopped it from being packed. Now it has 4 different locations & the food never gets old! The tacos are amazing, so are their quesadilla's. The guacamole is out of this world, & their spices are phenominal. I swear if I die the last meal I'd want to enjoy is their food! & might I add they sell Dos Equis for those Dos Equis lovers haha! If I go to a Mexican restaurant, I always compare it to this place, because they're the best. It's true, you know it's gotta be good if the majority of the patrons are actually Mexican, because they know. The waitresses are super nice, even if you don't speak Spanish, which I appreciate. The food is soooo delicious and the prices cannot be beat. I usually get their tacos and beans and rice. Best black beans I've ever had. The portions are very generous as well. I also recommend the coconut flan over the regular one. And lastly, they stay open later than anyone else in Parkchester, so you don't have to resort to crappy food at 11pm. So just go. read more

Cheap eats for a taco! It's very Mexican - not like chipotle , this is real Mexican! The chips and salsa are complimentary and addictive

This is by far the best mexican restaurant in our neighborhood. Customer service on point, delivery is a little slow but totatly worth the wait for the quality and understandable because of the high demand this rest have all day long. I heard they have live mariachi on the weekend nights. Regarding the food from breakfast to dinner... The classic "antojitos " tacos, nachos , tamales are great and soooo meaty but my favorite is a super long and slowly braised pulled pork cooked wrapped in plaintain leaves called "cochinita pibil" serves with rice and sweet plantains. I went here with my family for my step sister's graduation dinner. It was a Thursday night around 6pm and the dining room was surprisingly full but not to the point where there was a wait. We had a six person table and were seated rather quickly. The margaritas, mojitos, and sangria were $5 during happy hour (ending at 7pm or 8pm if my memory serves me right) which is a steal at an authentic Mexican restaurant like this one. I don't remember if the flavored margaritas were extra but they had really good flavor options; strawberry, passionfruit, mango, and TUNA aka prickly pear. Sadly the tuna was out but the guava still sufficed! For dinner, I ordered a dish that was on the dinner entrée special sheet that came on the laminated sheet that came separate from the regular menu ($10-$13). The dish was chicken covered in a chipotle sauce with a side of guacamole and rice and beans. The chicken was super tender and had the right amount of spice. My ordered the enchiladas, and to the both of our surprise, they were wrapped in flour tortillas rather than corn. Being that this is such an authentic restaurant we were thoroughly surprised and disappointed--flour tortilla enchiladas are ridiculously soggy. All in all, I would definitely go back! I came here on a Friday around 6:30 PM after the pool. My friend and I order a large size of nachos which was just okay. I had a Corona she had piña colada with Rum and we ordered two sodas for our kids and the bill was about $33. This place is nothing special at all besides the mariachi band, but I think they were a little too loud during the daytime. read more

Was in the mood for authentic Mexican food in my neighborhood and this place hit the spot. Not only that, but they have amazing margaritas! The house special is great, made with patron and only ten bucks. The others are $8. The prices were reasonable and the establishment was nice and clean. Apparently they stay open till 1AM on the weekends and midnight the rest of the week. I will defintiely be going back. read more

Now this restaurant is a great restaurant. The food is healthy, fresh and well seasoned. The wait time is stellar, you wait about 10 minutes after you order. While you wait you are instantly addressed with your drink and chips with salsa. You leave this restaurant feeling filled and not bloated like an applebees. Where do I begin? It's extremely loud with the mariachi band coming to every table. I guess you have to be in the mood for it. We order our drinks, margarita for my husband and a jalapeño margarita for myself, tasty. Our food came pretty quickly, during our meal my husband kept looking down on the floor and stomping his feet. I asked him if he was ok and he said yes?? Once we left, I asked him again if everything was ok and his answer almost made me throw up. Food is okay and I have had a good experience in the past with delivery but this evening was beyond late. When the delivery had not arrived 10 minutes past the estimated time I gave the restaurant a call and they said it would be here in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later I called again to let them know it was still not here and they replied "very busy". It has now been 45 minutes and the food is still not here, with no word from the restaurant. Due to their online ordering system I tipped in advance which now seems like a mistake. Worst experience , we went thinking that it was a fresh and flavour food , the service was terrible the waitress don't now her menu (except the bus boy he was marvellous ) she take the rong order we asked for the cemita de milanesa de res and she brings me the res ,( steak) we asked also for the chicken fideo soup and she brings me de tortilla soup and for the main course I asked for the cochinita pibil. The dish was cold and extremely condiment I expected a better food for the $ 68 dollars that I wasn't thinking will to this horrible experience . Definitely a never go back again. read more
