I have been coming here for years and have finally gotten around to writing a review. First of all, despite being primarily a surf shop, E.T surf also has snowboards, roller skates, and skateboards along with gear associated with all of those sports. So if you're looking for any of those things, drop in to E.T. One of the things I love about E.T is that they're family owned and they really take the time to know the pulse of the community. Case in point is that they recently started stocking Impala roller skates, so if you're looking for some roller skates I haven't seen them anywhere else in the area. They also now have e-bikes too. The store is two stories and laid out really thoughtfully. It doesn't have the generic corporate feel that all of the mainstream corporate stores have. I love even just walking around and browsing without anything in mind. If you appreciate surf shops you'll love walking around here. The thing that really sets E.T apart from all the other surf shops though is that as a family owned store, the service here is second to none. Any time you come in here all of the staff will be not just friendly but will go above and beyond to help you out. What actually prompted me to finally write a review for here is that I bought a Carver skateboard here and was having some problems with the trucks. They have skate shop area at the front with all sorts of tools/nuts/bolts etc for skateboard. The guy not only helped me out with the Carver, but I also brought in another board (that I didn't buy at ET) I was having problems with and he helped me out with that too. Of course I can't write this review without talking about wetsuits. Wetsuits are a big pain in the butt to put on and take off and when you're not in the water they get HOT. E.T is the only place I've ever been to that has air conditioned changing rooms specifically for trying on wetsuits. If you're looking for a wetsuit this is the place to go. They also have a great selection to choose from. Lastly, E.T prices cannot be beat. They pride themselves on having the lowest prices of anywhere and seriously, even online you won't find a better deal. I got my Carver for 200 bucks and the exact same model is $220 online. I really wanted this shop to be my go-to for snowboard tuning. Unfortunately, the last time I got a full tune, they decided to use black PTEX instead of clear to fill some gashes. The bottom of my board is lime green so instead of using clear PTEX and having the board return to looking new, I have black streaks all over the bottom and it looks like crap. If you have the option to use clear or black- best go with clear on a non-black board. One of the employees told me it gives it character which pissed me off even more. Seriously the best surf shop in all SoCal. Authentic, genuine surfers helping other surfers out. Great consultations when it comes to buying a new board- great/friendly/helpful staff. ET is the place that you want to go to buy skateboards, surfboards, snowboards, or anything relating to those. Daniel the manager is constantly sought out for his expertise, guys like Kyle, Cade, tucker, Will, Tommy, Trevor, etc. are always around to offer help without acting like pushy salesman like some other shops. Since I've started surfing, I've bought and sold boards here, spent countless hours in the shop and they have so many boards, it's a joy to go look at them and even just talk to the guys about the different prospective boards I'd like to buy next. Lastly, and what I believe to be most important, is the customer service. Daniel and these guys are literally THE MODEL for what customer service looks like. Paired with their huge selection and motivation to get their hands on whatever the customer wants, it just makes ET the premier shop for any boarding sport! Can't say enough good things about this place. Gear is great, sick board selection, and more importantly trustworthy service. Any time I'm about to get a new board I try to give ET my business because the employees are what make this store. Good surf shop with a nice selection of boards. I came down here looking for an average wave board. I had my eye on a Lost or a Chilli, and Sonny pulled out a CI board that had a similar outline, but thinner rails and a mini swallow tail. It wouldn't have been on my radar, but he explained why it might work better for me. Really friendly and helpful advice. update: I rode my new board for the first time, and it was definitely a step up compared to the one I am trying to replace. This is the best surf shop in LA County. Their pricing is honest, the sales guys are helpful, and they actually do go out of their way to help if there's a problem or you need some form of assistance. Been coming here since the late 70's when I was a kid to buy clothes, skateboards and surf stuff. I now live in Nevada and still drop by everytime I'm visiting the South Bay to buy shirts. So, my wife would love to buy some good surf brands but she is always disappointed, she can get Billabong, Quicksilver and other brands like that at any Pac Sun in the country. You guys need more ET shirts, Ripcurl, Channel Islands and stuff like that in women's sizes...and not just for flat chested women...real women too. Also how about more stuff for kids, maybe their own "brand" like "ET Kids"....you guys have a couple of shirts but everytime I'm in ET there are kids of all ages running around....make shirts for them! First thing I would like to say is Tommy is very friendly young man great customer service. My son is 11 and he want to learn how to surf so we googled and they are open during the coronavirus outside precautions. They have it very well organized data table set outside. We picked up several things a wetsuit aboard and bootie shoes. We are about 40 to 45 minutes from them but during this time there is no traffic lol.
