I have been ordering from ETO Doors since 2016 and I've generally had good experiences. However, this recent order was particularly challenging. I placed an order for my client's door in October 2024, expecting a smooth process. Unfortunately, the order was delayed multiple times, and I eventually had to change the door. I was initially told by my sales representative that the stock door would take two weeks, but it ended up taking an additional two months. To make matters worse, my sales rep failed to inform me of the delays--I had to repeatedly follow up, which was frustrating and time-consuming. At one point, I seriously considered canceling my order due to the lack of communication and unresponsiveness from the sales rep. Thankfully, I reached out to customer service and spoke with Josh, who turned the situation around. Josh was professional, responsive, and proactive in addressing my concerns. He consistently followed through and kept me updated, demonstrating a level of integrity that was greatly appreciated. Beautiful mahogany door with a speakeasy door, I research a lot of different doors, especially through all the different competitors as we were building a house and I'm the general contractor. This door is super thick, very well made, and the iron work on the rivets through the door. Gives it a really rustic look. The speakeasy grill is super heavy gauge steel in the wood was finished very nicely. Hardly any sanding was needed for the stain-but we did anyway obviously. We live up in the northwest so from Los Angeles. They did a very nice job of crating it up and it arrived , two weeks earlier than planned which was about seven weeks as they had to make it from scratch, but it was worth the wait. The communication was excellent. Every time I called. I talked with our sales person, and super quick on communication. She was fantastic and the price was great although once you add the freight charges in the crating charges, it was about comparable to what we could've bought up here but the quality is much better in my opinion. It's awesome to have an American company based in Los Angeles that actually makes quality top notch doors. This is gonna look beautiful on our brand new home. You should have zero worries at all dealing with ETO, even though they're not in your backyard the trust relationship is at 100% and so is the quality. I would definitely use them again. read more

The doors themselves are beautiful but we placed our order in June 2025. Received most of the doors in January 2026 but we are still missing 4 doors from the order. There has been no communication and we have no idea when/if we will see the remaining 4 doors that were ordered. Be aware that although you are dealing with a company in California, the doors are made and shipped from China causing serious delays. They are completely none communicative now. No answers on where our doors are or if/when we will be getting them. read more

I ordered 8 ea interior mahogany doors in April 2025. Was told they would arrive to me in Panama City, FL approximately 6-7 weeks later which would have been mid to late July 2025. Paid for them. They landed Los Angeles August 23rd from overseas. I understand they needed to be uncrated, attached to pre-hung frames, recrated and shipped. He was super helpful in sending photos of color/glass options in person instead of using the online service, and the lead time was correct/the door arrived in about less than 2 weeks! Ordered 14(!) doors from these guys in February...paying that five figure bill has been the only easy part. Here's where we're at about 7mos later... Initial delivery of the doors took forever, with several follow-ups needed to see how things were progressing. We were given a six week promise date, actually shipped in 8 after some nudging. Once the doors left the warehouse we needed to negotiate with the freight company for delivery for a few additional weeks. I know that's not (necessarily) on ETO, but they weren't exactly pushing on their end. Once the doors were delivered, an entire pallet was missing, one door was damaged, and several doors were incorrect (we received three fire doors despite a phone call to prevent this from happening. I sent photos of the damaged door, filed a claim on the missing doors, and even paid for a new door altogether. Same fiasco happened with freight and shipping time. Long waits to ship, longer to deliver. Finally had to bribe a driver to back his truck up our driveway rather than leave them on the street. And? Didn't receive all the doors! Still missing a replacement for the damaged door, still missing the extra door we paid for...and now ETO is unresponsive to any questions. Christian, Josh, Nick, Lorena...talking about you here. Repeatedly told my order was complete despite clear documentation that wasn't the case. 100% would never recommend these guys, now working on chargebacks via my credit card to resolve things. read more

