HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS BARBERSHOP I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I booked an appointment for both my children with the owner of this barbershop my kids walked in with their dad he takes my oldest son and then has my youngest sit with a rookie barber named FLAKO that just started working there why I DONT KNOW both appointments was booked with the OWNER! This person clearly doesn't know what he is doing my son father was watching him the entire time and he kept asking the owner ELVIS what he should do next and then when FLAKO notices that he gave my son a bald spot he froze and didn't know what to do next he even avoided eye contact with my son father. He then proceeded to continue to ask Elvis what to do next funny part is they kept talking in Spanish thinking my son father didn't understand/ know the owner kept saying just spray it with black die basically so it can blend in! After seeing my kids I quickly messaged the owner Elvis and explained to him that both my kids were not happy with their service MIND YOU I WAS CHARGED 90$ for both kids I explained my frustration and his response was " i don't know what you're talking about" completely unprofessional and rude! He seen this video as a business owner he should have taken accountability and worked something out with the customer!!!!! So I posted these pictures on my social media expressing my disappointment and frustration WITHOUT exposing who it was because I was considerate now I'm not since he wants to block me on social media and not take accountability for this!!! MIND YOU it's my son first time cutting his hair EVER! Next day his wife sees what I post on MY social media and messages me and calls me and start getting disrespectful why I don't know it wasn't her business it wasn't her salon I reached out to the owner with my concerns and he did nothing to even try and fix the situation regardless if you consider my kids "family" ! I never asked for no discount and I always paid full price for haircuts in the past! This could of been handled in a whole different manner if you just man up and take accountability for what occurred at your barbershop with your employees and let's not even mention my oldest son haircut my son asked for something in specific and he does whatever he wants this has since triggered my son mental state where he states he refuses to go on vacation we are supposed to leave tomorrow and my son also refuses to go to orientation for school all because Elvis messed up his haircut! I hate to write negative reviews but I just found out that I'm not the only one who got bedbugs from this dirty barber shop. When I complained about it months ago they blew me off and said I probably got the bed bugs elsewhere but now, hearing that there were multiple customers who got bed bugs after going to this establishment I wanted to let others know. This is my first time having bed bugs and its an absolute disaster. Had to move out of my apartment, throw away most of my belongings and spend $$$ on exterminators. Its been horrible!!! read more

Day before my wedding. All I wanted was to clean up the back and sides. Made it very clear "please don't touch the top, my fiancée likes it as-is"...Elvis nods dismissively and goes back to talking to his co-worker. He ends up taking INCHES off of the top. I go home, my girl takes one look at me and cries. To top it all off, even though I paid cash, he ends up using the credit card info I provided to reserve the session to give himself a $20 tip!?! This place is seriously an undiscovered gem. Here's the story... I work over by the CambridgeSide Galleria at an Internet startup company. I used to go to Johns Barber Shop in Central Square for years, and I finally decided I needed to find some place walking distance from work. So one day I rolled over to a place called "Famous Cutz" and that's where I met Elvis. I got the BEST haircut I've ever had, and when he opened up this new place on his own, I followed him. PROS: - Excellent Haircut. Elvis is excessively attentive to detail, and he isn't going to rush. Every aspect of the cut will be perfect. I've been to dozens of barbers over 30 years, and Elvis is the best. - A Seriously Great Value. I honestly have lost track of what the actual pricing is, but I think it's like $18 for a haircut. I pay like $25 and I get a full haircut, a full shave, my eyebrows trimmed up, etc. - Coordination is a breeze. You just get Elvis' cell phone number, and you text him when you want to come in. CONS (I preface these by saying they aren't really CONS, but rather things to be aware of) - If you are in a rush and you want a 20 minute haircut, this isn't the place for you. Things are pretty chill and the place does not run at break-neck speed. But of course, that's why the service is so good. - If you don't like spanish music and a neighborhood feel, you might not dig this place. Personally, I like the vibe and it's a refreshing change from my day to day routine. Long story short, this place is a total no-brainer. Beware! You will have to wait at least 40 minutes to get a haircut! If you have a meeting with your friends after the cut, Cancel it! Because the cut will not be finished on time. This is my second time visiting this place. Let me be clear...Elvis is one of the best barbers in town. However, in every visit, he kept me wait at least 45 minutes. First time I waited for 45 minutes. Then I waited for 55 minutes today. That's almost an hour! I booked him almost a month ago. That's plenty of time to manage the schedule. If you are working down a list of new barbers to try I would start somewhere else. It's generally difficult to book Elvis, he's extremely popular and has many clients willing to refer him, but my experience was far from euphoric. Before booking I was unaware of Elvis' previous unprofessional conduct. I made the appointment to see him almost a week in advance. Before I arrived he apparently told his partner David to take care of me because he "needed a break and didn't feel like it." Being this was my first time here I had no idea I was actually being passed off. In the middle of my sitting I received an email saying my appointment was canceled and rescheduled with David. I inquired and that's when I was told the name of my barber was actually David and of Elvis' apathetic mood. During the entire cut Elvis sat in the corner on his phone. The cut was going fine until David buzzed the clippers right over my cowlick knowing full well it was there. He made up an excuse that it wouldn't have any effect because of his technique. However, when we styled it began sticking up so much it required substantial product to flatten it. When we finished the cut and went to styling, he tried to convince me that my current hair product was "shit." He implored me to try this off brand product that's not even listed on their website. He scooped a heavy amount of greasy amber colored pomade and slicked down my hair as flat as possible. I told him I generally like more volume and asked to go to the bathroom to wash it out. I would go into more detail, but this barbershop's business model is clearly suck in Elvis' narcissism. He definitely lost a client and from what I'm reading I'm not the only one. read more

