The best chicken fajita ever, and I've had them at numerous places. The food was flavorful, everything looked and tasted fresh. I would recommend that you eat at the restaurant. I won't be going back due to how I was treated. The staff act as if they're doing you a favor rather than welcoming you in and treating you as an actual customer. They kept ignoring my requests and pointing to the menu. They didn't take my requests seriously when they needed to regarding I suffer from extreme allergies that can put me into Anaphylactic shock. The music is extremely loud so if you have a specific order you want to place you have to scream your order to them. Even when I projected my voice while ordering they got my entire order wrong and got mad at me when I told them I can not eat that due to medical issues. They don't take the necessary sanitary precautions, people walk in and out of the kitchen without washing their hands ( the kitchen is visible). Or wearing hair nets, the women have their hair out and not in a ponytail. They also allow guests to go behind the counter from what I saw while I sat waiting for my food. The workers will laugh in your face, target and harass you if you don't speak Spanish as well as give you dirty looks and talk about you right in front of your face. Ordered Uber eats. They have the best fish tacos I've tried in the Bronx soooo far and they don't taste like anything so the sauce comes in handy. Great shrimp tacos too. Recently found out that they are a sit down restaurant by Pchester and Castle Hill so I will be stopping by. I also got the chorizo and it was just a biiit TOOO idk I can't say flavourful bc I like that but it was a bit overwhelming on the tongue to say the list. Great food. The proportions are pretty big. I always order delivery. The reason why it's 3 stars is the delivery guy. It's been 3 times it's been by the same guy and he rounds up the price. When I used to order Carnitas to take out they used to give you a full container of Carnitas that you could hardly close now they only give you less than half of container with gordito not meat for the same price is ridiculous. Food is awesome. Staff is friendly and attentive. Friday and Saturday happy hours are awesome. Order the Margaritas and Pina Coladas. Fridays and Saturdays have Karaoke and a live DJ and MC who entertains the patrons. El Texano is a Parkchester neighborhood secret spot which should not be kept a secret. Check it out for yourself. Its now too late to order somewhere else. We're starving and have to scrounge our empty fridge for something to eat for the night. Never again! They finally answered the phone at 10:44 and while we are asking about our food, "we closed, no we closed" and hung up on us. They are advertised to be open until 11pm! Would give zero stars if possible, terrible customer service and doesn't hold its delivery boys accountable. They will not ring your doorbell. Too much issues with deliveries and orders for just okay food. They will argue with you and make the customers feel as if they're wrong. And here I am thinking that the customers should be treated fair and respectful as they help support the business. But for El Texano that's not the case.