I ordered 3 Mahogany entry doors from ETO. I paid in full as required for my order. Several days pass and I get an email that my door style has been discontinued and ETO requests I select another door style. I searched their other door options and found nothing suitable so I kindly asked for my money to be refunded. They would not refund and they asked again for me to select another door style. Again I responded that I would prefer a refund if my ordered door was not available. A few days later ETO informed me that they could now get my requested doors. So the order was processed and the cross-country delivery was on schedule and doors arrived in good condition. Barry at ETO doors was very attentive during this entire process. STAY AWAY!!! The worst most unethical company ever. Ordered special doors, waited over 4 months which I was aware of and prepared for but 12 doors that were over $1,000 each arrived heavily dinged and damaged. They literally separated the doors with a piece of sandwich wrap. I've sent dozens of pictures and quotes and they originally agreed to refund half the price of the doors that were deemed too damaged to repair and now refuse to pay for the damaged doors after 2 months of jacking me around and paying to have all the hinges drilled, installed and hung. They have no ethics at all. They have strung me along for over 2 months and now that the doors they said they would pay for repairs have been hung I have to pay to have then redrilled. Now 3 of the doors are delaminating to boot! I am now moving into a house that will not have any finished doors because I am not going to stain the doors twice!! This was the first time I ordered from ETO. I was concerned about the door quality and how it would survive shipping. I arrived last week and I had nothing to worry about. The door is really nice, solid, and beautifully crafted. It was packaged so well that each corner arrived sharp. It's also true to the measurements ordered. After installing the frame, it fit with only a little trimming off the bottom. Otherwise, it fit the frame like a charm. A lot of issues with meeting delivery date. Add at least 3-4 weeks to the promised date. They are good with sales, but after that the order goes in a black hole and you will not hear directly from anybody. Got delivered 11 doors from eto for new house. Arrived in 3 big crates on semi truck. Barely able to unload from truck since no forklift. Driver had to maneuver hand lift to move crates unto the lift to lower to ground. Barely got this done. Once on ground, screw driver gun and hammer got crates open. Lots of long pallets, bracing, cardboard have to be disposed of- so be aware of this. Doors are all packed and crated real good and doors are beautiful! read more

Updated from May 11: Still no resolution 2 weeks later. Lorena the claims manager is blaming her customer. It's clear that the veneer is defective on one of the 3 doors. She said we sanded the door. Even tho we were told to, we didn't. She said it was exposed to moisture. If that's true, why wouldn't the other two doors have the same problem? They were handled in the exact same way. Lorena is just doing what claims managers do--denying claims. And she's rude an accusatory about it. Two of the three we purchased at the same time were good. The 3rd had inconsistent grain in the veneer. It didn't accept the stain and looks pretty bad. ETO had us submit a warranty claim. Will update the review after we receive their response. But I would steer away from these doors if you want to avoid construction delays and hassles when you try to fix the issue. Coupled with the delivery and attitude problems, I would not recommend this company. There are other options. read more

With Audrey's help we were able to design and have built a fiberglass 42" wide door with a glass insert and composite frame when we were told locally that was impossible. We special ordered expecting it to take at least 8-12 weeks. Was around 9-10 weeks I think. It was packaged carefully and shipped with no issues from California to Louisiana. SOLID door at a great price. Shipping isn't cheap but it's expensive everywhere. Someone got in a hurry and forgot to smooth out caulking on one side during the glass installation, but that's a no brainer for correction before painting. I'd definitely purchase again as my needs come up. Well pleased. read more

I would order from ETO again in a heartbeat! They were way more cost-effective than two of our local stores. They offer a huge variety of doors and were able to get us exactly what we wanted, where other companies could not. They provided both 7 foot and 8 foot doors two panel arches which were hard to find elsewhere, and provided a 10 light French all in solid mahogany. Kevin did great getting us everything we wanted. Everyone who comes to our home comments on how beautiful the doors are. We did have to wait a good bit of time for the doors so I would definitely recommend ordering early on, especially if there are any special orders. The wait was well worth it. We also had a small mixup on door swings, and their customer service worked graciously with us and sent us a new door. Josh was great and kept me informed of what was going on on the original door delay as well as the mixup on the door swing. The doors were well wrapped individually and delivered in very hearty crates. There were minor damage on some doors (3 out of 18...good odds) that I as a non-contractor and woman was able to fix without difficulty. (Some just needed a little extra sanding and two needed a little wood putty and sanding) The doors were very easy to stain, and took the stain well. The delivery was well executed and communicated. The delivery driver, Andrew, was the absolute best and most professional delivery driver I have experienced throughout our whole home build. No nonsense and knew exactly how to get the job done unloading 18 doors. Thank you ETO for providing a quality product at an affordable price.