I would give it 2 stars but pricing was completely different than what was posted - they charged me $35 vs $25 that was on their posted sign for a cut and beard trim. I don't consider myself having too complicated of a haircut, but it's been messed up enough that I scrutinize where I get my haircut pretty harshly. However, I have been here twice and both times came out with the perfect cut. The guys here know what they're doing by far what impresses me most is their attention to detail. I went in after work, right before they closed, and they still meticulously make sure every hair is in order. Only downside is don't be in a hurry when you go, even if you schedule ahead. After being a loyal customer of Elvis' for several years, I won't be going back. He's a very talented barber, but he lacks professionalism in some areas. After a haircut where he used a new product (afro twist sponge) I came back for the same cut a couple of weeks later. I get the cut, hand him the cash and ask for change. While he's holding my money, I was told the cut was $5 more expensive. Now, don't get me wrong - $5 isn't break the bank money at all, but when I brought up that he should've let me know it was $5 extra up front, he quickly became defensive, told me the first time he did it it was a "sample" (never said this to me though) and claimed I should have known to ask and the first time he used the twist sponge. I'm all for paying people for good work, so I told him to go ahead and keep the $5 dollars and was then told not to come back again because I wasn't worth his time. Mind you, I've been a customer for years, always tip, and have referred a bunch of new business to him. I called to make an appointment to Euphoria barber shop. I was referred to the online appointment booking system but the barber, didn't know his name at the time, decided to take me in for a 6pm appointment which I was later told I was "lucky" to receive. I get to the barbershop about 5 minutes before start and I am greeted by the only barber in the shop, Elvis. After a few short minutes, I'm next up. I got my haircut which actually turned out pretty awesome (I got a fade). Some things that I believe the shop can improve on: -Update pricing on wall. As a new customer, the prices on the wall is what I believed to be true. You can say it's false advertisement because I was expecting to pay $17 but at the end of my cut I was told I owed $23 + an additional $2 because he brushed my hair. He did not mention that using a sponge brush on my hair would cost me. I look at this as an up-sell tactic and very unprofessional. I suggest he be upfront with pricing. After I mentioned I planned on paying $17 based on the sign, he said "Yea, I haven't gotten around to updating that". From the looks of the other 1 star reviews, this has been an issue for some time. -Accept cards! We are in the technology age, no one carries cash anymore! This place does not accept cards. I literally had to walk a block down the street to get cash out of an ATM at a fee of $2 charge. (Now we're $10 additional dollars I did not plan to spend). What made it worse was he didn't have change when I came back so I had to go back out (in the rain) to ask the bakery next door for change. You can imagine all of these hidden fees accumulated into the barber's tip... and my next haircut at this point. No guts without glory. Things I did like: Clean shop Clean bathroom Nice Latin/ Hip hop music and, my Haircut No doubt Elvis gives a great haircut. Compared to other Cambridge barbers (Isaacs, East Coast, Floyds etc), Euphoria is the best one I've been too thus far since moving to Boston in September. He just really needs to work on professionalism, updating pricing (or at least being upfront and not slyly including it in the final price), and accepting debit/credit. read more

I am impressed by his attention to detail, including in how he operates the business. He runs by appointment; in fact he'll be rolling out an online reservation website in the coming weeks. His brand is refined and he will give you a cut that compliments your style and hair type. Other reviewers are correct, Elvis was not upfront about the cost of the cut ($25 for fade and hard part), but considering how exceptional he is, I recommend that you, as a future customer of Elvis, see it this way: Elvis will undercharge you for an exceptional quality cut. If you want a $17 haircut, ask for it, and you'll get something simple and clean. If you don't care about spending $25 or $30, don't mention price and he'll spend quality time with you and provide luxurious lines and details based on your guidance. My recommendation: Tell Elvis what you're trying to achieve with the cut and give him creative freedom. Made appointment, asked to wait a bit - no problem - 15 min, 30min, 45 min not a word even after I told him I had to leave at specific time to keep appointment. Finally had to leave and was told to "just make new appt" and "this happens". Well what also happens in most businesses is that there is an apology for keeping customer waiting, not a word. So if you decide to go make sure to bring time - lots of it - and don't expect a customer centric attitude. Pity really love to support owner operated businesses but won't be back. read more
